    Default Move tutor question

Say you have a Pokemon that learns a move AFTER it evolves, but the evolved pokemon can't learn it - once the evolved pokemon be able to learn the move from the move tutor once it reaches the level it WOULD HAVE learned it in its pre-evolved form?

Ok, I think I understand what you mean.

Let's use Torchic as an example. It learns Flamethrower, but only if you stop it from evolving.

But, if you took a Combusken that HADNT learned Flamethrower to the Move Tutor, it couldnt relearn Flamethrower because Combusken doesn't learn it naturally. If you took a LV 100 Torchic, it could relearn Flamethrower, though.

I think that's the answer to your question...?

What you should do in cases like this is raise the pokémon, without letting it evolve, until it's learned its last natural move...then, evolve it and use Heart Scales to teach the evolved form moves it would have learned naturally if you'd let it evolve earlier.

Yeah, that's probably the only possible way. Too bad you have to waste these rare Heart Scales... I wish you could get them by using Thief or Covet on Luvdisc or something.

You CAN do that to obtain Heart Scales, thats how people generally get them (although there are a few in dive spots)

And by the way, that's not it: there's one on a rock at Lilycove's beach, and if I'm not mistaken there is one at the beach right by Mauville.

They wash up on beaches all over the place. You can find over a dozen of them without ever seeing a wild Luvdisc.

Oh, that's useful. I didn't know that. I only knew these two and some else in dive spots.
