Linc vs Syberia (Ref: Green Lanturn)

2 Pokemon each.
I choose first, opponent attacks fisrt.
Area: At the base of an active volcano. There are many fire Pokemon here, but they only come out when their area is threatened. The volcano may explode if it is hit with a great force, and will send boulders falling down if it does. There is some soft soil good for burrowing, and there are some caves.
DQ Time: 1 week.
I'll use Tsuhubi, my Dratini, and Sanjeran, my Scyther.

Well, since I'm already reffing your other battle, I think I'll go ahead and accept this one. Glamdring (Charmander M) and Kenobi (Abra M), this battle's yours.

Kenobi, set up a medium-sized Substitute to protect yourself from whatever they decide to throw at you, then attack Tsuhubi from behind it with a pair of Psychic attacks. Glamdring, knock them both off their feet with your most intimidating Scary Face, then keep that Scyther on his toes with a pair of Rock Slides.

OK, Linc, just in case, im gonna need genders for your pokemon.

Round 1: Linc vs Syberia

Pre-battle:

We are set in dangerous volcano base. 2 trainers eye each other with hopes of winning the oncoming fight. I, the ref, approachand call it down, " 2 on 2 tag-team," and the match sets off. The first trainer, Linc, reaches to his pockets, and throws out 2 pokeballs. 1 pops open to reveal a nice little dratini, the other, a fierce scyther. His opponent, Syberia, glares at the two pokemon, and releases 2 pokeballs of his own, a confident charmander, and a sleeping abra. The trainers shout their attacks and the battle begins!

Round 1:

The match sets of as Sanjeran rushes at Glamdring. He raises his scythes and prepares to swipe the charmander, but instead he is met with a most scary face. He is taken aback and does not complete his attack.Tsuhubi turns to Kenobi and emits waves of electrical energy towards the Abra, but he has already formed a physical copy as a substitute. The waves hit the dummy and are sucked in, having no real effect.

Sanjeran, a bit angered of his shock, once again raises his scythe, only this time with more malice. He slashes Glamdring who goes back onto the volcano. He looks back and smashes his arms into the volcano, causing a massive pile of rocks to fall on sanjeran, and himself, as he is backed up against the volcano. Meanwhile, a few meters away, Tsuhubi has been forming an energy ball at the top of her head, and she fires the hyper beam at kenobi. Kenobi begins to glow Orange and his psychic energy diverts the beam away from the dummy, towards a tree nearby, demolishing it and sending a few pidgey flying away.

Glamdring digs himself out of the pile of rocks to find sanjeran has done the same, he smashes his fists once more, and before the second slash could be completed, sanjeran is once again toppled with rocks. Glamdring manages to jump out of the way. Tsuhubi is somewhat helpless now, as it is recovering from the beam. Kenobi once again glows orange, and raises tsuhubi into the air, and tosses him to the ground.

Tsuhubi, once you recover, try another Thunder Wave at Kenobi, and then try a Fire Blast. Sanjeran, once you get out of the rocks, try to use some more False Swipes, and then hit Glamdring with a Double Edge. Oh, and GL, they're both Male.

Kenobi, you've still got your sub up and he's trying to Thunder Wave you, so let's make the most of this chance. Use a quick Gravijaa Slam on Tsuhubi while he's concentrating on your body double, then lower yourself back to solid ground with Psychic.

Glamdring, while Sanjeran's still trapped beneath those rocks, let's make him as uncomfortable as possible, shall we? Fire Spin all around him; make it like an oven in there! Then if he hasn't gotten out of the rocks yet, psych yourself up with Swords Dance, otherwise combat that False Swipe hand-to-hand with a Slash of your own. Finally, Counter that Double-Edge right back in his face!

Kenobi: Gravijaa Slam* (Tsuhubi)~Psychic (self)
Glamdring: Fire Spin (Sanjeran)~Swords Dance/Slash (Sanjeran)~Counter (Sanjeran)

*Gravijaa Slam is a combo of Teleport and Seismic Toss in which the user grabs the victim, Teleports both of them high above the arena, and then sends the helpless pokemon hurtling back towards solid ground. As my old physics teacher once said, "It's not flying that scares me. It's being 35,000 feet in the air and suddenly not flying that I'm afraid of."

Round 2:

Round 2 sets off with the pairing of Tsuhubi and Kenobi. Tsuhubi, recovered at last from his Hyper Beam(note, it only takes one action to recover,lol.), he focused his attention once more on emmitting waves of electrical energy at the Abra, or what seemed to be the abra. The substitute once again absorbed the waves as Kenobi seized the oppurtunity to grab onto his opponent and telport high into the air. Attention diverted, Sanjeran has now climbed out the the rocks he was under, and was getting up, until he was met full force by a tornado, so to speak, of fire, which rapped itself around his area, preventing his attack. Glamdring let out a cry of joy.

High in the air, Abra now takes the time to toss the dratini down as hard as possible. Tsuhubi falls to the ground with a large *crunch* and is very slow on the get-up. Meanwhile, Sanjeran has been freed, as glamdring decided not to continue his attack. Both combatants rushed, meeting head on, one with a scythe, one with a pair of really sharp nails. They collided, each getting a bit of a scratch, until they broke apart. Each eyeing the other furoiusly.

Rising from the ground, Tsuhubi looked up to see Kenobi psychicly lowering himself. He mustered up a lot of the energy within and sent out a nice fire symbol at the abra. Kenobi, being unprepared for such an attack, was hit full blast by the fire blast, and fell the remaining distance to the ground. Away from this action, other takes place. Sanjeran is flying full force at Glamdring, who is just sitting there.As Sanjeran approaches, Glamdring begins to glow white, and when they collide, glamdring is not the only thing blown back. Both pokemon fall to the ground as Glamdring counter was succesful.

No no no, dont think of it that way. I was just inputing how usually in the anime Abra sleeps through most of the battel. Hes not actually asleep as in the status effect. What i mean, if you saw the episode with Sabrina vs Ash, is where abra is asleep, but still battles.

I can take it out if you'd like, i just thought it would be more anime-like. lol.

Tell me if youd like it removed.

Ill discontinue it in further reffings.
b/c now that i think about it, it would conflict with the status, oh well, your choice.

I don't mind it at all, now that you've explained it to me. I just thought that somehow he had been put to sleep and couldn't attack.

EDIT: I know I'm not supposed to do this, but check the date/time of this edit and you'll see that it's before the date/time of Linc's next attack post. So, in other words, I'm not cheating.

Kenobi, that didn't go as well as I hoped, but we can still pull this off. Zap Sanjeran with a Shock Wave, then hit him with a pair of Psychics.

Glamdring, slash away at Tsuhubi with your Dragon Claw!

Round 3:

We set off again. This time, Glamdring rushes at Tsuhubi, his fist glowing with dragon energy. As he reaches his target, he is blasted away by a jet of water. This is most painful to the little charmander. As Kenobi charges electrical energy, Sanjeran charges normal energy. Both release at the same time. As kenobi is hit with the beam, he flies back to the ground. Sanjeran is also hit by the electrical shock wave, but his flying subtype gives him a weakness to this, and he is hurt quite badly.

Once again, Glamdring charges at Tsuhubi, but to the same avail, he is blasted once gain with a stream of water, and this time, confusion takes over. Sanjeran takes his time recovering from the hyper beam. A weakened kenobi rises and charges his psychic powers, glowing orange. Sanjera is lifted and immediately slammed against the volcano wall, causing a couple pebbles to come and hit him. Kenobi glances at these, and puts on a psychic smile.

And for the third time, Charmander begins his advance, though, looking around, he stops in confusion, and then swipes himself. Sanjeran slowly rises and rushes at kenobi as fast he can, his scythe glowing a metalic color, but as hereaches him, he isblocked by orange energy, which flings him back onto the volcano. A cyndaquil emerges from a hole, most annoyed, and prepares to attack the next thing to come his way.

Sorry I haven't posted, I've been zipping around lately and I've only been able to get on for a little while each day.

Tsuhubi, use a Double Team, and hit Glamdring with two Water Pulses again.

Alright, you've got your backs against the wall here, but you two are far from beaten. This is where experience starts to show through.

Let's do away with Sanjeran right now if we can. Kenobi, don't let him get close to Glamdring. Slam him into the volcano with Psychic; try to get him as close to that Cyndaquil as you possibly can. Glamdring, I want you to take Tsuhubi's clones out of the picture with a quick Swift, then finish that Scyther off with a Rock Slide!

Now, Kenobi, I want you to show Tsuhubi how pokemon are supposed to work together. He can use as many Water Pulses as he wants, but unless he's got some way of expelling the liquid from his body, they won't do him any good. Psychic his mouth completely shut; we don't want him hurting anything. Glamdring, take the opportunity that your teammate has given you to hit him with your strongest Dragon Rage. Or if Sanjeran has not yet fallen, down him once and for all with a Flamethrower. If this works, we might just turn the tide in this battle.

Sorry for the delay.And BTW, Syberia, I must apologize. In my last reffing, I completely forgot about the Substitute that had still been standing since the first round, as a result, Kenobi has regained the damage lost from the hyper beam, and the substitute is now broken. Im pretty sure Linc can agree on this as well, as it is only fair.

Round 4 sets off, as all four pokemon receive their next orders. Tsuhubi begins by concentrating hard, and forming several copies of himself. This is to no avail, as Glamdring sends a package of three glowing stars at the real tsuhubi, who, is the only one emmiting heat, which allows the stars to immediately hit their target, causing the doubles to fade away. Sanjeran was attemtping to stop this, moving to intercept glamdring with a slash, however, he was stopped by an orange aura surrounding him, Kenobi's psychic attack. He is slammed into the volcano once again, although, much to his dismay, the cyndaquil also attacks him with a hard tackle, and then dissapears beyond the bushes.

Glamdring now takes the oppurtunity to smash his arm into the volcano, causing several more rocks to fall on sanjeran, who was making a final charge at him, but not only did rocks fall on sanjeran, but also the confused charmander, who caused several rocks to head his way in confusion. Tsuhubi tries to protect his partner by launching a spurt of ultrasonic water-waves at glamdring, but another orange aura surrounds him, launching him up into the air, forcing the water in another direction.

Sanjeran is weak, try as he might to conjure up a powerful beam, he cannot raise enough power, so he is immediatly hit with a flamethrower from Glamdring, and knocked out. The ref declares Sanjeran out of the battle.
On the other end, the same ordeal is happening, a spurt of water, and an orange aura of psychic ability.

You both did great. Now we can concentrate on that Dratini. Kenobi, tie his serpentine body in a knot with Psychic. I'd like to see him squeeze his way out of that one. Then pound away with a couple of Ice Punches.

Glamdring, hit him with a Dragonbreath while Kenobi is tying him up, then close in with a couple of Slashes.

As round 5 begins, Tsuhubi is somewhat, partnerless, as he faces off against the other two pokemon. Abra begins by sending orange psychic energy, trying to trap his oppoent, but a mysterious shield appears, and absorbs the energy. Glamdring fires his own attack, a dragonbreath. The shield, absorbing this too, causies great strain on Tsuhubi.

Kenobi runs at Tsuhubi, his fist gleaming with ice energy, but he is met with a blast in the face, a fire blast to be exact. He is launched back and lands with a thud, slow on the up-and-go. Tsuhubi is slashed from behind by Glamdring and yells in pain.

As Abra is some distance away, he begins to run. Tsuhubi is not paying attention to him, and sends a sonic aqua pulse at Charmander, who takes the hit as he is running at the dragon. After a bit, tsuhubi has no choice, but get hit by the ice punch, causing him to freeze a bit, but the warm area causes a defrost. Charmander is not only weak, but it seems the supersonic effects have taken place, he is confused!

Round 6 begins with each pokemon at minimal prime. Tsuhubi aims to knock out the charmander from the competition, but as he launches the supersonic aqua burst, charmander is nowhere to be found., All that remains is a big hole, and a lizard hiding underground. Abra has been setting up a viel of stars that now prevents any status inflictions.

Tshubi aims yet another aqua pulse at the charmander, but once again, he stays down, leaving the wate to drip down the whole, making minute puddles, causing minor discomfort for the fire lizard. Abra now runs at Tsuhubi and hits him hard with a fist full of ice. Tsuhubi reals in pain as he is launched backward.

Once again the lizard is down. Abra runs once again, but as he prepares to strike, tsuhubi launches a small flamethrower, which causes the ice to melt, and cancelling both attacks.

Kenobi, dish out as many Psychics as it takes to finish Tsuhubi off. Glamdring, since I don't know if you need to survive the battle or not in order to evolve, just sit tight down in your hole for now.

Kenobi: Psychic x3
Glamdring: Nothing x3

Tsuhubi, go down in the hole that Glamdring made to avoid the Psychic attacks, and while your down there hit Glamdring with as many Water Pulses you can make.

ok. and Syberia, he doesnt have to be awake(not fainted) when this is over for him to gain the experiance, he just has to have participated.

What may be the final round begins as Tsuhubi makes a dodge towards the hoe and immediately dives in. Abra, a bit confused by this, continues his attack, but all he manags to pick up, is dirt, though it seems like a good strategy. All Charmander does is stay in the hole.

This proves to be charmanders undoing, as Tsuhubi, down in the hole, blasts a jet of water at him, causing him at last to faint. Abra once again picks up more dirt in his psychic attack.

One final roundof digging, and tsuhubi is uncovered! This is, however, to his advantage, as he blasts the abra with the supersonic water waves, knocking him to the ground.

Tsuhubi, bounce around the arena with Agility to try to avoid the attacks that Kenobi throws at you while using Ice Beam.

Who knew finishing off an opponent would be this difficult?

Kenobi, Taunt him into attacking you and if he comes within range, give him an Ice Punch to the head. If he decides to keep his distance, hit him with a Shadow Ball instead.

What may be the final round begins(havent I sai this before?). Dratini begins going aroun the field like crazy, full of speed with his psyched up boost. Abra then takes the time to make a huge face, and a nice teasing limmerick. Enraged, Tsuhubi begins to slow down, angered by abra, as he draws in closer.

Now the angered Tsuhubi sets off by launching a beam of Ice at Abra. Abra has been attacking as well, sending a ball of energy at his opponent. Both attack pass one another, and both pokemon are hit. Both fall to the ground, bu it seems that Abras feet are frozen to the ground. What a catastrophe!

Tsuhubi tries to take advantage, but after launching an Ice Beam, he is much too weak to send off another, allowing for Abra to finish him with another ball of energy. Tsuhubi, though fighting bravely, was weak in energy, and couldnt finish off the abra in time. He falls to the ground, as this battle comes to a close.

I'm glad someone told me that you had reffed, or else I may never have realized this was finished. You fought well, Linc, especially there at the end. Tsuhubi wouldn't go down without quite a fight.

Green Lanturn, thanks for being active and reffing this for me.
