Battle

Arena: A grassy field in a random town, the weather has been horrible for this match, as the rain hasn't let up at all since Prickly performed a Rain Dance at the start of the battle...

Bill: "Okay, Prickly! Let's use the rain to our advantage with a Thunder attack! Follow that up with a Thunder Wave and a Toxic to put this cat out of commission!"

Ted: "I don't think so.. Kawaii, run as quickly as possible to avoid the Thunder, tackling that Jolteon! Then use an Ice Beam and an Iron Tail!"

Prickly:60% Fatigued
Kawaii:88% Confident

The attacks have been issued and Round Three is underway. Due to this stormy situation, I wonder how well the battlers' mobility in the wet grass would be. Even though Prickly is very fatigued from the previous rounds, he tries to remain confident. Kawaii looks very confident regardless of the storm.

Prickly goes into a battle stance breathing heavily from fatigue and sparks of electricity come out from his prickly fur. Kawaii, still confident, smirks at Prickly. Prickly's fur suddenly stands on end and a streaming bolt of lightning shoots out of his body. Kawaii quickly dodges to the side and away from where the lightning's target was intended to hit. Kawaii starts to advance towards Prickly but stops in mid-step. The lightning hits the wet grass and a shockwave of electricity fills the arena. Kawaii cries in pain from the amplified shock of electricity and her front leg goes into a kneeling stance.

Prickly goes into a kneeling position also. This kind of extreme attacking is really tiring him out. Kawaii, who was less fatigued, recovers from the previous attack first. She goes into a full standing stance and bares her teeth. Icy blue sparks come through her teeth and with a cry, an icy blue stream of light shoots from Kawaii's mouth and at Prickly. The icy beam hits into Prickly's front in the torso area and freezes on contact. Prickly growls in frustration and sees part of his front legs were frozen to the ground also. This doesn't look too good for Prickly. But maybe there's some hope. The rain is starting to lighten up and possibly stop.

Neither pokemon noticed the easing downpoar and remain to concentrate in their battle. Kawaii gives a little giggle after such a direct hit to her opponent. She gives a smirk and charges towards Prickly as fast as she can. Her tail starts to glow bright silver as she nears her target. Prickly bares his teeth and starts to makes sounds as if he was clearing his throat. Right at the last possible moment, Prickly hacks out a vile purple ooze from his mouth and into Kawaii's eyes. She cries in pain and loses her balance. She collides into Prickly and both of them go down. The ice that kept Prickly immobile has now been shattered but both pokemon are a bit dazed after that "slip-up".

End of Round

Prickly: 35% Extremely Fatigued
Kawaii: 60% Disoriented Vision and Fatigued [Toxic Effect: 4% Next Round]

Arena: Rain has lightened up. Will possibly stop within the next round. Grassy field is soaked with water making it more easily to lose balance and/or slip.

Round Commence!

The two pokemon face off against each other as the rain continues to fall, the storm rages on giving Prickly the edge in this round. Following the trainers commands, Prickly's hair stands on end as a bolt of atmospheric thunder is blasted through the air, given the raining conditions, the attack jumps from droplet to droplet charging straight into Kawaii, shocking her and knocking the cat down. Shaking herself off Kawaii charges towards Prickly tackling him and finishing with an icy blue beam which basicly plasters Prickly to the already damp grass.

Unable to move Prickly goes for revenge, blue static appears around his fur as bolts of cyan lightning fire at Kawaii and encircle her trapping her and paralysing the poor Pokemon, seizing his chance Prickly spat a toxic which head straight for poor Kawaii when her elegant tail turned iron hard and bashed the poison away which burnt the grass on the floor. Kawaii whimpered in pain as her tail received burns from the reaction of the iron and poison on her tail.

Stats:
Prickly:51% Fatigued, Frozen to the ground.
Kawaii:66% Shocked, and Slight burns to tail disabling her Iron Tail move for 2 rounds.

Round 3:

The battle began again with a bang. Prickly growled and opened it's mouth and the needles on his yellow coat stood straight up toward the sky. Static built up along the fur. All it took was a little more time to charge.

Kawaii braced itself. It would wait until the very second the lightning struck to attack with her strongest Tac[kle.

The needles on the Jolteon were at the highest they could go. With a deep beath Prickly shot the lightning bolt out of it's open mouth. Kawaii merely missed the attack. Her left shoulder was hit and paralyzed. Still confident in her abilities, Kawaii ran up to Prickly before he could catch his breath and hit him with her right shoulder.

Prickly backflipped and manged to let out a weak Thunder Wave. Sparks flew and only manged to start hitting the wet soil infront of Kawaii. Prickles was obviously out of breath from both two electrical attacks as well as earlier attacks. Kawaii decided it was the perfect opprotunity to beat up on Prickly. She let out a Ice Beam attack aimed right at the feet. Prickles tried to dodge, but his body wouldn't let him. Both front legs were completly frozen. The rain caused the temperature to be essecially cold.

Kawaii ran at full blast. Turning right in a split second, her tail turned toward Prickly. Having no confidence left in him, the Jolteon let go of the best Toxic he could muster. The ball of sludge hit the steeltail of Kawaii and, like a baseball, splattered everywhere. Both Pokemon were completely covered in the poisonous goo.

Pokemon:

Prickly (male Jolteon)-Bill
30% health
Conditions: Front legs frozen, poisened, out of breath

Kawaii (female Delcatty)-Ted
80%
Conditions: Left side paralyzed, poisened, still confident

Arena:

Suzaku: A bit heavy on the damage to Prickly but everything else was fine. Rookie ref

multiple-laser: hmm, it doesn't seem likely that Kawaii could pull a Tackle and Ice Beam off so quickly in succession, since she could also be fatigued. Also, the poison on iron thing is a bit iffy as well and your grammar needs some work (run-on sentences and the like). Not approved but another mock reffing will be up soon. Look at some of the reffings a bit more then try again

Thy: How could poison hit Kawaii's tail and still manage to get all over the arena? Also, some of the reffing didn't make sense and some of your sentences were short and could've been extended. As with multiple-laser, you should look around a bit and get the feel of reffings before coming back to a new mock reffing

Just for emphasis:

Sub-refs stink. There are no advantages to subreffing anything. I have three battles that have been un-reffed for quite awhile, and my opinion is that it's because people don't see the advantage to sub-reffing. You need to up the money sub-refs get or make them seem good, otherwise a battle in which a ref leaves will never finish.

The problem is, we don't have a lot of refs to start out with anyway. And sub-refs do get the same amount if they ref most of the battle, which is probably the case with all or most of your battles

Prickly(male Jolteon; Bill) - 60% fatigued
Kawaii(female Delcatty; Ted) - 88% confident

Round 3

The rain hasn't stopped over the valley ever since Prickly's use of Rain Dance at the beginning of this match. The trainers, Bill and Ted, shout their commands to their Pokemon and they obey. And by that, Prickly looked towards the sky with his hairs standing stiff, summoning a divine bolt of lightning from the sky. Kawaii runs out of the bolt's path, yet still feels a light stun from the blow, lunging her lithe body against Prickly, with enough power to temporarily knock him to his knees.

After seconds of struggling in the mud, Prickly picks up back onto his paws, and creates a small shockwave from his body, firing it towards the cat in attempts to paralyze her. Closing her eyes, Kawaii fires an Ice Beam from her mouth towards the Jolteon, yet she still is forced to deal with slight paralysis.

Prickly, with slight confidence, fires his final attack for the round. Trying hard not to taste his poison, he fires the Toxic attack at the seemingly defenseless feline. Kawaii, slightly groveling from the paralysis, manages to pull away from the toxic that endured the rainwater and leaps into the air, her tail transforming into a steel blade and comes down upon Prickly, the blade-like tail slashing at him like a sword. The Jolteon winces from the cuts, trying to make it through. The round ends, as the rain still pours and temperatures slightly falling, both Pokemon are weakened.

After Round
Prickly (male Jolteon; Bill) - 48% cold, feeling pain, more fatigued
Kawaii (female Delcatty; Ted) - 72% slightly shivering, a bit depressed, paralyzed in back legs, growing tired

Kikyo: Rookie. As I've told people before, thunder comes from the user, not the sky (only one episode has shown it come from the sky but every other thunder Pikachu has used has come from him). I'm not really sure how Kawaii suffered more damage since she dealt 3 blows to Prickly while he only stunned her from the thunder so you might want to work on the damage a bit

Round 3 Begin:

A golden like aura surrounded Prickly’s body, electricity flowing from every electrical thing that is in the town, the electrical current jumping from one clear rain drop to another. The eyes on the powerful electrical dog mean business and clearly has trust in the trainers command. Prickly unleash several bolts of thunder down towards the earth, all separated by only a couple of feet. In reaction towards this attack, Kawaii dives away from the attack, the thunder hitting the ground with a direct hit on where Kawaii just was seconds before. Now Kawaii is running around the field in circles. However, due to the mud the rain has created, Delcatty speed was lowered and as it changes in for the attack, the Jolteon jumps out of the way, Kawaii running straight onward.
Angered by the failure of its other attack, Prickly unleashes a wave of electrical currents towards Kawaii. Kawaii confidently opens its mouth and unleashes a powerful ray of ice towards Prickly, the electrical waves breaking in the intense cold and the ice beam continuing onwards smashing into Prickly, the water from the sky creating a thin layer of ice to cover the Pokemon’s body.
Using the frozen Pokemon to its advantage Kawaii charges towards Prickly, an iron coating covering the cute cat. Using the only part of its body that is free from ice, Prickly shoots a liquid of acid and poison, the cold damaging all his senses and the toxic barely getting out of his mouth. Continuing with its charge, Kawaii jumps into the air, performing a 180°C twist, its tail slamming into the frozen Thunder Dog, the ice shattering and Prickly getting knocked back, the rain continuing to pelt down on both Pokemon. Seems like confidence is the key to this battle.

Prickly grins as he hears his commands. As tired as he is, he knows that with the rain it will be extremely rare that his thunder will miss. Kawaii takes off running towards. She hits a puddle of water and is sent sliding at the same time that Prickly releases a huge surge of electricity from his spiky mane. She somehow manages to keep from falling down, but as the electricity travels through the rain and slams into Kawaii, it knocks her down. She gets up and resumes her course and tackles Prickly to the ground. Before he can recover and get up, Kawaii greets him with a freezing cold beam of ice energy. Prickly mutters somethign under his breath, but retaliates by releasing three rings of electrical energy. They ensnare Kawaii, who starts to panic as she feels her muscles locking up as the rings disappear. Kawaii can't do anything until her muscles loosen up, and shes a sitting duck for the time being. Prickly takes the opportunity to hack up an incrediable vile tasting fluid and spits it all over Kawaii who is still rooted to the spot with paralysis as the toxins start to eat away at her house. As the round draws to a close, the rain continues to pelt both combatants.

Prickly: 46% Fatigued, feeling more confident, rain dance active (2 more rounds)

Kawaii: 75% frustrated, paralized, poisoned (2% Next round)

Before the Round Begins

Both the Sandslash and the Lickitung are virtually untouched. The arena they are in is very precarious, with the boulders hanging in midair, ready to rain down on any unlucky victims below. Deimos, suffering from minor wounds, is just as ready as Atari, who has taken no damage this battle yet.

Battle: Round 2

Atari begins the round with some pounds to his stomach, inciting his anger and turning into a berserker. Deimos doesn’t notice and summons up the sticky poison goo that he spits at his foe. The goo seeps into the bizarre creature’s skin and infects Atari with some deadly poison. This only infuriates the Lickitung even more.

Disregarding her trainer’s command, Atari propels himself at his enemy, his berserk behavior taking over. Deimos easily steps out of the way and begins to dig a hole with his sharp claws. Within moments the Sandslash is deep underground, and he begins to call for a sandstorm.

Atari is now oblivious to the fact that his opponent is nowhere to be seen. Atari shoots out several angry ice beams, all short and varying in power. Unfortunately for the Lickitung, some of the ice energy hits a key boulder in the canyon and the avalanche begins. Underground, Deimos conjures up a wind that begins throwing sand and dirt around. This is nothing, however, compared to the massive rockslide occurring up top. The boulders come crashing down, one effectively cutting off Deimos’ hole, and a few others slamming into the enraged Atari. Finally the avalanche stops although the sandstorm does not. Atari is still in pain, but somehow still furious. Deimos cannot be heard, deep underground.

End of Battle Statistics:

Deimos: 95% - Underground, rock cutting off hole and the inflow of air.
Atari: 81% - In pain, badly poisoned(2% per round), berserk(3 more actions)
Arena: Sandstorm(3 more actions), rock fall having been just completed, with boulders piling everywhere.

This may not be my place, but I have a suggestion that might keep referees more interested in doing their jobs... According to the new winnings system announcement that I've read, referees get less money than the winner for the battle. So, basically, for doing twice the work, the referee gets a lesser reward than the person who gets to play. Just an opinion, but you could raise the poor referees' pay for the individual battle at least to an equal level with the winner's. Sure, they get paid periodically, but a lower reward for handling each battle might discourage those who do this job for money from taking more than one battle or completing their job.

All refs are also battlers so coupled with 3 battles at a time and reffing god knows how many battles (there's no limit), it actually balances out fairly well. About my inactivity, hello, I posted in the ABSENCE TOWER last month. I have been searching for a battle but you know what? No vacancies. I also don't like making the first post. You can ask OzAndrew, I asked him for a battle but he said no because he doesn't like the way you set this up.

So maybe you should keep your trap shut before you make pathetic little assumptions like that, sweetie. Moderation gotten to your head I think.
