    Default What Levels

When playing through the R/B/Y Game what levels should my Pokemon be around for the Gyms? Like a min. max. Thanks for your time.

    Enjoy!

Well, there is not really any required levels... But overall, all ingame battles are pretty easy. Unless you're a really crappy trainer, you can usually get away with having your Pokemon about 5-7 levels below the gym leader's Pokemon levels. However, try and train until your Pokemon are at the same level or even a couple of more levels higher than the gym leader's. That way you'll have an easier time both in the gym battle and later, with the Elite Four battles.

Assuming you have pokemon that are well type matched against the Gym Leaders (not type matched in brackets)

    Brock: 10-13 (14-16)

    Misty: 16-20 (18-22)

    Surge: 20-22 (24-26)

    Erika: 26-28 (28-32)

    Koga: 32-35 (35-40)

    Sabrina: 36-40 (38-45)

    Blaine: 40-45 (45-50)

    Giovanni: 45-50 (50-55)

Kinda self explanitary really. Elite Four should be 50-60.

Unless as FireBlast said, you have well trained pokemon with good moves, you shouldn't have any trouble at all.

I would suggest higher level pokemon for Misty, more around 22-25, simply because that Starmie of hers was always killer for my pokemon.

Not really. Like I said, it depends what you're using against her. If you have a Grass pokemon it's not only going to have SE moves, but a resistance to Bubblebeam too, making it very useful to have and a lower level is acceptable. If you're using somehting that takes normal damage from Water attacks, then maybe you are at risk. Anything weak to water shouldn't be in battle anyway. Oddish or Paras would work, both having a reistance, and an SE attack that regains HP (Leech Life and Absorb respectivly), and an attack like Stun Spore.

Also, has there been some kind of voodoo ritual I wasn't made aware of? All the topics in RBy seem to be coming back to life. And there's not a single post about Glitches in sight.
