I got a question bout card vs card.

I was wondering bout Skilldrain vs Jinzo.

When Jinzo is on the field you obviously can't activate Skill drain but what happens when yoor opponent summons Jinzo and you chain Skill Drain( to save some of your powerfull traps) to it? Will Skill Drain be disabled or will Jinzo lose his effect?

also I'm still confused bout spell counters. doe it have any effect on the game? do they counter spells or are they just counters(1, 2, 3,...)

If you activate Skill Drain then APS/Jinzo is summoned then he has no effect.

Spell counters only apply to certain cards such as Skilled Black Magician. Spell counters are similar to damage counters in Pokemon.

So uum,... What do spell counters do? I absolutely have no idea what damage counters do in pokémon.

Note: Yu-Gi-Oh is the only card game I play

A Spell Counter is basically a token like Scapegoat. However its being placed on a magic card or a creature like Breaker. The use of this token depends a lot on what is it stated on the card. For Breaker's case, it is used to destroy a magic card on your opponent's side of the field.

There are way to generate spell counters too. One way is through Apprentice Mage. Once u flip summoned this creature, you get an excess spell counter to transfer to Breaker.

    To clarify Darkyouths explanation:

Spell Counters are essentially anything you want them to be counter-wise(i.e use a coin, paper clip, whatever).

A card WILL ALWAYS tell you when to put a magic counter on a card. And a card that does not say it can have a certain number of magic counters CANNOT use them at all.

So Breaker can have a maximum of one regardless of what cards say you can put Magic Counters on other cards(unless Breakers one is used up, then it may be renewed by another card that says it can.)

so it doesn't actually counter a spell used on a card(unless stated)?

Correct. Unless the card says "Remove X Spell counters. Negate and destroy a spell targeting this monster" (X just being a variable here.) then it does not counter/negate/destroy any spells. And on its' own, it does nothing(so simply having it is usually useless.)

Also, for future reference it's Counter as in something that counts
