Bulbasaur and Squirttle

I want to choose a Charmander in my new Leaf Green, but I don't have any way to get Squirttle and Bulbasaur. When does the Poke Center open up so I can start a game, choose a starter, and trade it over to my Ruby game?

I've been told that you have to beat the E4 on one of the islands you have to get the Ruby and Sapphire plates. Once you have those you can trade w/RuSa. You can trade with other FRLG's though.

So in answer to your question: No you can't trade w/RuSa.(at least not for a while.) BUT you can trade with other FRLG.

Well.. If you have Pokémon Box you can get 'em all.

Choose a starter. Get Pokéballs and catch a new Pokémon so you have your starter and an other Pokémon.
Put it into Pokémon Box. Restart.
Do this again and you can have them all
BUT! You can't get them into your game before you've beaten the E4 and got 100 different Pokémon in your Pokédex.

I've read that you need the Ruby and Sapphire Plates before you can deposit Pokemon onto Pokemon Box just like trading with Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Colosseum. So your only way of getting all three Starters would be to trade them to another Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green game or complete the game trade them to Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Colosseum/Box then start again.

Andyizcool is correct. I can confirm that you can't put any Pokemon from FR/LG into Box before you got the Plates. I know because I tried it with my Japanese Versions and it isn't possible.
