Evolving Umbreon

I'm trying to evolve Eevee in ruby and Sapphire. I fed it vitamins, and used Exp share on it when battling the elite four. My clock read 7 p.m., but when it evolved, it evolved into Espeeon. Did i miss a step?

Night in R/S/E is from noon to midnight (12 AM - 12 PM). Day is from midnight to noon (12 PM - 12 AM).

Err... that's the wrong way around.

Eevee evolves to Espeon from Midday until Midnight, and to Umbreon from Midnight to Midday.

AM = Umbreon
PM = Espeon

Just double checked this myself - my test Eevee evolved into Espeon at (game-time) 3:15pm.
