    Default Stupid Question

Are there any item clauses in the current games or meta game? I haven't participated in quite some time so I was curious. I still remember the old Stadium item clause... I didn't know if it applied to anything like Colosseum today.

In the "Metagame", like Net Battle, RS Bot and such, there's no Item Clause.

In Colosseum and the Battle Frontier/Battle Tower, however, there is an active Item Clause.

Well, I don't really know if there are item clauses in the metagame, but there are item clauses in the games. The Battle Tower in Ruby/Sapphire forces all of your Pokémon to have different hold items. The Battle Frontier in Emerald also has the same item clause in effect, except for a few exceptions.

Battle Factory-You are battling with rental Pokémon, not your own, and they come with their own items attached, so you may end up with more than one Pokémon that are holding the same item.

Battle Pyramid-You may attach the same type of item to more than one Pokémon, but you can't use your own items. Once inside the Battle Pyramid, you will lose your item bag, and it will be replaced with a Battle Bag, so you can only use/attach items that you find while you are inside the Pyramid.

One more stupid question about clauses... does the clause for Perish Song/ Explosion/ etc. (suicide for your final victory) still count if you have another poke left to bring out?

If you have a Pokémon left, and the Perish Song/Explosion user of your opponent was the last, you'll win. You'll also win if your opponent uses Explosion with his/her last Pokémon. And the last Pokémon of either player can't use Perish Song or Destiny Bond.

How about if I use Perish Song on my opponent's last pokemon & I still have 1 pokemon left (besides the one that is in play - so a total of 2 pokemon)? Because it's not my last pokemon is it still allowed to knock out the opponent's last pokemon w/ Perish Song?

Yep, your opponent's last Pokémon can be fainted with Perish Song. As long as EITHER player has more than one Pokémon that can battle, you can use those attacks. It's when both players are down to their last Pokémon when neither Perish Song nor Destiny Bond will work. Only then will also the Selfdestruct/Explosion user lose if he/she makes the last Pokémon do the attack against the opponent's last Pokémon.
