Just a dumb question

Yay for Pokemasters Forums up and going again.

Now for my question.

I have bastardf*** here. Bastardf*** is an Eevee.

I have another eevee here, Excellence {Well, now she's a piece of assplop ><!}

I threw them together at 4 Island, and left.

Bastardf*** is on lvl 31. Excellence is on level 19

I get an egg. Yay

Hopefully This Eevee has Bite.

No. No Bite. None of the 12 eggs that yield Eevee has bite. i got a buttload of Eevee's, no Bite.

If not...I kill these Eevee's tonight and make them a stew....

As far as i can tell eevee can only learn six moves through breeding
Charm
Curse
Endure
Flail
Tickle
and Wish
I could be wrong though,other people here know more than i do so see what they say.

Eevees normally learn Bite, and for such a situation, I've read that both parents have to know Bite. For sending TMs and breeding-only moves, the father needs to know the move.

Quite correct. For a baby pokémon to hatch with a move it would normally learn by level later on, both of its parents must know the move.

Eevee learns Bite at L30.

Any particular reason you need it to learn the move earlier than that?

My guess would be to place Bite on an Espeon. He's probably going to evolve his Eevee as soon as possible instead of waiting until Level 30 so he can get everything that Espeon learns early (Confusion being the primary reason)

But no. Umbreon dosen't learn Bite under its movelist, as stated in various Pokedex's {Which I find to be irrationally stupid}
Espeon does, in fact all the other Eeveeloutions learn it at level 30.

Umbreon? Learns Confuse Ray. Annoying little P.O.S that is.
