I'm suddenly seeing the huge, gigantic flaw in the whole unadopted pokémon tournament thing... the whole 'you'll have to wait until the tournament is over if you want to legitimately adopt them' clause. Am I the only one who thinks people will be put off adopting them even further if they think they're gonna have to wait for an indeterminate time before they can actually use them? For example, if I was in Ben's situation, who has just adopted his first pokémon who just so happens to be in the tournament, I would be muchly pissed off with the organisation of this whole thing right now coz I'd have to wait until god knows when to actually be able to join in.

Don't get me wrong, the whole battle tournament is a good idea, I just realise now that it wasn't that great an idea to have it interfering in any shape way or form with the day-to-day running of the adoption centres. Face it, it's been dead enough already WITHOUT us going 'oh, sorry, you have to wait a while before you can adopt this pokémon' to further put people off.

Honestly, I didn't think the tournament would take so long, nor did I think adoptions would get a boost so soon (no pokemon had been adopted for a while by the time the tournament started). Maybe we could speed things up by hiring more refs so that more battles can be reffed at the same time, and that Andy doesn't have to ref if he doesn't want to?

The reffings are split up between me, Shonta and Andy. The problem is that some of the battlers haven't been around for a while and Andy hasn't taken the initiative to do something about it. Now, I don't want to rag on him if he's been busy with something else but he's running the tournament so I don't know why he hasn't done something about it

From the last few times I've talked to him, I take it he doesn't feel like running the tournament lately. I can't get on AIM while I'm in Finland, but maybe some of you can contact him and ask him what he wants to do, and whether he wants to go on or would like someone else to assume his role in the tournament.

Perhaps if somebody sees andy he/she can ask if he'd like somebody as a substitute... No offense meant to him, but at the rate things are going, you probably will have to wait more than 14 days.

You shouldn't have to wait much longer. The tournament will hopefully end this week. In any case, any pokemon that has already finished 4 battles should be free to take.

So, the pokemon who are now ready to meet their new trainers are:

Faye (Ponyta): female, level 12, extra TM move: Headbutt (bred-on move and level 10 TM can be chosen by the trainer).
Dynamo (Mareep): male, level 13, extra TM move: Thunderbolt (bred-on move and level 10 TM can be chosen by the trainer).
Volt Shock (Magnemite): genderless, level 11, extra TM moves: Volt Tackle, Toxic (level 10 TM can be chosen by the trainer).

And I have a Sonicboom TM which I have no use for, so I'm donating it to Volt Shock.

Their levels will be updated after their final battles. The rest are free to take. All pokemon who have reached level 10 are entitled to a free TM.
