Easy Effort locations in RuSa and FrLg

Hey everyone. I thought I'd compile a list of places for easy effort points that I've found in both the RuSa games and the FrLg games. I train for effort in both, and try to find the quickest places. Sometimes it's easy to find a place rich in a certain type of effort, and other times I struggle a bit.

I'm compiling this list to share the places where I get some easy points, and hopefully so others can help out with some other places, in order to establish a list of places for simple and fast effort-upping.

It is my hope that everyone can benefit from this. If not everyone, just some people who find it useful, maybe? Okay, on with what I know so far. I'll list the places I use to up certain stats.

(I don't have my game on me and I'm at an internet cafe that charges 10,000 Rupiah an hour, since I'm in Indonesia and not at home, so I'm sorry I don't know trainer names or route numbers I'm also a bit forgetful so I'll be missing some stuff...)


Ruby and Sapphire

Hit Points: Whismur in the cave that the boyfriend tried to dig through or something.

Attack: Triatheletes west of Mauville

Defense: A Hiker (Trent I think...?) west of the desert with a Golem, and Arons. Bad, I know.

Special Attack: Aroma Lady Rose and Guitarist Daulton

Special Defense: Tentacool and Tentacruel in the ocean

Speed: The route with the Electrike and Plusle



Fire Red and Leaf Green

Hit Points: Wigglytuff user east of Fuchsia didn't help, so I used the a-little-bit-better twins on western Three Island

Attack: Paras-user by the Cerulean Cave. Is there a place with just Goldeen and Seaking?

Defense: Two Hikers north of Lavender do the trick

Special Attack: I'm at a loss...

Special Defense: Tentacool and Tentacruel, again

Speed: Raichu user east of Fuchsia


I realize this is really incomplete and sad and ugly all at the same time. Sorry!

Hey this was in the Official Fr/Lg thread:

anyone have any suggestions on which common pokemon to train against who give good EV points on Leafgreen/Firered?

HP x1: Caterpie
Atk x1: Paras
Def x2: Kakuna/Metapod
Sp.Atk x1: Oddish/Gastly
Sp.Def x1: Tentacool
Spd x1: Pidgey

I'll try and find some Ru/Sa ones too.
