    Default Yero + Rapamon2 VS Erandi + Hero86 - Ref Chris W

Anybody? high in the clouds. If u fall, my ghastly will bring u back up but u lose 30% damage. . 1 pokemon required for each person. DQ is 1 week. We don't tell our pokemon to our opponents until we send them with attacks. The order is: Hero861st Rapamon2nd Whoever our last challenger is third and Thropp is last. Hero86 will be on the 4th challengers team, and me and Thropp will be on a team.

You can't have special rewards for the people on your team, it's unfair. If it costs one person 30% if they falll off it costs everyone 30% health. And you haven't specified how many pokemon you want to use in the fight. If it's 4 people, I suggest only 1 pokemon each, especially since you're a beginner.

All right then, so here's what we got:

    Team One
    Rapamon- Gastly
    Yero- Kabuto

    Team Two
    Hero- no choice yet
    Erandi- no choice yet

I'm assuming since Rapamon already chose his Pokemon, that means that our team will choose our Pokemon first (Gastly and Kabuto,) then you guys choose. This also means that you guys post your attacks first (of course, we need to wait for a ref before you guys post attacks.) And by the way rapamon, I didn't tell what Pokemon I was going to use because I wasn't sure what team I was going to be on; now that I'm on your team, I have to say what Pokemon I am going to use before Hero and Erandi does.

Quick question rapamon: You mentioned this battle being "high in the clouds," but then you mentioned the possibility of falling off something... I'm assuming this means that there is a floating platform that we are fighting on. However, I don't know what the floor is made of (cement, plastic, dirt, metal...) and it would be nice to know how big the platform is also.

Its a platform of dirt cut out of the dirt by digglet and staying in the air by my ghastly's friends. Its about the size of a football field. And don't complain, but yes i might tell ghastly to tell its friends to drop the area and my opponents might take damage because its helping your teamates, not special rewards. We don't sit and watch our teamates die, we help.

If its going to be the size of a football field, that's going to be really HUGE. I honestly doubt anyone is going to fall off of that. And if its being maintained by Gastly's friends, you can't go tell them to drop the entire arena; it wouldn't be fair, since it makes one side stronger than the other. Sure, we don't let a teammate get beaten down to oblivion, but there are circumstances where one Pokemon is helpless while the other gets tossed around brutally.

I'll ref this. However if you don't mind, I'll make a slight modification: If a Pokemon falls off, they'll take 10% of damage and a Lakitu will appear and rescue them. Hero86 and Endari, please call out your Pokemon.

Erandi looks upon the field, then at the ground, FAR below him. His already green face begins to turn a shade of purple as his stomach quells up in defiance to his gravity. Heights are usually okay, but THIS is ridiculous...
Turning, he saw two blurs in the distance: A ghastly and a Kabuto. A ghost and a ground? he thought. Well, well, well...
His insides began to strengthen as his plan began to unfold. Grasping a Pokeball from his belt, he hurled it onto the field.

"Go, Delibird!" he shouted, and the red and white Pokemon appeared on the scene. Delibird looked around for a moment, taking in his surroundings. It appeared to like being so high up in the air (being a bird), and for a moment seemed almost ready to go right into the fight, for as soon as it saw it's contenders, it buffed itself up and walked steadily forward.
"Delibird!" Erandi shouted, "Hold on a minute! You gotta wait till your teammate comes out and the ref says go!" Delibird looked back on his master with confusion, then sat down in annoyance. Erandi looked to his right, to Hero. "Well? What'll it be?" he asked.

If you think about it, dropping the arena is NOT helping me. Kabuto isn't a flyer. And yeah, I gotta agree with Chris on this one; having my opponents randomly taking damage whenever I feel like it is waaaay wrong. How would you like it if someone challenged you and said:

"Oh yeah, by the way, before we start, let me mention a special rule. I can drop rocks on your Pokemon whenever I feel like it, and you're Pokemon will take 10% damage (which, by the way, that damage is about equivalent to a Solar Beam attack directly hitting a Ground type Pokemon.) You, however, are not allowed to do this, only me. And I will say it again; I can do this whenever I want. How am I justifying this? It's to help my partner, I swear!"

Besides, I don't want to have an unfair advantage in the game; if we win, I don't want my opponents to say, "You only won because that Rapamon guy dealt 40% damage just by saying 'Haha your Pokemon dropped, take 10% damage'! four times, and we weren't allowed to do it!"

Understand the problems that would arise?

Please understand that I'm not poking fun or mocking you, I'm just trying to explain why Chris and Razor Leaf both said no, you can't do that.

Fine whatever I won't but it would help you because ghastly could keep you up. And actully, i might do it because ghastly can float, delibird can fly, ghastly can keep you up, and hero86 might use his Psyduck that knows Psycic, the attack than can levitate pokemon. And if not, dlibird can hold Hero86 pokemon.

Finally we can start! Pyduck use confusion on Kubuto. Then levitate yourself with Psycic and throw yourself at ghastly. Finally use Curse.

Ok. Use Psywave to wipe away that confusion. Then, ghastly, I want you to use hypnosys on The delibird. Finally, Use Psycic to try to send Delibird off the edge(he should be light as a feather while he's slleping)

Wait...I thought I was supposed to post attacks before rappaman?............the newb is confused............

    "Go!" shouts the ref.
"All right now, Delibird! You can attack!" Shouts Erandi. A normal and phychic? This should be good for us. "Good selection, buddy!" he calls across the floor to Hero, and waves to show his support.

    Turning, he sees...oh man...
"Delibird! I haven't even given you a command yet!"
Delibird had heard the call of the ref, and hastily got up, and, not waiting for his incompetent master, charged his opponents, not caring which one to hit. (That's body slam, but never mind...)
"Delibird!" Erandi bellowed, and it stopped in it's tracks. Annoyed, it turned it's head. "You idiot!" He scolded his Pokemon, and Delibird's annoyance turned to anger. Ignoring the screams of his master, Delibird took to the ground, and fell asleep. (Rest)

"What???" Erandi was in a fit of rage now. "You little...fine! Get blown up! See if I care!" Delibird, already asleep, slowly began to whistle and hoot in his dreams, imagining himself back at home in Antarctica...

    Attacks:
Nothing! He is too distracted by Erandi.
    Rest (Dont ask...)
Sleep Talk (The only viable move he pulls off!)

Yo, partner in crime. The point of BOTH of us picking our Pokemon first is that they get to see what Pokemon we are using, so they get to choose Pokemon that give them a type advantage (notice they both have Water and Psychic attacks to use against our Ground and Ghost types.) However, our advantage is that they BOTH attack us first; this way they get to attack as a team, and we can defend as a team, responding to their attacks.

Since you've posted your attacks before Erandi, this means that Erandi will get to read your attacks and respond to them, meaning that the whole "we get to respond to their attacks" thing has been rendered completely useless. In short terms, by posting your attacks before Erandi, you have eliminated our beginning of game advantage and given both advantages to our opponents.

And as far as the stage-dropping thing goes; let me try to explain it differently. Each Pokemon gets three attacks. By saying, "I can do 10% damage to your Pokemon any time I want" is like giving your Pokemon a fourth attack to use whenever you want. And that's not even a weak fourth attack; we're talking about an attack that 1) cannot be stopped or prevented in any way, and 2) deals as much damage as a dead-on Solar Beam to Sandshrew. That's just not cool.

Finally, the whole "gastly could keep you up... Psyduck knows Psychic to levitate himself" thing- both of those would require an attack (psychic,) and both would cause fatigue. So, if Psyduck was at like 98% fatigue (pretty much wasted away,) and your Gastly was at maybe 80%, dropping the field would cause Psyduck to faint because of fatigue. I understand that yes, it is indeed harming both teams, but also remember that Kabuto is being levitated, meanwhile Delibird is flying (also causing fatigue,) so BOTH Pokemon on our opponents side is causing fatigue while only one Pokemon on our side is doing any work. Plus, what if your Gastly had like 1% health left when he had 80% fatigue, and Psyduck had like 20% health left with 98% fatigue? It is very possible that Psyduck could still win, but because YOU decided, "hey, I feel like making everyone take fatigue damage," Psyduck lost. That's just not fair.

See? Having the stage drop whenever you feel like it just isn't fair ever, unless you put in a time limit, like, "The stage drops every three turns." That way we are all prepared for it. However, let me point out that you never mentioned anything about the stage dropping until after I joined; I never would have joined (considering I had Kabuto) had I known that the stage was gonna drop randomly. You shouldn't add rules after someone else has agreed to battle. Besides, if everyone can stay up, why bother dropping the field at all?

    Okay, Shelly, let's start defensive.

Begin using Double Team on yourself, then give 25% of your health to make a Substitute. Finish it off with another Double Team.

Dan, I'm reffing this battle. I already stated this in my post.

And Rapamon, you can't order who goes first and last for the next round. That's my duty as ref. Originally, for the first round, I would have intended it for Hero86 and Erandi to post their attacks first since they sent out their Pokemon last, then have Yero and Rapamon post their attacks after. No matter, since we'll work with what we got.

I'll post the battle intro and reffing shortly.

    Before the battle...

~Four of our newest members of the TPMASBL make their way to lofty heights as our next battle takes place high in the clouds that float lazily underneath the balmy sun. The field itself is quite huge, roughly the size of an entire football field, made of much hard packed dirt made by several Diglett. Due to its enormous volume, its suprising that how several Gastly and Haunter are capable of holding it up without showing much strain. The initator of the battle, Rapamon2, as well as his ally Yero Thropp release a Gastly and Kabuto respectively. On the other side, their opponents Hero86 and Erandi Brazul call out a Psyduck and Delibird. With this double Pokemon battle set, each side and Pokemon are ready to rock! Let's do this then!~

    LET'S ROCK!

~With our combantants ready, each of them psyche themselves for the first volley of attacks. Psyduck kicks things off my delievering a mental infraction into the prehistoric mind of Kabuto, dealing solid damage. The ghost Pokemon retailiates with a wave of psychokinetic energy. With no attack to aim it at, she throws the attack upon Psyduck, hitting for medium damage. In the far off distance, Delibird bides his time while Kabuto shrugs off the fresh blow, conjuring five images in its likeness.

Gastly continues the tempo by entrancing Delibird into a deep sleep as she stares into his eyes. The icy bird first begins to get drowsy, then finally falls asleep. Psyduck wraps herself with Psychic energy and tosses into Gastly. The water Pokemon goes right through the ghost, falling out through the other side of the Gastly as that tactic had no effect. Kabuto still fortifies itself by forging a body double using its lifeforce.

With no opposition upon her, Gastly is free to wrap Delibird with psycokinetic energy, lift him up, and throw him off the arena. Unfortunately for the Gastly, the distance to the edge of the battlefield was quite long and it put much a strain on her ghostly body. As a result, the Delibird was sent across to the very edge of the floating field rather than off of it. The impact of the blow was so strong, that it brought the Delibird back to his senses. Psyduck then focuses itself into a slow trance, raising its physical offensive and defensive power at the cost of her speed. Kabuto forms five more images, bringing up a grand total of 11 Kabutos. Oh my! O_o; Delibird, now being fully awake after being tossed across the field, was unable to do anything for the rest of the round.~

All right everyone. I've decided to pull off attack order by having Team 1 going first, then Team 2 going after. Order will reverse in next round.

I decided to pull this attack order off since it was the most fair in my opinion, since Yero and Rapamon sent out their Pokemon first. Hero86 and Erandi was supposed to attack first since they got their Pokemon out second, and it was supposed to work in this vein.

So I just continued on with what the attack should be. ^_~

    EDIT: Corrected an attack mistake.

Keep it up, Kabuto. Get nice and strong before attacking.

Use Metal Sound twice on Psyduck, then hit it with Giga Drain.

Metal Sound~~Metal Sound~~Giga Drain (All on Psyduck)

Rapamon, Kabuto needs to grab Psyduck with it's pincers in order to use Giga Drain. If there is anything you can do to distract Psyduck, or perhaps prevent him from stopping my attack, by all means please do so.

Okay. Ghastly use Psycic(my favorate move in ASB) to bring Psyduck right to Kubuto. Then use Psywave to whipe away any blocks, and if there are none, to attack. Finally scare delibird and try to make him trip over Psyduck.

Hmmm...Seems like another mistake to me.

Hero86, your Pokemon is Psyduck (F), not Gastly (F).

Rapamon2, you may continue your attack phase.

Rapamon, I'm imposing my 3-day warning period now. Failure to reply to this thread on Thursday, October 20, will result in your DQ.

    Default Battle End: Yero + Rapamon2 VS Erandi + Hero86 - Ref Chris W

    NOTICE!

Sorry for the lateness everyone, but I have recently gotten notice from both Chris 2.0 and Yero Thropp that Rapamon2 and Hero86 are indeed the same person.

As a result of them being both on opposing sides, I am unable to pick out a clear winner from this bout. Furthermore, I am also unable to continue this matchup, since a round has already progressed with all four players inputting commands. Finally, the person that runs Rapamon2/Hero86 has an IP ban as a result of these dual identities.

At the current moment, there are no point awards. However, should it be necessary this identity swapping was an act of violation of TPM and ASB rules, I may be able to fork out something.

Sorry Yero and Erandi. =( I never expected something like this to happen either, but if its any consolation, I'll set up a new battle arena for you two in a seperate thread if you guys agree.

Okay, Yero is my bro, and we've agreed to do a battle elsewhere.

*poke* And I just want to mention that I didn't post any attacks the second round...I was being good and waiting for Rapamon to post...*innocent smile while strumming fingers...*
