PART FOUR: The Plant Problem

At William's mansion Alex's parents were forcing information out of a clown.


"Where is my son?"


"Do you know Venom?"


"I don't know anything!" the clown cried.


"Your right," Alex's mother said. "You don't know anything."


"Come on," William said. "I am the one you should be questioning. After all I was with Alex at the time."


"What were you doing in the zoo at midnight?" Alex's mother asked. William giggled nervously.

Meanwhile Alex was in the colonial town called Town. The name of the town was Town. Town was a town.


Then Death and her newest victim, Dan Bickford, ran up to him.


"HI," Death said. "This is my second favorite person, do you remember him?"


"Yes." Alex said. "Aren't you Dan Bickford?"


"Yes." Dan said.


"I am Alex Wazzle." Alex introduced himself.


"I gotta go." Dan said and tried escaping Death's hands.


"Ok," Death said and let go. "The Porti-Potty is right over there." she pointed. "That is unless you wan to go in a bucket."


"No!" Dan shouted and started running. "I gotta go get flowers for my girlfriend!"


Death started blowing steam out of her nose but then calmed down. "Now I can be with my favorite person, to Make Out Beach!" she shouted and pulled Alex through the crowd.


They stopped at an abandoned beach. A sign said 'CLOSED FOREVER'. Death moaned and then dragged Alex into the town square so she could make out with him near the fountain.


Then suddenly a man stopped them. He was wearing penny loafers, a tie, Knickerbockers, and a shirt that seemed to come out of a 1700's shopping magazine if they existed. He had muscular arms, un-brushed hair, and was covered with dirt and mold from head to toe. He looked a lot like the main villain from "Attack of the Colonial Zombies".


"Making Out next to a fountain to somebody you barely know is no fun." the man said.


"I know." Alex mumbled.


"So head on over to the most popular place in town." he said. He suddenly grabbed onto Alex and Death and started dragging them through town. His grip was twice as hard as Death's and his hand was moldy. When he ran little specks of dirt flew off him and into Alex and Death's eyes.


He stopped in front of a greenhouse with two attachment buildings. The sign said "Town Greenhouse" He dragged them in. It was very crowded. There was a stage in the middle and lots of people were seated there. The best description for the rest of the green house would be a jungle. It even had its own animals and a river.


A beautiful woman was on the platform in a kimono.


"You see this is a green house/ duel arena/ restaurant and that is Meg." the man explained. "She is the best duelist/ gardener/ chef in this place."


"What's your name?" Death asked.


"Hank." the man answered.


"She is not the best duelist here." a voice said. That voice belonged to a teenager. The girl was also wearing a kimono and also had an excessive amount of jewelry on. "My name is Diane Howard and I am the best duelist here."


"Diane Howard?" Death mumbled. "I think I know who this girl is."


"Hey young gal!" Hank shouted. "Look at Alex."


Death looked at the stage. Meg was putting on her makeup and Alex was talking to her.


"Get off the stage," Meg said. "My show starts in a minute."


"Only if you kiss me." Alex said. Meg shoved him off the stage.


"Well shes rude." Alex mumbled. He walked away and Death followed.

LUNCH TIME

Alex and Death went to the Town Greenhouse restaurant. They had a vegetarian meal that had a lot of broccoli. "Ah, my favorite food." Alex said.


"What?" Death asked.


"Broccoli." Alex said.


"Sushi is much better." Death sid. "Veggies make me puke."


"Broccoli is way better!" Alex shouted. "You actually like seaweed."


"Broccoli is disgusting!" Death shouted. Soon the teenagers were having a fierce mashed potato flinging contest. They were then kicked out of the resteraunt.



Alex went to Ye Olde General Store while Death went to the library. She looked up Diane Howard. ' The daughter of Bandit Keith Howard. She agrees with is ways in every way except one. When Keith tried opening a factory that he would have to cut down a whole forest to make she started a Plants Rights gang and closed the factory.'


She ran to the greenhouse. Alex, Hank, and Meg were tied up by giant Venus fly traps. Diane stood there laughing evilly.



"Diane you are going down!" Death shouted.


"What!?" Diane shouted. "How did you find out?"


"I figured Bandit Keith's daughter would want revenge on Pegusus."


"Well since we both have one point and the losers are kicked off the island we will solve this by dueling. I win, you leave so I continue my revenge, you win and I am kicked off the island."


"Fine by me." Death said and turned on her Duel Disk, Diane did the same. Their lifepoint meters rose to 8000.


"Lets duel!" the two shouted and drew five cards.


"I play Mystic Tomato in defence mode." Diane announced. A fiendish veggie appeared (1400/1100).


"I summon Regenerating Mummy!" Death shouted. A bloody mummy missing several limbs appeared (1800/1500).


"Mummy's curse attack that vicious veggie!" Death commanded. Her mummy's gauze wrapped around the tomato and made it splat into tomato juice. Out of the juice rose a four legged, four eyed, mutated bush (600/1300).


"From my tomato's juice rises a dark monster with low attack- my Bio Plant!" Diane smiled. "I sacrivice it to summon Fairy King Truesdale!"


A man wearing white robes and a funky green thing around his neck appeared (2200/1500)-(2700/2000)



"You see," Diane said. "Truesdale increases the attack and defence of all my plants by 500!, now I activate Banner of Courage."


A banner appeared on Diane's feild. "You see this card increases all my monsters attack by 200."


"Now destroy her mummy with Chloroblast!" Diane commanded. Tuesdale raised his staff. He fired a green beam of energy at Death's mummy. Death's lifepoints fell to 6900.


"I can never win when her cards get a 700 point boost." Death thought. "I play Pyramid Turtle in defence and I set a card face down."


A turtle with a pyramid on its back appeared (1200/1500).


"I activate Forest to further increase my flower power and now I summon Vampire Orchis." Diane announced.


An evil tree appeared (1700/1000)-(2600/1700)


"Plant Poison strike!" Diane hollered. The tree spit out poison that killed the turtle. A Skull Servent (300/200) appeared in its place.


"Chloroblast!" Truesdale tried attacking Skull Servent.


"Drain Sheild!" Death shouted. She absorbed the blast and her lifepoints rose to 10000.


"I now use Call For Family," Death said. "At the cost of 1000 lifepoints I can summon two more servents."


"I play Des Dendle and equip it to my orchis." Diane announced.


"Wait a second!" Meg shouted. "Des Dendle is a monster."


"Hey Meg." Alex said. "Its called a union monster,"


"It can be used as an equip." Hank finished.


"Now attack!" she commanded. The two plants destroyed two Servents. A creature that seemed to come out of Little Shop of Horrors appeared (800/800)-(1700/1500). "That new card is a vicious plant token, it is summoned when orchis, while being equiped by Des Dendle destroys a monster, now use Chloroplast Blast!"


The token obliderated the last servent.


"With a 900 point boost Death is doomed!" Meg stated the obvious.


"Oh yeah," Death drew. "I play King of the Skull Servents!" Death announced. A more powerful looking Skull Servent appeared (3000/0). "This cards attack is 1000 for each servent and king in my graveyard however I must eliminate a servent in my graveyard from play when he dies."


"Fool!" Diane laughed. "Next turn Truesdale will blow it away."


"Your the fool Diane!" Death shouted. "Use skull smash to destroy Truesdale!"


Diane's lifepoints fell to 7900.


"How did she do that?" Hank, Diane, Meg, and Alex asked.


"Banner of Courage only works on your turn," Death smirked. "Now it will be over soon. To end my turn I use Pot of Greed."


"I play a card in defence and shift my other cards into defence." Death announced.


"I play the ritual card Revival of Dokurider to summon Dukurider!" Death announced. An evil biker riding a skull-like motorcycle appeared (1900/1850). "Attack the token and Orchis!" Her creatures destroyed Diane's.


"I use Monster Reborn to re-summon Truesdale and I summon Wodan the Resident of the Forest, it gains 100 attack for each plant on my side of the feild."


A pink warrior appeared (1300/1100).


"Now I flip Rigras Leever, when its flipped we each discard a card from our hand," A wooden creature with a sythe appeared (1600/100)-(2500/800). "Now I use Card of Sanctity so we both draw 'till we have six cards in our hands."


"Truesdale use Chloroblast on her king, Rigras use super sythe on Dokurider, now Wodan attack directly with your wooden sword!" Diane commanded. Death's lifepoints stood at 7000.


"I summon another king to attack Truesdale." Death announced. Diane's lifepoints stood at 7800.


"I play another Orchis and I'll give it a black pendant." Diane said. Another Vampire Orhis with a pendant on it appeared. (1700/1000)-(2600/1700).


"Rigras use super sythe on the king!" Diane commanded. Rigras slashed at King of the Skull Servents but it did not even flinch. The king beheaded Rigras. Diane's lifepoints fell to 6800.


"Yes!" Meg shouted. "Diane is already losing it."


"Nope," Diane smiled. "The card that kills Rigras loses 500 points making it easy prey for my Vampire Orchis."


The terrible tree blew apart the king. Death's lifepoints fell to 6900.


Death was sweating. "I play Pyramid Turtle in defence."


"I play Woodland Sprite and I'l give it a Black Pendant." Diane announced.


A funky little plant boy appeared (900/400)-(1800/1100). "Now I use its ability to offer an equip card on it to do 500 damage to you and since my pendant does 500 damage when its destroyed so you have 5900 lifepoints left."


"Now I attack with my my Vampire Orchis!" Diane ordered. The orchis destroyed the turtle and another king appeared. "What!?" Diane shouted.


"King of the Skull Servents has 0 defence so it is summonable by the turtle." Death laughed. "Now I summon another Rgenerating mummy."


"And now I use Atanomous Action Unit to reveive Truesdale!, triple attack!" Diane's lifepoints fell to 2100.


"I surrender." Diane announced.


"Yay!" Meg, Hank, and Alex shouted.


"But I have to give you one last gift before my departure." she said and started walking away. She threw a card at Death. Death put it in her Duel Disk. Her Duel point meter went up to two. But then suddenly vines wrapped around Death's feat. A huge Venus Flytrap attacked her.


Then Dan ran in armed with gardening supplies. He killed all the evil plants.


"Thank you." the four victims said.


"I will dedicate my life to protecting you from now on." Dan said to Death.


"What about your girlfriend?" Death asked.


"She dumped me for giving her a man eating flower." Dan explained. Death kissed him on the cheek. Dan went into dreamland imagining them making out on a hill. Death slapped him.


"Do not get any ideas." she said.
