My coin toss determines that Dark Sage sends out first, and TBA attacks first.

A ref is needed. But if, after a few days, you still haven't got one, I will step in.

Okay, I will use Sedgewick, my male shiny Koffing, and Tap-Tap the Red Nose, my male Diglett.

Sedgewick, start things off by calling up a rainstorm with Rain Dance. Next, attack Lily with a couple of Thunders. However, if Sunny Day is used, use Flamethrower instead.

Rain Dance ~ Thunder/Flamethrower x2 (Lily)

Tap-Tap, let's keep the tempo up. Start things off with Earthquake! Next, see if you can blind them a little with Mud Slap. Finally, fire off a Sludge Bomb at Blast.

Use Protect to absorb the damage from the Earthquake.

In The Missing Link stadium, the crowd roared as one of the later matches of the first round were taking place. Dark Sage was a relatively new member to ASB, but it did not affect his chances whatsoever. TBA, however, had been in the ASB system for some time. Old and New alike met together for what would promise to be an impressive match.

BEGIN!

It happened so fast. The floating ball of gas, Sedgewick, gave a cry as a sudden downpour flooded the arena. The crowd booed and hissed as bullets of rain pelted down heavily upon the arena. Soon it became damp. Tap-Tap then gave a happy cry as he released an amazing tremor on the arena. A rumbling, shaking boom erupted around, but both Lily and Blast were protecting from the attack, grinning cheekily.

From Sedgewick, a crackling blast issued, electricity speeding towards Lily and shocking her hard. The little Lily pad gave a surprised cry as Tap-Tap slapped handfuls of soggy mud into Lily and Blast's faces. Not content with that, Lilly used her abilities to bring the sun out. Blast fired a jet of flame upwards and scorched Sedgewick.

Not pleased, Sedgewick fired a similar Flamethrower down at Lily, whose mixed type affirmation made it difficult to tell whether the attack dealt effective damage or not. Nevertheless, Tap-Tap fired a series of exploding sludge pellets at Blast, hitting him in the face and hurting him badly. Lily charged her energy up, aided by the sun, and fired a beam of solar energy right into Tap-Tap. Blast finished by firing a jet of flame into Tap-Tap, too.

The first round came to a close, with each party already taking a lot of damage. The crowd were hungry for more as Dark Sage and TBA stared at each other.

Okay, Sedgewick! This'll be easy! First, start off with a Shock Wave straight to Blaze. Next, aim a Thunder Lily's way. Then, if they Protect against Earthquake, just chill, if they don't, nail Blaze with a Sludge Bomb.

BEGIN!

After the first round, the crowd were hungry for more, the trainers were hungry for victory and the Pokemon were hungry for revenge. Lily gave a chirp and began to summon up the rain again. For the second time in two rounds, the crowd booed and shouted at Dark Sage for his choice of weather. He carried on, undeterred, as Blast began to charge up metallic energy in his claws. Racing forward, he raked them into Tap-Tap's side. Blast was happy with his success, but gave a cry of pain as a jolting electric blast smashed into him. Sedgewick gave an ugly grin. Tap-Tap then released a light tremor across the arena, shaking everyone up somewhat.

Lily, thanking the heavens for the rain, began to summon up a deadly tidal wave of sea spray. However, with no clear bodies of water in sight, Lily had to rely on the number of sloppy puddles on the arena. They all gathered, smashing into both of TBA's team and dealing little damage.

Tap-Tap watched as the opponent Blast opened his mouth wide. A streaming barrel of greening flames wheeshed through the air and engulfed him, the little whack-a-mole whimpering as he was dealt serious damage. Sedgewick gave a hearty roar as a loud, flashing bolt of thunder smashed down onto Lily. Tap-Tap also popped undrerground and re-appeared right by the lilypad, smacking it with his head.

Both Lily and Blaze knew something was going to happen. Was it the psychic blood? I really don't know. Either way, both brought up fatigue-inducing protect shields which surrounded them and prevented them from harm. Sedgewick simply chilled, staring at his fans and smiling. Tap-Tap blasted an earthquake out, but it dealt no damage. Except to the arena. From a corner, Hank the Janitor wept salty tears as his pride and joy was ripped apart by the earthquake.

~What? You're saying the tournament match started already? And its the third round too? But you know I had...aww darn. Might as well go along. =X

Tap-Tap starts again by forcefully throwing large gobs of dirt and soil at both his opponents, made mucky thanks to the ongoing downpour. They land upon both Lily and Blast, covering them in both in mess. Blast cries out to the heavens, calling for sunshine. The rain, after some time, finally stops, returing the weather back to its temperate state. Lily isn't nearly as lucky as the mud deters her accuracy somewhat. Her grass-like feelers still manage to latch on to Tap-Tap somewhat and leech out some life energy. Sedgewick fires a powerful cone of electrical energy upon the Lotad, taking off a good chunk of life and leaving her with less life than before. The rain prior ends up cleaning off the mess from Blaze and Lily fortunately.

The Diglett squeaks again, as the small Pokemon unleases a large shockwave across the field again, sweeping down upon Lily and Blast. Simultaneously, Sedgewick fires off a sizzling orb of noxious wastes upon the Charmander as well. Blast sets up a force field in time, nulling both attacks. Lily isn't nearly as lucky as she is helplessly tossed and thrown all over the field, bruised all the way. However, she uses her momentum in mid-air to land upon Tap-Tap and drain out needed life energies from the Pokemon. The Earthquake totally ruins the landscape now, as the once smooth and compact land is now full of jagged rocks and vicious staglamites.

Done for now, Lily sits nearby a rock formation, trying to regain her lost energy. Tap-Tap tosses a vile acidic subtance upon Charmander, hitting for good damage as it burns on his skin. The fire lizard delievers a powerful kanji of flames on Sedgewick the Koffing, roasting the Poison Pokemon as well as knocking him back. Sedgewick retaillates with his own stream of flames - only except he aims it at Blaze's vunerable partner Lily as she is roasted up.

Aye, poor Hank the Janitor. Wonder how he'll clean up this mess now?~

~Blaze delievers a heavy stream of flames led by an enormous flame kanji while Lily charges up solar energy into a concentrated beam. Tap-Tap burrows underground to avoid the attack to come while the flame kanji crashes into Sedgewick. For a moment, the fire attack was a direct hit - only to end up as a complete miss. Sedgewick was protected by a force field, negating the attack fully.

Tap-Tap began chucking rocks and boulders of various sizes at Lily's direction, most missing due to Tap-Tap's akward positioning against Lily. Lily retailliated by firing her charged beam. Since Tap-Tap wasn't in clear view, she aimed the beam directly at Tap-Tap's hole, causing it to cave in onto the poor earth mole. Blaze and Sedgewick threw out a stream of flames and a bolt of lightning at each other respectively, both colliding and negating each other.

Tap-Tap was trapped underneath several piles of rocks and boulders. He desperately tried to throw out the rocks surrounding him to free himself, but it was just too much for the Diglett. At a far end, Blaze stood by, recovering his wind, as well as becoming victim to another acidic blob of poison from Sedgewick, eating through his body further. Lily ambled herself throughout the coarse arena and towards the rocky patch of land where Tap-Tap was buried. She threw her shoots of grass into the ground trying to grasp onto the Diglett's monster. Due to the heavy amounts of rock and soil blocking the two Pokemon, her attack ended up being jammed.

Everyone at The Missing Link stadium begin to glare in anticipation and attention as this match up begins to draw to a close. Will TheBlueAvenger rbe victorious? Or will Dark Sage pull over and reign supreme?~

Notes:
-The weather isn't exactly all that sunny. I interpeted the Sunny Day as prior as negating the rain from last round, not exactly replacing it. Therefore, Solarbeam ended up being a two-turn move and the first Giga Drain got pushed.
-When Tap-Tap used Rock Slide the first time, the rocks he threw had akward accuracy since not only he couldn't see Lily, but the akward positioning between the two (the two were on differing elevations) made it impossible for the attack to deal solid damage.
-When Lily threw out her Solarbeam, since she knew Tap-Tap was underground, she shot it at the hole instead of him directly. With such a powerful move, she was sucessfully able to cave the mole in. However, this also meant that their attacks at each other were ineffective due to the cave-in.

Okay, Tap-Tap, I want you to Dig out of that hole as fast as you can. However, if, while in the hole, you feel the makings of an Earthquake, Protect yourself. Once you get out, try a powerful Fissure in Lily's general direction, if you can.

Sedgewick, let's make this round count. I want you to spew Sludge Bombs all over your foes. Try Blaze first, then Lily, and then Blaze again.

With the match down to the wire, everyone in the arena began to stare in apprehension of what's yet to come, each with the same thought running their mind - who will leave and who will go on to the latter rounds of the tournament?

Sedgewick the Koffing shot another blob of acidic wastes at Blaze the Charmander in hopes to hit the mark. However, with a crimson glow, Blaze shoots out a brutal ray of hyperatomic flames upon Sedgewick. The ray rips right through the impotent Sludge Bomb and lands a direct hit on the Poison Pokemon, dealing critical damage as well as leaving a white-hot burn on the forehead of Sedgewick. Meanwhile with a sudden pop, Tap-Tap the Diglett plows through the structures blocking his hole and surfaces on level with the other three combantants. Lily was ready as she delievered a powerful ice storm upon Sedgewick and Tap-Tap, hitting them both for good damage.

Now it was Tap-Tap's turn to unleash his full potential. The Diglett cried out his name, and started to create a slow, yet annihilative earth surge across the entire field towards the miniscule Lotad. The surge totally uproots the entire field as its being ripped apart due to the surge. Sedgewick shot out another acidic glob at Lily to pile on the assult, although he was aching due to his fresh burns. Blaze, heaving as a result of the hellacious endeavor he pulled off earlier, shot out more hyperatomic power at the Koffing to blast off more health. Unfortunately, the resulting shot was very much weaker compared to last time. Despite that, it did its job and dealt good damage. Lily shot out another ice storm in hopes of retalliation at Sedgewick and Tap-Tap, yet she still fell victim to the acid glob and even more so to the Fissure. Lily hastily set up a force field to nullify the blow, yet due to being executed in such a rapid amount of time after her Blizzard, it failed to stop the brunt of the attack. She suffered significantly due to the various puncture wounds, tremors, and entrapment on her Pokemon. The Fissure mercifully ended as Lily was pinned between rocks.

Tap-Tap the Diglett too shows signs of profuse energy loss and times out for the end of the round. Blaze coughs up just one more time, struggling to muster up as much flames as possible from his body. He just manages to flare out a meager strip of thin flames, only singeing instead of engulfing Tap-Tap. Sedgewick spits acid upon Blaze, damaging the Charmander further.

Out of the distance, the whistle blows as time finally runs out. The entire stadium fell silent, as each of the spectators hush, the jukebox stops, and even the combatants themselves were staring at the enormous plasma screen hanging overhead with the final results.~
