Well, I wouldn't mind battling you. =) Haven't done anything with Pokemon for years.. almost forgot everything..
..almost. =P
Well, if I am allowed, I shall choose my male Poliwag, Leeroy. ;x
Okay this'll be classic. Since I never got to finish my last battle I'm gonna finish it!
Battle's a 2-on-2.
I choose first, you attack first.

A small open field surrounded by mountains. Once, a sacred, religious place, there is and altar in the center. There are also stone figures everywhere. It sort of reminds you of Stonehenge in England. Almost...
And I shall choose... Forte, my male Larvitar...

woot, thank you, Razor. =) Now, from what I understand I get to post my 3 attacks now that we have a ref, correct? No problem.

Alright, Leeroy, let's do this! Larvitars aren't too tough.. well, at least I don't think they are.. I mean, they are some small dinosaur-looking thing, and you are techinically some kind of pre-frog--
"Poli!"
Freakin'.. thanks, Leeroy. Anyway, let's see how well dino-boy works under pressure, shall we? First, rush the Larvitar and, as you're running, perform a Double Team attack, making (X) copies of yourself, all running for the Larvitar. Next, while you are running, fire off a nice Bubblebeam attack straight at the dino-boy. Finally, if you manage to get close enough to Larvitar, fire off an Ice Beam at the ground around his feet (try to hit his body if you can!) to stop him in his tracks.
Double Team~Bubblebeam~Ice Beam
edit: haha.. took me a whole minute to realize "modify" was "edit"... ;x
Yes! Quickness! Ha ha! Thanks for accepting the challenge Stegy and thanks for reffing Razor. Much appreciated!
Okay...Let's start this off right...I wanna start of with a good Earthquake. That'll shake him up a bit. Then, to make it interesting, we'll also use Double Team. Finish the set off with Dig. Let's go, Forte!

Welcome to another exciting ASB Battle, where newcomer Stegyman is up against regular battler Bamm. Both battlers arrive at the arena, the ASB Totally not Stone Henge. The Druids have been flushed out, and the sacrificial virgin girl has been taken back to her parents. The stone monuments built around the central circular dais have been polished and de-lichened ready for the fight. A two on two battle with only one pokemon per battler on field at any time, it's sure to be an exciting match. Bamm begins, calling out a young Larvitar by the name of Forte, to which Stegyman retaliates with Leeroy, a freshly hatched Poliwag. Commands are set, and the battle begins.
* Round One Begins *
Leeroy is first off the mark, flashing white for a few moments, before two perfectly identical Poliwag clones sit beside him. The three move around, until it becomes impossible to tell which is the real pokemon. Assured of his superior evasion skills, the tadpole pokemon is stricken with fury and horror when a seismic wave flicks him into the air and instantly destroys both freshly made clones. Forte has successfully started a small Earthquake, not only getting in the first hit of the battle, but also clearing out any distractions.
Crashing back to the ground enraged, Leeroy glances quickly at the stone structures, noting how they are still standing firmly. He looks back at his opponent and is shocked to see that the small rock pokemon has not only copied him by making clones, but all three are pulling faces. Leeroy narrows his eyes and blows a sudden and forceful blast of wet soapy bubbles towards one of them. Unluckily for him, the bubbles pop against the clone, which in turn pops and disappears.
Forte grins, and begins to dig. An oversight on his part perhaps, as while his clone mimics him, it can't actually dig into the grass and dirt. Forte grumbles, and starts to dig quicker now that his opponent knows where he is. As the hole gets deeper, a chill passes over the Larvitar's head, followed immediately after by a freezing beam of energy that slams into the spike on his head. Leeroy jumps with joy at a clean shot, but Forte is less than happy with a frost covered horn, that's starting to give him brain freeze causing him to loose the thought keeping his clone intact.

Stegyman - I know you meant well, but in future don't Edit your post that has your attacks in, especially not after your opponent has posted. I didn't tell you before hand since I'd already written your attacks down and they hadn't changed. Please remember this in the future.
[color=green]Ahh...My turn to go first. I'll finish up with dig, but after use Pursuit and Frustration.[/c]
Yeah, I'm not _exactly_sure what's going on, so.. I'll just edit this later when I can figure this out. Oh, and thank you, Razor. I just edited my post to make my attacks prettier (plus I forgot to make Bubblebeam bold.. I'm weird like that ;x).
Edit: woot, let's do this. ;x
Okay, Poliwag, now is our time to take a healthy lead! If you see dino-boy shoot out of his hole and charge at you (the Pursuit attack) use a quick Protect to, well, protect yourself. Next, fire off a Bubblebeam at Larvitar's face; that should slow him done a bit! Finally, finish up with a Double Team--the evasion could help later on. However, if the dinosaur doesn't come up out of his hole (and, for some reason, has to stay down there three rounds), fire off one Hydro Pump into the hole, use an Ice Beam to hit Larvitar/seal the hole, and finish with a Double Team.
So, Larvitar comes out of hole: Protect~Bubblebeam~Double Team
Larvitar stays in hole: Hydrop Pump~Ice Beam~Double Team
Huh? So there are generally two forms of the attack: One just to dig, and the other to attack? Oh okay. My bad, but I'm not going to change it unless Razor says so.
Dig is basically Dig. It's used more to dig underground and hide, and things like that, rather than Dig underground and jump out to attack in one go. So people tend to make sure the specify how they want the attack done.
Dig: The user digs very quickly into relatively soft materials such as regular dirt. Hard materials such as metal, of course, are too hard to burrow through. The user can duck into such a tunnel with surprising speed, potentially foiling attackers that did not expect such a move. Once underground, the user can move around slowly without coming up to the surface. While underground, the user can either sap out a portion of the arena to create a big hole or burrow up quickly for a surprise attack. Creating a hole under an opponent will cause trivial damage but now the opponent will be stuck in a hole. Surprise attacks are more likely to bypass defense mechanisms. It is very difficult to follow a Digging pokémon, since they move the earth from in front of themselves to the tunnel behind themselves, thus sealing it up as they proceed. A follower, whether hostile or friendly, must stay very close. Two Diggers are unlikely to run into each other by chance, although some pokémon would be able to detect the vibrations associated with Digging. Pokémon that do not know Dig can dig, but they will be much slower at doing so and therefore will not be able to act quickly enough to evade attacks or allow for either basic attack strategy. However, they may be able to dig down to find a Digger, given time. Good accuracy.
Ah...Okay. Thanks guys. Well, I'll atack now (Dig), then after emerging, use Pursuit, and Frustration.
Not sure if I was supposed to post or not since I had had this up earlier. Just thought I would repost. =)Originally Posted by Stegyman

Forte begins the battle, burrowing up out of the ground and slamming himself into Leeroy's small tadpole body. Unfortunately for the Larvitar, the Poliwag erects a perfect shield in time to absorbs the attacks and protect himself from any damage. Coming out of the attack, the small rock type growls with frustration.
Surroudning himself with a dark energy, he darts forward at an speed that leaves a blur of movement in his wake, before striking Leeroy with a quick slash up the side of his body. The Poliwag lets out a yelp of pain, before spinning around and letting lose a stream of bubbles that strike the rock type and send it rolling across the grass until the stone dais stops it.
With anger swelling up inside him, Forte readies it into one swift attack. Before him, Leeroy glimmers, and in a flash of light is not one Poliwag, but three. Forte is left with a quick decision to make, and launches himself, teeth and claws at the nearest 'Wag, but his attack sends him straight through the false copy. Rolling back into a steady stance, Forte feels only more frustrated at his enemy.

Alright, Leeroy, let's see what we can do here.
Start this round off with a nice Blizzard, except try to aim for the ground around the dinosaur--I want this ground frozen! Next, if you find that the ground isn't quite frozen, use another Blizzard; if the ground seems pretty nice and frozen, fire off a nice Bubblebeam attack. Finally, let's end things with a Double Team but Protect yourself if something like an Earthquakes happens
Blizzard~Blizzard/SUB: Bubblebeam~Double Team/SUB: Protect
EDIT: yep, wondering about the Frustration thing myself.. went with it anyway. ^_^ But I've changed my last attack, so.. yeah.. ;x
Bamm has not posted in over a week.. what's going on??![]()
