*Asayake vs Stegyman* Ref: Jolteon100

[font=garamond]Ello everyone! New, I am. To battle, I wish. To get on with it . . . I will.

One Pokemon each, we will use. First I choose, Studdly the Shroomish. Choose second you will, and attacks. Banned attacks these are, Rest, Subsitute and Attract. DQ one week is. The arena shall be:

Wide open plains, as far as the eye can see. The grass waves in a gentle breeze, brushing up against the trainers waist. The trainers stand on platforms over the sea of grass. A creek bubbles through the center of the battle arena. It is about 3 feet deep and very cold.

Accept who will, I wonder?

Okay, Crispy, let's do this! First, let's start things off with a Double Team. Okay, if you see the plant charge you, blast him with a Flamethrower. If it does not charge you, fire off a Swift attack. Finally, let's end our turn with a nice Sunny Day. That would be a nice set up for us.

As he slumbers, Leach Seed him. Finally a Toxic[color=teal] in order is. If awake he becomes on the last round, still Toxic you will.

Intro

2 trainers meet in the middle of a open grass field, near them is a small, cold, creek of water. The trainers are Asayake and Stegyman, they both shake hands and return to their respective platforms. The ref signals the trainers can send out their pokemon. Asayake goes first, and his pokeball opens to release a plant like pokemon named Studdly. Stegyman goes next, and out of his pokeball appears a fire lizard pokemon named Crispy. The ref brings down the checkered flag, allow the trainers to begin giving their attack orders.


Note to trainers: tell me the gender of your pokemon so I can put it in.

Round 1

The battle between Asayake and Stegyman has begun! Crispy starts it out by creating 2 more mirror images of itself, making them impossible to distinguish from the real thing. Studdly sends a powder in the air, attempting to make Crispy fall asleep, the powder takes out both of Crispy’s clones, but Crispy himself is unarmed in this encounter. Studdly achieved a minor victory, but did not deal any damage.



Seeing that Studdly is making no attempt at charging, Crispy sends some sharp stars right at Studdly, Studdly takes the attack, suffering some damage, but nothing major. Studdly then releases the same powder at Crispy as the previous attack. This time there are no clones left to stop Crispy from inhaling the powder, and almost instantly Crisp falls to the ground and begins a very peaceful sleep. Studdly has gained the upper hand, with Crispy defenseless.


Stegyman tries to order his pokemon to an attack, but Crispy is sleeping soundly and has no chance of picking up on the command. Studdly is wide awake however, and spits some purple goo on to Crispy, and the attack hits and the goo sinks into Crispy. Crispy does not suffer any damage from the goo, but that will change soon. With that, the opening round of action comes to a close.

[font=garamond]Very good Studdly, was that round. Next, while he slumbers[font=garamond] Leech Seed[font=garamond], get on him. As he awakens [font=garamond]Sword Dance you will. If perhaps he awakens to quickly, and tries to flame you, Flash you will do upon him. Finally Body Slam him you will.

Okay, Crispy, time to layeth the smacketh downeth.

I know you're asleep, buddy, but if you can hear me use a Snore attack and try to stop the plant from planting seeds on you. Use Sleep Talk next if you're still asleep, then follow up with another Snore.

Now, Crispy, if you manage to wake up soon, engulf yourself in a Flame Wheel to get rid of those pesky seeds. After this, perform another Double Team attack. Finally, blast Shroomish with a Fire Blast to the face as he attempts to Body Slam you.

Round 2


We start the second round of action with Crsipy both asleep and poisoned. Studdly however is neither of those things and is ready to attack. Studdly releases a seed right at Crispy, and the seed strikes and latches on to the lizard, beginning to slowly suck energy from him. Crispy, who is still asleep, takes advantage of something he can do by emiting a very loud, screeching sound as he is still sleeping. Everyone is a little disoriented from the attack, but Studdly, who was the closest to Crispy and is not used to that loud of sound, is the one who is affected the most.


Studdly tries to use the next attack ordered by his trainer, but he is still not quite fully recovered from the loud attack from Crispy, and Studdly just holds his head and does nothing. Even though Crispy is still sleeping, he stands up almost in a trance, and sticks out its claw, ready to attack Studdly, instead the leech seed covering him absorbs the blow. The Seed is now removed from Crispy after sucking little health, but Crispy missed a chance to attack a wide-open Studdly.


Studdly is ready to attack again, and starts moving toward Crispy, ready to pounce on him, but Crispy, who is still asleep, emits another loud sound from his sleep, stopping Studdly in its tracks. Studdly could not complete the attack, but is more used to the sound now and is not harmed much. Finally at the end of the round, Crispy wakes up, but he picks a bad time to do it, as he feel the poison damage run through his veins.

Okay, MALE Crispy, time to do this Leeroy Jenkins style!

First, use a Flamethrower attack on the plant; let's see if we can do a hefty amount of damage. Now, if Shroomish comes anywhere near you after you use Flamethrower, engulf yourself in a Flamewheel. If not, shake things up with an Earthquake. Finally, end with a Double Team so we can have an advantage next turn.

Round 3

We are under way here in the third round of action in this battle. Crispy starts out by unleashing a blast of fire right at Studdly, hoping to deal a lot of damage. Studdly however, is prepared, and counter by spinning around to create a vortex. This does not stop all the fire from getting through, but it stops most of it. The attack also helped Studdly focus and be more prepared for his upcoming attacks.


Crispy see that Studdly is making no attempt at charging him, so he tries to shake the ground, until he does nothing and realizes that he cannot learn that attack. Studdly however, cannot take advantage of this because he was anticipating an attack from Crispy, and put up a protective shield that is useless now. Studdly puts down the attack because the fatigue of holding the attack was getting to him.


Crispy’s next attack is a defensive one, he gives himself 3 additional copies of a Charmander and all 4 line up side-by-side, all identical. Studdly takes a breather and just watches, studying the fire lizard. The round comes to an end with 4 charmanders, but only one feeling the pain of poison.

Okay, okay, we got this!

Crispy, use a Smokescreen to make it harder for the plant to hit you. Next, just relax in the smoke for a while--no sweat. Finally, you and every one of your clones rush out of the smoke and engulf the entire area where Shroomish is standing with a powerful Flamethrower (just hits the ground where Shroomish is standing.. it's grass, isn't it? ^_^)

Round 4


We begin round 4 with Studdly getting ready to fire off and attack, but Crispy tries to prevent this by sending blinding smoke right at Studdly. Studdly gets off the attack, firing several seeds before the smoke envelops the battlefield around him. Some seeds miss, but there are enough to take out Crispy’s clones and deal slight damage to the real Crispy. Studdly has a problem though as know he is covered in smoke and can not see clearly.


Studdly tries to attack again, this time attempting to fire off a giant poison ball to hit Crispy. Studdly could not see well because of the smoke and the attack hits harmlessly on the ground in front of Crispy. Crispy does nothing and just relaxes and takes a break. Smirking as he sees Studdly struggling trying to see anything clearly.


Studdly once again attempts an attack, this time sending a beam of energy at where he hoped Crispy would be, as it turns out the beam grazes Crispy slightly, but there is no effect because Crispy already has inflicted with poison, so the beam deals slight damage. Crispy charges up and then releases a blast of fire, not at Studdly but at the ground. The water in the lake absorbs some of the fire, but the remaining part of the attack hit the ground, and because of the remaining smoke and the grass surface, its starts to spread around a lot of the battlefield, and keeps getting bigger. It is closest to Studdly, and he takes slight damage The smoke is gone, but is replaced by a fire that is growing. Crispy takes some increased poison damage, which is becoming common as the 4th round of action ends.

Okay, Crispy, let's see if we can really dish out the pain this round! Start us off with a Sunny Day attack--let's make this heat near unbearable. Next use a Fire Spin and try to engulf the plant in your flames. If you do engulf Shroomish, fire off a Toxic of your own right at him. If he doesn't become engulfed, use a regular Flamethrower.

Second, him slumber let, and please head for the river. In its cool waters stand a little. Finally use[font=garamond] Giga Drain to gain energy some back.

Round 5


We begin round 5 with Crispy beckoning to the sky. This causes a very bright sun to come out of the clouds and intensify the fire all around the dry grass battlefield. Studdly tires to take advantage of Crispy not attacking him, but the powder Studdly sends into the air is useless as the fire absorbs and blocks the attack before it could even get near Crispy.


Crispy next t attempts to use his fire moves to deal a lot of damage to Studdly, but after he releases a giant fire attack at the grass pokemon, Studdly runs away and manages to get to the safe water before the fire could engulf him. Studdly missed being dealt fatal damage by the attack, although the fire continues to get stronger as it spreads.


Crispy again uses a fire attack, releasing a blast of fire at Studdly, who is partly submerged in the water. Studdly reaches out with a vine and attempts to grab Crispy, but the fire burns the vine and Studdly is forced to cool his body off in the water, but at least he isn’t damaged severely. Crispy is not as lucky however, as the poison that hit him in the beginning of the match, continues to deal damage to him as Round 5 ends but the fire continues.

[font=garamond]Studdly survive now all, this about, is. At all costs in river, stay. If attack he does with fire use[font=garamond] Protect. Next use Sword Dance. If possible is, try get water in vortex, then try aim you do, to fire in field. If not, still protect against fire, shall it . Finally if a fire move he does, use Protect. During two Protect's if he does come with physical blow, use Giga Drain you shall.

(Wouldn't it be safe to assume that the blazing fire, plus the intense heat from Sunny Day, would cause the water to BOIL, if not evaporate? That's just me, though..)

Okay, Crispy! Time for the plant to work on his tan! But.. the water is going to be a problem. Crispy, use a Smokescreen aimed at the small body of water (try to cover Shroomish if you can!). For your next attack, blast Shroomish with a Flamethrower--even though you might not be able to see him, the Smokescreen will help intensify the attack. Actually, just use two Flamethrowers. ^_^

Round 6


We begin round 6 with Studdly, waits for Crispy to attack, and braces himself for what Crispy does. Crispy takes this opportunity to send a cloud of smoke that starts to envelop the field around Studdly. Due to the heat, some of the smoke becomes fire, but Studdly uses a protective screen to prevent the fire damage. The remaining smoke however, is still around Studdly.

Studdly seeing the fire still burning starts to spin around. In the process, his spinning action begins to send the water in the lake in all random directions in an attempt to cool down the field. Studdly is blinded by the smoke however, so he cannot control where the water goes, and since the water has begun to get hotter, and his attack does not succeed that much. As Studdly was doing this, Crispy sent a blast of fire right at Studdly. Studdly takes good damage, but the fact that he was in water and spinning to deflect the attack, stopped some of the potential damage.

Crispy again releases another blast of fire at Studdly, trying to deal a lot of damage, Studdly sets up another protective screen to try to prevent the damage, but he had to guess where to put the screen, since the smoke was still blinding him, the screen blocked some of the fire, but still some of it got through and deal decent damage to Studdly. The end of the round is relief to Studdly and the trainers, as the smoke clears and the Sunny finally goes away. Crispy once again receives poison damage, and the fire is still burning as Round 6 ends.

Start off with a nice Sunny Day--I want the heat to stay! Second, try to hit Shroomish with a Toxic of your own. Finally, use a Flamethrower and try to roast the plant! And, Crispy, if the plant shoots anything at you, or attempts to touch you in any way, cover yourself with a Flamewheel.

Round 7

We begin round 7 with Crispy trying to bring out the sun again as he beckons to the sky, but all the sudden he sees a seed coming at him, and responding to his trainer, immerse himself in fire, burning up the seed as it neared the fire-lizard pokemon.

Crispy gets ready to attack again, but then he sees Studdly shoot another seed at him, and again covers himself in fire and burns the seed on contact, stopping the seed from attaching but also missing a chance to attack.

For the third time Crispy gets ready to attack, but for the third time he sees Studdly shooting out a seed at him and again he covers himself in fire to stop the seed. Studdly stalled Crispy for a round, and it is effective as Crispy takes increased poison damage and Studdly takes a little damage from the hot water as Round 7 ends.

Round 8

We begin round 8 with the obvious situation that with the health of both pokemon, it all ends here. Studdly begins by trying to outlast the poisoned Crispy. He does this by putting up a shield to stop an attack, but Crispy ignores this and instead focuses on the sky, and once again the bright sun burst out, heating the inferno further, and increasing the heat of the battlefield.


Studdly suddenly starts spinning around in a fast circle, possibly trying a defensive maneuver. Crispy is undaunted however, and blasts a stream of fire at the spinning plant. Studdly manages to stop some of the fire, but good damage comes through from the attack and Studdly is in visible pain from the attack.


Crispy tries to finsh off Studdly by blasting fire at the plant again, but Studdly is able to put up a shield and stop enough of the attack to survive the encounter. Crispy however, is not as lucky and finally succumbs to the long struggle with poison and faints. The ref signals the match over with and both trainers and the ref run from the field before the fire consumes everything as the Battle between Asayake and Stegyman ends.
