Just then, my cellphone rang. It was Mum. I answered it.

"Hello, honey! Have you gotten your pokemon?" Mum asked.

"Yeah," I replied happily. "I've got a male Torchic now! It's name is Bunsen."

"That's nice! Well, you should be starting off on your journey now. I'll be waiting for you in Mossdeep to earn my badge!I've got to go now." With that, Mum hung up. I put my cellphone back into my sling bag, and gathered Bunsen up in my arms.

"Hmm... Where to now?" I wondered, walking out of Professor Birch's lab. "Maybe we should just follow the path..."
