Default SR-71 v Dark Sage 3 on 3 melee Ref Weasel

Rules- Just like Razor Leafs idea, three pokemon out at once, only TWO attacks per turn, not three. To be fair, once we have a ref and an opponent, we send our three pokemon to the ref. Here are the basic rules.

We each send 3 pokemon to the ref
Once that is settled, you select attacks first.
    I attack second

Arena is fairly simple. We'll go with the North pole. Pretty much endless snow. A ice lake is to the side. The ice can be melted. After 5 turns, Santa Claus will fly by. What he does is completly up to the ref.

An option for my challanger to decide, if you so wish, we can use pokemon in their basic form.

    SR -

I'll take you on. However, I don't weant the pre-evolved option, and I have to wait for the evolutions I spent my points on to be approved.

While we're waiting, we can find a ref for this.

    - Dark Sage

Ok, the evolution rule sounds fine with me. Now we just need a ref.

Okay then, we can each use evolved pokemon.

I'll be ready as soon as you have a ref.

we would be more than happy to be your first battle Weasel. We shall PM you our pokemon. In case you are unsure of how this works, Dark Sage and I shall both PM you our 3 pokemon. After we both do, you post them. Afterwards, Dark Sage shall attack first and I shall attack second. Now remember, each of our pokemon only get 2 attacks per turn to help you, the ref, not go crazy. Thanks a bundle for reffing.

    Okay gang, listen up...

Venus, you take Metallingus. Use Skill Swap on him; try to gain his overpowering Defense, and give him one of your weaknesses. Then fry him with a Thunderbolt.

    Skill Swap/Thunderbolt (both Metallingus)

Lily, you handle Hoops. Brighten this area up with a Sunny Day. Then get him with a Solarbeam.

    Sunny Day/Solar Beam (Hoops)

Oak, Cerebus (whose name is spelled wrong, by the way), is yours. Stun him with Fake Out, and then pound him with a Brick Break.

    Fake Out/Brick Break (both Cerebus)

All of you - if any of them try to use a move that will result in you being poisoned or paralyzed, switch your current move to Protect.

    Alternate move (all): Protect

And I'll turn it over to my opponent.

Alright then, we have a plan.

Metalingus, since they were ordered to use Protect as a alternative, we'll use that as a advantage. Start with a Toxic at Venus, then use a Shadow Ball on her.

Toxic ~ Shadow Ball )Both Venus

Hoops, Rain Dance after the Sunny Day. Since Solar Beam will be either rather weak or still charging, we can take the advantage. use a wide spread BLizzard. Hit them all if you can, but other wise, just hit Oak.

Rain Dance ~ Blizzard (all if posible, otherwise Oak)

Cerebus (I like the spelling. I don't mind that its wrong) strike Venus with a quick Faint Attack. When Oak comes at you with a Brick Break, counter it! We'll see if he likes that!

Faint Attack (Venus) ~ Counter (Oak)

    [B][COLOR=powderblue]Let round One begin!

[COLOR=silver]Both of the opponents stand at opposite ends of the snowy arena, with what appears to be a large pole in the centre. It is true, the battlers are at the North Pole, and despite the pole being a thing of legend, there it stands, proud and tall.

The players whip out their pokeballs for what looks to be one of the biggest battles seen in a while; three pokemon each in what can only be called a ‘mob’.

First to appear is Dark Sage’s team; Venus the female Kirlia, Oak the male Nuzleaf and Lily the female Lombre.

This grass heavy mob squares up next to the frozen lake as SR-71 prepares his team of Cerebus the male Houndour, Metallingus the Metang and Hoops the female Wooper. Opposite the lake the pokemon make faces at the Sage’s mob in an attempt to psyche them out.

Both trainers yell their instructions at their pokemon and the match begins with each being told to take a single member of each team.

Venus is to handle the Metang, and she floats nearer and nearer, her eyes glowing with psychic energy as she begins her Skill Swap. To her surprise, however, Metallingus chooses not to attack her physically, but uses a Toxic instead. As the ball of goop flies towards her face, she desperately tries to erect a Protect in time. The sphere snaps up, but not before a tiny amount of poison entered the Kirlia’s mouth. Spitting, she desperately tried to get rid of it, but it was too late. Not only that, but her protect had taken up quite a bit of her energy and she felt somewhat drained now. However, obeying her trainers orders was her first priority, and as the second ball of flying goop came hurtling towards her, this time in the form of a shadow ball, she snapped up her hands, beckoning at the sky. A large bolt of electricity came snaking from a cloud to hit the Metang smack on the back as it’s attack connected with Venus’ shield. Rolling from the sheer force of the lightning, Metallingus scowled in Venus’ direction as it struggled back to it’s feet.

    Meanwhile...

Lily, upon being told who to direct her attacks at, began to chant in a sweet voice while looking up at the sky hopefully. As she looked, the sun came out, illuminating the arena, but what’s this? Another voice began to chant, but this one is from Hoops, who does not like the look of the sunlight. In answer to the song, Hoops was chanting clouds into the sky, which instantly darkened. Soon after, rain began to pour down in large drops, soaking all the pokemon through. In anger, Lily began to charge her Solar Beam up, while Hoops did the same with her Blizzard. Both pokemon let off their attacks at the same time, the Solar Beam cutting through Hoops’ Blizzard and sending shards of ice flying in all directions, including into Lily’s eyes and onto her tender skin. Howling in pain, she sat down with a thump, only gratified by the fact that her Solar Beam had managed to scorch quite a bit of Hoops, even if it wasn’t quite at full power when she unleashed it.

    Meanwhile...

...Oak, grinning slightly at Cerebus, darted in straight towards his face in a blindingly quick attack. Startled, Cerebus flinched as his attentions were focused on Venus, leaving him open for Oak’s next attack, a Brick Break carefully aimed to do as much damage as possible.
Cerebus, however, has different ideas. Shaking his head and growling, he began to glow a menacing red colour. Oak continued with his attack, all his energy concentrated into his balled fist and so he failed to see the danger he was in. As Cerebus howled his defiance and the attack connected, Oak noticed the red, but by then it was too late as his own attack whipped back at him, bounding off Cerebus’ unearthly fur. The reflected Brick Break got Oak right in the chest, flinging him off balance and onto the floor.

At the end of round one, statistics are as follows...

    Nuzleaf [M] – Oak | Trainer - Dark Sage
    92 health
    95 Energy
Status – Bruised around the chest and wheezing slightly, soaked but enjoying it

    Kirlia [F] - Venus | Trainer - Dark Sage
    99 health
    91 energy

    Lombre [F] – Lily | Trainer - Dark Sage
    91 health
    92 Energy

Venus, first, use Double Team! Confuse them! Then, try to use Skill Swap on Metallingus again. Try to gain his iron defenses, and give him one of your weaknesses.

Lily, end this Blizzard by using Rain Dance. Then hit Cerebrus with a Hydro Pump.

Oak, hit Cerebus with a Brick Break. Then turn to Hoops, and get him with Giga Drain.

    See how that works.

    [B][COLOR=powderblue]Let round Two begin!

[COLOR=silver]For round two, the trainers once again shout their attacks and the six pokemon’s ears and various listening orifices prick up ready to listen.

Cerebus, use a Crunch twice on Venus, Hoops, Ancient Power twice on Venus too, and Metallingus, use a Sludge Bomb on Oak and a Sludge Bomb on Lily.

Venus, first, use Double Team! Confuse them! Then, try to use Skill Swap on Metallingus again. Try to gain his iron defences, and give him one of your weaknesses. Lily, end this Blizzard by using Rain Dance. Then hit Cerebus with a Hydro Pump, and Oak, hit Cerebus with a Brick Break. Then turn to Hoops, and get him with Giga Drain.

With their commands heard and understood, the six turn back to the battle, Cerebus being the first one to move. Galloping over to Venus in a spray of water he opened his big jaw ready to crunch down on the little psychic type, only to find himself confronted by another four of the same psychic type, in a line, grinning smugly. Swinging his head wildly, he decided on the far left grinning effigy, and, mouth filled with dark energy, he chomped down with relish, expecting to feel the yielding of flesh between his fangs. To his surprise, his fangs clacked together with a resounding noise as they went straight through the image, shattering it into a thousand pieces. Shaking his head in disgust, Cerebus paused a second before carrying out his master’s second command. The middle one! He charged, the dark energy filling his mouth once again. All of the images were grasping their heads with tiny arms, a look of concentration on their faces, and so the real Venus failed to see or attempt to avoid Cerebus’ attack, which clamped around her waist as he chewed, the energy expelling itself all over her body. Letting out a quiet moan, Venus went still in Cerebus’ jaws as he turned to face the new challenge of Oak, his fist clenched once more and glowing energy ready to be released.

This time he would not be foiled, and his fist connected directly with Cerebus’ muzzle, knocking him head over paws and the tiny Kirlia out of his mouth. Metallingus, seeing his team-mate in trouble, immediately let off his attack; a gloopy ball of, well, gloop, which splatted all over the back of Oak’s crowing head, knocking it forward slightly with the power of the attack.

Lily, seeing Cerebus at a disadvantage, began her mystical chant of rainy doom while glaring at the clouds as if challenging them to defy her. On cue, rain began to pour once again and she smirked in the direction of the felled mutt. Opening her mouth, she conjured up all the watery thoughts she could think of and let fly with a Hydro Pump. Pressurised water flowed over Cerebus and he grunted with pain and a natural dislike of water. But Metallingus came to his rescue, hurling a globbet of sludge right at Lily’s turned back. Managing a grin, Cerebus crowed as Lily cried out in pain.

Venus, slightly recovered but wincing from her sojourn with Cerebus’ jaws, gathered her energy again to perform her final task of this round. Swapping skills with Metallingus, she grinned as his power was exchanged with hers. Slumping down in pain, she looked up to find a pile of rocks hovering over her head. Managing a smile as the pile toppled onto one of the remaining clones, she struggled to her feet, the same as her last two images, challenging Hoops to hit her. Gathering them into a circle, her protection grew and Hoops had a hard time deciding which to attack, finally settling on the one closest to her.
Venus’ smile turned to a grimace as Hoops’ guess was right, and she collapsed under the weight of the psychically moved rocks. Oak, seeing his friend in pain, instantly extended his arms to Hoops and attached what seemed to be a sucker to her neck. He smiled as green energy flowed along his arm, revitalising him a little; lessening the pain of the sludge bomb.

At the end of round two, statistics are as follows...

    Nuzleaf [M] – Oak | Trainer - Dark Sage
    [COLOR=silver]82 health
    89 Energy
Status – Bruised around the chest and wheezing slightly with a sore head

    Kirlia [F] - Venus | Trainer - Dark Sage
    [COLOR=silver]84 health
    87 energy
Status – Badly poisoned (toxic damage, 6% next turn), wet through and partially buried in rubble (two clones left)

    Lombre [F] – Lily | Trainer - Dark Sage

    84 Energy
Status – Chips of ice embedded in her face and upper torso, soaking wet and poisoned (3% damage next turn)

Lily, first use a Double Team of your own. Then, since it worked so well the first time, use Hydro Pump on Cerebrus.

Venus, Teleport out from under the rocks, and behind your enemies. Then, use the poison to your advantage. Use Facade on Hoops.

Oak, that Metallingus is trouble. Since most of his attacks are ranged, you have to get in and grapple. Close in on him, use Shadow Punch, and then Brick Break. His hybrid nature will make his resistances ineffective.

Cerebus, Flamethrower Oak once, then use a Sludge Bomb on Lily.

Metallingus, Psychic Lily to the ground, then use a Meteor Mash on Venus

Hoops, use an Curse, then use an anicent power on Venus.

Argh! I officially hate exams! Dudes, you might actually be better off getting yourselves a subref for this, I'm having to quit all sorts lately >< Much to my displeasure, I've even had to drop out of RPGs!

I'm really sorry, and I hope my absence won't skew your views of me...I honestly didn't think I'd be so busy...
