Bomb Voyage is an excellent name

Sneasel uses quick attack + ice punch/metal claw to cause some excellent damage. I think I called it Quick Clawz when I last used it, but Sneasel hasn't been battling much as of late.

Another one Elekid used was thunder-wave and quick attack. As he sped towards his foe he produced a surrounding area of static electricity, so if the foe attempted to hurt him theyd get paralysed. Didn't have a name.

Cacturne's Holy Spores! combo was nice - a cotton spore/toxic mix was released. Cotton spore generally nullifies such things like thunderwave, which was helpful. It also slows the foe down. Coupled with toxic, which is in a fume form the opponent naturally inhales makes it pretty deadly. But even better is the finale - Cacturne uses faint attack to sweep through the spores fast and strike the foe.

Hey guys there's a topic in ASB Towers on the Battle Frontier idea I mentioned before. Can you check it out and give your opinions on which idea you think would work best? Thanks.

Yeah hi.. I'm back after my random disappearance... Anyways...

And yes TheBlueAvenger, it did call it that. ^_^ I'm glad you like the name.

I have no real special combos I use. Because I really don't use them... Its fun describing them though... I think I neat one would be a hail and blizzard combo. Kinda like a giant ice block falls on the opponents head, Hehehe.. Thats funny to picture.

Anyways yeah.. I don't have much to say because I need to desperately get caught up. So um..

    Toodles.

*Gets the attention of the nearest Waitress*

    Double Latte, please.

Urgh this place is kinda slow atm. Is it school or something? Anyway I'm spending tomorrow suit-shopping, I have a college dinner dance coming up and need to look my sharpest. Damn girlfriend...

But in ASB land, not much is new. However I am thinking of some crazy battle in Goldenrod City. Maybe on the Monorail Line or something, and if you fall off, the match continues on the ground. Or you can explore the city and fight on buildings.

I'm in 3 matches, but when I'm free I'll try and set it up.

Also my wee Meditite needs a battle or else he can't evolve . Poor guy, the rest of the team's big and strong and he's fallen behind. I'm sure he'll get some EXP somewhere.

    So....here's a dandy question.

Who do you think will win the ASB Tournament?

I know it sounds very odd and rather unfair but I'm keen to see who thinks who will do well. I am actually quite undecided - I think Wolfsong, Razor Leaf or Knight of Time will emerge victorious. However, Round 2 of the Tournament houses some twists and turns which might change the odds for competetors. It's hard to decide.

    What does anybody else think?

Whoa, I'm surprised you think I might win the Tournament Chris.

It's definitely too soon to tell who will be the big winner of this tournament, but I'd be surprised if I was to win it all, and be just as surprised if RaZoR LeAf or Wolfsong was to win it. Who knows, we three might even be the top three!

Ahhh... that's a very good question. Personally, I, see RaZoR LeAf or Wolfsong being at the top, but on the other hand, I think that if I can get some of my team evolved, I might stand a pretty good go at it.

Ah well. What happens happens. Even if I don't get terribly far (which, in all honesty, is incredibly likely ), it'll be fun while it lasts.

Chris: If you have a slot when I next have one, I'd be more than happy to face your Meditite. Also, concerning arenas, I always try to make my arenas as interesting as possible. I'm thinking my next one might have to be an F-Zero themed course...

Hmm F-Zero sounds good. Big Blue perhaps? Or Mute City. But I might not be able to use Meditite on that Arena. I'd have to use a speedy Pokemon like my Flygon.

Heres a discussion...I'm Smergle fan, been wanting to use one for awhile. So how does this pokemon transition in ASB, will it have no attacks at all, or can we give it say...a set number of attacks to give it a chance to survive in battle to sketch more attacks?

Difficult to say. What may be easiest is that it has a set number of 'sketches', and you can use sketch to copy an attack. However you need to keep a track of the sketched attacks, and make sure everyone knows what they are. That way you could breed moves onto Smeargles in future. Hmm I'm still not sure though. It may be that it has acess to all TM moves or something.

    We'll discuss it.

I beleive people have had Smeargles in the past, when signature moves were still allowed. I imagine they compensated for Smeargle's moveset with the signature moves (same for pokemon like Wobbuffet and Unown). If anyone is still around that had a Smeargle, they might be the ones to ask how attacks were decided upon then..

To bring up the Smergle topic again, I recently got one as a gift (much thank Chris W. ^_^) and I really wanna test it out. Would is be possible to have a mix of both all TM's and a Set number of sketches? Maybe 5-10 and with each sketch it has to be reapproved showing it got the moves legit. Maybe there should be a limit to sketches per battle...say 2 or 3 times. Just ideas.

I like the idea of having a Smeargle who is limited in having so many sketches and can learn the TM moves. For example...

    Trainer A has a Smeargle.
    Trainer B release a Dragonite.

Dragonite does Safegaurd, Dragon Rage, and Ice Beam.

Trainer A can have Smeargle sketch just one attack this round, and a limit of three per battle. I beleive 10 would be enough if Smeargle can learn all the TMs.

Smeargle is being thought out. The only problem is keeping track of Smeargle's sketched attacks could get sloppy. Giving him all the TMs would mean he would have fantastic potential....so we'll see.

    It's being discussed.

I'm getting kinda dissapointed in the tourney. Our ref has been missing for atleast 2 weeks.

On the plus side though I won my first match and I get to catch 2 new pokés. I also hope I can finish my new battle since I got to sneak on the computer. Should be half an hour each day since my dad leaves for work after 21:30.
Anyway just 8 more days of exams and it will all be cool for a couple of weeks.

Put up another battle (from experience I learn I can be quiet active) with a new made up arena from me ^^

    Arena - JingleBells
The arena is a giant christmas tree with all kinds of gigantic presents around it. These presents can hold good surprices (healing life, providing shelter, a weapon to use,...) as well as bad (a jack-in-the-box, spring beans,...). These surprices are up to the ref(thinking up with others aswell). Our pokémon will be released somewhere between all the presents. Beware as the tree can damage your pokémon. Not only can the christmas decoration fall, but being slammed into the needles isn't that nice either.

I know the description isn't that good but it will be intresting to fight in.
Kinda on the same note but how do you feel when you made up an arena and suddenly because of some attack (earthquake or fire would be a good example) your arena gets totalled. It makes me feel kinda sad.

So now I got 2 battles (hopefully both running soon) so I got a thirth sloth. I got something in my mind but I don't really know how the point devision and the attacking order would go.
My idea is to hold a 1on1on1. 3 Trainers at a time. So let me describe how I got it in my head

Trainer 1 sends first, then trainer 2 and finally trainer 3.
Trainer 3 attacks first, then trainer 2 and last trainer 1.
    [Round 1]
Trainer 2 attacks first, then trainer 1 and finally trainer 3
    [Round 2]
Trainer 1 attacks first, then trainer 3 and finally trainer 2
    [Round 3]
Trainer 3 attacks first, then trainer 2 and finally trainer 1
    ...

    Would this be fair?
Also I have no clue about point devision.

Rather than reversing after the first round it should go around in a cycle.

    Round 1 = 1 - 2 - 3
    Round 2 = 2 - 3 - 1
    Round 3 = 3 - 1 - 2
    Round 4 = 2 - 3 - 1
    Round 5 = 1 - 2 - 3

And so on. Basically each one get pushed ahead and wrapped around to the start for each new turn. People have done 3 on 3's in the past, so it can work, just as long as everyone pays attention to the ordering. it'd help if the ref mentioned the correct battling order at the end of each new round.

As for winnings, it depends on how many pokemon you actually use. For regular battles the winnings are equal to the amount of pokemon used (on both sides) for both winner and ref, and half that (pokemon used by one person) to the loser. In this case it would be similar. If you use 1 pokemon each the winner and ref would get 3 points, and the losers would get 1 each. That's total pokemon used for the winner and ref, and then amount used by one person for the loser. basically:

    - 1 on 1 on 1: Winner and Ref (3 pts.); Losers (1 pt. each)
    - 2 on 2 on 2: Winner and Ref (6 pts.); Losers (2 pts. each)
    - 3 on 3 on 3: Winner and Ref (9 pts.); Losers (3 pts. each)

    And so on.

    So guys....

The Tournament has been updated with the information for Round 2. Round 2 pairings will be added when all the Round 1 Matches have been completed.

What does anyone think? Will it be hard? Easy? Go any strategies, or any hopes on who you'll face?

I know I fought Andrew with this style, and it's way less straight forward than you'd think.

Hmm, the layout for Round 2 is quite interesting IMO.

I never really would have thought that I would pick my opponent's Pokemon in the next round (and vice versa), but I'm not afraid to fight as hard as I can.

Say, before the next round starts, wouldn't it be a good idea for the opponent (and possibly ref too) to know the opposing team first?

As for myself, I got an eventual part dragon, Sawblu from Crystal Tears (though I might cheat on my randomness and get another dragon, I think their so cool), and a very funky Sudowoodo from Chris W. I can't belive Christmas is this Sunday! Oo''' Time goes by so fast lol. Everyone got their Christmas shopping done? I haven't . . . lol I only got two people left though. ^^'''

Well I'm very pleased with all the pokemon I've been given.

Poochyena from Wolfsong has been named Shenzi after one of the Hyena's in Lion King (The one voiced by Whoopie Goldberg)

Slowpoke from Andrew has been named Wizard. The Wizard of Oz - Oz Andrew.. eh eh? Come on admit it, it's clever!

HootHoot from Chris 2.0 is called Hedwig I think you all know where that particular name comes from (Harry Potter if you didn't. It the name of his owl. Why does he need an owl? Well he just does.)

Horsea from Chris Watarimono is called Tattu because it sounds cool and is alot like Tatsu which means something I just can't remember what.

Gastly from SR71-EKFTS is called Lorefel which is the name of a character from the very start of the Pokemon School RPGs way back when Damian Silverblade was just a member. Said character was owned by Bulbasaur11345 and over the course of the RPG became a Ghost/Dark type (this was long before RS' time).

I try to use all my pokemn fairly. There's 22 to chose from now, some are new so I haven't used them yet, some I'm waiting for the right battle to use them in. Obviously when I started out (with Zangooose, Solrock, Torchic and Zubat) I used Solrock and Zangoose a lot. Now I don't use them as often, but I like having the pairs (Zangoose and Seviper, Solrock and Lunatone, Shedinja and Ninjask) I really don't use Gligar very much at all, and I'm thinking of trading him.

I think I use my team members equally, and most are favourites. Ones who will be hopefully fighting in the future are Dusclops, Typhlosion, Charmeleon, Dratini, Claydol....mainly because these guys haven't fought much since they evolved/were obtained.

Well I didn't battle of course, due reasons explained in the reffing tower, but my favorite must be Snorlax, it's huge belly makes it seem kewl, although Slugma is really the shizzels and Slowbro is just plain out awesomeness. Gotta evolve him first though.

Well i'm evolving my Slowpoke into a Slowking, so when they're both eveolved we'll have to have a 1 on 1 Slowpoke+ Battle

I probably use Exeggutor most, just because he's versatile and more mobile than a lot of other Pokemon on my team. However, I hope in my Goldenrod City match that Triangle Man (Carvanha) gets some time in the sun.

I also like to use Sedgewick (Koffing) and Tap-Tap (Dugtrio), just because Tap-Tap can Magnitude/Earthquake away and Sedgewick won't feel a thing.

I'm itching to use my Nidoking and Smeargle, once hes finished being discussed over about his attacks. I'm a fan of Shinys, and on some occasions, I choose a poke upon its altered color, such as my Shiny Charmander for his black final evo. Underused are great, as I see no one with a Milktank and I plan to give all my team well rounded battle experience once everyone is evolved.

Hey, you know that Smeargle now has a ruling, right?

No doubt about it, I'm looking forward to it, got to grab some points first though. Btw, did you hear something from magdaw? Otherwise the battle is probably going to be off. He didn't show up anymore...

Anyway on a different note, I took most pokemon because not many other people had these pokemon (with the exception of Snorlax that is). I already planned a team of 6 members, so I'll be patient and get them somehow.
