MLG Vs. Darth Skrusti (Ref: Weasel Overlord.) [Platform Match]

Well, like the title declares, it's a match on platforms, further information at Arena discription.

- Number of Pokemon to be used: 3
- Who sends first: Ref decides.
- Who attacks first: Ref decides.
- Pokemon will be send to the referee.
- Banned: Rest, Recover, etc. Also cheap moves are frowned upon. (this includes Perish Song, Grudge, etc.)
- DQ Time: One week.
- Arena: Platform arena. An plain arena with different pilars sticking out of the vast, dirty ground. The pilars contain several 'stick-outs' that are suitable for standing. On top of every pilar is a large, white platform, suitable for Aerial combat. The tricky part about this otherwise intruiging arena is that every 5 minutes, the 'stick-out' parts alter. They are random chosen by a Main Computer. Alternation could mean a fatal mistake! Beware.

Yuki, while that thing might believe he's large and in charge, you have smallness and agility to help you out! These pillars certainly have a minimum distance between each one, so I'll assume it's going to have a hard time moving.

This round, stay away from it. Set up a screen of Reflect. Then, find out what it's doing, Mind Reader! Finally, end this round with an Attract unless he can't see you or it's considered 'cheap'. If either of these two conditions, or both, are true, Bulk Up!

SUBS: If Snorlax tries to come near you, try and hop up onto one of the platforms to escape it!

Yuki the female meditate plonked herself down between two pillars, happy to carry out her masters orders to protect herself. She sure didn’t like the look of the Snorlax that loomed over her head. Chanting quietly, she conjured up a mauve shield that formed a barrier between her and Dionysus.
Smiling smugly behind her barrier, she prepared for her next move with her head cocked on one side, until she noticed a loud noise coming from the other end of the arena. Dionysus seemed to be yawning. How bizarre, he must be tired, Yuki thought, while yawning herself. Gathering her mind and blinking to reduce the tiredness, she performed her next move.

Concentrating on the bulk of the snorlax, she gained an insight into what his next move was. A shadow ball? Opening her eyes sharply, she espied a large, tan coloured ball of non-energy flying towards her at an alarming speed. Searching for a way out, she found her limbs had decided to stop obeying her commands, and her eyes drooped further.

Frantically, she tried to stay awake as the shadow ball grew closer, but Yuki’s eyes closed firmly as the pale ball connected dead on, knocking her onto her back with an explosion that shattered the silence of the strange arena.

From a distance, Dionysus smirked and then, safe in the knowledge that his foe was asleep, he began to power up his focus punch. Glaring at his fist, he willed energy to form there.

...five minutes in...

One of the ledges directly above Dionysus shifted as he concentrated, causing him to lose his focus slightly. Shaking his head, he picked up his bulk and lumbered over to the tiny sleeping figure that was Yuki. Unaware, she slept on. Unaware, that is, until Dionysus’ punch blasted into her Reflect, which still shimmered occasionally. The power of the punch only made the shield bend, as it had not fully charged up, but it was enough to do a fair quantity of damage to the sleeping form of the Meditite.

As her trainer shouted her instructions, Yuki, roused by the sound of his voice, awoke from her slumbers, much to Darth’s relief.

Dionysus, his trainer’s orders to attack first, goes in for his first attack, a devastating Brick Break which shatters Yuki’s barrier asunder. She scowled up at his bulk and winced as the attack connects, but then she recovered and began to power up her own attack, focusing all her energy into her clenched fist. She swung, her little fist connecting with the huge belly of Dionysus, who looked down, confused at the tiny creature that was attacking him.

Angered now, Dionysus began to glow an eerie red colour. Yuki shrieked out as her own attack was reflected back at her, the Snorlax’s Counter coming into play. Retaliating, she concentrated again, her fist glowing for a final time before she swung at Dionysus again.

Clobbered him for a second time didn’t do anything to improve the Snorlax’s temper, and he began to yawn with tiredness. Halfway through his yawn, he stopped, mouth wide open. The tiny Meditite was just sitting there, calming her mind and totally ignoring him. Scratching his head, Dionysus decided that he didn’t want to perform his move after all and he sat himself down to await his trainers next set of commands.

Alright, now, I want you to retreat away from your enemy, use the pillars to your advantage. Use your natural limberness to dodge his body slams and whatnot. Try and Calm your Mind again, and prepare yourself! Use Psychic to hold that thing at bay, maybe even toss it about if you think you can. Aim for a pillar! Finally, sit and Meditate on everything that has happened so far.

MLG’s desperate shouts did nothing to rouse Dionysus from his confused stupor, much to the trainer’s rancour, but he shouted his orders anyway.

Yuki, glad of the rest, stayed sitting down and proceeded to calm her mind once again to better prepare her for the onslaught of the huge Snorlax.

Somehow, his trainer’s intent managed to make itself known to Dionysus, and he began to charge up his devastating attack of woe.

Before Dionysus could unleash his attack, however, Yuki gathered her energies in the form of a psychic attack on her large opponent. Lifting his bulk using the power of her mind, Yuki just managed to get him slightly off the ground. True to her master’s orders, she flicked him over towards a pillar, just as Dionysus decided to let off his storing of power in a Hyper Beam. The fact that her was being held by Yuki’s power, and that he had just been bounced off a pillar meant that the beam only skimmed the little pokemon as she sat back down to perform her final move.

Landing on the ground, the Snorlax took a break as he was ordered, leaving him tired, but marginally less so than usual.

As Yuki closed her eyes in meditation, Dionysus also closed his and began to twitch a finger in an eerie motion. What would happen next? The trainers waited with bated breath to see Snorlax decide that he didn’t actually want to do a metronome at all, and plonked himself down with a thud at the bottom of the pillar. Knotting his hands together, Dionysus waved them above his head in a parody of victory and promptly slumped down afterwards, his eyes closed as he tried to fight the confusion that overtook his mind.

Ok Dionysus! Get over the confusion! Start off by firing a Toxic attack towards Yuki! Then fire another Shadowball for a super-effective hit and end with a Frustration to show that you mean buisiness!

If Toxic fails for any reason use a Yawn, if Yuki puts op a safeguard use a Skullbash to throw him off his pilar.

Subs: Yawn/Skullbash.

Psychic, take hold of the Toxic and throw it back at him. If for some reason you can't do this, Detect it and dodge, or if Snorlax can't perform Toxic, and sits there confused, Secret Power.

Then, if he uses Yawn, pay no attention and Calm your Mind again. If Shadowball, try your best to Light Screen it away.

(NOTE: Shadowball is seen much like Hyper Beam, it is a 'special' attack since Snorlax doesn't physically strike Meditite. If this isn't the case, then Meditite should Protect against it.)

Finally, as he comes at you with his Frustration, if he does, let him hit you a bit. Don't be afraid. Then, Focus Punch him in the face! Do whatever you have to to get up that high! If you can't reach his face, a leg or arm will do.

Alot of things can happen IMO...

and I once fought a person who used a Hoppip (back during the old TPM ASB, with siggehs) who used about 30 Subs. If my Zubat used this move, Hoppip was to do this. If my Zubat used that move, Hoppip was to do this. Pissed the ref off to no end, because he had a sub for every move a Zubat could learn (R/B/Y/G/S/C) at the time.

And in round four, Dionysus is still confused, and yet he manages to perform his move to his trainer’s happiness!

Still seated, Yuki closed her eyes and concentrated on the ball of gloop that was flying towards her. Suddenly, her eyes snapped open, just as the ball was about to hit, and Yuki leapt down off her perch and safely onto the ground, happy that her detect had worked.

Dionysus, however, was not so happy as he charged up his next attack, a Shadow Ball. However, his trainers confusing commands, coupled with his actual confusion meant that the poor Snorlax managed to hit himself instead of Yuki, who merely smirked in his direction.

However, upon coming to her own next attack, Yuki scratched her head. Just what was she supposed to do? Hmm... Sitting down, she decided to calm her mind again, as the less energetic of her instructions.

The huge Snorlax lumbered over to where Yuki was sitting, intent on doing at least a little damage this round. She looked up at him, quietly concentrating on her fist while Dionysus started slapping her around a bit, taking his frustration out on Yuki.

Grinning up at Dionysus, she unleashed her attack on the closest leg, making a loud cracking sound. Snorlax buckled under his own weight, falling onto one of the pillars with a crash.

Yuki, stay out of his reach, he won't be going anywhere with a broken knee. Since I will *not* use Toxic, I won't take this oppurtunistic time to use it.

Start off by getting away, dodging behind pillars if he tries to Shadow Ball/Hyperbeam you. You should be able to Detect their trajectories.

Then, stay still, and create a wall of rocks between you and him with Rock Tomb.

Move away ~ Dodge attacks (Detect Hyper Beam/Shadow Ball) ~ Rock Tomb (Create wall of rocks between Yuki and Snorlax)

To bad about your knee Dionysus, then lets use non-moving techniques. First use a Psychic and pin him down to the ground, then freeze him with an icebeam! Then finish it off with a Hyperbeam and smash him while he's stuck in the ice! If he somehow manages to escape the Psychic don't use Icebeam, but use Psych Up instead and copy his calm mind. If he's not trapped in an ice-prison and he's going to be using Rock Tomb, use Fissure and crack the pilar he's standing on! That should do it.

Yuki smirked at the huge Snorlax as she got away from him, his knee obviously in pain as the poor creature gritted his teeth and then smiled as his mind became suddenly clear.

It’s like a curtain has been swept away for Dionysus as his confusion is gone, and he grinned wickedly at Yuki, concentrating all his energies on pinning her to the ground.

Although Snorlax’s psychic abilities aren’t that great, he managed to carry out his trainer’s command perfectly, pinning the struggling Yuki to the ground.

Closing her eyes, Yuki concentrated on evading whatever attack may be coming her way. She sensed the Ice Beam and as Snorlax had to drop his psychic powers to use his next attack, she tried to wriggle out of the way.

Almost succeeding, Yuki was caught on the leg by the beam of ice, freezing it to the ground. Stomping madly with her other leg, Yuki managed to summon a small wall of rock to protect her from Dionysus, who, upon seeing said rock wall, decided to use Fissure.

However, he didn’t quite manage to put the right amount of energy in, and the ground merely trembled slightly, leaving the Snorlax mightily peeved and quite tired.

Next, Confusion, mess with its mind again, which should be quite vulnerable, unless the Light Screen doesn't deflect Shadow Ball for some reason. If it doesn't, then uh...use Psychic to lift a rock in the way of the thing.

Now, if Light Screen is still up, the flames will be useless. If it is, take a break, gather some energy back. If not, then use Metronome =)

Yuki, happy to oblige her trainer, sets up a nice dome-shaped screen to shield her from attacks, however, Dionysus being told to attack first, managed to get in his Thunderbolt just before the dome was erected.

Zapping Yuki, the energy soon dissipated, leaving her cowering under her shield for a second, frazzling slightly from the lightning before resting her palms on her crossed legs and focusing her psychicy energies on causing a series of ripples to drift outwards.

Dionysus, who had been charging his shadow ball, let if off just as the Confusion took effect on the air, and the ball of null energy went whizzing towards Yuki, clashing with her shield and splotting all over it like pigeon-doings on a car window.

The Light Screen, having bent a little under the strain of the ball of gloop, decided to buckle and disappear, leaving Yuki sure of her next move, but vulnerable to Dionysus’ flamethrower. Yuki, concentrating, suddenly became surrounded by a faint aura of light.

The Snorlax, letting off his stream of fire, wondered what was going on, before a blinding light illuminated the arena and a beam of concentrated energy came shooting out towards him.

Dionysus was hit right in his huge belly, causing him to fall over backwards with an amusing rolling motion, as Yuki sat back in satisfaction, feeling the sting from biding her energy for so long.

(Shouldn't the Light Screen have been up for the Flamethrower? Light Screen/Barrier/Reflect are able to take two 'big' special attacks. Shadow Ball, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, are all 'big'. If it were Hyper Beam - Fully Charged, then 1 hit would've been fine, along with Fire Blast and Thunder and Hydro Pump, but a Shadow Ball shattering it? o0)

Hmm. About the only thing he can do is hit us from afar.

Set up another Light Screen. Dome Form. Make sure it's strong enough to take 2 hits.

Confusion. Mess with his mind again.

Then, grip his leg with Psychic, the leg that is broken, and give him hell. Twist it, put pressure on it (but not enough to pop knee into place), just make him hurt.

While, he's putting up a lightscreen use Psych Up and copy all the calm minds and attack raised. Then you should have a Calm mind against the confusion and be able to take down the lightscreen in one blow, with all your boosted power. So take it down (and maybe even Yuki) with a Shadowball, then finish it up with a Hyperbeam and send him to the pokeball. The Hyperbeam will stop his mental concentration for psychic.
