Crystal Tears and Asayake’s Challenge.

Arena: CT’s Mind World I

The ground dirt, rocks, and sand are all black. Jagged pieces of black crystal pierce out from the ground menacingly, and deep cracks run through the entire arena. Geysers of steam erupt at random when someone strays to close. An Acid River and an Acid Lake make this place far more dangerous.
The ground will occasionally shake, and the acid geysers spread about the arena will erupt with the deadly liquid, spraying all who dare to near it.
What use to be trees are now just charred remains, except for one…
One Tree, lives beautiful, it is located on a small patch of land inside the Acid Lake. It’s a beautiful healthy, Cherry Blossom.
It is said whoever attacks the last tree here, will suffer great pain.

CT, Asayake, there's some advice I think I better tell you two girls.

In a tag team battle where there are more than two people battling, I don't believe it's possible to make it so that it's two people against one (with the single person on one side using two Pokemon, and the other two on the opposite side using one each). Reason is, if the person with the two Pokemon wins, they would get 4 points AFAIK, and the two defeated people on the other side would probably have to split the two points they got for losing (that's just my assumption, as even though I've had plenty of tag team battles in my old days here, I haven't had one yet since returning to ASB). In other words, if you two are going to battle together, you should have two opponents with one Pokemon each, and not one opponent using two Pokemon. That way, things won't be unfair for whoever wins or loses the battle.

EDIT: One more thing, how dangerous do you want the acid to be CT? If we're talking realistic terms, then contact with acid could be corrosive/fatal to any Pokemon. If in battle terms, we could let it deal fire/poison damage and send the Pokemon flying a la SSB(M). Any suggestions?

O.o; The acid in my mind (go figure with the title of the arena) isn't fatal, and far from poisoness. Its much like Shadow Rush, and has no specific type. It deals about 5 - 7% damage, and if the pokemon gets that close, then yes, they could go flying.

Whoops...sorry everyone?

Before the battle...

What kind of bizarro world did this silly topic creator make up? O_o; Jet black earth and soil engulf the land, with jagged rock piercings haphazardly struck out all over. Meanacing steam escape from the cracks, laying the foundations for treacherous geysers, ready to gush at the least oppritune moment. Where the earth ends, a horrific bath of acidic chemicals begins, with its green liquids hissing hungrily, starving for victims to taste its corrosive flavors. The only salvation to Death's (or in this case, Crystal Tears') paradise is a precious yet steadfast cherry blossom that still thrives even in the heart of ruin.

Now, after much stalling from yours truly, each side calls out their Pokemon. From the RPG corner, Crystal Tears and Asayake call out Yuki the shiny female Girafarig and Fleeinfara the female Eevee respectively. From the 1337 corner, we have Yero Thropp and TheBlueAvenger sending out Shelly the male Kabuto and Numeron the male Exeggutor. Lets kick off this show provided this bizzaro land doesn't kill us first. *hides*

~Shelly the Kabuto faces towards Yuki the Girafarig, his fervor compels him to hallucinate the thoughts of Yuki - only to be replaced with laughter? Fleefinara the Eevee was already on top of Shelly, licking, snuggling or just otherwise titillating Shelly from effectively doing anything. Numeron cringes with apprehension upon his teammate as he splits into five more image clones. Yuki's eyes glowed with a red-purplish hue as she targetted Numeron, immediately spotting the real Numeron through his mirages.

Fleefinara continued fidgeting with Shelly, causing the Kabuto to roar with mirths of laughter as he twitched and rolled all over the field and right underneath a sizzling acid gesyer. The gesyer exploded instanteously, sending Shelly flying into the air and landing back down on the hard ground. The Kabuto wasn't laughing anymore as the shot brought him out of his europhia and back to his senses. Numeron shot several seeds towards Yuki, where the Girafarig caught them all with her Psychic grasp and safely despoited them in the acid wastes.

Shelly thickened his body to prime himself for the latter blows ahead (as well as protecting himself from further tickling :p), yet soon grew forlorn as nothing approached him. Numeron, who was getting fustrated, summoned several large rocks, pulling one nearby from each image. The Exeggutor threw the rocks at Fleefinara, hoping for a direct hit at last - only to completely miss as the Eevee vanished in a split-second and to reappear next to her companion, Yuki. The Girafarig gathered several toxic wastes and spat a mouthful towards Numeron. He sighed with the reassurance that the attack would miss - that is until he caught a huge mouthful in all three of his heads.~

Fleeinfara, since your so close to Yuki I want you to jump on her back and aiming around her, use[font=garamond] Shadow Ball. However should an attack come toward the two of you, I want you to use Protect. Make sure it is around the both of you, should be easier since your so close together. Then I want you to use Shadow Ball or hang on for dear life and don't let go! Yes, uh then use Shadow Ball or Protect again. All Shadow Ball's are aimed at Shelly. Now in case the first move counts as two (up to ref) here is the sub:

Fleeinfara, I want you to use Protect. Make sure it is around the both you and Yuki, should be easier since your close together. Then I want you to jump onto Yuki's back and maybe hang on for dear life. Then use Shadow Ball or Protect around you both again. All Shadow Ball's are aimed at Shelly.

Apologies for your wait, my internet connection sucks and I haven't been able to even speak to my partner until today. Well, here goes.

By the way, Crystal and Asa- you two are tough beans. I'm enjoying this battle :biggrin:.



Shelly, use a well-aimed Swift attack to cut through Eevee's Shadowball, and continue forward to hit Girafarig's legs. We need her to trip so she doesn't use Earthquake. If you can't stop both the Shadowball and the Earthquake in one Swift, then aim directly for Girafarig's legs.

Next, it's possible that two balls of shadow are coming your way; so, Dig underground and crawl straight towards them. Get right beneath Girafarig, and before she can use a second Earthquake, fire an Ice Beam from underground straight up into Girafarig's belly.

~Oh geez, Yuki, my music isn't that danceable, but anyways...she's go ahead and proceeds to dance dance dance up the whole show. Fleefinara gets flustered*, yet she clicks on instict and buffers herself for what's to come with a force field. Shelly and Numeron however are perplexed by this rather eccentric show of techniques. Shelly the Kabuto fires off an arc of energy stars towards the Girafarig's legs, causing her to reel and stumble from the blow, as well as leaving fresh cuts all over her legs. On cue, the Exeggutor fires off toxic wastes of his own towards the Eevee, but as her force shield is already up, the toxins get nullified and sizzled out. Soon all of a sudden, the already fragile environment comes to life, as it too blasts with a rhytmic clash of searing acid and surges all over the place. Fleefinara is luckily protected by her shield, stopping whatever maladies have been brought forth by this rather unorthodox manuever. Numeron and Shelly aren't nearly as lucky however as they end up being sprayed on from fresh acid geysers and relentlessly tossed around my the ruthless earth.

Fleefinara then hops ontop of Yuki's back, while the Girafarig is charges up and sends off her trademark...ORB OF DARKNASS(TM)! rofl Shelly reacts hastily and drives into the fragile wasteland and into the ground as the orb whizzes past his head and slams into the acid lake before him, causing the struck part of the lake to spike up in an explosion. In sucession, Numeron delievers a blinding flash upon Yuki and Fleefinara, making them awry and dizzy.

With her focus disrupted, Yuki starts stamping and jumping on the ground in an erratic fashion, with little rhythm or apatitude. Likewise, Fleefinara struggles to remain her composure while charging up shadow plasma and ends up tumbling over. Her significantly weaker shot misfires and lands a good meter away. Now three of the combatants - Fleefinara, Numeron, and Shelly - fall victim to the anger of the land, the latter very much so as he gets buried alive three-quarters of the path - only to get shot up in the skies once again due to the proactive acid geysers. Although unable to pull off his original tactic, the Kabuto still fires off a crystalline beam, hitting the Girafarig on for solid damage. Numeron finally shakes himself off and fills his body with restorative aloes, herbs, and other natural bodily cures and sucessfully disposes of the toxic wastes in his body.

Meanwhile, the Sakura in the heart of this bizarro wasteland is showing signs of acid wear and uproot...~

-Try not to throw so many subs in one setting. I had trouble interpeting that chain of events, so I had to take a while to fully understand the setup. If I had trouble with that, then its most likely your own pogey will too in the heat of battle.

Okay Shelly, the first thing you're going to do is climb up on top of Eggecutor. Next, curl up in a little ball and use Protect to create a solid shield around your little body. Finally, whip up a nice Sandstorm around yourself, careful not to let it get too big to reach Eggecutor (Eggecutor is launching Shelly away for his second attack.)

If by some chance Shelly fails to climb on top of Eggecutor for his first attack, a change of plans is in order.

If climbing fails, use Ice Beam on the ground behind you to fire yourself towards Girafarig, aiming for her legs. End with the same last move I had before, Sandstorm, sticking to the same guidelines as I mentioned earlier.

Mkay, Numeron, first, fire a wide Confusion at our foes to scramble their brains a little. Then, after Shelly's climbed up, use Barrage to send him flying at our foes. Finally, use a Curse to increase your durability.

However, should Shelly fail to climb up for some reason, use a Refresh to cure your burns.

~Shelly scuttled towards his leafy partner Numeron and started climbing all the way to the top. He climbs, climbs, and keeps on climbing - wait, why does the distance seem unusually long all of a sudden?

...

...Shelly must have climbed a little too high up in the air! No, its Yuki the Girafarig who caught him in her Psychic grasp! Despite the irriation in her eyes, she was able to get a good lock on her opponent's outline and sucessfully caught him before he would be able to do much else. Now she jovially bounces him up and down on the grainy surface while Fleefinara leaps ontop of Numeron and starts licking, snuggling, or just otherwise tickling the Exeggutor to no end. Numeron loses his focus and ends up misfiring his Confusion attack off a nearby large crystal shard, reducing it to rubble. Yuki finally finally finished her attack, throwing the Kabuto aside as well as leaving him with a ringing headache.

Fleefinara called to the skies for rain, and rain indeed came, as it washed all over the field, including cleaning out any excess residue from the Cherry Blossom plant. In coordination with her partner, Yuki generated and shot up a violent streak of lightning into the air, as it came crashing back down upon Shelly, striking and damaging him immensely. After suffering from waves upon waves of electricity, Shelly fell over and panted from the profuse health loss. Despite this, he fired an Ice Beam beneath his monster, propelling him towards his opponents Yuki and Fleefinara. Numeron filled his body with restorative energies once more, throughly removing any trace of acid burns from his body.

With both of his opponents right nearby, it is the perfect oppritunity for the shellfish. He spins around and around, producing waves of harsh sand and dust. Thanks to the rain however, this sand and dust is now slimy mud and earth being tossed around and around. Fleefinara tries to relax herself, but can't help herself getting caught and trapped in this growing mudstorm. Yuki fires off a Thunder in desperation, but the excess mud cause the attack to misfire off a good distance from the battle. Numeron, who is seperated from all this mess, stands by as she sways calmly back and forth, increasing his physical stability at the cost of his speed.~

Shelly, let Eevee hit you with the Iron Tail so that you are moved away from her; we don't want to be close to our opponents anymore. Once you've successfully been hit, freeze the downpour of rain around you with Blizzard to mix with the Sandstorm.

The next attacks that are coming are two Shadow Ball's. You are covered in mud, and possibly some snow; odds are, you're very difficult to see, and you're small (hard to hit) anyway... but let's make it even HARDER. Fire the most powerful Confuse Ray you can summon in the diameter of the Sandstorm. We are beyond caring about fatigue now, Shelly, so concentrate hard so that Confuse Ray is powerful and accurate.

Finally, use another chunk of fatigue to summon the largest Rock Tomb around the Blizzard/Sandstorm hell you have created.

~After an overdone haitus, Chris Watarimono - offical ASB DJ - comes back in flair and style! :p Trapped in the horrific Sandstorm mess created by none other than Shelly, Yuki zips out using Agility, taking extra care to avoid any hazards obstructing her way. She arrives safely behind a rock, free from the bastion of rain and mud. Fleefinara isn't so lucky as she struggles to see with the rain and muck obstructing her. After a good while, her tail glows with Steel energies and aims for Shelly the Kabuto, or at least some sign of him. She swipes and scrapes the shellfish for medium damage, which only suceeds in pushing him further from the Sandstorm rather than out. In a suicide manuever, Shelly delivers a blistering stream of extreme cold into the sandstorm rain mess, causing the rain droplets to become jagged ice shards, smashing into both Shelly and Fleefinara. With Yuki in clear sight, Numeron fires a flurry of tiny egg bombs from the tip of his head, pelting the Girafarig three times for good damage.

Despite the blows suffered previously from Exeggutor, Yuki stands by hoping to get some of her wind back. Numeron takes advantage of Yuki's inertia and laces her with his Psychic grasp. He attempts to drag her into the Sandstorm again, but struggles due to Yuki's similar Psychic readings emacipating from her monster. He only ends up dragging Girafarig only a quarter distance towards the frost sandstorm, which is less than adequate for the team's gameplan. Nevertheless, Kabuto pulls off another suicide manuever and directs another attack in the eye of the storm. He flashes a curious light of hallucinatic energy, striking both Shelly and Fleefinara with confusion. With just one more factor to muddle Eevee's thoughts, she ends up wracking her brain and smacks herself with her tail.

Yuki takes another break and regains more stamina. Numeron uses Psychic again and attempts to pull her into the storm one more time, and it still doesn't make the mark, pushing her a little more than halfway towards the storm. Back at the storm, both Shelly and Fleefinara struggle with their respective jumbled mindsets trying to decipher their orders. Shelly, the more naturally adapted to the weather conditions, takes the initative, but struggles all the same with his commands. Is it Rock Tomb? Or maybe Water Gun? No! It's Slash! Shelly lunges forward at Eevee a heavy swipe. With Kabuto coming straight at him, she too decipers her commands, figuring out which one would be most effective. This costs her, as he lays a thick wound on Fleefinara's chest, causing her to bleed. As she struggles to her feet, she feels that Secret Power was her trainer's order, and she shoots one out at Shelly. Having a harder time to see, her attack again ends up scraping Shelly rather than hitting him directly.~
