Vermillion It's a good reffing, and it does show some improvement. The one thing that you've done, and that will stop you rising any further is that you've not checked a pokedex. Since Spinda cannot learn Bulk Up, and you've allowed it to anyway, this would usually count against you. It's aceptable for a rookie to make this mistake, but as an Intermediate it counts against you. I have no other objections to moving you up a rank, so you go to Intermediate

drew Oh drewy drewy drew drew.. *cough* You've definitely improved comparing this to some of your older reffings. The energy bars are much easier to read when put like this, rather than reflecting each other, so that's a major plus, while adding how much damage each attack has done in the main text is a great addition. I'd like to put you up to Master Ref. But before I do that, I think Chris2.0 should have his say too, since it is the highest Ref Rank available, and a promotion to it shouldn't be taken lightly. Sure you understand.

Diver Dan and Tentacruel [M]:
"Use a rapid spin to start! Then release a bubblebeam all around, and end by shooting an aurora beam straight upwards!"

After hearing his orders, the Tentacruel quickly sinks below the surface of the crystalline water, his many tentacles twitching freely. The jellyfish’s head tilted slightly to the left, gathering his strength, before whirling quickly in a clockwise motion, around and around. Keeping his eyes shut so not to become the dizzy, the Tentacruel lifts his head slight and opens his mouth, unleashing a stream of blue-green bubbles which float into the air. As his spinning begins to slow, the jellyfish floats flat on his back and fires a rippling beam of energy high into the air. The array of colors refract off of the colored bubbles, dazzling the audience.

Beauty Orico and Feebas [M]:
"Surround yourself in mirror coat, then use flail to launch yourself out of the water! Then fire a dragonbreath down onto the water."

A plump-looking Feebas is released into the pool is next, looking a little green around the gills. It’s unknown if that coloration is because he has to follow after the Tentacruel…or if Feebas always look that way. Urged on by his trainer, the ragged-looking fish’s scales suddenly brighten, reflecting the slight light gleaming on them. Next, the Feebas flails and thrashes about, creating a flickering light display. Unfortunately, it is rather unimpressive under water. To end the appeal, the Feebas suddenlt bursts upward from the water, droplets of water flashing in the air, and exhales emerald flame on the surface of the water below. As the Feebas dives into the water, it seems as if he has disappeared beneath the dragon-fire.

Rating: 5.5

DragonTamer Zane and Kingdra [F]:
"Use Dragon Dance and Agility to speed around the pool! When you're charged up, unleash an octazooka!"

Next comes a majestic looking Kingdra. With a knowing expression on her face, she begins her appeal, and it’s plain to see that she has some experience. She darts around the pool at a high speed, creating ripples in her wake, before flitting to the surface. With careful aim, she fires a large sphere of ink, which explodes directly over the pool. A rain of ink pours down into the pool, unfortunately, it also flies into the crowd, covering one of the judge’s faces with the sticky liquid.
Rating: 6.8

Lass Evelyn and Squirtle [M]:
"Use rapid spin to whirl around, then use skull bash while in your shell to smash up a boulder! Finish by using mega punch in the water!"

Last but not least comes a small Squirtle. He may not be as evolved as the rest of the candidates, but he makes up for it in spirit. To begin with, he quickly withdraws into his shell and spins around quickly. Unlike the Tentacruel, however, Squirtle is much smaller, and creates a miniature whirlpool in his rotation. The underwater tornado costs him valuable time, and it takes the Squirtle a bit longer to leap out of the air and crash into one of the overlooking boulders. As he descends, the tiny turtle pops out of his shell and unleashes a Mega Punch on the surface of the water, creating a huge splash.

Wow...thank you. I will pay closer attention to pokedex entries, actully I did check Girafarig for Magic Coat...Bulk Up seemed possible. I will be active everyday, and make time for my resondsibilities.

Ace: I'll say Beginner Judge. It was an avarage entry, but what irked me was that Feebas was told to use flail to leap out the water (think about how salmon propel themselves up streams) and yet it was used underwater, only for Feebas to then "jump" out the water to use dragonbreath. Anyway it was good in other places so congratulations.

After four rounds of intense battling, neither combatant had suffered much damage. Now Rofflecopter and Lollerskates enter their fifth-round face off. Both of the Girafarig’s heads wobble in a disoriented daze while the Spinda wasn’t faring well either with a splitting headache. Meanwhile, the audience munches on popcorn and cotton candy, waiting for the Pokemon to execute their first attacks.

Rofflecopter closed his eyes and focused inward as mental sparks shimmer and flare within his mind. Seconds later, the giraffe has not only extinguished the haze of confusion, but has also gained a sharper grasp on his psychic powers. Lollerskates was told to perform her own power-up move in the form of Bulk Up. Ignoring her throbbing head, the Spinda flexes her stubby arms only to discover that such a move was impossible to perform for her species. Lollerskates scratches her head in embarrassment, cursing inwardly at her trainer.

The Girafarig’s second head grins widely, knowing that his opponent has just wasted a turn. Suddenly, Rofflecopter plants his hooves on the ground as glowing sparks crackle between his horns. Lollerskates runs toward her opponent as fast as her little legs could carry. She leaps spread-eagle into the air as a split-second later, an arc of lightning fires forward and strikes her directly in the chest. For a moment it seems the Spinda is suspended in midair with a shimmering electric current coursing through her body. Finally the attack knocks the little panda backwards onto the dusty circus floor. Lollerskates gets up with a clearly frustrated expression. None of her attacks this round are working!

If she can’t power up and can’t attack directly, she might as well attack with a status move. Lollerskates’s swirly eyes spin rapidly as subtle psychic waves ripple through the air towards Rofflecopter. The giraffe smirks as he has the perfect counter for such a technique. A shimmering purple veil shrouds his body, causing the sleep-inducing waves to bounce right back toward their user. Lollerskates stares in astonishment as she gets a taste of her own medicine and quickly falls into a deep sleep.

Rofflecopter’s two heads smile at each other after not having taken any damage for the entire round. Just then, something in the air catches his eye. A glowing orb appears out of no where and shoots down toward the sleeping Spinda. Of course, thought the Girafarig, it’s the Future Sight attack! The psychic blast hits and fades away. Lollerskates twitches but is still caught in a deep slumber.

I'm not sure where to post this, but I guess I'll ask here. When reffing Ghost attacks, do they, or do they not have any effect on Normal-type pokemon? Same goes, do Psychic attacks have any effect on Dark-type Pokemon??

aragornbird - The Stats text is abit too small and difficult to read. But otherwise a good match. Approved as a Rookie.

Hyperness - Psychic attacks most definatly don't work on Dark types. As for ghost on Normal, I think some people have reffed it in the past as working, but most go by the game and say that they do not.

here's a question(again I don't know where this is really supposed to go...):

If a Ghost type pokemon uses a Normal type attack/Fighting type attack on another Ghost Pokemon, will it be able to harm the other? Normally these attacks shouldn't hurt Ghosts BUT they're both ghosts..so technically they should be able to touch each other right and harm each other right?

(sorry for being such a bother, I've been asking too many questions lately)
