MLG vs. HIAGT (Ref: DT) [Highschool Arena Challenge]

Number of pokemon: 1
DQ: One week
Banned moves: Recovery moves, cheap moves (Destiny bond), explosion, selfdestruct, substitute and toxic (for it's a one on one)
Arena:

MLG’ State Highschool.

A typical highschool. It has a large building complex with a variety on different classrooms, a great stone terrain, a comfortable grassy area with trees (also reffered as the ‘Schools Garden’), a basement that has soft sofa’s, it’s very dark in there though and a big fountain in the middle of the stone terrain. The rooftop of the entire complex is flat so suitable for battle, only reachable if you have a Flying pokemon or a pokemon that has the Teleport ability. The various classrooms all have their pros and cons:

Videoroom: All seats are spread to the back, rather open classroom ideal for close combat.

Chemistry room: Dangerous. Crowded with seats and a lab. Touching the chemical tubes and potions will resolve into a -5 HP loss. Touching the Ether on the end of the classroom, ontop of the high closet will result into a +5 Energy raise. Poison type moves get a +2 Attackpower boost. (Read: Not the pokemon, but the move.)

Aula/Theater: Big room with lots of seats. A typical aula, nothing special.

Basement: Rather open terrain, very dark and creepy. Dark and Ghost pokemon are advantidge here.

Rooftop: Flat and empty. Flying and Dragon pokemon get a boost up here. Falling off results in a -12 HP loss. (It is high, remember)

Moisty Forest: The schools forest, it is located one mile from the grassy area. Creepy place, the forest is not kept tidy by the janitor. Bug and Grass pokemon get a boost.

Gym: Wide open space. Fighting pokemon get a boost. It has various gym equipment that can be used to power up attack. (+1 attackboost)

Kitchen: The schoolkitchen. A dangerous place, without you expecting it. It has knifes, hot plates, all kinds of things to throw. Fire pokemon get a boost.

Circuitroom: A room that no-one is allowed in. How to get in, no one knows. Electric and steel pokemon get a boost in here.

Stone-courtyard: Comparable to the indigo stadium. Just a plain battle terrain, out of stone. The pond in the center gives water pokemon a boost and they regain health in it. (+2 HP)

All battles start on the right side of the fountain, on the stone floor.

However, if she attempts at any time to Teleport away, Screech to distract her. If she uses Amnesia to make you forget attacks, substitute whatever attack that is with Mega Punch

Prebattle

Class, today we shall see another battle, here at MLG’s Highschool, said the teacher.

Yes, sir… groaned everyone else. Another match, with founder of the school, MLG VS a challenger.

And today, we have Hyperness is a Good Thing as the challenger, which hails from the country of Malaysia. The ref acknowledges the fact that she lives in the same country as he is, but the battle is the first priority. Quickly, both opponents were ushered to the stone floor, right beside a fountain.

MLG released a female Slowbro, Athene, while HiaGT released a male Cronocaw, Chaucer.

Both Pokemon tensed, ready to launch their attacks.

Round One~ Begin!

Chaucer quickly rushed towards Athene and sunk his teeth towards her skin. She gasped from the surprise attack, receiving light damage (5% damage). The damage would have been greater, if only Athene didn’t use Double Team after the bite, causing the startled Chaucer to let go of his bite on her.

Then Chaucer began to taunt Athene. But not long, he found himself zapped by Athene’s Thunderwave, doing him some damage (7% damage). Not only that, but her whole body was paralysed by the attack.

Although a bit angry from the Swagger, Athene complied with her trainer order and began to calm her mind…

Meanwhile, Chaucer got up and tried to attack one of the meditating Athenes. Due to pure luck, she managed to clamp into Athene’s head (6% damage), and caused her clones to disappear. However, he was still paralyzed, and it seems that he is unwilling to let go off Athene.

Ok, first use Headbutt to bounce him off, then quicly teleport right after, up to the roof and finish with a Psychic attack and make him suffer

ROTFL! KL is oklah, but not really the best of Too Phat's songs. ^_^ It gets a leeetle bit irritating after a while.

Before Athene can knock you off, Mega Punch her, and hopefully knock her silly. Heh. Then, When she's trying to teleport, Screech to distract her. Use Facade for your last attack if she's still on the roof, if she isn't use your last turn to go look for her if you can. If you're too paralysed to move, just relax then.

Round Two~ Begin!

As Chaucer was still stuck on Athene’s head, the Slowbro lowered her head and tried to perform a head butt, with Chaucer still on her. Unfortunately for her, Chaucer recovered a bit from the paralysis and quickly punched below her jaws, doing some nifty damage (10% damage). However, Athene had managed to headbutt her to the ground, also doing some nifty damage (7% damage).

Athene then recovered from the pain of the punch and tried to focus her inner energy to perform a Teleport. Chaucer, knowing what her plan is, quickly let loose a loud ear-piercing noise, instantly breaking Athene’s concentration on teleporting herself.

Angered that her plan failed, she focused her inner power again and launched a powerful psychic assault on Chaucer mind, causing the Cronocaw to hit a nearby wall (10% damage). Chaucer, angry, plus that the effect of paralysis was still on him, rushed forward the calm, or some would say dopey, Slowbro, giving her a barrage of rage-induced attack, powered up by the paralysis (10% damage).

Should she attempt to Teleport, Screech as usual, if she uses Amnesia to make you forget screech, then Swagger to irritate her. If she tries Hypnosis, use Sleep talk for as long as you're asleep.
As usual, if her teleport succeeds, do go look for her. =)

Round Three~ Begin!

Packed with information for the counter to every possible move that Athene might use, Chaucer waited for Athene to take action. Unexpectedly, she used Double Team to surround Chaucer.

Faced with the unexpected turns, Chaucer took a wild shot towards the clones with a Slash attack, but she passed through one of the Athene instead of damaging it. A clone, it seems.

Chaucer glared intensely for the sign of the real Athene. It was hard to tell, as they were similar to each other. Plus, the shadow of the building covered for any sign of the fake and real Athene(s).

ZAP! Chaucer was struck by a blast of fat and wobbly electric ball (12% damage). He staggered from the attack, and sound found paralysis taking over him. He stumbled back and forward, and with a loud “thud”, crashed his body towards one of the Athenes. This time, he was met with the touch of flesh. Athene groaned, as she was pinned under the weight of Chaucer (8% damage).

Thanks to the paralysis, Chaucer was motionless. The normally dopey-faced Slowbro turned into a focused expression, as she summons in her fighting energy for the ultimate attack. When her energy collecting level had reached to its peak, the punch was released towards Chaucer face, causing her to be thrown off from Athene (12% damage). But before he was thrown away, he had managed to bite Athene’s dominant hand, causing some light damage (5% damage). Chaucer rested himself upon a wall, using it as a support to bring himself up.

First use a Yawn at Chaucer, follow it up with Teleport to the roof and finish with Dream eater, if however Yawn failed use Body slam on the second turn and Zap Cannon on the third.

Chaucer, just turn your back and ignore Athene and relax when she yawns, don't look at her, follow up immediately with a Swagger, hopefully she'll try to attack you physically instead of Teleporting away(if she uses body slam anyways, then it doesn't matter), and before she can use Zap cannon, Double Team and confuse her with your clones.
Should Yawn work, use Sleep Talk
Should she succeed in teleporting away, just spend one turn looking for her.
If you're too paralysed to move at anytime, relax.

Round Four~ Begin!

Athene, still recovering from the bite on his hand, lazily sat down on his butt. Her mouth was then turned into a huge opening, which seems to be enough to engulf a Rattata in. She then closed her mouth, and then opened them again, and closed it again… She’s yawning!

Unfortunately for her, Chaucer’s back was turned towards her, meaning that he was paying no attention to the yawning. Chaucer took a deep breath, and by doing so, reduce the effect of paralysis for a bit while restoring some lost energy.

Athene, peeved that her attack had not worked was then given a series of psychical and verbal taunts from Chaucer, further increasing her anger. She ran quickly towards Chaucer with what her large feature could carry herm and gave a powerful Body Slam (9% damage).

After thinking that she had done enough, Athene began to once more produce upon the fat and wobbly electric ball. But as soon as the energy collecting was complete, she was faced with 5 Chaucer; the real one camouflaged with his clones.

Still feeling angry for the last Swagger, Athene fired the lightning ball towards one of the Chaucers. It went through the Chaucer, dissipating it into nothingness. Clones.

If she tries to teleport, Screech her and break her concentration. If she succeeds in teleporting away, spend one turn looking for her.
If you're put to sleep, sleep talk for as long as you're sleeping.

As he comes at you with a bite, just Zap Cannon her, doing great great damage. Then followed up by jumping into the pond on the stone court yard, firing off another Zap Cannon, when she comes at you with Body Slam. Finish with another Zap cannon.

Round Five ~ Begin!

The group of Chaucers got closer to Athene, teeth bared. Athene produced a Zap Cannon inside her mouth, and just as Chaucer was near biting range, she fired the electric energy towards Chaucer (12% damage), immediately causing paralysis. Chaucer staggered, but not before delivering a nasty bite to Athene (7% damage).

Athene quickly jumped into a pond on the stone courtyard, out of the reach from Chaucer. She stood there with a blank look, but at the same time, she began to produce another Zap Cannon in her mouth. Expecting a Body Slam, she was greeted with a barrage of physical attack; a Façade, powered up with the paralysis (10% damage). Athene staggered due to the unexpected attack, but she fired off the Zap Cannon towards Chaucer anyway (12% damage).

Chaucer quickly retaliated with Bite (7% damage), but while he still clung on Athene, she began to produce yet another Zap Cannon. The attack hit right towards Chaucer, sending the wave of electricity through her (12% damage).

Both Pokemon then dropped on their knees, tired and hurt badly.

Um... yeah? I don't know, Zap Cannon does cause a lot of damage, except of its crappy accuracy. Plus, Chaucer is a water type.

lol, are we doing without damage caps? Nvm dt, but I think for ASB, damage dealt for effective attacks is about at most 5-7% more only, but it's ok.. haha we can end this fast. *thumbs up for your reffing*
