Ill go for this one. Just needs a ref.
I've got a new slot free, and I want to test this ring out, as well as get some exp for some of my Pokes. So, anyone can challenge me, and I don't care if you bring evo's or not, so long as you're someone I haven't fought before. Terms:
DQ: 1 week
Match: 4 Pokemon each, 2 out at a time. We PM our choices to ref, who then gives us the lineup.
Banned Moves: Cheap moves (you know the like), Recovery moves, Toxic.
Arena: The Ring.
Picture your standard boxing ring, surrounded by thousands of cheering fans, and substitute the boxers for your Pokemon. The ring has been enlarged to accommodate for Pokemon of any size, but purely aquatic Pokemon should not be used, as no tank of water will be available. Weather moves are ineffective. The main difference between this ring and any other ring used in an arena, is the presence of the crowd. The crowd loves good fight, and their mood has a direct impact on the fighters. A pokemon with the crowd on their side will deal more damage and take less fatigue, emboldened by their support. However, the crowd is fickle by nature and changes allegiances at a drop of a hat.
There a few things that will always get them angry, though.
-Relaxing. A good fight doesn't leave both parties a rest break, and the crowd expects the same here. Relaxing is not encouraged (though, it might be better if the ref was lenient on energy cost.)
-Repetitive moves. Mix it up- the crowd loves change.
A few things that can get the crowd on your side.
-Bragging. Taunt/Swagger/Torment type moves that play to the crowd may cause the audience to switch sides. However, don't do it too much- nobody likes a braggart.
-Combos. Successful combos, not the ones that deal highest damage, can get the crowd's attention.
All up to the ref's imagination. Any takers?

I'm hardly new, I've just been inactive for...a year or so.
EDIT: The first four pokemon have been confirmed.
The crowd has become antsy... cacophonous echoes of foot stomps reverberated through the huge arena. Two trainers walked towards the boxing ring in the center, but they did not enter. Instead, as the crowd erupted with a roar of applause, they let loose two pokeballs each. After the blinding flash had cleared, on one side stood a female Spoink and a real champion of these situations, a male Tyrogue. Facing off against them in the other corner were an armor-plated Aron that seemed anxious for battle, and floating above it all, a ball of purple haze.
Ace 64:
Slinky (Spoink [F])
Fisticuffs (Tyrogue [M])
Ultimate Charizard:
Aron [M]
Gastly [F]
EDIT2: I chose who would start the match based on what you guys told me in PM. That means that, as opposed to being randomized, whenever a pokemon is KO'ed, their trainer gets to decide who replaces it. Since you didn't say anything, though, I had to randomize the order of attacks. For this round, Ace64 will be posting moves first and Ultimate Charizard second. Every round after that, the order alternates.
Fine with me. And yeah, I think I've seen you in the archives..
Ok Slinky, you're first. Go for a Psychic on that Gastly, then two Shadow Balls.
Psychic (Gastly)~Shadow Ball x 2(Gastly)
Subs: If he tries using Hypnosis on you or your partner, use Magic Coat to send it back at him.
Fisticuffs, your first battle (kind of.) Let's make a dent in that Aron's hide. Bulk Up, then Brick Break, aim for the eyes. Follow up with a Mach Punch.

Ok Aron this is your first fight and i know your Defence is more than capable of going toe to toe with a Tyrogue but rather than a straight slugging match lets go for a type advantage.
Start out with Aerial Ace and follow quickly on it with a Shockwave. End the Round with Iron Defence.
As for you Gastly go for a Confuse Ray on Spoink and follow that with a Shadowball! Close the round by using Will-o-Wisp, again on Spoink.

Gastly - Confuse Ray - Shadowball - Wil-o-wisp (all on Spoink)

FIGHT!
The combatants faced off for their first round of moves... Gastly opened things up with a bright flash of mysterious light, and Spoink's mind was immediately gone, spinning endlessly in some sort of acid-trip full of bright colors and constantly changing shapes. No way was she going to be able to render the kind of mental assault her trainer had ordered. Aron leapt into the air as Fisticuffs broke open a small bottle and ingested what looked to be a steroid pill, growing larger almost instantly as his assailant came flying at him from above moments later.
A bolt of lightning crossed the ring, momentarily freezing the larger Tyrogue in his path before he struck out a powerful karate-chop blow and cracked Aron right across the back of the head. Ouch. Spoink struggled again with her own mind, this time trying to call out an orb of dark spirits but only managed a little bit of smoke as Gastly's own anti-matter ball collided with her in an explosion of darkness.
This time, Spoink was successful... flashes of fiery light and shadowy darkness fought for superiority as Gastly lashed out with a tongue of flame and Slinky retaliated with another etherial orb. Through it all, Aron had apparently sprouted a suit of armor and Tyrogue was now nursing his hand that he had apparently struck upon it.
End of round stats:
Slinky (Spoink [F]): 80%, burned, fatigue (6%)
Fisticuffs (Tyrogue [M]) 85%, on steroids, fatigue (12%)

Gastly [F]: 88%, fatigue (9%)

Ok Good work so far now lets Mix it up.
Aron, go after Spoink this time with a Headbutt and follow right in with a Bodyslam. End the round with an Earthquake. Its handy that your ally is in the air.
Speaking of which, Gastly, start with a Psywave on Tyrogue before going for a Hypnosis attack. If it worked use Shadowball on Spoink, if not, Confuse Ray on Tyrogue.

It's no problem. Yes, it applies to all recovery moves, because I wouldn't want a 4 on 4 dragging on forever, like a few of my other matches.
Mixing it up was just what I had in mind. Fisticuffs, keep that Aron from hurting your partner! Seismic Toss him away, with your strength it should be easy. Next, step in front of that Body slam and Counter it. Finally, close your eyes to dodge the Confuse Ray and use Swift.

Slinky, we're going to do a lot of interception here. While Fist is taking care of your opponent, use Calm Mind to get rid of that confusion. FIGHT!
Slinky blinked away whatever lingering ghosts of confusion still inhabited her mind; she would be completely and utterly focused for whatever was to come. Perhaps a little too focused, as she did not see Aron charging towards her... not that it mattered, as Tyrogue barely had time to grab him and throw him aside before being blown out of the way himself by a powerful stream of mental energy.
Gastly's eyes glowed blue... things began to grow slowly dim; to move around in weird directions as time seemed to slow down. What? This wasn't supposed to be happening... the ghost never figured out that his own attack was being reflected against him until it was too late, and he drifted off into a deep slumber. A moment later, Aron leapt into the air to land on the unsuspecting Spoink with a rather sickening crunching of bones, but the moment never came as Fisticuffs came flying out of nowhere with a powerful blow that knocked both pokemon to the ground.
Gastly awoke with a jolt to find himself lying flat on the ground, very much vulnerable to the tremors going on around him. In a moment of confusion he got airborne, just in time to fall victim to a blinding flash of light. Disoriented, Aron stopped his assault just long enough to watch a barrage of sharp-tipped stars bounce almost harmlessly off his fortified hide.

FIGHT!
Gastly and Tyrogue erupted into a shouting match... something about a bunch of rude displays and four-letter-words and things about eachothers' mother that I can't repeat here without incurring the wrath of the mods who seem to be pretty damn inactive in every single forum except for this one, just my luck ):. Meanwhile, Aron and Spoink decided to attack from a distance; the latter getting a powerful jet of pressurized water in the face as he slapped Gastly with a psychadelic multicolored beam of LSD. Pissed off and tripping out at the same time... that's definitely not a good combination.
A mental barrage was definitely out of the question; even if Gastly wanted to keep his distance instead of ripping Tyrogue apart, he wouldn't have had the capacity to make good on it. Luckily the little Muhammed Ali felt the same way; he charged at the ghost who just sort of lunged at nothing, and much to his surprise, connected a blow. I guess that's what Gastly got for remaining in the physical state to try and attempt an attack of his own. A horrible shriek* drowned it all out, though, only adding to Gastly's misery. Tyrogue, in his anger, seemed not to care, but Spoink lost concentration long enough for her body to turn a weak shade of steely blue in an attempt to mimic Aron's feat, but then return to its normal, very much vulnerable state.
A blast of pain that seemed to come from nowhere and everywhere at the same time weighed down on Gastly's mind once more, but was abruptly halted by an earthshattering quake; Tyrogue was thrown flat on his ass as he tried to attack once more.

Then, while Aron tries to find mud/dirt in a boxing ring, use Magic Coat to reflect that Hypnosis again. Finally, Bounce into the air, and land on Aron.

Well, as a ref, I generally try to leave things up to the two people battling; if they can think of an ingenious new usage of a move that seems reasonable to me, it's good in my book. As for what Ace is doing, it'd be the same thing as positioning yourself in the way of a Hyper Beam and using Protect so it won't hit your ally.
No worries, he just didnt make that clear in his post. It just says 'Use Magic Coat to reflect hypnosis'. Kinda confused me since i wasnt using Hypnosis on Spoink.

FIGHT!
His mind swam in an endless sea of thoughts... Thunderbolt? Lightning split the sky in his sort of lucid dreaming state, but while he thought he was executing a flawless Thunderbolt, in reality he just shot off a few useless sparks into nothing. That sort of ruined Spoink's plans, but not totally, as she managed to hold Aron aloft in her psychic grip long enough for Fisticuffs to knock him down into the ground hard with a flying jump kick. Hi-yah!
He got back up and clawed the ground... too bad it was hard. Where was Aron supposed to find dirt in an arena such as this? Eventually he gave up as he felt a deadened blow against the back of his head; his ears rung with the shock. Gastly wasn't doing much better, and though consciousness slowly returned, he still seemed in no real condition to send Tyrogue's mind into the same utter abyss his own presently occupied.
He blinked... focus! FOCUS! Come on Gastly, you've got a battle to win here! With a triumphant flash of flame, Tyrogue now sported a painful burn. That wasn't going to stop him from launching his seismic assault, however, but Aron was the only one left on the ground to feel its effects. As he struggled, and utterly failed, to keep his balance, he shot off a few stray bolts of electricity, but they seemed more intent upon hitting the ground and the ceiling high above him than their actual target.

In my reffings, Shockwave can be one of two things - an attack that sends electrically charged particles flying in all directions, damagine everything (and never missing, but this includes teammates). However, since this wouldn't be the smartest thing in 2v2, I ref it as basically a Thunderbolt-type attack there. However, you can use it either way, of course.

Gastly and Slinky stared eachother down... the latter began to stare into the eyes of her opponent a little too long, drifting off into a bit of a daze but realizing what must be done, conjuring up enough of a weak beam of disorientation to break the ghost's hold on her mind long enough not to be forced off into an involuntary slumber. Instead she watched groggily as Tyrogue landed a flying jump kick right between Aron's eyes, but he hardly even blinked as the renewed metallic coat over his body took the brunt of the impact.
Gastly aimed this time at Tyrogue as he attempted to put the fighting pokemon under the same spell... perhaps a little more successful this time as he closed his eyes and snored peacefully. However his piercing headache grew progressively worse; he cried out in anguish as Spoink entered his mind and wreaked havoc; Aron looked on intently, comitting Slinky's every move to memory.
Spoink didn't like him just sitting there like that; she was however blasted with a bright beam of light and fell flat on her face as she tried to do anything about it. A moment later Tyrogue woke up with a shriek, hands covering his head, obviously in pain but with no evident physical damage.

Unfortunately, Fisticuffs felt the effects of neither, surrounding himself with an impenetrable barrier of energy and closing his eyes, meanwhile Spoink focused herself and no longer felt the effects of her mind swimming in a sea of darkness.
Aron lunged into the air while Fisticuffs spent a second or two deciding... wasn't Gastly supposed to be the one attacking him? Oh well, all the ghost seemed to be doing was making a couple clones of herself, while Aron came at him from above, so he'd better be ready. As the iron pokemon landed, Aron was struck hard on the back as he returned the blow in similar fashion. Slinky was equally confused; she had been told that Aron would be the one producing the clones. Whatever, she quickly followed Gastly's lead and created some of her own, although it was too late to physically stop her from producing any.
Tyrogue struck out at Gastly with a powerful tackle, only to slide right through her as Aron beat down on him with his own move. However halfway through he had to stop; it was just getting to be too much for him, although it would have been cut short early had Gastly chosen the right copy of Slinky to blow away with an orb of anti-matter.
End of round stats:
Slinky (Spoink [F]): 40%, burned, 1 clone, confused, fatigue (45%)

Gastly [F]: 42%, 2 clones, fatigue (39%)
Crowd: kind of calm but waiting to explode at something cool
Serious brain-fart. My bad. Thanks for the quick reffing too.
In any case, let's finish Aron off. Fist, use Seismic Toss to throw Aron out of the stands and finish him off. If he's still up, try a Body Slam. If he's out, then close your eyes and Bulk Up. Finish with Thief on Gastly.
Seismic Toss(Aron)~Body Slam(if Aron's still up)/Bulk Up(eyes closed)~Thief(Gastly)
Slink, nice work. Pull the audience into Taunting Gastly, then try Skill Swap to gain Gastly's ethereal abilities, and to make the ghost a bit more solid. Finish with Extrasensory

OK Aron, if your going down, your going down fighting. (so tempted to use explosion lol)
Use Counter against any physical attack that come in and Endure if its enough to faint you. Finish it all off with Earthquake one last time.
Counter/Endure - Counter/Endure - Earthquake
Gastly, lets run some protection. First however, use Psych up. On Aron and Copy its Defence, then use Psych up again on Tyrogue, and copy its Attack boost and go in with a Thunderbolt on Spoink!
Psych up (Aron) - Psych up (Tyrogue) - Thunderbolt (Spoink)

FIGHT!
Aron was nearing the end of his life in this match and he knew it... he focused all his energy into just staying alive, however, as Fisticuffs picked him up and threw him hard into the stands in a rage of fury. Somehow he hung on, just long enough for Gastly to become a little more metallic, and more than a little pissed off. Tyrogue launched himself high into the air, coming down in a fierce blow that finished off the tired Aron before he could even react.
End of round stats:
Slinky (Spoink [F]): 38%, burned, 1 clone, confused, fatigue (47%)
Fisticuffs (Tyrogue [M]) 29%, on steroids, burned, fatigue (70%)

Crowd: extatic at the fight leaving the ring, as well as the match's first knockout
UC replaces Aron and attacks, then Ace attacks
Syb, did u take into account the final attacks of that round? U didnt mention Thunderbolt...or did the round end as soon as he went down?.
Ill replace Aron with Lunatone!
Gastly, start with a Shadowball on Spoink, and then give Tyrogue a Psychic attack. End the round with a Thunder Attack.
Shadowball (spoink) - Psychic (tyrogue) - Thunder (Spoink)
Lunatone, Start the round using Cosmic Power, then Rain Dance to help out Gastly. End things off with a Psychic of your own.

Gaack, Lunatone...but weather moves are useless in here, being inside. Unless, I dunno...you set off the sprinklers..And I think the round ended as soon as Aron was defeated.
Slinky, since Gastly has iron on it, use a Shockwave. The metal should attract the electricity to the true ghost. Next, create a Light Screen for Fist. It should help reflect some of that attack back to Gastly. Finally, it should take some effort to charge electricity, so use Confuse Ray to mess it up.
Shockwave(Gastly)~Light Screen(Fisticuffs)~Confuse Ray(Gastly)
Time to get creative...Fisticuffs, grab Luna and use it in a Rock Slide attack at Gastly.Lunatone is part rock, right?Next,Mimic Psychic and use it on Gastly. If Mimic doesn't take two turns (one to learn it and one to use it), then use Protect against Lunatone.
Rock Slide(Lunatone against Gastly)~Mimic(Gastly)~Mimic(Gastly)/Protect
