Damn you Kalah for giving me such a great idea and dialogue that I couldn’t wait.

[color=pink]~*~*~*~*~ Riding Along ~*~*~*~*~
With the mountains ahead of us, and the town a fading memory, we made our way across the desert landscape that led to the mountain hideaway that held the Earth Seal. My arms clutched Kalah’s waist for security as we rode along, my head continued to turn to look at Tony, and then my eyes would dart away when he would notice that I was looking at him. The memory of him kissing me was still fresh in my memory, now I had to wonder, should I kiss him back? What would happen if I kissed him back? My stomach knotted in worry as I tried to figure out what to do. I was kissing a guy, I mean I am a Guy, how could I kiss another guy? Then again I wasn’t truly a guy anymore, I doubt I would ever be a guy ever again.
I let out a soft sigh and tried to focus on something else, what if Tony and I dated, that meant I could dress up. I wouldn’t have to wear something as bland as a suit, I could wear a dress, and have my hair done up, and even wear make up! “Hey Kalah!” I tapped her shoulder, raising my head up so that I could stick my head over her shoulder. “Hey, do you think I am old enough to wear make-up?” I questioned in giddy excitement of the thought of wearing lipstick and eye shadow.
Kalah slowly raised an eyebrow and shot a look back at me from the corner of my eye. “I don’t think you need to wear make-up.” She said quickly before focusing her gaze back on the trail and guiding her Caligrey.
Disregarding what she said I continued to prod and placed my head up above her shoulder again. “Why not? I mean I just want to dress up! Just if Tony and I were to go some where special.” I explained, dancing around the word date so that she wouldn’t catch on too quick. I mean Tony and I may not even date, then again we might could, we could even live here and get married and all. Maybe even have a baby, I could be a mommy!
Kalah sighed and looked off at Matt before answering, her voice slightly monotonous as if she were in some far away memory or if she were thinking of something else. “Sure, you can dress up and wear whatever you’d like. Just don’t overdo it.” She waved me off, her answer sounding as if it were barely a thought.
My eyes lit up in happiness; as if my mom had given me permission to do something I had always wanted. “Would you help me dress up?” I asked, my voice shaking in excitement that I just couldn’t hold back any longer.
Biting her lip Kalah jerked her head back at me in anger, one hand holding the reigns as the other hand held her pointer finger that jerked at me. “Look…see this?” She asked, her voice filled with annoyance and barely controlled rage, her finger pointing at her eyelids that contained a violet hue with silverfish sparkles. “I just have this, it isn’t make up. Neither is there makeup upon my lips or anything… I just look this way.” Her voice rising and lowering as she spoke.
I began to crouch down in my seat, my lip trembling in fear at the pointer finger that had just been pointed at me. I was so afraid by her tone and actions that she would strike me or scratch me or something. She slowly withdrew a sigh and focused back on the trail again. “So don’t ask me these things, I have no idea.” She whispered through clinched teeth.
The sudden voice of Tony broke through the tense air around Kalah as he rode up on both of us. “Geez! What is all the shouting about, ladies?” Tony asked, his eyes shifting from me with my teary eyes and quivering lip, to Kalah who didn’t even glance at him. “Okay, well we’re almost there, Matt and I are going to go scout ahead.” He told us, he gave one last look at me before slapping the reigns causing the Caligrey to ride off with Matt’s creature.
“Sorry, I-I was just asking because Tony kissed me.” I whispered, finally breaking the silence, my voice was trembling in fear from the whole incident. Kalah was my best friend, why was she acting this way? Why was she so angry?
Kalah jerked her head back to me, her eye twitching in annoyance; I instantly sunk lower in my seat in fear. “Wow Adalia,…a kiss…well you know what I did?” She asked sarcastically, her face twisted in annoyance as she jabbed her pointer finger just inches away from my nose like a teacher lecturing a student. “I went and suck-.” Kalah stopped, as I began to cry as hard as possible, her finger scareing me.
“I’m sorry…Ryan…I’m just not feeling like myself right now.” Kalah apologized slowly, turning around as I cried uncontrollably. I tried to stop, I tried to be a big girl, but my shoulders hurt, everything hurt, and I was so scared of Kalah. After a few minutes she glanced back over at me, a slight look of worry and annoyance on her face. “Here…would you rather ride with someone else?” She asked forgetting that Tony and Matt were already at the seal. I tried to answer, I wanted to answer, but all that would come out was sobs as tears flowed out of my eyes.
“Ryan stop…” She said again, her teeth grating at the sound of me crying. I couldn’t obey her, I wanted to stop crying, but every time I tried to stop, all that would happen was that I would cry harder. “Adalia stop! or I will make you walk the rest of the way!” Kalah wispered, her hands shaking me. I brought my hands away from my eyes, my body shaking uncontrollably in fear.
Kalah’s eyes seemed to unfocus and focus again as she brought a shaky hand up to her mouth, tears began to fill her eyes as she quickly enveloped me into a hug. “No, please don’t hurt me, I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” I screamed, my body shaking as Kalah hugged me as tightly as possible.
“I’m not going to hurt you, I’m so sorry Ryan.” She whispered, tears streaking down her cheeks. She finally pulled her self away and then leaned forwarded and kissed my reddened cheeks. “So..Tony kissed you?” She asked, a slight smile appearing on her tired cheeks.
I nodded in happiness until I saw the seal, my eyes grew wide in horror from the sight of the battle that took place between Tony and Matt and several large rock golems. Kalah turned around slowly just to see Matt go sailing into the air from a massive hit from one of the golems. “Matt!” She screamed yanking the reigns and sending the Caligrey speeding toward the battle as quickly as possible.

[color=black]~*~*~*~*~ Watching ~*~*~*~*~
Events were unfolding differently this time; the chain was different, forged from unique metal not found on these worlds. The others wouldn’t like this; it would interfere with the plan that we had kept in place for the last five hundred years. I floated through the air, watching a group of three men, and one woman as they headed toward the Wind Seal. I may be nothing more than a mere phantom in this world, yet I would still be able to watch, to study. One of the men, one that could see spirits, had me worried. While he nor his spirit had enough power to break the spell that myself and others were placed upon us, one day he may be able to see through the spell.
My reptilian eyes narrowed in annoyance as I followed the four, all of them merry and joyous as if they did not know the truth of the guardians of the wind seal. One glance at the sky would have foretold their destiny, yet none of them ever ventured to look. As happy as schoolgirls they continued on merrily, while their destiny grew larger and larger with each passing moment.
It wasn’t until they were near the seal, till their destiny swooped down, ten Harpies, disgusting women and creatures in their own right. The foul fowls would howl and scratch as they encircled their prey. This would be the first test of the newly forged chain, if they could not withstand the guardians of the Wind seal, then there was nothing to fret about. If they could, then I would continue to observe, for that was all I could do.
