Default Phoenix vs. Kratos [sub-ref needed]

Yeah, uh, so here are mine conditions, ja?

    DQ: 1 week
    Match: 1 on 1
Pokemon: No evolved Pokemon, and preferably no non-evolvers.
Banned Moves: No OHKO or similar moves (eg, no Explosion, no Destiny Bond, no Perish Song, you get the drift), and no Attract. Other than that, knock yourself out. (Please do, as that would mean I win. )

Arena: Uh... the Brooklyn bridge! (No cars, of course, not in the mood to deal with those.) A lovely, long suspension bridge spanning the East River between Brooklyn and Manhattan. There're lots of long cables that you can mess around with, "guide rails" that you may run on or launch attacks from or whatever as you see fit, A whole river for Water-types to duck into... AND, as a bonus, it sways in a disconcerting manner when it's windy! And it will be windy throughout the battle... What fun!

I send out first; my opponent will attack first. Now I just gotta go find an opponent for my darling Cujo...

Well, there you have it! Now, c'mon, who wants some? *starts punching at the air and shadowboxing... and gets her clock cleaned by her own shadow*

Well, well, well. Lookie who I found! I didn't know you were interested in ASB... whatever, Phoenix, I'm takin you down! No one apparently wants to ref my other battle anyway... might as well take this as my second slot. Now... I'm sure that my dear friend and I would greatly appreciate a dedicated ref, non?

O.o That was fast. Sure, Kratos, bring it! Bring it and leave it on the table with all of the other birthday presents RIGHT NOW! Mwhahahaha! I'll send out my Growlithe, Cujo! Sic 'im, boy! Maul the bloody daylights out of him! Mwahahahaha!

...I'm hyper today, in case no one could tell.

Cujo, huh? Fine. Then I shall counter with Chazz the Shiny Charmander! (I can't believe I'm about to say this...) Chazz 'im up, Charmy! I actually said it... I actually said... *hyperventilates into a paper bag*

EDIT: OK, so, I believe we're permitted to begin posting attacks while we wait for reffing, so here goes nothing...

Well, Chazz, it's our first battle and we're going to mop the floor with dumb ol' Cujo! Slash him across the face, and then follow it up with a Dragon Rage. Finally, let's see if his bark really is worse than his bite after you break his jaw with an Iron Tail!

Slash - Dragon Rage - Iron Tail

Now all we be needin' is a ref for the kicking of thine buttocks to begin.

    You do that, pal.

Right, Cujo. No one gets away with calling you dumb! Lift yourself into the air by aiming a Flamethrower into the ground (hit him with it if you can!). Next, curl into a ball and slam back into that annoying little lizard with Flame Wheel! If you nail him, then finish up with a Bite; if, for some unfathomable reason, you happen to miss, then use Protect to keep his nasty tail away from your sexy face.

    Flamethrower/Flame Wheel/Bite (sub: Protect)

I'll do this if you don't mind. If you do mind, ask another ref to redo the first round.

    *Phoenixsong Vs. Kratos*
    O|O

    *Stats*

    Cujo / Growlithe (male)
    Health: IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII (100%)
    Energy: IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII (100%)
    Status: Ready to go.

    Chazz / Charmander (male)
    Health: IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII (100%)
    Energy: IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII (100%)
    Status: Ready to go.

    *Trainer Issued Commands*

    Team Phoenix:

    Flamethrower ~ Flamewheel ~ Bite

    Sub: Protect

    *
    Team Kratos:

    Slash ~ Dragonrage ~ Ember

    *Prebattle*

The Brooklyn bridge. Ah yes. Our contestants face eachother on a bridge, how quainte. Both pokemon stare at eachother as soon as they are released. They both release a whee bit of fire as they keep staring. Attention people, these are fire pokemon, expect a hot, steamed battle!

    *Round One Begins*

The battle starts off as Chazz rushes forwards, getting his claws out and jumping towards Cujo. Cujo listens to his commands and quickly uses a Flamethrower to propel himself in the air, just in time.

Chazz is surprised, confused and annoyed as Cujo comes back down unharmed. Cujo rushes forwards in a fire-curled ball, but Chazz already set up a Dragonrage attack in his mouth firing it off towards the flaming fury. Cujo gets hit right in the face by the ferocious dragon-attack, but manages to fight true, using the fire of his attack, he rushes forwards and smacks down Chazz who whinnes.

Cujo is relieved that his determination payed off and gets ready to finish this round with a Bite attack. He runs fowards and penetrates the lizardskin with his bare fangs. Chazz screams out in pain and releases the collected energy that was hiding in his tail. Aiming for Cujo, Chazz smacks his tail right on his jaw, finishing the deadly Bite attack.

    *Results*

    Cujo / Growlithe (male)
    Health: IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII (88%)
    Energy: IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII (80%)
    Status: Staggered back, hurt jaw.

    Chazz / Charmander (male)
    Health: IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII (89%)
    Energy: IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII (83%)
    Status: Ready to go.

    *Arena*

Brooklyn bridge. A lovely, long suspension bridge spanning the East River between Brooklyn and Manhattan. There are lots of long cables that you can mess around with and a whole river for Water-types to duck into. Today is a rather windy day, so no cars dare to enter the bridge. Perfect for battle.

    *Other Remarks*

    - Go Team!

    You rock, MLG! Thanks, dude!

Darn it, Cujo, he managed to hit you with that Iron Tail anyway. Well, if your jaw hurts then you can take it easy on the offensive stuff for now. Use Protect to shake off whatever Chazz tries to throw at you first; then, when he's still wondering why his filthy little claws bounced away, use Agility and then Double Team! Let's see 'im keep track of a whole pack of sprinting Cujos!

    Protect/Agility/Double Team

Thanks again, MeLoVeGhOsTs! *goes off to edit topic title*

Please, Phoenix, when will you ever learn? You just can't escape the ol' Manjoume Thunder... or Manjoume Charmander, I guess I should say. Charthunder? Oh, whatever, it still sounds better than that godawful dub "Chazz it up" crap. And you're still going down.

Good, Chazz! Now that we've guaranteed Cujo a trip to the dentist after this, we can stop fooling around and play dirty. If he's going to waste his time Protecting, then just don't hit him for a while. Instead, I'm thinking that Dragon Dance is more the way to go; speed yourself up so it's easier to keep up with that Agile little mutt. Then shmack 'im with two Aerial Aces in a row; Cujo won't be able to get away from that!

Ahem... MLG? There's only a few days left until the DQ... as I believe that refs must also abide by the DQ time, I must ask: where exactly are you? Don't mean to pester you, I'm just wondering if you're still interested... we can get someone else if you're too busy.

I am busy yes, with exams coming up and all, I'm a slow ref for now, but I'll get in eventually. Just have some patience.

Also, no Refs do not have to abide to DQ time.

Ah, my mistake. It's just that they do have to follow DQ on another ASB I play in, and I could have sworn I read that somewhere here, too. Not a problem, sorry to bother you. Good luck with those exams.

Well, after a good thinking and my current stat of grades, you'd better search for a sub-ref, unless you feel like waiting a month?
