Sure what the heck. Win or lose I can probably evolve and catch once my battles are up.
Looking for a new challenge, since all my battles have been neglected.
Rules:
Number of Pokemon: 4, one at a time.
DQ Time: 1 Week
Banned Moves: Rest, Attract, Substitute, Recover, Toxic, Perish Song, Destiny Bond, and other cheap moves that my opponent doesn't want.
Location: Dark Demise, a standard haunted castle. We'll start out in the great hall, but we can easily move to a different room.
We each PM our first pokemon to the ref, and he'll decide who goes first at random.
I need a dedicated ref and opponent who will not abandon the battle.
Any takers? Four on four! Lots of points!

I'll PM you my first choice. I hope my opponent has done so.

The two trainers arrive at the haunted castle, ready for a good fight. Without any hesitation, Dark Sage pulls out a pokeball from his belt. He tosses it to the ground, revealing a fiesty male Nuzleaf, named Oak. He stretches out and grins at the opposition. Hatake Kakashi pulls out his own ball, sending it flying to the ground. It pops open revealing a small Tyrogue, named Lance Uppercut, who punches his fist into his palm and lets out a battlecry.
The combatants contemplate their first commands, apparently not bothered by the fact that they're in a haunted castle.

With the pokemon staring at one another, the two trainers shout their commands as the first round of this battle commences. The pokemon nod, and start clashing immedietly.
Lance closes his eyes, focusing on increasing his body size for battle. Oak has no intention of letting him get away with it successfully, however. He utilizes his speed and dashes straight at the baby fighter. With one quick motion he trips the fighting type, interupting his concentration and foiling his attack. The mischieveous grass type chuckles as Lance stands up, annoyed.
Not to be deterred this early in the battle, Lance bends his knees and leaps high into the air, almost up to the ceiling of the castle. Lowering his foot into position, he starts rapidly falling toward Oak, intending to crush him. The grass type grins, his eyes glowing with psionic energy. Using his mind, he enters Lance's conciousness and directly attacks his brain. Lance winces and grunts, but the discomfort isn't enough to stop the attack that he's already in the process of performing. He comes crashing down into Oak, sending him tumbling to the ground as Lance bounces backwards off the grass type, flipping before he lands on the ground. Nuzleaf stands up, rubbing his head from the pain of the impact, while Tyrogue just smiles wickedly.
Both pokemon glare at each other, in a sort of visual standoff. Each wanting to prove his power, both pokemon concentrating energy into their hand. At the same time, both pokemon execute an open-hand chop, each one hitting the other's side. Each pokemon tries to muffle a grunt of agony, neither wanting to give in even a bit. The two hop back from one another, trying to hide the pain they experienced from the attack.
As the two continue to stare one another down, the trainers look on, seeing a definate grudge match in the making.

Then strike Lance with Giga Drain.
Finally, fire a Solar Beam at him.
You may not know Fire Punch yet, but there's still a trick up your sleeves! Use Rain Dance, but only if his Sunny Day works(being in a castle, and all o.o)

The 2 pokemon continue to stare one another down. The trainers carefully pick their next set of moves, each hoping to gain an advantage.
Oak is the first to make an action. Closing his eyes, he focuses on the weather, a faint orange glow surrounding his body. Outside, the obligatory dark clouds surrounding the castle dissipate, making way for the moon (of course its nighttime, no one goes to haunted castles during the day :p). The moon shines brightly, though it has little effect on the area where the battlers are. A few beams of moonlight come through cracks in the ceiling, and a bit through the windows, but the majority of the arena remains dark. Not seeing any use in changing the weather back to the dark rain clouds, Tyrogue just relaxes, readying himself for his next action.
Nuzleaf focuses his attention back on his foe, who is still standing a few feet away. He gets ready to lunge at him, when suddenly he starts moving very quickly. Oak is unable to follow Lance's quick movements as he dashes behind the grass type, and then punches him in the back. Nuzleaf falls to the ground, grunting. Still lying on the ground, he turns around and grabs Lance's leg, hand glowing. A similar glow surrounds Lance as he is drained of health by Oak. Satisfied, the wily pokemon releases him and quickly stands up, facing his adversary and grinning.
Not wasting any time, Oak begins gathering light into the leaf on top of his head, preparing for a powerful attack. Lance quickly grabs hold of Oak's feet, though he doesn't take any action just yet. Finally Oak has enough energy for his attack, and the grass type takes the energy absorbed by his leaf into his body. His leaf glows brightly as he whips his head forward... using quick reflexes, Lance pulls Oak off his feet and starts spinning him around. Oak's leaf emits a bright beam of solar energy around the arena, while he is unable to aim it while spinning. The beam blasts the walls of the castle until finally Tyrogue releases Oak, sending him flying into a wall. He crashes through, creating a large hole. Slowly, he frees himself from the debris of the wall, and rubs his head. Angerly, he glares at Lance, not at all happy that his powerful attack was foiled.
Tyrogue grins at the wily pokemon, showing that he's plenty a match for him. As the round closes, the trainers contemplate their next move.

Well, that could have gone better. The Library, huh?
Your move, Hatake.
Alright sorry 'bout that.
Tyrogue, sock it with another Brick Break! If it tries to use Extrasensory, use Mind-Reader. Let's just pray it'll either give you the mental edge to resist it or (best case scenario) give him a direct link to the pain your feeling. If he doesn't, sneak behind it and Seismic Toss it again.
Either way, finish off by Mega Kicking it into a bookcase!

As round 3 begins, a strange moaning sound is heard throughout the castle. The 2 shiver a bit, but they try not to show their fear as the trainers shout their next commands to them. They nod and nervously face each other.
Still on the offensive, Lance rushes toward the crumbled wall that Oak now stands behind. He holds his open hand to the side, ready to chop the grass type once he gets close enough. Nuzleaf holds his hands outstretched, closing his eyes and concentrating. As he does, a transparent orb of energy surrounds his body, protecting him from harm. Reaching his target, Lance jumps over the rubble and brings down his hand in a karate chopping motion... straight onto Oak's shield. Tyrogue grunts, wincing as he feels a stinging pain in his hand from the impact. The wily grass type chuckles as the shield drops and Lance rubs his hand.
Using the opportunity, Oak's eyes begin to glow with a purple light. Tyrogue, hoping to avoid the attack somehow, closes his eyes, probing Oak's mind. Unfortunately, all he is able to discern from his limited mind reading abilities is that Nuzleaf is about to attack him with a psychic force. And just as he predicted, he does... using a psychic power the mischieveous grass type directly attacks Tyrogue's mind, causing great pain to the fighting type and also foiling his mind reading in the process. Lance cries out and holds his head, trying to block out the pain. As Nuzleaf finishes his assault the glow in his eyes diminishes. The 2 pokemon hear a sound from the side, and turn around to see 3 books floating mysteriously in the air. They look on, suprised and scared as the books crash into them, 2 hitting Oak and 1 slamming Lance in the head. Seems the spirits are restless.
Trying to ignore the ghostly books, which are now lying on the ground seemingly harmless, the 2 combatants glare at each other. Both begin focusing energy into their feet, each glowing with power. The 2 simultaneously swing their feet forward, crackling the air with power. They make contact with one another, each gritting their teeth and grunting as the energy and force of the attack causes signifigant pain. A bit more focused than Lance, who is a mildly confused by the earlier psychic attack, Oak's attack is more powerful and also better aimed, hitting the previously injured side. Lance drops to his knees, holding his side in pain, while Oak staggers back a few steps before regaining balance.
As the round closes, the eerie moaning is heard echoing throughout the castle once more. The pokemon shudder, wondering if its the same spirit that caused the books to attack them.

The trainers try to calm their pokemon down as the round begins, while at the same time shouting their next commands. The pokemon nod quickly and face one another.
Wanting to shed some light on the situation, Oak starts tapping into his photosynthetic receptors for light that he's stored. The fighting type quickly closes his eyes in preparation, and starts focusing on enlarging his muscles while he's immune to Oak's attack. The grass types entire body flashes as he releases stored light, illuminating the dark room temporarily, but unfortunately not effecting Lance, who is finished focusing, his muscles bulging with power.
The wily dark type sighs at his failed attack, but quickly continues his assault on Lance. His fist glows a faint brown as he slams it into the ground. A rumbling is heard beneath Lance's feet, and he quickly goes into a counter-stance, a blue aura surrounding his body. Controlled by Oak, 4 rock spires jut out of the ground beneath and around the fighting type... but under the force of the counter the rocks quickly shatter, sending debris flying everywhere. Oak looks suprised as Lance grins at him.
That done, both pokemon look at one another... each was ordered to attack only in reply to the opponents action, but it doesn't seem either of them is going to do anything. They both just stand there glaring at one another for a long while.
And in the same way the round ends, both pokemon staring one another down and waiting. Outside, unbenownst to the battlers since the library has no windows, the intensified moonlight dies down.

With no delay, the trainers shout their commands to their pokemon, who nod in reply, still glaring at one another.
Acting as quickly as his trainer, Lance starts rushing toward the grass type with blazing speed, fist at the ready. As he reaches the target, he slams his fist into... nothing? The fighter looks around, confused at where his tricky opponent has disappeared to. Silently, Oak reappears from the shadows behind Lance, and executes a quick tackle, knocking Tyrogue back. He turns around to see the grinning dark type, and growls at him.
Now quite annoyed, Lance flips himself to his feet and lunges toward Oak, ready to grab him. But Oak is starting to flicker, once again tapping into his photo receptors. Tyrogue responds to this, abandoning his throw. He instead closes his eyes and starts focusing endorphines into his muscles once more. He feels a surge of physical strength, while Oak harmlessly lets loose a bright flash of light. The flash seems to have disturbed the spirits this time, however. From a bookshelf emerges a single large book.... the Encyclopedia of DOOOM! It opens up to reveal mysterious jaws, and flies over to Oak, clamping its teeth onto his arm. He grunts and shakes the book off, bite marks now lining his arm.
Trying to ignore the floating book, Oak turns back to Lance, who now looks quite powerful despite his small size. He crouches down, then leaps high into the air, ready to excecute a powerful kick once he falls back down on his foe. Hoping to foil the attack, Nuzleaf's eyes begin to glow purple once more as he utilizes his limited mastery of psionic powers. He assaults Lance's mind directly with the psychic energy... causing him to temporarily lose track of what he's doing as he winces under the stress of the attack. He crashes into Oak, though he doesn't kick him because of the attack on his senses. Both pokemon are knocked to the ground, sprawling out and groaning. The still active Encyclopedia this time clamps onto Lance's back, giving him a nice chomp before floating back into the air.
As the menacing book floats, both pokemon slowly stand and face the book, ignoring one another for the time being.

Hmmm...
We got a restless ghost in this room, and the best bet is to move this battle.
Oak, for this round I want you to use Dig, to burrow through the floor and move to whatever room is below this one. I'll follow.
After that, just take a breather until your opponent follows.
A word of advice to my opponent - I suggest you follow.
If for some reason, you can't, change tactics. Use Razor Wind on that ghost book until it is sliced into paper.
I find anything in Tyrogue's arsenal that can deal with a haunted tome, so I can't offer advice on that matter.
Follow your opponent down the hole. But just spend the rest of the round Bulking Up.
If the book attacks, Counter it and then follow and spend the final turns Bulking Up.

Since we know he'll respond to Extrasensory with Protect, that's just what I want you to do, twice. You'll avoid the Brick Breaks, and he'll expend a huge amount of energy using the move twice, if he even can.

The trainers quickly shout their commands to their respective pokemon, who nod and face one another, ignoring the creepy dungeon scenery.
Lance once again utilizes his speed, running quickly toward Oak with his fist ready to punch. Oak starts building up wind energy with his leaf, hoping to slam Tyrogue as he approaches. He is unable to finish the attack soon enough, however, and Lance reaches his target, slamming his fist into Nuzleaf's stomach and sending him flying. The grass type winces, but still intends to attack. He nimbly lands on his feet, and after a few more seconds of gathering energy he whips his glowing leaf forward with a shout. This creates a narrow blast of wind, which tears through the air. As it hits Lance, he is pushed back substancially, and grunts as the concentrated burst causes brusing across his torso.
The fighter rubs his stomach, suprised that wind could cause such an injury. But he quickly turns his attention back to Oak, noticing his eyes starting to glow. Familiar with whats coming, Lance quickly holds out his hands, using them to focus energy and create a transparent sphere around his body. As Oak tries to attack the baby's mind, he finds out that he is unable, blocked by the energy shield. Still, he grins, knowing what his trainer has in mind. Lance lets the energy dissipate as he see's the glow in Oak's eyes disappear.
But just as quickly as it disappeared, the glowing eyes once again return. With some difficulty from stress, Tyrogue again holds out his arms, channeling energy to form another shield. Oak chuckles, knowing he'll be unable to attack but noticing the trouble the fighter had with erecting the shield. He cuts off his attack, letting Lance drop his shield as he puts his arms on his knees, breathing heavily.
His strategy successful, Oak grins at his trainer, who nods back to him. The battle is looking good for Oak, or as good as it can look fighting in a dungeon.

After some discussion, the 2 combatants shout their attacks to their pokemon, who still appear ready to duke it out.
Oak starts the round off, eyes glowing as he prepares for the familiar psychic assault. Tyrogue acts quickly, remembering the pain from the the attack. He starts making obscene gestures and shouting out insults at Oak. Of course, no one can understand the insults, but he's probably saying something about how wimpy his fighting skills are and maybe insulting Oak's mother or something. It has the desired effect, either way. Nuzleaf's eyes suddenly return to normal, unable to concentrate with such a distraction going on. He shouts out, obviously pretty angry from Lance's insult-fest.
Glad to have avoided that attack, Lance starts dashing toward the angry grass type, hoping to duck behind him and also to dodge Oak's kick. As the fighter gets close, Oak does just what Lance expects, pulling his foot back as he hops forward ready to smash him. He nimbly dodges under the attack, and grins, assuming himself safe from further attacks for the moment. However, it seems the wily Nuzleaf has tricked Lance, and he turns around and starts barraging him with all manor of attacks, enraged. Lance tries to block the assault, but is quickly overtaken by the repeated blows. As Oak stops his attack, Tyrogue groans in pain.
No longer behind the dark pokemon, Lance decides to go with a counterattack. He holds his hands ready at his side, concentrating as a blue aura surrounds his body. Oak is still fairly angry, and ignoring the aura, he pulls his hand back above his head, gathering a bit of energy around it. With a cry he brings his hand crashing down on Lance, only to have it meet with an invisible force, which redirects the attack back at him. The grass pokemon falls backward, hand throbbing with pain, as Lance winces. Even though he successfully countered, the attack still put some stress on his weakening body.
As the round closes, Oak kneels and holds his hand, still angry but at this point more concerned with the pain. Lance looks to be in even more pain, one eye closed and breathing heavily.
