Girafarig had non-rock types in the old ASB. I believe he had a Natu or an Aipom. I forget. Hanada Tattsu, however, had 6 water Pokemon: Wartortle, Mudkip, Totodile, Horsea, Barboach and Poliwag.

Edit: I'm not bored of him per se, I just don't like Primeape as a Pokemon as much anymore. I only caught him to help combat rock types after my loss against Girafarig himself. Heh. He's an awesome Pokemon though.

Chris, I would say go for Sableye, it's a top ghost, has the necessary variety of attacks, and has dark type to have no SE moves against it, it romped the psychic gym in Emerald, I'm deciding on which to get now, Gulpin, and show you all how wrong you are for it being so underrated(I'd have the first or second if Chris beats me), Sableye, or Duskull, and torment my opponents

Yes, i dont like Pelipper a whole lot, and Seviper's movepool isnt terrific, so i was considering getting Swalot for a stockpiler. Plus hes a very interesting pokemon. Good call.

Thanks, I believe Ekans and Mawile also learn stock pile/spit up/swallow
but, Pain split is a Gulpin move, along with yawn, and thanks to XD...sing XD...Swalot might have his name changed to Luigi when he gets there...

I'd be interested in getting a Primeape Chris, even though I plan on evolving Fist into a Hitmonchan pretty soon. You can't go wrong with a monkey.

A big thing I used to do, was use arenas that accentuate my pokemon's strong points, a jungle would be good for mankey, not sure about primeape, water arenas are great for water types, especially fish, and wailord...I would not want to fight an almost 900lb 47.7ft pokemon in the water...unless I had a raichu sitting on an island taking pot shots at it, lol...

Well, a fighter would help, I personally like Medicham, covers the psychic weakness, a fighter who can use psychic, and calm mind.
but, if he uses Electabuzz right, his fighting moves should take care of any dark types, hell, I've beaten Houndours with Abra.

EDIT: by no means should anyone underestimate a Stantler, he can be uuberlicious, and he will be one of my next pokes.

Yes DD, Wailord's weight is a prime factor in the "Wailady defense" approach...just need to get this banner updated. And a nice dose of amnesia will take care of those electric attacks...

Not sure who I want to add next to the team, though. I've been thinking about Ekans, just to have the ol' Kobra.

3 points for one evolution and 4 points for a second evolution, if it applies. There are some exceptions and I don't feel like explaining it so check the topic

I've been in a battle with Dark Sage with an additional rule that might intrest some of you guys.

Crystal Tears translated it as Bravery. Basicly it's the banning of sub moves.
So no more "In case of toxic, agility" or "In case of double team, rain dance". The fight has been really intresting so far and it shows how easily some strategies can be countered if you can't use sub moves.

Must be nice to fight a little simpler- less worrying about Plan B's. I might try it.

Its nice to have it simple, on one hand.

But on the other hand, it leaves you extremely vulnerable to certain things.... like if your attacking first and you can't sub, the opponent can put you to sleep on the first turn and your entire set of orders is completely null for that round.

And you never know when your going to wake up, so then if you order Sleep Talk all 3 times and you wake up, your orders are null again.

I think with "Bravery" you have to trust your opponent. With a rule like that you really don't want to have a cheap opponent who will take full advantaged of it. Silencer and Dark Sage who are using Bravery right now haven't once tried to put each other asleep, or poison, or anything else for that matter. They have simply been bashing each others brains in sense the start. This is quite nice because it makes the reffing quicker, and easy. It's also interesting to see each one of them make come backs the next round.

Sleep talk... Bravery would make an acceptation, maybe you could say a very basic statregy. Like if Venus were put to sleep, Dark Sage could say if you wake up, use Psychic. (Because Dark Sage is very found of that move o.O)

Between me and DS it's a rematch. The first one I won in a, I'll admit it, cheap way. This is why I implemented this rule. I just wanted a good old bashing around :p

Didn't mean to be so pushy. Just that in the beginnen you were sooo active, got kind of worried when the topic fell to page 2 -_-. Had bad experiences with refs...(still having btw) 1 of my battles was stopped at the end of a fight and need some sub reffing. But because they don't ref most of the battle, the sub-ref wouldn't get an award so that might be why noone is willing... 3on3 both on last pokémon, I mean, come on...
