[color=chocolate][b][size=3] The last time Ryan posted a topic on Fate/ Stay Night, there was not anyone that reply to that topic. *Erms* Let me checked... Hah! Zero reply and 91 views. That topic had pathetic response for an anime that is indeed pretty hot right now amongest the peers that I know of. I suppose it was probably due to the fact that the anime was not showing at that time. To recap, the below mentioned is what Last Exile had posted back then.

[color=chocolate][b][size=3]The anime is now mainly fansub by Eclipse and is currently in its eighteen episode. Currently as I am posting this topic, episode nineteen will be soon in a few hours time. To summarise the whole story, it is all about seven chosen masters presumably magicians which had the ability to summon seven servants. These seven servants are heroic spirits which can be found from all time frames; past, present and future.
[color=chocolate][b][size=3]The seven servants are basically the following: Archer, Assassin, Caster, Sable, Berserk-er, Rider, Lancer (In respective order shown above)
These servants fought alongside with their masters with each other. And the winner which ultimately triumphs all will get the Holy Grail. The Holy Grail will grant any one wish that both the master and the servant had.
The main characters of the series is as followed,
[color=chocolate][b][size=3]Emiya Shirou

[color=chocolate][b][size=3] Emiya is the main male lead in the whole anime series. He was the only victim that survive the last Holy Grail War when his whole city got wiped out. Rescued by his father, he was taught only a few magic tricks by his Dad as he grew up. Learn only a few skills but it was not good enough to classify as a proper magician.
[color=chocolate][b][size=3]Sable - Aka King Arthur

[color=chocolate][b][size=3] Supposedly the most 'powerful and capable' servant when compared to the other six. She was the servant that was summoned by Emiya during a confrontation with Lancer. The viewers had no idea on the identity of this heroine until she summoned the Excalibur to defeat Rider in the later episodes.
[color=chocolate][b][size=3]Tohsaka Rin

[color=chocolate][b][size=3] She was the another half of the alliance with Emiya. One of the few proven magicians unlike the half- assed, her servant was Archer. There was a few times which she was prove useful. Her advantage is that she had the basic knowledge of magic and there was one episode which she uses her knowledge to help Sable replenish her mana from Emiya. The disadvantage was her vulnerability in combat. Her servant, Archer, was defeated earlier into the series by Berserk-er. However she had her wits and agility as compensation to her lack of combat ability without Archer.
[color=chocolate][b][size=3]Introduction to the series
[color=chocolate][b][size=3]The whole series begins with scenes from the last Holy Grail War between Sable and an unknown servant. The entire city being wiped out from the battle and Emiya was saved from the rumbles by his adopted father supposingly the surviving magician. Those scenes from from Emiya's memories and the memories did not end there. Further down the first episode, the memories also show the adopted father teaching young Emiya the way of life and reason for being a magician.
The second episode was then truly the start of the ecstasy for the entire series. Our young hero was caught up in a battle between Lancer and Archer. He was discovered by Lancer and was killed. Luckily Rin saved him using her jewels. However as soon as Lancer realize that Emiya was not dead, he went after him again. However this time round, Emiya summons Sable which in turn saves him from Lancer's attack.
From then now there was no looking back, Rin later join in an alliance with Emiya. In the later episodes we were also shown scenes in which on how Emiya seriously resembles Archer, how Archer was destroyed by Berserk-er and how Sakura was used as a container to force- summon the Holy Grail in a plan by Caster. The current eighteenth episode shows Sable battling Assassin and how Rin sacrifices herself to save Sakura.
[color=chocolate][b][size=3]Personal Comments
[color=chocolate][b][size=3]The anime was well developed and the battle scenes were just great. However at times the series might get lengthy and instead of proceeding to the main plot of the plot, they keep showing the flashbacks from Emiya's memories.
The characters were perfectly drawn. Sable being an authoritative figure and kept arguing with Emiya in the earlier episodes. After the ritual which was performed by Rin to replenish her mana from Emiya, she showed her shyness side. Rin on the other hand was perfect to begin with. Commanding but yet caring, she was also a trustworthy partner in the alliance with Emiya.
Sakura was the all rounder. Demure by nature, she was skilled in all houseworks and is the type that gets jealous easily. Though being jealous, she had never revealed that ugly side to any of the characters in the anime.
Overall, I would give this anime a seven points for general impression and an eight for character development.

[color=chocolate][b][size=3]I thought this might be a good idea to open our first anime fanclub. For a start, allow me to post some really kawaii picture of the characters.
[b][size=3]The artist did a very good job of editing all the original character artwork to something more cartoonish and immature. Impressive job done!
