Wait for the water to flood, I think it's like every 6 hours. Torkoal and Manectric are your best choices

Manectric and Lanturn are good electric types. But you seem to have a water in your team, so I believe Manectric would be better suited, unless you don't mind a somewhat double-weakness. Plus, if the whole "overused-underused" factor bothers you, than go for Lanturn, because I haven't seen very many people use it and Manectric is in a lot of the teams now... (Though, when it was new, everyone thought it "looked weird" and at most boards I went to, I was the only one who liked it and wanted it in my team... xD)
Aw, no Blaziken? Well, then I say Ninetales or Camerupt. ^^
Ninetales: Roar, Will-O-Wisp, Safeguard/Grudge, Flamethrower
O.o A Roar-O-Wisp Ninetales... hehe. Grudge if you want to drain PP, Safeguard if you want to keep Ninetales in longer by getting rid of status effects for a short while. ^^

Umbrella, you say Manectric sucks but Camerupt is good? Camerupt has a 4x weakness to Water, a move EVERYONE has on their team. Not saying 'rupt is crap, but Manectric is better

Ah, yes, the x4 weakness to water. Camerupt may have decent moves and stats, but it's quite a risk to actually put one on a team, due to the fact nearly all teams have a water Pokémon - or move - somewhere. Ninetales is less risky than both Blaziken and Camerupt... and, somewhat, Torkoal who is normally a tank.
So, I'm saying Ninetales would be your best bet, then Torkoal. If neither of those, Camerupt as a last resort.
Well... really - Ninetales, Camerupt, Torkoal and Blaziken are the only fire types I remember besides Groudon... who could possibly be knocked out with one or two water moves like Camerupt. So, yeah, Ninetales and Torkoal would most likely be the best for you to use.

I would recommend using lanturn as your electric type. Unlike manectric it has some staying power and it learns some decent moves. My last team actually had both walrein and lanturn, and I didnt find it to be too much of a problem. In fact I also had Swampert *winces at grass weakness*. I would recommend using lanturn and cammerupt so you can cover electrics.
Cammerupt is fine to use. Having a 4x water weakness here is not too bad, simply because surf is normally used exclusively on water type pokemon, whom all fire types run away from. It can also damage incoming water pokemon more than other fire types, with its STABed earthquakes (Which also helps with rock types).
In conclusion: use lanturn + cammerupt.

What, no Magneton fans in here? Sure, it doesn't get Levitate (like it should), but what about the high Defense? The high Special Attack? The immunity to two of the most annoying moves ever, Attract and Toxic? The fact that it owns Skarmory (try "Magnet Pull")? And don't forget about Metal Sound....
I think it's worth using.

Do what I do - DON'T USE ELECTRIC!!! They're weak in this game. Instead, get a Pokemon or two who can learn T-bolt (like a ghost or dragon). I beat the Elite 4 using my Banette as my electric - and he OHKO'd all the pokemon I used T-bolt on when he was at level 50. You don't need an electric type... but that's just my opinion.

cheers
I decided on Torkoal (i heard someone say tank) and also my friend traded me a sharked lvl. 5 elekid who is one of my faves, so i have him. Id also like to tell you that im using this for the game only and now i sharked my team to shiny cos they look good. (dont worry shark haters, i backed up an identical team [done legally] onto my ruby just incase i dont like the shiny sharked team)
Cheers for the advice
