Pokemon Chronicles in America: June 3rd! (minor spoilers)

According to an article just published by ICv2 news, Pokemon Chronicles will be airing on Cartoon Network (not Kids WB) this summer, starting at 7 p.m. ET on June 3rd. The three-part saga The Legend of Thunder is expected to take up the first three episodes.

So, it's finally arriving. After months (or has it been years now?) of waiting, American audiences will finally get to see the Chronicles episodes. Of course, the biggest news may be that it's going to air on CN rather than WB. But anyway, it's good to see that someone's finally willing to bring the show over from across the sea.

I actually liked the first one. It's a refreshing change of characters and Pokemon that you don't see too often in battle are coming out

I thought the funniest part was when Typhlosion was giving Jimmy a creepy look and laughing. I haven't laughed at a Pokemon scene in ages

Yeah, I watched that episode too. I found the Typhlosion scene hilarious, along with Jimmy's constant avoidance of Marina's flirting. Ah well, at least the Team Rocket members here aren't blundering idiots of Jessie and James and that's what makes this all the better. Look forward to watching the other episodes that they show.

When I heard these series was going to be on Cartoon Network, I had to watch it. It is kind of refreshing to watch Pokemon without Ash and Pikachu. Plus Jimmy and his Typhlosion are way much cooler than Ash and his Pikachu. And not to mention that the Team Rocket Jimmy faces are a bit more of a improvement when it comes to Jessie, James and Meowth. Also I found Marina's character interesting, especially during the battle between her and Jimmy. I hope that this series will be something to really enjoy to watch.

Chronicles have been the only series I've been actually consistently watching -- as I only watch the new seasons of Pokémon sporadically at best. :/ Usually there's something that makes me want to watch it -- but I like Chronicles a lot better. Get away from May for awhile. The Legend of Thunder thing was awesome. XD.. Marina's VA bugged me a bit -- and I found it eerily reminiscent to Mimi's from Digimon. But as a whole, a ton better.

o.o I'm looking forward to the one with Richie a lot, though. I just like his character a lot (and Gary's)

I watched them when they aired in the Uk (a year ago! Nyah) and liked them...sort of.

The Raikou Special is very good and despite the people completely whining about it (theres a topic around here about Chronicles...I tore into some guy who whined because the Pokemons nicknames weren't translated properly or something) I enjoyed it.

Obviously there are dubbing changes but I'm not fussed at all. Some are quite dire in my opinion but at the same time some are classics and like Becca said, very refreshing from the main series.

Look out for the first Brock special after LoT.
