Default MLG vs. DT (Ref: CT) [The Lake of Tranquility]

Yeah, seeing that I have NO battles going on right now, I'd like a new battle. ^^ (and a ref this time...)

So I have two water pokemon that can only fight inside water. Namely, Qwilfish and Goldeen.

Is somebody interested in doing an ONLY water arena? 1vs1 or 2vs2, it doesn't matter.

And I'd REALLY like a ref ^^ *begs*

Hi, MLG! You know, I was wondering if our battle that lacked ref should be continued or not, since it's been a long time since the match was started... So, if you want to forfeit the match, then I would like to join in this match.

A 2 vs 2 is fine, since I also have two water Pokemon.
    Please take it easy~

Yeah I kinda forfeited it due a lack of ref. Ok then you're my opponent. That's two pokemon (one out at a time) in a water-ish arena. You can make the arena if you like.

I send out first, you attack first.
    5 Days DQ.
Banned moves: Rest, Substitute, Destiny Bond, Attract, Pain Split, Explosion, Selfdestruct.
    Arena: *points to DT*
And free brownie points for the ref!

Oh CT, you have no idea how thankful we are for you to ref! (since our last match died because of no ref)

    Anyway:

    Arena: The Lake of Tranquility
A deep lake located in the depth of the forest near Fortree City. The water is quite clear, but it gets murkier when one goes deeper in the lake. Accuracy of attack launched at the bottom of the lake will be slightly lower than usual, caused by the sediment layer at the bottom of the lake. Weather effect will not play effect on attacks launched in the lake. There are some rocks at the bottom of the lake. A few Pokemon, such as Zigzagoon and Kecleon could be seen at the edge of the lake, but they won’t cause any interruption in the battle.

So, I'll wait for MLG to select his Pokemon before I post my attacks.
    Please take it easy~

    Lol at MLG XD.

And I’ll choose my male Relicanth, Devonian!

Okay, Devonian. I want you to start by picking up some rock and use them for a Rock Slide attack. If the attack was successful, I want you to use Rock Slide again. If not, use a Secret Power. End with an Ice Beam.

Ok Siren, first boost your speed and dodge that Rock Slide with an Agility, to get behind him! Proceed with Supersonic as he tries to locate you and finish it with firing an Icebeam of your own!

Serene, quiet, and controlled… It how this lake works, hidden within a forest lies the Lake of Tranquility. Though today, its beauty will be disturbed.

“Beat you.” Darktyranitar grins, looking the man in front of him. MeLoVeGhOsTs. Who shrugs it off easily before turning to the lake.

    “Shall we?”

“We shall.” With a flick of his wrist Darktyranitar Devonian, an ancient fish Pokemon known as Relicanth. The fish looms near the surface, watching and waiting for his opponent.

With a sharp whistle, a small, white goldfish leaps out of the water before plashing back into it. MLG has already released Siren, his Goldeen.

Dark clouds gather for a moment, before lighting strikes the beach side, scaring away any wild Pokemon above ground. Emerging from the smoke is a floating throne, complete with Crystal. The ‘evil’ ref.

“Begin..” Crystal sighs, going back to her fingers.

Both fish head for deeper waters as their commands on issued, Devonian sights a couple of rocks and moves over to them, using considerable force to throw large amounts of them at Siren, who begins to easily dodge the rocks, before she’s one step ahead of each boulder, and before long she races behind Devonian.

Slightly confused, the ancient Pokemon begins to turn, but sight’s his opponent to late when Siren unleashes her ‘beautiful voice’ and instead lets out such high notes that they enter Devonian’s ears and scramble his mind, making him able to use any attack.

Slightly better off then the last action, the Relicanth finds himself able to charge a half-arsed ice beam, Siren smiles evilly, charging one of her open, but Ice beams smash into each other after fired, bubbles raise to the surface, before chunks of ice. Unseen however, was Siren’s ice beam quickly overpowering the weak one, and then slamming into poor Devonian.

Ok, lets make use of the confusion while it lasts! First use a Haze and shroud yourself in it. Then use Double Team for ultimate coverage (accompagnied with Confusion) and finish with ramming yourself into Relicanth (and the cloud) with Megahorn!

[b]No worry, Devonian. Now, I want you to Mimic that Haze attack. Then, when Siren use Double Team, try to take them out with a Rock Slide attack. Then, lower your head, brace for the Mega Horn, and give her a Skull Bash right before she comes at you!

Relax if you’re confused, but not when you’re going for a Skull Bash.

As Devonian is too confused to use Mimic, he is forced to dizzily watch as Siren moves gently back, the water becoming so murky until nothing can be seen. Siren smiles, though the water reacted a bit differently then planned, she could barely see Devonian.

As Siren splits into Doubles Secretly, the Relicanth begins to calm, the haze has blocked out all the spinning landscapes. Playing a pure guessing game, Devonian finds himself shooting a rock slide into the haze. Unknowingly, he successfully destroys 2 of 5 clones.

Siren charges, the shadow turning into a physical form as she lowers her head, but there’s a flaw, Relicanth has lowered his head in a defensive position though the plan didn’t go exactly correct, right when Devonian feels the pain, he charges forward, successfully ramming Siren back into her mist.

But as the rule of double team goes, the copies vanish, dissipating into the mist…

As he fires off an Ancientpower use Psybeam and hit him in the head! Boosting the confusion! Then use Agility + Megahorn for an uberfast powerfull strike. Start rushing aside the minute he sends out his secretpower.

The slightly confused Devonian is actual quick to react to his commands, he quickly uses Ancient Power, causing the ancients wrath to slam into Siren, who quickly recovers and fires off a psybeam. Which hits Devonian straight on, yet... Doesn't increase the confusion, only seems to anger the ancient water pokemon.

Devonian charges up a white beam, before firing it off at Siren, but she zooms out of the way, waiting at the side for some seconds as the new blood rushing through her body gives her a sort of high. Siren then rushes in, faster then anyone can believe the Goldeen slams her horn into Devonian with such force that he is sent a couple of feet back.

Devonian is quick to react, now totally out of his confused state the ancient fish rushes forward, slamming Siren which just as much force, only his attack wasn't laced with bug energy.

    Glad that you're back. CT.

Okay, I have a dumb question to ask... since we're battling in a lake, is it possible for any non-water Pokemon to battle in? I have a Gastly that's itching to battle...

    Back to battle...

Okay, Devonian. Dive quickly before the sonic wave could even reach you. I know sound travel fast in water, so try to get as far from the radius of supersonic. Then, quickly pick up some rock on the bottom of the lake and hurl it towards Siren in a Rock Slide attack. Brace yourself for Bubblebeam, before you sprint off in a Skull Bash attack. The speed of the attack should help you to fly through the bubbles without too much harm done to you.

Siren attempts to sing her 'beautiful' song once again, but Devonian will have none of it this time. The usually slow moving rockfish blasts down to the sandy lake floor. The force of the dive unintentionally blasts sand up, obscuring everyone's vision.

Annoyed, Siren blasts a psybeam done into the sand cloud, but the blast misses Devonian, and only succeeds in blasting up more sand. The sand is deterring Devonian as well, it blocks his visions of most of the rocks, but he manages to throw a few good ones in Siren's general direction. Unfortunately only two of the rocks actually hit the wonderful fish.

As the Sand finally begins to settle and dissipate, Siren sees her opponent rapidly appearing. Hastily, she blasts a stream of bubbles forward, For Devonian blasts forward as well, pushing towards the Goldeen with his head lowered, and he slams into her! Sending her back, even deeper into the Lake.

Charging up a white beam once again, Devonian takes aim at little Siren. Who with a surprising boost of speed darts out of the way of the beam and zooms behind the Ancient fish.

Confused, Devonian searches for Siren, who shoots the rock fish with a strong beam of bubbles, with no pressure to negate their effects, Devonian sustains damage. But he isn't without revenge, turning around quickly he fires off an ice beam, even a little dazed by the bubbles, the ancient fish manages to hit Siren near her side, but doesn't freeze her.

Devonian then charges, the water around him clinging to his sides in a waterborn quick attack strategy, but Siren begins to spin, faster and faster until part of the lake is turned into a vortex of water. It grabs Devonian and begins to spin him around and around. Before long Devonian is trapped in the center of the whirlpool, looking at its spinning walls caustiously for his opponent.

Try and trap all of the clones with a Whirlpool attack. Hopefully, you can destroy the fakes one. Use a ‘Water Edge’ (Dive from below + Double Edge). If somehow Whirlpool failed, try going for a widespread Secret Power followed by a Double Edge.

As Siren splits into many copies, Devonian decides his tired of the lake being so quiet and un disturbed. Spinning rapidly, the ancient fish feeds the power of the whirl pool, which above water, both trainers and the ref watch the water become a funnel, that widens considerably.
Probably not apart of Devonian’s original plan, but the whirl tugs away at the clones, and Siren, Siren fights it off, receiving good damage, but she is also forced to watch her clones dissipate into nothingness.

Both Pokemon decide to use speed now, unafraid of the fierce whirlpool any longer. Siren takes off first, horn glinting with bug energy as she charges through. Devonian circles a bit, gaining up speed before charging mindlessly into the fray.

    WHUMP

Both Siren and Devonian hit each other, dealing considerable damage to either one, but alas, now they are both stuck inside the whirlpool, which now eats away at the lake bottom, allowing it to grow bigger.

Ok, here’s what we do. Now that we’re trapped, better give it all towards Siren. Double Rock Slide (pick stones from the bottom) and a Body Slam should deal some nice damage.

If Siren tries to escape, follow her with a Waterfall attack.

Rock Slide ~ Rock Slide ~ Body Slam
    Sub: Waterfall

    Please take it easy~

Ok Siren, use your supreme speed (+8!) to easily dodge the rocks while firing off two Psybeams! Try to confuse him. Finish off with a Flail.

Devonian is starting off. He races down to get to the rocks, and hastily throws them at Siren, who is easily dodging every one of the rocks, before firing off a Psybeam. It hits dead on, but Devonian is so determined to hit that he keeps going without halt. Siren is hit! But she makes a quick recovery before firing off another beam of psychic energy. This time Devonian feels the confusion setting in; she blinks, trying to recover.

Before it can take full effect, Devonian races in and thwarts Siren, who suddenly begins to flail and catches the ancient Pokemon off guard. She gets a few good hits in before this round ends.

Ok Whirpool in the opposite direction and make a halt to this danger. Then use Shooting star once more!

    Welcome back, MLG!

Devonian, I want you to relax. I know it’s not easy, seeing that the whirlpool is around you. Try to ease of the confusion effect. Then, if you have recovered, I want you to use a combination of Waterfall and Earthquake to dodge the Shooting Star while you try to land Siren a big damage. Aim at the lake’s bottom.

If you’re still confused, dodge, and then relax.

Relax ~ Seismic Lunge (Waterfall + Earthquake) / Dodge ~ Relax

As the ancient rock pokemon attempts to relax, Siren spins in the wrong direction, creating a whirlpool and slows the massive one, the surface of the lake to return to normal and for the whirlpool to finally dissipate.

Devonian clams suddenly, but soon the water around him ripples and bubbles, like and earthquake in the water, Siren doesn't hesistate she charges, willed by her incredible speed, but oh my! Devonian easily dodges it somehow, he then loops around and smacks Siren in the back, sending her into the lake bottom.

I'm back... for a while. I'm using the internet cafe... Sorry to cause any incovenience.

Okay, Devonian. I want you to wait for her and then use Rock Slide, followed by Secret Power and ended with another Rock Slide. If she decides to go far, go for a long Secret Power. If she does nothing, relax.
