Default Dark Sage versus Charles Legend (Ref Green Lanturn)

You heard me! Charles wanted a challenge from me, and I'm offering.

If he isn't interested, or doesn't have a free spot, this becomes an open challenge.

    Here are the rules:

Pokemon: Four total, but we use two at a time in a two-on-two. Team match!

Banned moves: Rest, Attract, Sustitute, Destiny Bond, Perish Song, Toxic, Thunder Wave. Also, each pokemon is limited to ONE healing move during the course of the duel. Draining moves like Giga Drain do not count.

    DQ Time: One Week

Arena: Dark City. This is a ruined metropolis that has been abandoned due to a disaster of some sort. Buildings and streets lie in ruins. However, strangely, power and facilities still function.

At the Referee's discretion, powerful moves such as Earthquake and the like might have consequenses. These range from hydrants blowing and spraying water to gas mains rupturing. The ref decides what these can do to the battlefield and the combatants.

Also, any weather that occurs here is cursed. If a pokemon uses a weather-controlling ability, it might have negative effects. Strong sunlight might burn, while rain might be corrosive. It still has the desired effect on pokemon abilities, however.

Other rules: We PM our pokemon to the ref, so that neither of us can get Type advantage on purpose.

    So... up for the challenge?

I checked all your posts, you never took the test.

Sorry, but you cannot. This battle would not count. We cannot have an unauthorized referee.

Okay, seems you want to be destructive, so I'm going on defensive and see if they do themselves in.

    Oak, use Protect three times.

    Silver, do the same thing.

We'll hope that those mega blasts bring the whole city down on them.

    BATTLE!

Both trainers glare at each other in the dark city as their pokemon listen to their orders...and with that, they are off!

Team Legend opens the round as Myth flies high into the sky, and sets about himself a shimmering veil, protecting himself from any status inflictions(-2% Energy). Meanwhile, Samson starts off by stomping the ground as hard as he can, causing a massive earthquake, shaking the whole arena...but it seems both Oak and Silver were prepared, as semi-invisible orbs encircle them and Dark Sage, protecting them from any harm. Bits andpieces begins to falls from the buildings.(-7% Energy Samson, -5% Energy Oak and Silver)

Now clear of any possible side effects, Myth begins gathering a mass of fire in his mouth, and lets forth a massive fire symbol towards the opponents.(-8% energy). At the same time, the Pinsir once again stomps his short legs, causing yet another earthquake.(-8% energy) Yet it seems that once again the other teams has shielded itself, though the strain is beggining to take effect, as each shield takes massive blows...(-6% Energy Oak and Silver). Even bigger pieces of buildings begin tofall, this battle will soon take a turn for the worse...

Turn three is no different in the opening moveset, a large consumption of fire, and a massive earthquake.(-8% Energy Samson, -8% energy Myth). This time, a water spout nearby breaks, and water is sent pummeling at Samson. The bug is knocked back, not liking the water, but he quickly regains composure (-2% health Samson). The opponents once again try a defensive position, but Silver takes a little bit more time to produce the shield, and a bit of the flame sneaks through, doing a small bit of damage to the lairon, and he is able to get up a reeasonable shield.(-3% Health Silver, -6% Energy Oak and Silver). The buildings begin to wear down even more though, and large chunks begin faling to the street below, smashing into the Lairon's shield...Myth is moving hard trying to avoid the falling bits of stone...will they get hit?

    Oak, start with Double Team.

Then, use Rock Tomb on Samson.

Then, aim an Exrasensory at Myth, and try to mess with his mind. Try send him flying into a building!

Silver, you use Double Team too.

Then, use Shock Wave on Myth.

By your third move, Samson should have broken free. So hit him with Rock Slide.

    BATTLE!

And we are off with another exciting round in this Dark City battle. Chunks of stone from the buildings above continue to fall as the trainers issue their orders. The pokemon seem ready to attack, and its Team Dark Sage which starts us off. Both Silver and Oak start the round off by creating 3 clones each, giving the opposing team a large numberof targets.(-5% Energy Oak and Silver) Team Legend reacts almost immediatly, as Samson grabs some of the nearby stones and begins hurtling them at the opponents. As their are 8 total opponents in the near area of each other, the rocks bombard both pokemon and clone. Two of the rocks smack into Silvers, but they both just dissapear, clones! Oak is not so lucky, as one rock smacks a clone, but another pops him on the top of the head.(-3% Health Oak, -4% Energy Samson). Myth has the same idea in mind, only he developes a mass of small stars and sends them after Oak and Silver and the remaining clones. The accuracy is deadly, as Silver and his remaining clone are both struck, and oak loses one more clone, but avoids a direct hit.(-3% Health Silver, -4% Energy Myth) But its not over yet, as several of the falling rocks bombard the area, striking both the flying dragon and the Lairon.(-2% Health Myth and Silver)

And if that wasnt enough, Oak, currently angry from having been hit on the head Stomps hard on the ground, marshalling rocks to emerge and surround Samson. But they dont really seem to affect the pinsir too much, as his body has gone rigid and incredibly shiny. (-2% Health Samson, -2% Energy Samson, -3% Energy Oak). Extra falling rocks land on top of this pile, adding to the pressure being felt by samson, but it doesnt hurt him. While this melee is going on, Myth and Silver have a mini-battle of their own. Silver sends out small swift-like bolts of lightning as Myth sends out a barrage of glowing blue bubbles. The attacks collide in mid-air, causing an explosion of mini porportions, but enough to push the lairon back, and sends the dragonite flying in another direction. The nearby building also begins to crumple even more under the force of the attack.(-4% Energy Silver and Myth)

Oak now shifts his attention to the nearby dragon, as he sends a small compressed beam of psychic energy at the dragonite, causing a small bit of damage, and ever worse, tampering enough to cause him to fly into the nearby building. Oak begins to laugh with amusement, but that look quickly changes, as a staticy-glowing dragonite soon emerges, rushing head-on to the shiftry, striking him with intense furiocity.(-6% Health Myth, -5% Health Oak, -5% Energy Myth, -4% Energy Oak). Samson, now buried under several rocks, decides to use these to his advantage and hurl them at Silver. Silver, unfortunately, has the same idea, and hurls the rocks that fell on him earlier at the Pinsir. A spectacular burst of pebbles erputs as yet another pair of attacks collide in midair and the round comes to a close. (-4% Energy Samson and Silver) And it seems at last that the falling rocks have ceased, leaving the field "somewhat" safe for the next round...not including the full stream water spout still around from the last round...what will happen?

Silver, first use Shock Wave on Myth. Then use Roar on Blake to keep him from advancing. Then follow up with Rock Tomb, also on Blake.

Oak, use Double Team again. Then, shoot a Hyper Beam at Myth. Relax for the rest of the round.

    BATTLE!

Round 3 of this heated battle looks to be a good one as our angered pokemon once again recieve their orders. The hard, now blue and renamed Blake starts off by doing a little pep cheer for myth! The white dragonite begins to blush, but at the same time, becomes confident and empowered!(-1% Energy Blake, +3% Energy Myth). Myth then heads off to continue his angry-ness at Oak, only to find 4 Oaks instead of just one...a littel bit confused, he barrels into the first oak he sees, and smashes into nothing! the clone vanishes as Myth is suddenly hit from behind by a wave of electrical energy with mini-bolts. (-5% Health Myth, -3% Energy Myth, -5% Energy Oak, -4% Energy Silver)

Irritated, and suffering from a minor static shock, our Dragon friend moves in for yet another outrage, but once again, cant find anything but a clone. As he turns around, the real Oak is revealed, as the shiftry builds up a mass of glowing energy in his mouth, and shoots a massive beam directly at the Dragonite. Myth is sent shotting backwards from the power of the beam...smashing into a building near the Blake and Silver fight.(-8% Health Myth, -2% Energy Myth, -8% Energy Oak). As for the pinsir and lairon, Blake runs forward, power glowing in his arm, as he ruses to smack that annoying lairon. Silver has other ideas, as he lets out a massive ROAR! Blake immediately seizes up, and runs in the other direction. By the time he turns back, he is too far away to continue his attack. (-3% Energy Blake, -2% Energy Silver)

Myth is really feling the effects of his last hit...and he is slow on the get-up. The real Shiftry has been revelad, but he cant tell which is which, his head still scrambling. He moves across the field and just begins swinging...actually hitting the real Oak and causing the other clone to dissapear. Oak, who is resting can do nothing but take the attack, no matter how feeble it may be,(-3% Health Oak, -5% Energy Myth) Blake is now so far away from Silver, but wanting to still follow orders, he shakes off his intimidation and runs at the larion. However, this makes him an easy target, as he lairon stomps his foot on the ground. Confused, the pinsir keeps running...smack into a stone wall, that has appeared, now beggining to surround the pinsir. (-3% Health Blake, -2% Energy Blake, -4% Energy Silver) As the round comes to a clase, it seems Team Legend is reaping the effects.

Oak, use Roar on Blake again. Then use Aerial Ace on him. By then he should be close to you, so hit him with a Rock Smash.

Silver, use Shock Wave on Myth again. Then use Rock Slide. Then get up close, and use Iron Tail on him.

    [size=3]BATTLE!

With a big last round, Team Dark Sage decides to switch up their targets, Silver now focusing on Myth, and Oak now focusing on Blake. Oak starts off with an allmighty roar of his own, directing it at Blake. Blake however, being encased in a rock tomb, can barely hear anything on the outside, and therefore takes little effect from the attack. Blake, in his miniature fortress of rocks, slams his foot hard on the ground. At first it seems like nothing will happen, but then the earth begins shaking, and a massive crack in the ground rushes towards Silver...as Blake didnt know his literal opponent had changed...Silver is hit hard while attempting to send a wave of electrical energy at Myth, who just fends it off with a protective shield. Silver is sent hurtling back.(-5% Health Silver, -4% Energy Blake, -2% Energy Oak, -3% Energy Myth, -2% Energy Silver) The earthquake causes the rocks around Blake to crumble down, revealing our pinsir friend...

Oak, shaking off the tremble from the earthquake, rushes towards the bug pokemon and jumps into the air, coming down and slashing the bug pokemon, who begins hissing as he is hurt by the flying-type attack. (-5% Health Blake, -3% Energy Oak) Blake, now aware of his target change, once again steps hard onto the ground, causing the ground to shake once more, and another fissure-crack emerges, hurtling towards the Shiftry, who is also sent flying back by the massive attack. (-5% Health Oak, -5% Energy Blake) Oak lands about 10 yards away on the ground. This second earthquake is not without repercussions though, as the ground underneath Blake and Oak finally decides to give way, having been cracked and ripped to pieces...It collapses and both Blake and Oak fall into the sewer system below. (-2% Health Oak and Blake) Meanwhile, Silver has been taking rocks and throwing them at myth, who once again erects a small shield to protect himself...though the strain becomes more and more apparent as each rock hits the shield...(-3% Energy Silver, -5% Energy Myth).

Now underground...the pinsir and shiftry battle it out even more, as Shiftry gathers a lot of energy in his arm, and smashes onto the pinsir, just ashe does one of the worst things possible, taking another large stomp onto the ground. The blow knocks down the bug pokemon, but the tumult of shaking the ensues even consumes the shiftry, as the cracking sewars send another fissure that smacks into the shiftry. (-4% Health Blake, -6% Health Oak, -4% Energy Blake, -3% Energy Oak) The overly large tremor is felt above, as the ground starts to crack under the other two pokemon above ground. Silver lunges at Myth, his "tail" glowing with energy, as he brings it don hard upon yet another shield...Mth is straining unbearably against the force of the attack..so much to the point where the shield brakes...thankfully though, he doesnt receive any of the attack, which has ceased just in the nick of time...though it doesnt look as though this will be an option in the future for the dragonite, as not only does the round come to a close, but his veil of status-effect safety fades away into nothingness...(-6% Energy Myth, -4% Energy Silver)

Oak, try to concentrate on Blake. Use Brick Break three times. We'll see if he can keep up a Protect with three of those and three Earhquakes.

Silver, concentrate on Myth. Use Shock Wave three times. Try to get him good while he's making those Earthquakes.

    BATTLE!

After some heavy carnage in the last round, it doesnt look as though this round will be any different. Myth starts the round off by taking Blake's strategy from the last round, stomping his heavy foot on the ground, causing another large earthquake and fissures, heading once more towards the lairon. Silver is hit, but he stands strong, sending forth another shockwave attack to the dragonite, who is hit quite hard by the elctrical blast. (-4% Health Myth, -4% Health Silver, -5% Energy Myth, -3% Energy Silver) But the seimic activity does not stop above the ground, as Blake and Oak, who are now underground thanks to blake's last round attacks are bombarded by falling pieces of pavement from above. Blake has already errected a protective shield in an attempt to block Oak's attack, but instead, the rocks bombard both his shield and oak, injuring the shiftry, and putting a heavy strain on the Pinsir. (-3% Health Oak, -4% Energy Blake)

Oak gets up slowly, and concentrates more energy in his palm, striking down on the pinsir...or at least his second shield. Up above ground, the same action ensues...an earthquake fissure strikes silver, and he blasts back with a shock wave, but it seems this time that Myth muscles begin to tense up, and a small chance of paralysis might take effect... but thanks to the earthquake above, more rocks fall below, bombaring Oak once again, and smashing even more onto the shield, which has already taken a large amount of abuse, and breaks under the pressure. (-4% Health Myth, -4% Health Silver, -3% Health Oak, -5% Energy Blake, -5% Energy Myth, -3% Energy Oak, -4% Energy Silver)

And what changes for set 3? Nothing! Except for the fact that having his last shield busted, Blake find it very difficult to raise any form of shield, so he gets hit by oak's brick break, and the small shihe does erect soon after gets crushed by the force of the rocks sent down thanks to the earthquake, and blake gets hit by a couple of them as well...it looks as though this was a very tough round for all but Silver...who although he is tired, is the least injured and affected of the bunch...(-7% Health Blake, -4% Health Myth, -4% Health Silver, -3% Health Oak, -5% Energy Blake, -5% Energy Myth, -3% Energy Oak, -4% Energy Silver)

Okay, guys, we're ahead of them, lets use our heads.

Oak, I want you to use Dig to make your way to the surface, then use Strength to try to shove some debris on top of Blake. If he follows you to the surface, change plans - use Strength to sock him back down there! Then use Rock Tomb to bury him.

Silver, odds are they're going to try something bad, so first use Double Team. Then try to use Shock Wave on Myth again.

If he stays on the ground, run up to him and use Double Edge. If he takes to the air, use Shock Wave a second time.

If the Ref would read the rulings for Guillotine, he'd see that his command to Blake is impossible. A Pokemon can't use it if he's already doing something with his pincers, like holding an opponent using Vice Grip.

I ask the ref to consider this before he lets this very lethal move be inflicted on my pokemon twice after using Vice Grip, because unless he can think of a very good reason why it would actually work, I am going to be upset.

    BATTLE

Round 6 begins down below as Oak hops up and begins to try and dig his way up to the surface. When his body is halfway to making its hole, he is grabbed from behind by Blake down below, and he is pulled back, in the pinsir's grip. (-2% Energy Oak and Blake) Above ground, Silver goes into hyper mode, producing 3 clones of himself....while Myth sends forth a mass spray of bubbles, bombarding the nearby silver's, destroying two clones in the process. (-5% Energy Silver, -2% Energy Myth)

Now in the clutches of the pinsir, who is unable to perform his second attack due to his hold on the shiftry, Oak reaches for the nearest rock he can find, and smashes it into the bug pokemon. Pinsir releases and hisses in pain... (-5% Health Blake, -3% Energy Oak). Myth on the other hand is facing two opponents, and as he prepares to send forth another flurry of bubbles, his body seizes up with shock...not the best time, as the lairon sends forth another wave of shocking electric power, bolting into the dragonite, and causing him to cry in pain. (-4% Health Myth, -2% Energy Silver)

Back underground, the pinsir attempts one of the more lethal moves in his arsenal, a Guillotine grip with his pinsir's, but with very little accuracy, and a now encasing tomb of rock gathering around him, Blake is unable to fully approach the target, as he is taken in the rocks. (-2% Energy Oak) The final set of the round faces a dazed and shocked Myth attempting one last beam of bubbles, while Silver fires one more wave of electric energy. The result is a clash of energy halfway betwen the two pokemon, niether pokemon really experiencing an effect from it... (-3% Energy Myth and Silver)

    BATTLE!

Round 7 of this heated battles commences as down below, Blake decides to run from his opponent and digs upward, smashing into silver above, who is not expecting an attack from below. (-3% Health Silver, -2% Energy Blake) Silver, after getting hit, decides to unleash yet another set of silver clones, 4 to be exact. Oak just decides to follow his opponent above ground and view the wreckage that is now the dark city. (-5% Energy Silver, -1% Energy Oak) Myth, not wanting to be ignored, and now facing 6 lairons, charges ina powered-up fashion at the second from the left, hoping itto be the real silver...but alas, it is not, and he glides right through a copy. (-3% Energy Myth)

Silver now focuses another wave of electrical energy and bolts at the nearby dragonite, sending even more static shock through the dragonite's body and causing him to wail in agony. Blake seizes the oppurtunity to grab several nearby rocks and start launching them at silver and his clones. Only a few rocks are launched, however, as he is struck from behind by a charging Oak, and knocked to the ground. The flying rocks sail towards the 5 remaining silvers, and 2 clones, as well as the original silver are hit...(-2% Health Silver, -3% Health Blake, -2% Energy Oak, -2% Energy Blake, -2% Energy Silver) Myth tries once again not to be forgotten, as he tries to rush forward, but silvers last electrical attack causes him to seize up, his paralyzation taking effect.

Bummed out, Myth makes one final attempt at his charge, and succeeds, smashing into Silver, erasing his remaining clones in the process. Blake meanwhile is crawling out from under Oak, and ignores him, once again tossing rocks at Silver. Silver is bombarded by stones, but so unfortunately is the nearby dragonite, not yet having left his opponent. He turns around quite steamy at his partner, who he watches get kicked hard from behind, knocking him face forward onto the ground. Silver, at least wanting to let off his attack, stays on the ground, but sends forth some more electric waves, pelting the dragonite even further as the round comes to a close.(-7% Health Silver, -5% Health Myth, -5% Health Blake, -3% Energy Silver, -3% Energy Myth, -3% Energy Blake, -4% Energy Oak)

Silver, stay on Myth. That Dragon can't take much more of this. We'll take a risk and use Sunny Day. Possibly, the cursed weather of Dark City will cause more damage to a Bug if it's sunlight. Then we'll use Shock Wave again at Myth. If that grounds him, hit him with Double Edge. If not, use Shock Wave again.

Oak, you concentrate on Blake. First, use Fake Out. Then, use the sunlight to fire off a Solarbeam. Finally, fire a Razor Wind.

    BATTLE!

Round 8 of this heated battle commences as Myth starts off by producing an audible chime from his metaphysical self. The chime does its job,as not only does the fallen Blake rise, but the dragonite is seemingly cured from his paralysis. Blake goes to grab oak, but before he can, the dark tree quickly rushes forward with a breif, yet quick attack that causes Blake to flinch. Silver meanwhile focuses his attention at the cursed sky, making all the clouds dissapear, and causing the cursed sun to blaze down. This cursed sun provides a small bit of discomfort for all of the combatants, save the dark tree. (-2% Health Blake, -1% Energy Blake, -2% Energy Myth, -2% Energy Oak, -1% Energy Silver)

Not having Oak in his grasp as intended, Blake must try and rush forward to toss the Shifty, who has other plans. Using the blaring cursed sun, Oak sends forth a solarbeam of epic proportion, launching the bug pokemon back reeling. Silver tries to prepare another shock attack, but is foiled as Myth dives underground, escaping any attacks. (-7% Health Blake, -4% Energy Oak, -2% Energy Silver)

Now hidden underground, Myth relaxes a bit while silver focuses another electric attack at nothing. Blake, slow on the getup, presses his foot on the ground, and as Oak tries to send forth a mass of cursed gales, he is encased by crusjing rocks, as the round comes to a close. Silver, use Dig to retreat into the sewers. Then relax for the rest of the round.

Oak, use your own Dig to get out of that Rock Tomb. Then use it to attack Blake. Then use Extrasensory on Myth.

    BATTLE!

Taking a look at each pokemon, it doesnt look as though this set of pokes will be out much longer, but the trainers issue their orders, and another round commences. Oak decides to not pop out of his boulder-tomb, but instead decides to go underground, where he is joined by his partner Silver, both staying down. Team Legend cant do anything but stare in wonder as they attempt their attacks. Myth fires a set of electro-waves and bolts towards the now non-existant Oak, while Blake tries to mimic a previous attack, which is quite impossible, and even if he had used a regular mimic, would not be feasable, as he never saw Oak's attack. (-2% Energy Oak and Silver, -3% Energy Myth, -1% Energy Blake)

Silver decides to stay below ground and watch as Oak goes back up, smashing into Blake, knocking him away. Blake looks at his advesary, but he hasnt been ordered to attack him anymore, he focuses his attention now on the not-there Silver, trying to take advantage of the sun and fire a solarbeam. But in a mass of confusion, Blake realizes he doesnt know anything named Solarbeam.....its not one of his attack, so he just stands there in stupor, gathering energy for nothing.....Oak, seeing this, starts giggling, but stops when he is hit from behind by an electric shock from Myth. (-5% Health Blake and Oak, -5% Energy Myth, -3% Energy Oak, -2% Energy Blake, +3% Energy Silver)

Once again, Silver stays down, resting, while Blake concentrates his efforts on an attack he doesnt know and an enemy he cannot see or attack. Myth tries launching his wave of electricity again, while Oak sends a concentrated beam of psychic energy, so concentrated, that when it hits Myth, it causes him mental anguish, and he clutches his head, not able to see his attack hit Oak, who is once more bathed in electricity. (-5% Health Oak and Myth, -5% Energy Myth, -3% Energy Oak, -4% Energy Blake, +3% Energy Silver) As the round comes to an end, it seems a battle of two pokemon, both near the brink of passing out from exhaustion....

I attack first? Well Oak, I guess your big finishing move is out of the question - they'd Protect against it.

So, Oak... I want you to go out with a bang. First, use Solarbeam on Myth. Then use Extrasensory on him twice, if you are able to.

Silver, use Dig to burrow up and stike Blake. Then hit him with a Double Edge. Finsh up with an Aerial Ace.
