Arena: A Court of Law
The combatants do battle in a court of law to decide the fate of the defendant. This court is wide, accommodating most Pokémon. However, it is inside, so weather moves are ineffective, as are dirt- and body-of-water-based moves. However, ground-shaking moves will work, but at the same time, they'll cause the power to go out. The two lawyers in the room - one of whom is dressed in blue, wearing a red tie, and with spiky hair, the other wears a mauve suit with a cravat and neatly combed dark hair that hangs on either side of his face - will occasionally throw "OBJECTION!"s at each other, causing sound-based damage to one of the fighters if the judge sustains the objection. Also, straying too close to the lawyers or the judge will cause one of the lawyers to break out a "HOLD IT!", which freezes the Pokémon in place for an action. Finally, if one of the Pokémon incurs Damage Caps on the other, one of the lawyers will yell "TAKE THAT!", which restores a minimal amount of energy to the attacking Pokémon.
Round Six: Begin!
Every single spectator in the courtroom is on their feet and a deadly hush has fallen over the space. Ridley the shiny Charmander and Slinky the Spoink are about to collapse with exhaustion and their trainers have issued what could be the final set of commands… what will happen now?
Both TheBlueAvenger and his Charmander agree that they’ve fought the good fight for this round, and Ridley decides he’s going to go down—go down in style. He musters up the last of his energy, fights his stiffened muscles and begins to strut over to his opponent, trying his best to hide any traces of tiredness.You think you’ve won, eh, Bacon Lady? Ridley seems to say. Well, it ain’t over ‘til it’s over, pal… you think you can beat what my trainer’s got comin’ up next?! Huh, punk? Slinky, meanwhile, is trying to sit back and Relax, but is finding it rather difficult to do with Ridley Swaggering all over the place. Why, of course she can beat TBA’s next Pokémon! What an idiot that stupid lizard is for taunting her like this! And while Slinky’s body slowly begins to rest and regain its energy, her mind begins working faster and faster until all of her anger at Ridley’s gibes boils over; she’s so upset that she can no longer think straight and so cannot carry out her trainer’s secondary command of Taunting Ridley. It turns out, however, that this isn’t necessary. Ridley smiles; his work is done here. He gives a final thumbs-up to the defendant, pulls one last face at Slinky and makes one last very rude hand gesture at the prosecutor, then sinks to his knees and hits the ground. The golden salamander, after giving it his all, is finally too tired to continue any further.
The first match has come to an end: Ridley is too tired to keep fighting and so the match goes to the still very tired and now confused Slinky. The defendant groans; that’s one point against him. If TheBlueAvenger’s other two Pokémon can’t come through for him then he’s doomed… as TBA considers which of his Pokémon would be best to finish off the debilitated Slinky Ace64 lets out a sigh of relief. Slinky managed to pull through this time. The jury is stomping and cheering wildly again, applauding Slinky’s victory and Ridley’s valiant effort; they can’t wait to see what happens next.
