Im in ASB to battle - points arent what I get from them. If I didnt get any points I wouldn't mind (dont get any ideas). It's like when you go to a fancy resturaunt and get undercharged - you dont go specifically to get undercharged, but its a nice addition to add to the festivity of it all.

I would say try a no damage caps 5-5 at a time, 5 waves, ref going insane for 50 points, but it would speed up the match tremendously, and hell, for that, I may even start reffing again, lol

I was considering something I tried in an older match - double damage. That would speed things up a bit.

anyways, I think that would be a great idea and a great match to watch, but the damage for every attack will definitely need to be upped a bit, at least doubled

Cant see it working really since Pokemon have acess to TMs anyway. As for illegal TMs (such as Mega Horn, or one for Metal Claw, or flame wheel or stomp) but thatd be complicated keeping track and decding which Poke can learn which TM.

yah thats what I was getting at... well, I dont think it would be too hard to decide what pokes can learn what and such, but I see what you're saying, not a lot of moves to choose from anyways.

Speaking of 5 on 5's, I have a question. Why is it that if I do a five on five, one at a time, I get 10 points (for winning), but if I did 5 on 5, all out at the same time, I would only recieve five points for a victory?

I disagree - we have 386 Pokemon, with a handful not used in the ASB. Deciding which ones could learn attacks like Stomp would be hell - "nyah I think Clefable should learn it it has feet" "noes but it doesnt have hooves" "neither does exeggutor but he learns it naturally" etc. etc. etc.

And then we have the D/P generation.

Anyway there is one business. I think it goes well. The BT Forum is mainly for tournaments and contests, and to be honest I got the impression businesses ripped a new hole in the old ASB. This is the New ASB and if we incorporate all the elements of the Old ASB.....then it'll be exactly the same.

The only buisness i could suggest is the breeding park.

If someone has a pokemon and wishes to breed it so they have another (Trade fodder etc) then by Paying, and handing that pokemon over (say for a few days) for it to breed, and so unable to battle would receive their old pokemon back, and the baby version.
So Charizard would produce a Charmander obviously.

Since straight capture costs 2 points this should only cost 1 and have the time limit as the other 'cost'.
Its kinda like the Egg center though while it removes the randomness of what you get, the downfall is you can never get something that you havent already got....see what i mean?

I'm not trying to bring back all the old businesses of the old ASB because from my own experience that's what turned this place to crap 5 or however many years ago (I dont remember), I'm just trying to think of something more... I agree that the Egg Center is great, i think so too.. I'm just thinking.. thinking of what more could be done here... just trying to discuss some ideas... I hope other people have some too

since we have the approval tower breeding and safari zones serve very little purpose other than being a novelty, but this is a novel place so if people want it we could intergrate it.

We are going to be hosting a lottery style event, too, but we might wait until tournaments die down etc.

Well the restriction id place on the Breeding center would be that only the owner of the pokemon can pay for the process.
Otherwise we'd have people going round looking at peoples teams and begging them to breed a pokemon for them so they get what they want for less points.
It does mean that come the next Christmas tree there will be less 'random' presents lol.

Or you could just give two points to one person, instead of one point to two. When in doubt, just give cash, I always say.

Thats understandable. To be honest this breeding idea of mine is too spur some life into the Trading tower. That is VERY quiet at the moment and alot of pokemon id be willing to trade to have in my team.

Yeah I'm putting it to good use. It's a Kadabra right now and the next battle it'll be in I'll probably evolve her. Probably after I evolve Spookster. Haunter and Kadabra can make a good double team partner I think.

I'd love to ref a REAL battle, with no damage caps and everything being totally brutal and violent. No death or anything, but if a large pokemon used Bite on a small one it would crush them, or pokemon would be bleeding out and have broken limb and stuff... ok maybe that's a bit too far, but without caps on, i'm sure there would be a lot of damage done. I also don't think any moves should be banned from such a battle.
