With a good distance separating the two Pokemon, as well as both combatants being rather tired, the round starts off relatively calmly. Lily begins by once more adopting a lotus position while floating on the water... or as good a position as she can while still being trapped in ice. She sends out a silent prayer once more to the gods of weather, and once more they bend to her whim. The rainclouds magically clear up, replaced instantly by a bright, shining sun. (-6% EN Lily) Keyest takes this as her cue to begin applauding the Ludicolo's action. The sound of hudnreds of people applauding reaches Lily's ears, and a spotlight shines on her, making her momentarily forget her next action. (-4% EN Keyest)
The ice surrounding her melts, and Lily finds herself free to do whatever she wants. Currently, what she wants is to please her audience. Lily continues in her sitting position to pray, and to answer her, the sun becomes that much brighter, pleasing Lily, but making Keyest rather uncomfortable. (-6% EN Lily) Speaking of Keyest, she takes the opportunity to relax, recovering some precious energy. (+5% EN Keyest)
Lily's mind clears, and she suddenly remembers her trainer's orders. Even though there's a sizeable distance between the two, Lily knows that her attack will have no trouble reaching. Charging up for but a moment, Lily releases a beam of scathingly hot solar energy. Boosted considerably by the intense sun, it has no problems reaching Keyest, bowling her over and sending her skidding back. (-13% HP Keyest, -8% EN Lily) Keyest stands back up and tries as hard as she can to summon a wave, and she does so: from the water lapping at the shores, she creates a huge wall of water. She mentally manipulates it into flying at Lily... but the combination of the heat and the distance, not to mention that Keyest is trying to send the wave opposite the direction of all the other waves crashing into the shore, makes it so that the wave doesn't reach Lily with any sort of power. Woah! Thanks for waiting, I had no Idea I'd let this go for this long.

Keyest, I think we've got a very large problem on our hands. I know you're tired, and there isn't much I can do to help you, but if you're willing to help me, I need you to take Lily down as far as you can while you're still around to do some damage.

First, with Lily very exausted, and far out in the water, I think we have an advantage for the moment. First, we use Aroura Beam, reflecting the beam off of the water to do even more damage if possible. Even better, the reflection will be made even more intense by the sun.

Now, we need to do some major relaxing. You'l need the energy and speed for when Lily gets back in fireing range.

Slip into the water, and try to relax. If Lily sends an attack your way, slip under water, and wait for it to pass overhead. Dodge while using as little energy as possible, like I said, we're going to need it.

Dive, to try to dodge that Aurora Beam. Then relax for the rest of the round. Even if it hits you, you should last one more turn. Then we'll unload on her.

This round starts off simply. Keyest focuses her energy for a brief moment, then spits out a narrow ray of condensed ice crystals. The sun, shining heavily, refracts through the beam, making it look pretty, but unfortunately, it also melts it a bit, shaving off a lot of its power. Not that it matters, of course, since just before the attack can make contact, Lily dives underwater, narrowly dodging the beam. (-3% EN Lily, -4% EN Keyest)
While Lily stays underwater, Keyest scoots the short distance into the water's embrace. Both Pokemon take their time relaxing; the end of the round takes quite some time to come so they both have ample opportunity to recover. (+10% EN Lily + Keyest)

Thunder claps and clouds roll over the sunny sky as this round begins. At first, the source in unknown, leaving spectators a little unnerved, but before long, it's confirmed to be Keyest, performing an underwater Rain Dance. Lily, also underwater, takes the opportunity to surface, enjoying the cold draps of rain. She seems very relaxed, not having to worry for the moment about attacking. (-7% EN Keyest, +5% EN Lily)
Keyest then surfaces, and as per Lily's commands, she tries to use Solarbeam... but find that it's taking an aggravatingly long time, due to the rain. Lily has no recourse but to slowly charge solar energy. Meanwhile, Keyest realizes that she must perform a Whirlpool attack... but she's a good distance away from Lily. Frowning, the Seel begins to paddle out to Lily. After a little bit, she reaches her, but by this point, Lily has had ample time to charge her Solarbeam. Before Keyest can begin swimming around Lily to create a whirlpool, she is blasted by a rain-weakened Solarbeam. (-8% HP Keyest, -2% EN Keyest, -8% EN Lily)
Lily and Keyest both look at each other weakly - both of them are at the end of their proverbial ropes. However, while Lily takes the moment to try and chill, Keyest decides to try and make Lily chill as well... but in an entirely different way. Mustering up the last of her energy, Keyest summons a cold, whipping wind that blows across the ocean and swirls past Lily. Unfortunately, due to her lack of energy, the Blizzard's power is weakened. Lily gets blasted by the Blizzard, but that's more than can be said for Keyest... (-9% HP Lily, -7% EN Keyest, +5% EN Lily)

OK, this is a bit of a problem, and I'm not quite sure what I casn do about it. I had expected Lily to be the biggest problem from the start.

OK, I think for my next Guardian Namesake, I choose Tryce.

My Voltorb may not have much experience, but it's fast, and an electric type in the4 rain against a weakened Water type. Sure Grass may have some resistance, but I'm hoping to close this in a hurry.

You know, I kind of wished I hadn't agreed to the Ban on Thunder Wave now.

You're faster, and before Lily uses that Sunny Day we know that Dark Sage is so fond of, use a Taunt.

Next, since most of Lily's attacks are special, we use a Light Screen to cut any damage we take. That's just in case we're hit though, dodge if at all possible.

Lastly, use a Thunder before the rain clears.

Then, hit it with a point-blant Hydro Pump.

A ball thrown to the ground, a flash of light... taking Keyest's place is a charged up and ready to go Voltorb, Tryce. Without wasting a moment of its time, Tryce bursts into a barrage of brutal insults, jabs and taunts as loud as it can, making absolutely certain that Lily can hear them. And hear them she does. Lily grinds her teeth in anger and immediately begins power-swimming for the shore, fire lighting in her eyes. Tryce hasn't even finished taunting before it notices Lily at the water's edge, noticeably fuming. (-2% EN Tryce, -4% EN Lily)
Tryce glances back to his trainer, a little nervous facing this ticked-off Mexican yeti pineapple duck. Upon seeing its trainer's reassuring nod, Tryce closes its eyes and focuses; momentarily, a translucent orange barrier appears in front of the Voltorb. It disappears just as suddenly, but the effects are still felt: for the buff's duration, Tryce is better protected against special attacks. ...or at least it would be, if it weren't for Lily. The Ludicolo charges at Tryce, her fist swathed in a brown aura. She slams her fin as hard as she can into the Voltorb, and the protective barrier that Tryce had constructed shatters harmlessly, leaving Tryce to roll back. (-9% HP Tryce, -5% EN Tryce, -6% EN Lily)
Tryce shakes its head and rolls back into an upright position. It glares at Lily, who is now noticeably panting. The two Pokemon begin their respective attacks at the same time: Tryce by sparking and storing electrical energy, and Lily by summoning up the elemental force of water. Both attacks fly from their respective casters and pass by in midair: Lily gets struck by a heavy bolt of lightning, throwing her back, and a pillar of water slams into Tryce - even though the Hydro Pump was weakened by Lily's lack of energy, the rain helps replenish it. (-12% HP Lily, -11% HP Tryce, -8% EN Tryce, -5% EN Lily)
Speaking of Lily's lack of energy, she collapses into a heap, completely unconscious.

As for the Psychic, use Teleport so Yumi can't get a lock on you.

Last, is a little tricky. Use Teleport high abobe Yumi's head, where she won't be able to see you, then go into a falling Rollout attack. Even if she uses Ice Beam straight up at you, you'll still squash the poor Jynx.

My appoligies. I was under the impression that the Teleport would be a series of short bursts, ending in the divebomb. In this form, it's obviously a single movement.

Just skip the first part, and Teleport straight into the Rollout, while Dodging the Psychic attack.

With a fresh and chipper Jynx replacing the fallen Lily, the battle commences. Tryce begins by focusing its energy on creating another barrier much like the one it had constructed last round... but finds that it's rather difficult. From the other side of the arena, Tryce can hear the mournful wailing of Yumi. Tryce is immediately distracted from its work and looks up, obviously unsettled by Yumi's sudden display of emotion. As Tryce begins to roll towards Yumi to try and figure what the heck is going on, an evil smirk runs across the Jynx's face. Just in time, Tryce realizes that Yumi was playing it for a fool. Tryce focuses and winks out of existance just as a rippling, transparent blast of psychic energy blows past the point where the Voltorb had been sitting. Yumi pouts as she glances around, trying to locate the missing Voltorb. (-5% EN Yumi, -4% EN Tryce)
Suddenly, a noise above Yumi's head alerts her to Tryce's location. She glances upward and immediately points her arms up, charging up a mass of ice energy. just as Tryce begins its freefall, she releases her Ice Beam - the beam impacts with Tryce, but the Voltorb plows through, the force of gravity controlling it. Spinning madly, it slams into Yumi and rebounds off, landing unelegantly in the sand. (-9% HP Tryce, -8% HP Yumi, -6% EN Yumi, -3% EN Tryce)

I know this didn't work before, but set up a Light Screen one more time. She won't be able to get close enough to do one of those nasty Brick Break attacks without getting in the water.

Speaking o water, let's fry her up with a Thunder attack, garunteed to hit in this Rain.

If she gets any ideas of swimming after you (or forming an Ice Bridge to walk on) just hit a Thunderbolt.

With a single 'click,' Tryce starts this round off by teleporting into the ocean's cold embrace. However, because its average density is lower than that of the ocean, it does in fact float, keeping the Voltorb out of range of Yumi for now. Meanwhile, Yumi fans out into a line of 5 identical Yumis... but her expression turns to one of disappointment as the rain falls through and destroys every single clone. (-6% EN Tryce, -4% EN Yumi)
Tryce grins (or as much of a grin as a Voltorb can muster) and shuts its eyes. A golden barrier appears in front of it and almost immediately sinks into its skin, endowing the Voltorb with boosted special defense. However, sharp pinpricks of ice send Tryce's eyes shooting open: Yumi has been focusing on changing the weather, making the rain just a little colder and turning it into hail. (-5% EN Tryce, -6% EN Yumi)
Both Pokemon close their eyes and focus as they prepare to unleash devistating attacks. From Tryce's side, the Voltorb begins to crackle and spark with electrical energy. Meanwhile, Yumi is moving her hands in small circles and preparing a powerful blast of frozen water. The two launch their attacks at the same time - Yumi blasts the distanced Tryce with an Ice Beam and Tryce zaps the Jynx with a heavy Thunder. However, Yumi walks away from the exchange more harmed due to Tryce's Light Screen. (-12% HP Yumi, -7% HP Tryce, -7% EN Tryce, -6% EN Yumi)
As the round ends, the hail pelts Tryce, irritating him. (-2% HP Tryce)

Oh boy, I just realised, I may be safe, but it's not like Tryce has much mobility out in the ocean. Time for a tactics change.

OK, with Light Screen stunting the damage from special attacks, we best go for the normal ones, start off with Swift.

Second, that Sing is going nowhere. Send out a Screetch to disrupt it, and cause a bit of pain to Yumi as well.

Third, use a Quick Attack to get back in the battle, and avoid the Blizzard to boot.

Yumi begins this round much like how Tryce acted in the last round: she performs an intricate little dance and summons a golden barrier in front of her. The barrier fades, but the effects do not: the Light Screen has increased her elemental defense. However, her satisfaction over completing the attack is cut short - quite literally - as dozens of small golden stars zoom across the beach and straight at her. The accurate Swift swoops past her, cutting her on the way. (-6% HP Yumi, -5% EN Yumi, -4% EN Tryce)
Yumi scowls and then clears her throat. She strides up to the water's edge and begins to sing a beatiful lilting song, the music echoing across the beach. However, the serenity does not last long: before the song can reach it, Tryce lets out a loud, terrible Screech. The grating sound waves overpower the soft song and Tryce takes great joy in seeing its opponent cringe and cover her ears. As Tryce stops the awful noise, Yumi lets her hands off of her ears, looking slightly dazed. (-2% EN Yumi, -3% EN Tryce)
Yumi closes her eyes and begins to focus, seeing that her song had no effect whatsoever. A cold wind begins to pick up around the beach, and Tryce begins to panic. The Voltorb has been ordered to Quick Attack out of the way, but no Voltorb can learn that move. The Blizzard takes full form as Tryce resigns himself to the pain - the icy wind swishes across the ocean and strikes Tryce, pelting it with ice and snow and covering it with an icy coating. (-10% HP Tryce, -9% EN Yumi)
The hail comes down again, adding insult to injury. (-2% HP Tryce)
