arena Let's take it easy. A seaside resort- battles can take place along the shore, or within the town itself. The town is composed of several shops (tourist traps, complete with tourists for bashable fun.) Cars line the curbs, but the streets are empty. It is a lazy Sunday. On the west side of the island is a small park in a forest clearing.

round one the almighty ref has deemed it fit that the battle should begin by yonder beach on which the waves roar and Krabby do patter across the silvered sands in the wee hours of the morning doing whatever it is that they do. With another great effort, the ref doth determine that the time should be midmorning, when the suns rays doth not beat down their fulleth.

From the far left cometh an overgrown bug, its appendages of steel do glint cruelly, and form the other, a muscled creature roughly resembling something of human persuasion doth appear to answer the challenger’s call. Their trainers watch from a mound nearby, both seemingly mere observers to the battle beneath, instead of the manipulators.

The Great Sword, or Zoke, shimmers, and begins the dance of illusion around the Machop. Zake, seemingly much impressed by this display claps, mentally rewiring his opponent’s mind without Zoke even realising(4% - Zoke, 3% - Zake).

Zoke’s form continues to circle Zake’s, but Zake worries not, his eyes emitting beams of a crimson hue that bath the arena in the otherworldly light, shattering all illusions(the beach becomes ugly and litter ridden, the waters turn grey and ugly, the expensive looking seaside resort turns out to be a few weatherbeaten huts…*the referee grins and waves her hands and makes this not-so and all is restored to relative normalcy*), but Zoke’s images are gone(4% - Zoke, 4% - Zake).

Acting as if nothing has happened, Zoke charges forward, razor-sharp blades raised, glowing with an eye blindingly bright light that smashes down hard onto Zake, but Zake does not despair, countering with his burning fists of flame, reminiscent of some old Kung-fu movies, knocking Zoke back a few paces, throwing up a shower of sand behind him( 12% - Zake, 3% - Zoke, 14% - Zoke, 4% - Zake) .
