frylock experimented with the Missingno. glitch to see if it was dangerous. Naturally, since he were trying to prove that it was, he deliberately did some of the most dangerous things a person can do with the glitch, and sure enough his game promptly bought the farm.

Umm, Pory, I think that Lady Vulpix was the one who edited this post, so she was the one who made the question.Originally Posted by Poryhedron
Anyway, frylock did this experiment because he said that he has the games in his emulator. This was a good way to prove that using glitches can be bad, real bad.

Thank you everyone... for being so kind and for bringing out the best in me! You are definitely awesome! ^_^
Yeah, I realize that now. I guess I'll go back and edit all of the "You"s to "frylock"s.Originally Posted by shinypkmnchaser

Hey, I just got back from a mini-vacation, but I will be sure to edit it tommorrow, just because it is really late...
Also, I'm gonna do some testing with other glitchey pokemon, that were famous with RBY, such as LM4, and I actually have had those glitches before, and do know that they are pretty crazy, and perfectly obtainable with or without use of a cheating device. I'm also gonna mess around with cheats for cheat devices that seem fake, or like they're just too good to be true, like the walk through walls glitch, and some stuff with the Glitch City/Blue Hell.

If I remember correctly, frylock caught a Missingno, which corrupted his Pokemon's data. I don't believe the Rhydon shown was originally named BABB, although I could be wrong. Anyway, it screwed up the Pokemon icons almost immediately, transforming some of them into people. Later, Rhydon's in-battle image was corrupted, and later the entire game simply died.
Of course, since frylock is back, I suppose he could tell you better himself. But since you asked me to help, Gabi, there you have it.
i have caught a missingno to get a few Pokemon, but nothing has happened to my game yet (well i dont know since i haven't played it in a VERY long time... :p) and yes, using the Glitch City cheat is bad, so dont always use it...although when im bored and have tons of cash, i would use it to keep me alive lol.....

I don't ever catch Missingno. The only time I interact with Missingno. or Block 'M Chip is just to meet it and flee from it, thus getting over a hundred of the item in my sixth inventory slot. I think the only thing this screws up is the Hall of Fame, and I really don't value that. Heck, sometimes I'll go view the HoF after meeting Missingno. just to be entertained by the wackiness.
