Well, I have another going but this will be the first one if it's finished before the other. And this is Katara's and Aang's first battle.

It took me a while to figure out your arena (and the points I should put my guys) but I think this will be an interesting battle.

Me! XDXD.. I have to ref this one.

Though I have some questions about the arena. Is the "B" part on the map found by diving underwater and swimming up to it? Or is it different. :/

Okay, I've been gone all day but back ready to rumble. Thanks for reffing, Saffire Persian!

Okay guys, this is our first battle so let's start this off with a bang! Katara, use an Ice Beam to make a slide to the water and push yourself into it! Then, use an Icy Wind attack to chill things up a little. Finish this off with a Double Team!

Katara: Ice Beam to water ~ Icy Wind ~ Double Team

Okay Aang, you're up! Try out an Agility to get you moving faster! Next, use an Air Cutter to get them down a little! Finish this off with a Reflect to shield yourself!

Okay, Pendragon, use Rollout and roll straight into the water. Keep using Rollout, and try to use it in a circular motion with the plane parallel to the opening to try and create a whirlpool. Just keep that going. If you can't keep the Rollout going underwater, send Water Pulses at Katara.

Meanwhile, Axel, I want you to run through the opening between the wall in front of you and the wall to your right. Then send a Flamethrower at Aang. Finally, use Fire Spin into the opening of the body of water.

    PENDRAGON - Rollout ~ Rollout/Water Pulse->Katara ~ Rollout/Water Pulse->Katara
    AXEL - Run through opening ~ Flamethrower->Aang ~ Fire Spin~pool of water

Just as a quick question (I've got the reffing pretty much done)

Your pokemon start at either point B1 or B2.
But Bison Woes' Aang is starting at A1
and I'll send out Aang, male Pidgey, at point A1.
Is that a typo, or if it's not, is it allowed?

Well, if it isn't a typo, it's impossible because all that's left for Aang is B1.

    ~Round 1 Start~

The combatants are getting impatient, standing on various sides of this custom made arena owned by the Kevvaelli, one of the trainer’s who will be battling today. He has chosen his Squirtle, named Pendragon, with his partner being a male Ponyta named Axel. Lets see if Axel can live up to Kingdom Hearts II counterpart and blast the competition out of the water.

On the other side of the playing field, Bison Woes has sent out Katara and Aang, a Seel and a Pidgey respectively. Both Pokémon seem to be on good terms with each other, and I doubt either of them will have problems working together in this battle today. Lets hope the air and waterbender can overcome their tough competition.

Off to the side, a bell dings, and the battle begins.

Aang and Axel both fly forth. The Ponyta darts behind one of the walls just as the Pidgey darts up into the blue sky, leaving trails of air behind him as he picks up speed. He can see both Katara and her opponent below, as well as his own as the Ponyta sticks his head out behind the cement barrier. A Flamethrower erupts out of Axel’s mouth and Aang is forced into a quick barrel row to dodge the attack, pulling back up again with a hardy flap of his brown wings. The fire attack clips his wings, slightly singing the very tips, but Aang appears relatively unharmed. The Pidgey then sends a quick blast of air from his wings that takes a corporeal arrow shape. The attack is quick and fast, striking the Ponyta right in his unprotected face before Axel could know what hit him.

Katara, meanwhile, is sliding towards the water on her Ice Beam made slide. She seems to be having a fun time going down it, landing into the water with a loud splash. From point A2, Pendragon comes hurtling forward, curled up in a ball, and heading towards Katara at great speed. His curled body launches into the air, and he manages to smack the poor Seel in the face as he cannonballs into the water.

Katara grimaces, rubbing her sore face with a white fin as she blasts extremely cold air into the water, lowering the temperature considerably. Mostly unhurt, Pendragon shivers, not used to the artic waters, unlike Katara. He can’t keep up his rollout in the water, as it was made for ground, not a liquidy arena such as itself, so Pendragon contents himself at aiming a stream of supersonic water at Katara’s exposed belly.

It hits, and Katara squeals in surprise as the Supersonic vibrations course through her body, though she retains her sound mind, splitting into three identical clones that swim with ease through the water, watching their tiny turtle opponent. One clone is unfortunately vanquished as another Water Pulse surges through the water on Pendragon’s account.

Meanwhile, Aang is doing what he does best: dodging. Axel has certainly not forgotten the embarrassing blast of sharp air that hit him in the face, whinnying as he sends another burst of flame at the water (which, sadly, there is no whirlpool). Aang easily dodges the stream of flames, quickly erecting a transparent glass-like shield around himself, but Katara’s clone is taken by surprise, and it takes only moments for the pseudo Katara to vanish, and only a few more seconds longer for the Fire Spin to sputter out and die.

    Notes :

    • I don’t think Rollout could make a whirlpool. However, there is a move that Squirtle likely knows that can.
    • Kevvaelli attacks first, then Bison Woes

Hmm... No for EKOs. Oh, and *applauds* for the references, the only one that you probably didn't get was Pendragon's name comes from a book series by DJ MacHale, called Pendragon. I didn't think the Rollout would hold, but it would've been pretty cool if it had

Pendragon, use Whirlpool to stop Katara from bothering you while you create your own clones with two Double Teams.

Whirlpool ~ Double Team ~ Double Team

Axel, use a Quick Attack at Aang and quickly follow it up with a Fire Blast. Now that there is a whirlpool, shoot another Fire Spin at the pool to warm it up and cause some damage to Katara.

    Nice reffing, Saffire Persian XD

All right, Aang, let's start off with you. Meet the Ponyta with a Steel Wing attack when it comes at you! Next, use a Whirlwind to try and disintergrate the Fire Blast coming at you! Finish this round off with a Swift Attack!

Aang: Steel Wing ~ Whirlwind ~ Swift

Okay, Katara, your turn. Fire an Ice Beam at the water to try and freeze it a little to prevent that Whirlpool from popping up! Next, use an Encore to keep Squirtle from attacking! Finish this round off with using Icicle Spear to destroy the clones!

    ~Round 2 Start~

It certainly has been an interesting match so far between Bison Woes and Kevvaelli, and each Pokémon seems to be [relatively] enjoying themselves. Round two commences with much pomp and circumstance and anticipation. (Or maybe not, but it sounds nice).

Anyway, our ever-positive Aang and irritated Axel are first to face off again. The Ponyta leaps forward in a burst of speed, running headlong at his Pidgey opponent, who, to his surprise, is dashing towards him, his wings glowing an odd color. Axel’s eyes slant as he picks up speed. Aren’t opponents supposed to run away from him? – Very quickly, I might add.

Ah well. The Ponyta decides that if Aang wants to ram himself into him, he doesn’t mind. It’d be just like a Spearow against a windexed window, right?

    Well… almost, but not quite.

The Ponyta is met by a very annoying and forceful Steel Wing right in the face. Axel whinnies in pain, but that does not stop his attack from continuing. The force of Axel’s Quick Attack certainly overpowers the small Pidgey (who’s size is something along the lines of Momo being compared to Appa), and Aang is flung to the ground by the force (though his Reflect helps with the damage). And Aang by luck, and luck only, narrowly avoids being trampled by Axel’s sharp hooves as he runs a few feet passed him, slowing down to a halt, turning to give Aang a very nasty glare.

Aang, picking his feathery self up, quickly realizes he’s on the ground. He notices that the Ponyta is giving him a very dirty look. Smiling in a fake-happy sort of fashion, he waves a wing at the Ponyta, who snorts in derision, and opens his muzzle wide and unleashes a very deadly looking fire attack that takes the form of a mystical Japanese kanji.

Aang’s look quickly fades into a startled one, and he has no time to pick himself back up into the air, so he settles with flapping his wings. Very quickly. The ensuing wind picks up, and some of the Fire Blast’s flames begin to scatter about, making a terrific fireworks show; however the Whirlwind does not completely stop the fire attack, and its diminished form hits Aang in the chest. It leaves the small of charred feathers in its wake, as the fire-type attack hits the wall and dies. Though a bit charcoaled, Aang seems to have gotten away fairly unhurt, his Whirlwind having lessened the attack’s impact, and flies into the air again.

Rewinding back to the start of the round, we go over to the pool, where Pendragon and Katara are currently facing off. Katara goes first, sending a rippling stream of artic energy across the water. It lowers the water’s temperature even more, and a small part of it is coated in a thin layer of ice. Katara smirks at her handiwork, though it fades a bit as Pendragon (though shivering underneath the water) smiles evilly back.

He begins to swim around and around in a tight circle, and a small whirlpool begins to form. The water molecules begin to shift and the ice layering the water (including the bits of it in the water underneath) easily breaks apart at the spinning movements.

It seems Katara forgot one simple thing: moving water never freezes.

And the Whirlpool equates that, and quickly shifts the still, serene water into a raging whirlpool that cracks the ice and sends it flying in the twisting water-tornado’s downward spiral.

Another unfortunate thing: Katara and her clone get caught up in it. The clone, sadly, doesn’t survive it and vanishes. Katara, however, is made of sterner stuff, though she now resembles a white frog in a blender. The attack doesn’t seem to be doing much damage-wise to her, though all this spinning is making her really dizzy, and not even her superb swimming skills can free her out of the whirlpool’s grasp.

Pendragon laughs at the sight and quickly begins his Double Teaming run. He splits into three identical Pendragons, which all laugh and smirk at Katara’s predicament… that is, until she starts clapping and cheering (in a rather deranged, dizzy fashion, but still, it’s cheering.

The Squirtle cocks his head as he eyes his spinning foe, wondering how the heck she finds his Double Teaming anything worth applauding about. He comes to the conclusion that her brain must’ve gotten addled from his very, very impressive Whirlpool, and that she probably was seeing doubles of his very good-looking self anyway, and must want more. …So how can he not oblige?

Immedialty, he splits into another three Squirtles, his Double Teaming run turning into more of a marathon. The Whirlpool is slowing to a stop, and Katara tries to summon up an Icicle Spear, but with all that whirling, it really does no good, and makes her even dizzier than she already is. Not to mention a searing Fire Spin courtesy of Axel nearly hit her just now. Though since it didn’t hit, it merely warmed up the water a bit before fizzling out.

Katara can only wonder what Aang is up to, and from the frustrated neigh, she guesses Axel must’ve been hit Axel in the face again. Aang seems to enjoy doing that.

Finally, the whirlpool stops, Katara gratefully floats about dizzily on the water, seeing roughly fourteen Pendragons surrounding her. One of which is real, six of which are clones, and the rest are merely a by-product of Katara’s dizziness.

That was a wonderful battle description.

Katara, excellent job! You got the Encore in and everything. Now, let's go for widespread attack to let your dizziness calm down. Give the Squirtle a Surf attack and let's see if we can hit the Ponyta on the way! Next, give yourself a small break and just give the Squirtle a Disable. Finish this round off with a Waterfall right on Squirtle!

Katara: Surf ~ Disable ~ Waterfall to Squirtle

All right Aang, you're doing great! Stay up in the air away from the Surf attack and prepare yourself with a Double Team! Now, let's go in and give the Squirtle a Faint Attack as it finallyt stops using Double Team! Finish this round off with a Swift to Axel!

Aang: Double Team ~ Faint Attack to Squirtle ~ Swift to Axel

Well, Pendragon, since you're forced to, use Double Team twice. Then, start another Whirlpool.

Pendragon: Double Team ~ Double Team ~ Whirlpool

Axel, quickly hide behind one of the walls, or if you can't, behind one of the larger rocks. Once the Surf is done with, Bounce on Aang. Finally, use another Fire Spin, also on Aang.

Axel: Hide ~ Bounce ~ Fire Spin

    ~Round 3 Start~

Well, the crowd is certainly getting in to this battle – few though they number. Consisting of only Aang’s small group (shame Toph can’t see anything) and the members of the infamous Organization XIII (Demyx of which is supplying the music with a dramatic Guitar-styled flair).

Suffice to say, Sokka and Demyx are getting along just great .

The pause between the attacks and orders has long since passed, and the combats are once more flying into battle with swift wings, flippers, hooves, and paws. Pendragon is the first to start off the round, whistling at Katara to catch her attention as he splits into another four duplicated clones, looking quite pleased with himself. After all, deranged or not, she was he one who had called for an Encore. Katara, still trying to buy as much time as possible to regain back her equilibrium, dizzily claps her flippers in a sarcastic “Well, good for you” manner.

Aang, of course, didn’t understand that, having only seen her clapping in apparent enjoyment at her foes display. Aang’s eyes narrow darkly. and with his current equine opponent fleeing behind the nearest wall with gusto, he spares no expense at glaring at Pendragon in the most venomous fashion.

Without hesitance, the tiny bird bolts towards the pool, picking up speed as he does a series of fancy loop-de-loops before splitting into not one, not two, but five clones who flap about in the air, all trying desperately to catch their partner’s attention. Below, Pendragon can’t help but roll his eyes and point to his ten turtled crew gathered around him, smirking.

    Aang is far from amused.

Katara, however, notices none of this, fully focused on trying toe waterbend. Slowly, the sapphire water begins to rise at her bidding. It bubbles and writhes as it is pulled upwards, forming a large, cresting wave that would have put Master Pakku’s to shame. Smirking in devilish delight, Katara opens her eyes and sends the wave forward. The Surf decimates the clones, killing them sending the real Pendragon on a one-way collision course with the side of the pool. But it doesn’t stop there.

Axel, currently mumbling over state of his face, hears a dull roar and peeks his head around the wall he’s hiding behind. The horse’s eyes widen as he spots the giant wave coming towards him. With a loud crash it hits the wall with murderous intent. The wall shudders from the force, but holds true, and the wave breaks, retreating back into the pool, leaving a dry and very thankful Axel in its wake.

With the water gone, Axel’s head once more snakes around the barrier. His keen coal-black eyes scour the arena for Aang spotting him – well, five of him – just ahead … over water.

Axel may be many things in life: heartless, fearless, powerful… but one thing’s for sure, he ain’t stupid. No siree. He’s no circus pony.

Axel knows just as well as the Avatar himself that elements of Fire and Water just don’t mix. What does his trainer expect him to do? Go prancing over all happy-go-lucky like Bambi and jump into the pool, (all the while hoping that he’ll hit the real Aang on the way)?

Axel throws a very despairing glance at his Trainer just as Aang vanishes into thin air. (He reappears seconds later to attack Pendragon, who apparently is unable to move.)

Kevvaelli, ever optimistic, merely gestures his gallant steed onward with a thumps up sign. Axel snorts out fire and rolls his eyes. Maybe if Aang had as hard of a head as Roxas he could bounce off of him and onto the cement again.

Axel pauses. Then, he takes off running.

He picks of speed, his hard hooves clattering against the arena floor. His muscles tense, coiling like springs, and he can see Pendragon’s eyes meet his, wide with disbelief. Obviously panicking, Pendragon manages to point towards an Aang as if to say “ That’s the one who hit me! ”.

Axel leaps into high into the air, looking for the Aang Pendragon pointed to, adjusting his collision course as best he can to hopefully hit his opponent, or, if not possible, quickly learn how to swim. Seconds later, he collides with a very real Aang, or rather Aang’s Reflect. The transparent shield buckles at the impact, beginning to crack due to the immense force of the Ponyta’s hooves. Axel then uses the Reflect as leverage to spring towards the cement, seconds before he hits the water The Ponyta makes it, crashing against the arena floor, while Aang hits the water like a rock, his Reflect completely shattered.

Wet and not in his element, the Pidgey flounders, his plumage wet and dragging him down. Katara can ignore the situation no longer and releases her Disable on the turtle, going over to rescue the floundering Aang, who is now perched on Katara's back.

Pendragon, still recovering from the Psychic-induced numbness of his limbs, is unable to dodge the sudden plume of water that descends down on his head,. Head spinning, the turtle begins to retaliate, summoning up another Whirlpool, albeit a little less powerful than before, due to his body’s fading numbness.

Aang manages to take off before he could get caught up into the Whirlpool attack, though Keturah is not so lucky. Aang's his whole body aches and can see the Ponyta smirking at him, a Fire Spin surging out of his mouth. Aang grimaces and closes his eyes, but the burning sensation never comes.

Aang opens one eye. Axel missed… well, not completely, as three of the five bird copies are gone. By now, to say Axel is annoyed at his Fire Spins continued misses would be a huge understatement; however, that annoyance is nothing compared to what Axel feels when another barrage of five pointed stars pelt his face.

Hell hath no fury like a pony scorned.

    Awesomeness again

Pendragon, while the Whirlpool has Katara trapped, swim down to the air pocket. There, multiply with Double Team.

PENDRAGON: Swim down to air pocket ~ Swin down/Double Team ~ Double Team

Axel, use a Flame Wheel, and try to hit both of the Aangs. Then, look into Aang's eyes and lull him to sleep with Hypnosis. End your turn with Fire Blast.

AXEL: Flame Wheel ~ Hypnosis ~ Fire Blast

Saffire, I think if you go to 'Modify' there's a box to check for 'delete.'

I wanna go and hang out with Demyx...

Katara! Try to use a Surf attack to get out of the Whirlpool and try to hit Ponyta as it prepares for a Flame Wheel! Then, swim down and follow the Squirtle to the air pocket. Once you're there, try a Slam attack on Squirtle!

Katara: Surf out of Whirlpool and maybe Ponyta ~ swim down to air pocket ~ Slam on Squirtle if it reaches the air pocket

Aang, we're going to turn up the heat a little! Stay in the air to keep away from the Surf attack but try a Gust on Ponyta! If you can, Detect yourself away from Hypnosis and then go in for an Aerial Ace!

Aang: Gust to Ponyta ~ Detect ~ Aerial Ace

    ~Round 4 Start~

Springing into action, Axel whinnies and charges at the three Aang’s, flames rolling around his body, dead set and determined to put Aang in his place. The Pidgey is fast retreating upwards, with his clones scattering about. One Clone is promptly blasted away by the Flame Wheel as it bursts away from Axel’s body. The rest of the flames are scattered like broken glass as Aang begins to rapidly flap his wings, spurning forth a high, churning wind that Axel has to brace himself against. He isn’t happy, and his mood doesn’t improve as Katara’s Surf creeps up on him, cresting over his back and soaking the Ponyta. Bedraggled, Axel’s mane and tail flames flare as he glares at Katara in anger, deciding when Aang’s finished, he’ll definitely be coming after her – even if he has to learn how to swim to do it.

Still, he’s not going to let a little bit of water (uncomfortable and painful as it is) get the best of him. Not wanting to seem the least demoralized, Axel’s eyes begin to glow a dull, bluish hue. Aang begins to meditate, heightening up his own senses and abilities with Detect. The bird can literally feel the hypnosis waves ruffling his body, so he closes his eyes, and instinctively knows to go up and left, where the waves can’t reach him.

His senses still heightened, Aang’s eyes snap open as he senses the hypnotic waves receding. Concentration broken, and his senses quickly going back to normal, Aang still manages to react quickly. His wings tuck at his side and he dives, picking up speed, now little more than a feathery bullet. Axel doesn’t move, fire coursing through his body and up his throat, so hot, even Axel can feel its heat.

The feathery form of Aang hits the Ponyta on the side of the neck, causing the horse’s head to snap back in surprise and pain. Aang and his one remaining clone start to flee to the skies while Axel releases the mystical flame that he’s been holding. The ancient Japanese character flies through the air, quickly gaining on Aang and his clone. One of the “tongs” on the symbol hits Aang’s last clone, and it dies quietly behind a veil of fire and smoke.

Still, the Fire Blast does not automatically end when it hits something like that, and continues on in its course. Aang tries desperately to put a new meaning to the word speed, and he wishes he had saved his Detect for now, as he can feel the Fire Blast’s heat on his feathers, and soon his whole body as the Fire Blast finally arrives and conquers. Wings now a charcoaly black, Aang whimpers as he tries to keep aloft, the fire having burned his small body to a considerable degree. Only Axel’s nasty smirk from below keeps the Avatar afloat, his wings hot and burning. His pain fades a little as he watches Axel tap his right hoof to his head, and he mutters something that even the non-pokémonese speakers can even understand.

“The name’s Axel. Got it memorized?”

Aang snorts, trying desperately to ignore the burning pain. He doesn’t intend to give his enemy any sort of satisfaction. He can only hope Katara is faring better than he is at the moment.

Supposing we go back to when the round first started, with Katara trapped in the annoying whirlpool, it would look at first glance, that Katara was once again in a very annoying predicament. Well, truth be told, the Whirlpool was annoying, and Katara was fast growing sick of it. As she spun about (with her opponent fleeing underwater… the coward) she began to concentrate not on the scene in front of her eyes (which was nothing but a blur of blue) but on the water itself. She attempted to bend the Whirlpool to her will, and slowly, the Whirlpool and the water around it began to change.

Slowly, the Whirlpool began to slow a bit, and the water below it began to rise, forming a another wave totally under the Waterbender’s control. The Whirlpool quickly became almost nonexistent as the wave picked up strength and power, freeing Katara from its deadly grasp. Its duties, not unlike the Fire Blast, were not over, and though slightly dizzy, Katara sent the wave towards a familiar face: a very angry Ponyta who seemed in desperate need of a very wet wake up call to cool his hot head.

Even though Katara tried to keep her head in battle, she couldn’t help but snicker a bit as the wave hit, startling the Ponyta beyond belief. He now was giving the most nasty glare she had ever seen (though she was sure Sokka could match it). Smirking in delight, Katara dived down into the water, heading towards the air pocket where no doubt the enemy had fled.

What awaited her around the air pocket area was roughly four – actually, no, make that eight, because of another Double Team—Pendragons, scattered about in the air pocket, and just below it. Katara stared while all eight Pendragons waved and smiled at her.

Did that Encore go to his head, his trainer’s head, or what?

Katara never really liked watching him doing Double Team in the first place.

Not really knowing which was the real one, she lunged, tackling a Pendragon which vanished into the watery depths. She had missed, and no, she wasn’t happy about it.

XD I heart Axel...and Demyx (how does one pronounce his name?). I know after I get every (well, almost every) Season 1 cast member of Avatar, I will have an Organization XIII team and then I go switch back to Avatar. Because I'm just that obsessed cool. Besides, Golduck makes a better Demyx than any Totodile :p

Aang, let's start off with you! Move in for an Air Cutter attack on the Ponyta then fly away! Try doing a Swagger attack on the Ponyta and then Fly up into the air!

Aang: Air Cutter ~ Swagger ~ Fly

Katara, you're doing great! Use a Surf attack to rid of the clones and then go in for a Swift attack to hit the real one just incase! Swim below and aim an Aurora Beam at the Squirtle!

Katara: Surf ~ Swift ~ Aurora Beam

DEH-mix is how I pronounce it.

Axel, start by Flamethrower-ing Aang. Next, attempt Hypnosis; if unsuccessful, try again, but otherwise, Flamethrower just enough to reach Aang.

    Axel: Flamethrower ~ Hypnosis ~ Flamethrower/Hypnosis

Pendragon, just swim as fast as you can towards the small, rocky platform. try to ride Katara's Surf through the water in that direction, then ride two of your own Surfs.

Pendragon: Ride Katara's Surf ~ Ride own Surf x2

Golduck as a Demyx? That wouldn’t be bad, it’d be the Psyduck part I couldn’t stand. And while we’re on the topic, I think Marowak makes for a better Sokka, due to the fact he has a boomerang – er Bonemerang – on him. XDXDXDXD

I pronounce Demyx the same way as Kev really.

    ~Round 5 Start~

Air and Fire clash once more in a not-quite-so-epic struggle between wind bird and four legged fire horse. Despite the obvious burning pain in his wings (which has slightly faded) Aang’s own Air Cutter finds its mark with deadly accuracy, its sharp pieces of wind leaving small cuts and bruises all over the Ponyta’s body in its wake. Axel’s own Flamethrower has no trouble finding its feathery mark, adding more than one more charred feather to Aang’s already large collection.

Wings – and really his whole body -- still throbbing with the pain from the fire blast, Aang turns to better face his opponent, and proceeds to try to act in as pompous a way as he can possibly come up with– mirroring the time when he “swaggered” Admiral Zhao.

Axel following whinny sounds more like a roar from some fairytale dragon. Angry and snorting fire out his nostrils, the Ponyta forgets all about using Hypnosis, concentrating only on roasting Aang’s feathery butt to kingdom come.

Aang chuckles nervously, and immediately settles upon fleeing towards the skies, Axel hot (quite literally) on his heels. A fire attack sears out of the Ponyta’s mouth – rather uncontrolled and hasty. Unfortunately for Aang, there are no ships to catch fire along the way, and the Pidgey is rather on the receiving end on Axel’s vengeance.

All the more reason for Aang to flee towards the open sky as fast as his burned wings can carry him, narrowly avoiding Axel’s second Flamethrower. Aang quickly makes note not to ever Swagger the Ponyta again.

On the flipside, down into the watery depths of Kevvaelli’s arena, Pendragon is getting in touch with his inner surfer dude. Katara seems dead set and determined to wipe his clones (and likely him) out of existence, and the Squirtle’s only hope is to use Katara’s Surf to his own advantage.

Already, he can see the waves cresting on the left side of the air pocket from his vantage point on one of the rocky platform. Pendragon and his many imaginary friends can’t help but whistle as he Surf gains strength and power, crashing towards him like an open palm.

Feel the waves, dude… feel the waves…

Pendragon halfway closes his eyes, and jumps, tucking his feet and head into his red shell. He can feel it hit the wall of water, and from his rather dark home away from home, he tries to control his balance, and make like a surfboard and ride on Katara’s waves. Being a water-type, and more partial to the tropical waters, he doesn’t seem to have much of a problem surfing as the wave carries him forward.

Unfortunately, his clones do not have his surfer sense, nor a corporeal body, and all but a few fall to the waves iron fist. Pendragon is too far into his shell to notice the disappearances of multiple clones, instead, trying his best to tap into his water bending power, and does it quite aptly.

However, the surf has to break against something… and quite frankly, a wall is a wall, and tight, enclosed spaces do not make things anything better, and as the way of the wave dictates, both wave and Squirtle hit the wall and collapse into the water.

Mostly unharmed within the confines of his shell, Pendragon peaks his head out only to have more than a dozen pointed stars whisk at him from the Seel’s direction, wiping out any remaining clone, while leaving nasty scratches along his shell and face.

This time, however, it’s Pendragon’s turn to conjure up a might wave, and he does so… this time with full control; however, he seems to have forgotten one important aspect of the move. A wave occurs above water, and you can’t exactly ‘surf’ underwater… which is where Katara is.

Katara seems to be barely affected by the attack, diving deeper into the water while Pendragon continues to Surf, and even though he’s not hitting much of anything, he does seem to be having a fun time doing it before he’s ungracefully sniped off of the wave’s crest by Katara’s Aurora Beam.

    • I’m trying to get all my reffings done, so this really hasn’t been spellchecked other than what the computer spell/grammar checks.

    • Swagger is an iffy move to Ref. So many dang definitions

Okay, Axel, I want you to try and relax as much as you can this round. Use Double Team twice, then just relax.

Pendragon, I want you to use Double Team, and try to make as many clones as you can. Swim as fast as you can towards the second platform.

    AXEL: Double Team x2, Relax

PENDRAGON: Double Team, Swim to second platform x2

Ah, but Psyduck is always the greatest surprise of all. That and I don't have a a Golduck planned yet except for being Demyx.

Aang, let's start off with you! Relax while Axel's making clones and just watch him! Then, blow his clones away with a Whirlwind attack!

Aang: Relax ~ Relax ~ Whirlwind

Katara! Excellent job! Relax a bit and let Pendragon get ahead of you as he keeps using Double Team! Then, use an Aurora Beam to wipe some of them away! Follow after Pendragon to the platform!

Katara: Relax ~ Aurora Beam ~ follow Pendragon

    ~Round 6 Start~[/center]

The frantic pace of the last few rounds seems to be faded away as each of the combatants on either side begin to tire, feeling their precious energy slowly ebbing away like a tide. Axel, by far the most exhausted of the four Pokémon, breathes in deeply, and begins his first set of two Double Teams. Aang, having very little to worry about from the fire-breathing horse at the moment, lands on the ground before him, resting his aching wings and body.

The second round is no different, following an ever-familiar pattern that really does not need much description. Axel: another five clones, Aang, relaxing and enjoying the ‘magic show’. Axel is a little miffed at all this, as it’s still his goal to make sure Aang is the first to lose – or at least, faint before him—and all he can do right now is watch the feathery menace gawk at him as if he was some show horse. The nerve!

Snorting, it takes all of Axel’s power to relax and stare at Aang. The little Pidgey, however, seems to have other ideas than watching Axel (as cool as he is) in mind. He rises up into the air, feeling very refreshed and energized, and proceeds to flap his wings at a very high speed towards the Ponyta and his many clones. All of which are swept away in the strong gust of wind.

Below the water, the scene is very much the same. Pendragon completes his who-knows-what-number rendition of Double Team, and doing it very well. With all that practice it takes little effort to conjure up six confident Pendragons. Katara watches on, bored out of her mind, but nevertheless enjoying the respite.

As soon as Pendragon (and his numerous clones that he happens to be quite fond of) begins to swim to the aforementioned platform, Katara follows. A sparkling beam of rainbow energy cuts through the water. It sweeps past two of Pendragon’s clones, sending them to Davy Jones locker with ease.

Miffed, though certainly unharmed, Pendragon continues bravely on with his now four clone escort. Just a few feet behind, Katara swims, ready for her next round of orders. Both reach the platform shortly, Katara just after Pendragon.

And all, for once, is calm.

Okay Katara, let's calm down for a bit! Relax for the first round and then use a Surf to try and rid the area of the remaining clones! Finish this round off with an Ice Beam at Pendragon!

Katara: Relax ~ Surf ~ Ice Beam

Aang, great job! Hit the Ponyta with a Steel Wing attack and then fly up onto one of the walls for a Relax. Then, Fly up into the air to escape any of the Ponyta's attacks!

Aang: Steel Wing ~ Relax ~ Fly

Pendragon, I want you to relax, as well; swim towards the second platform while Katara surfs, and Double Team while swimming when she uses Ice Beam.

Axel, use Fire Spin, then Relax.

    ~Round 8 Start~

Silence seems to invade the entire battle area. The spectators from the stands have even stopped their ceaseless chatter, sensing that things are coming to an end – not quite yet, but soon.

And certainly enough, things do seem to be starting to heat up. Both literally and figuratively as Axel flares into action, while Aang takes flight. The tiny bird flaps his burnt wings, rising a few feet up into the air, before twisting about in a complicated aerial maneuver and diving. His wings have taken on a molten silver glow – a glow of tough hardened steel. Seconds go by, and Aang is fast nearing his target. Coming in Aang’s direction is a serpentine thread of flame, swirling about in an amazing display of Firebending prowess – though Axel would not refer to it as such. Aang’s sharp eyes see it coming, and he tries to pull in his wings and make a sharp turn, but his hurt, feathery appendages protest at the idea, and there’s nothing he can do to dodge the incoming attack.

The fire swirls around the small Pidgey, halting him in his tracks as the Fire Spin takes on a more tangible form, taking on an appearance of a great, fiery tornado with Aang hovering in the midst of it. His silver-lined wings fade – he knowing they would do little good, as metal is weak to fire, and he is thusly forced to hover between the twister of fire, the heat making it extremely uncomfortable, while embers sputter out now and again to agitate his already hurt wings.

Aang can barely relax in such a condition.

Axel, meanwhile, has no problem at doing so. He’s extremely proud of his handy-work, snorting in a cocky manner as he stands and watches – very much enjoying the show.

The Fire-Horse continues to sit and rest, when he notices the vague shadow in between the flames begins to move. He watches as the shape darts upwards through the Tornado, before at the top of the funnel a feathery form bursts out, absolutely blackened, his feather’s covered with tiny embers that are certainly causing the bird severe agitation if not pain. He managed to Fly out of the Fire Spin, but not without a price. The Pidgey flies up and away, as high as he can possibly make it, while our favorite member of Organization XIII watches through keen, coal-black eyes.

And deep below the water’s surface, another battle is taking place.

Both Seel and Squirtle have taken to staring into the eyes (or in Katara’s case, many pairs of eyes) of one another, taking a very much needed breather as they take in much needed energy to continue on, and fight in this monumental battle.

Katara is first to break out of her resting phase, swimming resolutely to the top of the air pocket, bursting outwards in a spray of water as the liquid underneath her begins to heed her calls. The water steadily rises with Katara seated on top of it. It goes on until a crescent wave has formed, and Pendragon, somewhat confused at his trainer’s orders – as he reached the second platform before the round even started, wonders what to do.

The surging wall of water soon solves that dilemma, with Pendragon smartly diving underwater while he still can while Katara’s formidable Surf rushes through the surface. Thought not exactly hurting Pendragon, the water’s current begins to move, and he’s swept forward as the wave continues on its course.

The Surf soon breaks against the opposite wall and Katara is back in the water, only to find (to her “surprise”) that another four Pendragons have decided to join the crowd, all cheekily waving at her. But Katara is not impressed. A beam of pure white forms at the tip of her pearly white horn, before the tendrils of ice cut through the water, decimating three of Pendragon’s clones, making them fade into a cold plane of non-existance. But there are still five left… not counting the real one.

    Durrh.

Pendragon, get onto the platform and hope Katara follows you. Use Seismic Toss on a rock, but when you come down, slam it on Katara. Mega Punch another rock in her direction.

Get on platform ~ Seismic Toss -> Rock -> Katara ~ Mega Punch -> Rock -> Katara

Axel, if Aang descends, use Agility to get out of his way; if not, Relax. Do that until Aang is descended, then use Fire Spin. If you can, relax.

    Agility/Relax ~ Agility/Relax/Fire Spin x2

    I'm back.
