Devonian quickly swims to the lake bottom, and slaps his flat, spade-like fin against the earth. In response, several large chunks of rock float from the water bottom. Eagerly, he turns towards his foe, projectiles ready. However, Siren has already immersed herself within a thick screen of black smoke. (-4% EN) Devonian can't see a thing, though he believes he spotted a flash of orange in the upper right corner...He lifts the rocks over his head, ready to fire, but in his confusion, accidently drops one on top of his head, spoiling his attack. (-3% HP) D'oh.

As the Relicanth shakes off the dull, aching pain of the rock, he senses a flash of motion within the cloud. This time, he definitely saw a bit of the Goldeen. Pleased with himself, he opens his mouth wide, releasing a burst of white, status-laced energy spheres, which punch holes through the Haze easily.(-5% EN) Though his attack missed, only one Siren clones is left standing. The Haze cloud bubbles murkily, already filling in the empty spots. (-4% EN)

Devonian puzzles over his tactics, watching the cloud with a predatory confidence. (+8% EN) Within the cloud, Siren worriedly eyes her opponent. The two fighters are both rather weary...(+8% EN)

Ok start off with a Supersonic, then Mudsport so your opponent can't locate you get the dirt from the oceanfloor. Then Relax.

If he comes to close shoot him with an Icebeam, except on the first move.

From the cloud of smoke, Siren lowers her head, and begins to hum at an extremely high frequency.(-5% EN)Luckily for Devonian, sound travels a bit differently underwater. The Relicanth has his eyes closed, barely moving or even breathing. His mind is a thousand miles away- he barely comprehends the ringing in his ears. (-4% EN)

His eyes snap open again, and he looks around. The fuzziness in his head has faded at last. Siren dives below the cloud, disturbing the muddy ocean floor with her tail and slapping up the mud. (-4% EN) Of course, now it's easy for Devonian to see her- she's causing the disturbance. Slowly, he swims around and around the growing cloud of mud. The mud swirls in the same direction as the growing Whirlpool- the current also manages to snatch Siren, dragging her into it. (-5% HP, -4% EN)

Luckily, the Goldeen's superior speed helps to swim out of the whirlpool, and back into the relative safety of her Haze cloud. Both fish-type Pokemon relax, waiting each other out.(+8% EN) The current of the Whirlpool continues, pulling bits and pieces of the Haze away. Siren's screen is fading...

Devonian, you’re doing good! Keep it up!
Now, I know that Siren’s speed is proving to be quite a pain: so here’s the plan. Keep your distance from her, and try to go as near to the lake floor as possible. Give her a Secret Power from the distance.

However, if she decides to pull off another Haze/Mud Sport, go for a Whirlpool. If she uses Double Team, use Whirlpool. If she comes towards you, give her a Rock Slide- but only when she come close enough, as we don’t want to miss, do we? If she hide anywhere- find her, and attack!

Ok Siren, let's break this rock!

First I want you to come closer to Devonian, but not to close so you won't get shot by Rockslide, so keep your distance far enough and fire a Watersport towards the floor just before Devonian so that you kinda hit him with the mud and the dust will form a cloud so he can't see you. Normally, looking at his subs, he won't use Whirlpool. So try to hit him and create dust. Then use Supersonic, so that he can't see you (cloud) and can't hear you due confusion. Then Relax, since Devonian will be to confused to do anything.

Devonian turns tail and swims away from the cloud, moving closer to the bottom of the lake. Siren leaves her Haze cloud to follow after the Relicanth. Devonian whips around, and is pleasantly surprised to see the Goldeen in plain view. It makes the job of aiming easier. The rock fish opens his mouth, and releases a white orb of energy, which slams into Siren head on. (-7% HP, -4% EN) The Goldeen's face goes slack, making the effect of the attack clear- she's become confused. Her spinning mind works to comprehend her trainer's instructions- what was she supposed to do? She remembers, and shoots a jet of water into the dirt below Devonian, kicking up a cloud of smoke. (-4% EN) The smoke cloud rises up around the Relicanth, obscuring his sight.

Devonian squints through the dust, blinking rapidly. He can just make Siren out in the rising smoke...taking a chance, he opens his maw, firing forth a sphere laced with random status energy. The blow smacks Siren's tail fin, creating a stinging sensation that travels down her scales. Before Siren realizes it, she's asleep, her body falling limp in the water. (-7% HP, -4% EN)

Devonian, of course, doesn't realize his opponent's predicament. He presses the attack, firing yet another orb of Secret Power, which punches through the fading dust. The orb smacks Siren in the mouth, jerking her awake rather quickly. (-7% HP, -4% EN) Creating such orbs is taking its toll on Devonian though, who's breathing hard in the cloud of smoke. Siren relaxes, her aching body painfully reminding her of her own fatigue. (+8% EN)

Furthermore, we’re relaxing, not calm minding, so Siren should not be coming at us. Then, relax some more; we can take that Ice Beam. End with a powerful Skull Bash when Siren is relaxing.

Siren can't see her opponent, but she is fairly confident that the Relicanth can't escape sound. Glaring at the cloud of dust, she lowers her head and emits a low hum of supersonic sound. (-4% EN) Like before, the waves of sound travel slower beneath water, distorting their frquency over distance. Relicanth, possessing no known limbs capable of shutting his ears, bears the waves in silence. (+8% EN) Well, it's not really silence since there's sound, but you know what I mean.

The dust cloud is beginning to rise, but unfortunately for Siren, Devonian's muddy scales blend in perfectly with the dust around it. The smokescreen defense is a double-edged sword; she can't see her target. She lowers her head, her horn beginning to grow violet. It seems she will opt for a shot in the dark- a mental bolt bursts forth from her horn, piercing into the cloud of smoke. Sadly, the bolt meets only air- it passes through the cloud and bursts harmlessly upon contact with a rock.(-5% EN) Devonian is a bit worried at the attack, but continues to relax. The buzzing in his head and ears begins to abate. (+8% EN)

Now it's Siren's turn to relax, though she's a bit upset that none of her attacks seem to be having an effect. The dust begins to settle to the ground, just as Devonian bursts forth, swimming quickly. His lowered head slams into the Goldeen's side, pushing her backwards.(-8% HP, -5% EN) Siren wheels about, her side aching painfully- Devonian's rock-hard head didn't help matters.

Devonian creates an orb of white, shifting energy in his mouth again, taking aim at Siren. As he releases the blast, Siren charges forward, head lowered. The blast hits her head-on, but she plows forward nonetheless, the water rippling behind her. (-7% HP, -4% EN) Her powerful horn slams into Devonian's rocky side, hurting him in spite of his protective scales. (-10% HP, -6% EN) Devonian rolls over in the water, swimming away in fear before facing Siren again.

Sadly, Siren is right on his tail. Devonian barely has enough time to prepare his attack, before releasing it Siren's face. This time the blast is enough to finish her- she flops sideways in the water, her own momentum carrying her forward in unconsciousness. Devonian is relieved, but also rattled. How much more can he take?

Devonian, Calm Mind to prevent the confusion. Then, use a combination of Waterfall and Double Edge to land a surprise attack from Neptune’s back, and to avoid his Drainpipe as well!

A dull flash from the lakes bottom signals another round. Rising from the Depths with red glowing eyes is a jellyfish Pokemon called Neptune. The unseen rays that have the power to scramble weak minds emit and slowly begin to take their toll on Devonian, who is tired and beginning to slow.
But the ancient fish isn’t going out yet, his mind blocks out the rays as it concentrates on calming its mind, freeing it to the world around it before also stopping any sort of mind trick.

Neptune doesn’t seem to be fazed that his attack failed, instead he launches himself forward! Flipping around so his tentacles are extended, ready to grab the rock Pokemon, but Devonian has other plans, he bolts downwards, evading the extended tentacles, and then performs a extremely agile manoeuvre of turning up 90 degrees and charging, the water around him bubbling and ripples as he cuts through the water. Neptune’s eyes widen as the Rock fish slams into his side, despite this. The jellyfish somewhat latches on the fish, draining a massive amount of hp before the fish manages to tug away, but alas, its attempt is futile, the massive energy loose faints the fish, and it slowly sinks to the bottom…

Round 15

Round 15 kicks off with Tsunamizu concentrating on Neptune, but in an odd turn of events the tentacle Pokemon glimmers and shines before a reflective covering consumes his body. A purple aura surrounds the reflective Tentacool before dispersing and then surrounding the poor Squirtle, who blinks blankly and then cringes as his own attacks strikes him with double the force.
Luckily Tsunamizu isn’t confused, instead he waits, and watching Netune come in for a Mega Drain, Tsunamizu growls and charges up a fearsome ball of electricity that is let loose and but it never slams into Neptune! Instead a purplish orb engulfs the powerful attack and then shrinks, making the attack disappear all together. Slightly taken back by what happened to his own attack, Tsunamizu shakes it off and concentrates on Neptune again, who is trying to grasp what just happen, unfortunately, the sudden attack on his mind doesn’t help things and all Tentacool can do is cry out in agony.

Okay, Tsunamizu, time to get physical! First, swim as far as possible while using a Rapid Spin on the lake floor. That should bring the mud up so that Neptune’s Confuse Ray won’t hit you. Then, attack him from behind with Confusion. Continue with the Confusion, and hopefully he’ll be too confused to be able to hit you accurately.

If you somehow manage to get yourself confused, then try to find the best hiding spot while you relax to clear the headache off.

After a long delay because the ref is one: lazy, two: sick, and three: has a new fancy game she loves the play, the battle finally underway! (again..)

Neptune, the ever defiant Tentacool glares at his opponent, before his eyes start to glow a deep red colour, that seems to summon a beam of utter confusing words, messages and everything else that could confuse the poor Squirtle. Tsumamizu is not without a plan! He dives towards the seabed floor and uses a rapid spin, causing dirt and debris to fly off the bottom and create clouds of dirt.
Though the plan worked without a hitch, it has a downside, now neither pokemon can see each other through the thick fog of sand and dirt. Both Tsunamizu and Neptune stall, waiting the dust to clear.
And they’re off! Both creatures focus on each other, Neptune rushes forward, tentacles outstretched in a hugging fashion, but it’s guaranteed that Squirtle will get more then just a friendly hug. Tsunamizu is concentrating, his eyes turn purple until an eerie glow emits from Neptune, who suddenly veers off course! Neptune grabs onto a rock, but its not to use Giga drain, it’s because his world is spinning!
Naausea rumbles in Neptune’s stomach, he turns, looking for his foe, but alas! The world is spinning, and Squirtle is splitting in half and wobbling. In a desperate attempt to hit his enemy, the Tentacool lets his sick feeling take over, and then spews out a glob of disgusting sludge, that surprisingly makes contact, slamming into Tsunamizu’s side. Angered by the hit; the vengeful Squirtle attacks again, his confusion attack adding to Neptune’s disorientation.
