[color=#FFDD11]Ooh, a personal challenge. Cool beans. And luckily, I just finished up my battle with Andrew, so I got an open slot (heh, the open slot lasted for like 5 minutes after I saw the battle was over)
I feel like using some of my better battlers instead of the experience getting I've been doing in other battles, so.... I choose Atlas the male Pinsir.

Alright Atlas, lets make a good showing for your first battle. Start off by Hardening against the Aerial attack, diminish the effect of that attack and give yourself a boost for the future. Then, close your eyes and Focus Energy while it tries in vain to confuse you. And finally, trap that bug with a Rock Tomb. Lets see him hit you through that.

Ace64 vs Elec Man Exe
Pre-round
One of the spectators jumps down after a fierce battle and yells out “I’m Ace64 and I challenge Elec Man!”. Security takes out their beating sticks and prepares to interfere when suddenly a cloaked figure stands in front of them.
“I’ll overview this match.” I say
The security agents look a bit depressed, they wanted to clobber something…
Yet another youth steppes down from the seats and gladly accepts the challenge. Immediately he throws out a red and white pokéball. A bright red flash takes form and a brownish creature with two massive horns appears.
Ace64 takes out a same colored pokéball but from that red flash a different creature appears. Looking a bit stuck up, the blue-and-black-with-some-red-and-yellow colored creature just starts buzzing around, not paying attention to the other creature who has his pincers open and close in rapid succession.

Round One
As this seems to have become a bug battle, a couple of people in the crowd yell out some insults.
“Bugs!?! I’ll get some bug spray and kill them off in one shot!”
“What’s this, revenge of the wimps?”
Quietly the ref takes out a pokéball and tosses it at the feet of some of the complainers. A bulbasaur appears and with some blue colored dust, the pokémon puts the complainers asleep.
Not paying attention to this, both trainers have issued their commands and their pokémon are ready to brawl. Firefly’s wings start to glow as he rushes forward. Atlas seems to just stand there but it’s shell is making some noise, indicating that he’s building up some defense. Not taking not off this the winged bug keeps up his speed and slams it’s small wings into it’s foe. Atlas staggers back but not as much as Volbeat had hoped.
Not taking to much thought into it this, the flying bug’s eyes glow a bright white light. It’s fired off but yet again the land bug shrugs off the attack. After closing his eyes, he reopens them with an increased concentration.
Getting frustrated with this beetle, Firefly gathers more energy in it’s hand. Trying to make it as cold as possible, some ice particles were formed around it and seeming glad Volbeat shot forward. Meanwhile Atlas seemed in a form of deep concentration. Feeling over the earth he searches for usable rocks. Being on a sandy surface, they are hard to find. As Atlas has finally found enough rocks he gets slammed by the frosty fist of Firefly. Still maintaining his concentration Atlas brings up enough rocks and catches the flying bug.

[color=#FFDD11]Alrighty, its trapped now. Good job Atlas. Lets take advantage of it, by using an Earthquake. Hopefully the quake will knock the rocks on top of that bug, causing further damage to him, and with him trapped he can't very well fly to escape the quake either. Then, follow up with dual Fury Cutter attacks. Slice him up, and use your increased focus to hit vulnerable points as appropriate. Round Two
It is not looking so well for our flying friend right now. Being trapped in a bunch of rocks with little air supply is not very comfortable. On the other hand, Atlas is looking very focused and ready for the next round where he can kick some *beep*. Both trainers issue their commands and prepare for battle. Meanwhile, the sleeping spectators are carried out off the stadium and the police fine me with 50 bucks for using pokémon to attack people.
Not feeling comfortable in the pile, Firefly starts banging the rocks quickly over and over, hoping to loosen the rocks and find a way out. Sadly, banging solid stone isn’t really good for your health. Atlas on the other hand, doesn’t want his newly caught pray to escape. At least not without dealing some pain. He concentrates and stomps it’s foot on the ground. The rocks cave in and deal some damage to Firefly. Still thanks to the Quick Attack he managed to dodge a couple and escape from the biggest of the damage.
Two somewhat disappointed pokémon stare each other down. Seeing their last attacks fail mostly, they want to do it right this time. Atlas eyes his hovering foe and rushes forward. Both horns start to glow as he speeds forward. Firefly is prepared for this and both his antennas start to glow a yellow light. Suddenly releasing it a bright flash illuminates this already bright day. Still, the speeding Pinsir manages to hit the Volbeat with his horns.
Not liking this pain, Firefly decides to annoy the hell out off his blinded opponent. Between the antennas small sparks can be seen. Atlas reacts to the sound and once again his horns start to glow. Again the stagbeetle rushes forward. Firefly releases the gathered electrical energy and hits Atlas death on. A bit staggered, the blinded Pinsir tries to remember where his foe was. He takes a guess and slashes in mid-air, missing Firefly by a couple of feet. Atlas regains somewhat of his sight and can manage to see some outlining in his white world.

Round Three
As the ref is a bit distracted by the fine he received moments ago, both trainers have shouted out there commands as the pokémon nod to their respective trainers.
Hoping that the blur in front of him is his foe, Atlas rushes forward with horns wide open. Close enough to the figure, the horns viciously close. I scream bloody murder as I knock the stagbeetle of my leg. Smirking, I hand the fine over to Elec Man EXE. During all this commotion, Firefly had taken the opportunity to fly off in the air. While rising a ball of negative energy has gathered in his hands. Making a bowling stance, the negative ball is ‘rolled’ straight into Atlas’ body. Ending this turn, Atlas rubs his eyes, hoping to restore his vision.
As a laughing Firefly takes his time to gather enough watery fluids from his body, Atlas hopes he has locked on to the right target this time. Taking aim he fires off a beam of pure white energy out of his mouth. The shocked Volbeat can’t seem to move out of the way as the beam hits, hard. Frustration rises as Firefly takes his foe a little more serious and shoots off a ball of water. Again, Firefly’s attack hits Atlas right on the chest.
Getting a little frustrated, Firefly decides to speed it up a little this time around as yellow sparks, once again, form between the antennas. The energy builds up until finally one big bolt shoots forward, hitting the soaked Atlas. Water + Electricity = Ouch. But now being 100 percent sure of where his foe is, Atlas releases another beam of white energy. This time it seems to sparkle a little. Again it hits Firefly but in addition to the damage he suffers it seems that the Volbeat is getting a bit drowsier. Atlas however, looks up and his sight has returned. He’s now eager to take revenge.

Round Four
Looking over his shoulder, the ref sees security approach. Wondering how he will cough up 50 bucks on the spot, he also worries about being clobbered. The ref sincerely hopes that they had a big mood change over the last 3 rounds. Meanwhile, both pokémon nod again and prepare for round 4.
Volbeat touches up with the ground for the first time this fight. Resting his tiring wings he prepares for battle. But he looks shocked when he sees his foe with closed eyes. Taking this opportunity, Firefly spins around with a magical glow and 3 more glows appear. All glows dim and reveal 4 Volbeats. During all this, Atlas’ muscles flux and grew slightly larger then they were a moment ago. Opening his eyes, Atlas is shocked that he is now facing a team of Volbeat instead of the one he wanted to kill. His shocked expression soon turns to a grin. More *beeps* to kick.
With the last of his focused mind, Atlas decides on a victim. He once again rushes forward with his horns wide spread. Coming closer and closer, he doesn’t see the 4 identical glows that surround all the Volbeat’ right fists. Focusing on his attack, the horns of Atlas grip onto one of the Fireflys and he manages to grab onto flesh. Shocked that he is discovered so soon, Firefly can’t keep up the concentration to maintain the other clones. Still Firefly has a (somewhat weakened) ace up his, uuuum, do Volbeats have sleeves? Trusting forward his glowing fist, it collides with Atlas head on. Atlas is knocked back, but Firefly, who was still in his hold, only manages to escape slightly as the spikes on Atlas’ horns leave some undeep cuts.
The now alone Firefly worries a little as Atlas, seemingly unstoppable, rushes forward at a high speed. Again the flying insect tries to gather energy at his fist, this time with some icicles surrounding it. Able to have gathered enough energy, Firefly manages to once again trust his little arm forward, just in time to intercept Atlas’ attack. At least, that is what would have happened if Atlas wasn’t that fast. Both pokémon collide and skid back after the attack. As Atlas discovers the recoil from such tremendous speed, he also feels that his muscles are less cramped up. Both contestants take a deep breath after this breathtaking round as some of the empty seats become filled again.

Round Five
Being fed up with the stares from the security, the referee decides to step up to the security (while clinging to the pokéballs containing Electabuzz, Ninetails, Tauros and Aerodactyl).
“What are you guys looking at?” the referee bravely asks. None of the security guards respond.
“Well?” the ref demands. Yet a long pause till finally one of the guards steps forward and says: “You’re pretty” with a dumb face. While falling down, the referee barely hears the two trainers issue their commands.
Firefly, standing firmly on the ground, touches her shoulder. It seems that the bruise is almost healed. Still, the cuts over her body don’t seem to heal as quickly and this makes him mad. His body gets engulfed in electrical energy. This energy spreads over to his antennas as cackling noises can be heard. Suddenly a stream off yellow energy shoots forward, straight at Atlas. Atlas, seeing all of this happen quickly thinks and comes up with a plan. Earth doesn’t conduct electricity so he should be safe there. Right before he starts to plow through the earth, his muscles tense up, leaving him unable to move and forcing him to take the hit death on.
Cursing his luck Atlas feels his muscles putting a bit more strain on him yet again. Wanting to release his fury, Atlas moves forward step by step. Firefly is not intimidated as he is focusing his will power and makes his spirit flow into his opponent. Shocked to discover that the Volbeat has entered his mind, Atlas stands still for a moment. This causes his muscles to tense up for the second time. Atlas becomes even more agitated, especially after he sees Firefly bulk up a bit. Having his muscles refuse action again, Atlas has focused his mind well enough to remove the slight confusion he had before.
Sparkling yet again with electrical energy, Firefly decides to shock his opponent one more time. Although the collected energy is different this time around, it still looks dangerous. The energy doesn’t get shot out all at once, but bit by bit. Atlas had braced himself, knowing that his muscles have played tricks on him last turns. Atlas takes the hit as a confused Volbeat looks at him. Why didn’t his foe at least TRY to dodge. It is soon revealed when Atlas is overtaking by dark red energy. He demands blood. Completely ignoring the strain he is putting on his muscles with this action, Atlas rushes forwards and pummels a shocked Firefly. Having been able to release most of his anger, Atlas seems content even if he seems to have taken a worse beating this time around. Firefly on the other hand is twisting around his arm, his shoulder has completely healed. He looks confident as he sees that the breach that had been created is now as good as closed.

Ow and any comment is appreciated.
[color=#FFDD11]Bothersome paralysis, ruining my brilliant round that I needed to gain an advantage. *wants to kick Firefly in the face*
BTW Silencer, I agree with not losing energy when paralysis strikes, nor gaining it. Obviously, if you can't move, you can't waste much if any energy in the process, and thats how I handle it when I ref as well. And since he can't move, he can't very well just relax and regain energy either. It'd be, IMO, completely unbalanced if you wasted energy AND failed to attack, Paralysis would become the best strategy for any battle. And I really like your reffings, they're quite detailed and accurate despite just starting reffing. Thumbs up.
*sigh* Alright Atlas, lets try and keep the slight lead you have right now at least. Since you seem to be having such trouble with your paralysis, lets take advantage of that with a Facade. If we're lucky, the lingering memory of the confusion might even further power it, but either way that paralysis should give you a powerful strike. Then, use a False Swipe to give him a false sense of security, and follow up with a full-on Slash following that. If he goes to the air, use those rocks you drew up for the tomb before, and hurl them at him with Rock Slide until he decides to come back down.

Round Six
And now that we are about to start round, uuum… Take the 4, remember the 1. Add that to the equation of x˛ = a˛ * d˛ where a is the distance and d is the time. Then use the statement of Pythagoras to multiply that by the square root of the x˛ and finally divide that by 8. So that would be… … round 6.
Firefly, having the speed advantage thanks to his foe being paralyzed, takes to the air again since his wings have regained their strength. He puts his hands together and between his spread out palms a strange light forms. Not strong enough to actually blind but still pretty shiny. Suddenly it bursts and a ray of the light shoots towards Atlas. A worried beetle tries to dodge, but sadly the muscles tense up again. Atlas is lifted up off the ground a bit as the light enters his body and starts to play tricks on his mind.
Standing still like a statue, it seems that Atlas has the worst of luck as his muscles don’t let him move the slightest bit. Almost thinking this is to good to be true, Firefly rushes forward. Wings glowing intensely he strikes Atlas across his chest. The volbeat quickly pulls up and is flying in the air yet again.
Being confident to face his immobile foe Firefly touches down on the ground to gather energy for his next attack. His fist starts to pulse with energy. With a totally engulfed fist he flies forward. He strikes the poor Atlas in his chest and the energy seeps into the body, adding more to the hallucinating effects of the confusion. Finally, Atlas’ muscles respond to his command. He takes steps forward and by moving his head at great speed, he scrapes with his two horns into the flying bugs body. Atlas falls to one knee as a pain spreads through his body. His muscles start to recover from the paralysis and the experience is rather painful. With a couple of huffs he does seem to get over it. But his foe has already taken back his position in the air. A bit frightened by the sudden powerful strike.

Darn pest, playing status effect games with us. Lets teach him something, shall we. Here's what we're gonna do. First off, use a Focus Energy to get rid of that darn confusion and generally get yourself ready, you need to be in top mental shape for this. Now, a powerful attack like Thunder is bound to take a lot of concentration to perform, especially since electricity isn't exactly his "element", and that means minimal dodging. So, I want you try a combo I call the Shadow Reaper. Use Faint Attack to get behind that thing, and then crush him with Guillotine while he tries to build up all that electricity. That'll put a heck of a dent in him, if it doesn't completely defeat him altogether. If the paralysis kicks in and ruins your combo, then throw a Facade his way with any remaining actions.

Round Sever
And we’ve reached round seven with some delays. The ref had put the match on hold to get some hotdogs. A mans gotta eat when a mans gotta eat. Both trainers glance at him viciously, probably wondering why the ref didn’t get them anything. They are fighting while the ref sits on his lazy ass…
Firefly comes down a little but hovers cautiously above the ground. He remembers the vicious attack of his foe and two deep gashes remind him off it. Trying to even further increase the confusion, gathers water in his mouth. Right before he shoots it out, a purple aura is gathered around his mouth. It adds itself to the water and Firefly shoots it out. It does hit Atlas, but he is to deep in concentration to notice the pain. He’s clearing his mind and focusing his energy. Atlas opens his eyes again and is ready to weep the floor with his foes annoying wings.
Not wanting to have his foe restore his muscles wild crackling noises can be heard from Firefly. Sparks fly everywhere, at least between his antennas. Meanwhile, Atlas seems to be in trance. Firefly is to busy trying to contain the power of the attack to notice a slight shimmer over Atlas’ body. Now that his attack finally reaches full power, the hovering bug releases it at Atlas. Or so he thinks. Atlas has disappeared from sight. The electrical attack hits nothing but solid ground. Shocked at how Atlas escaped his attack, Firefly doesn’t notice it when Atlas reappears behind him. Feeling his muscles tense up again, Atlas knows he can’t finish the combo so he just strikes with the first part.
As he had predicted, Atlas’ muscles fail him once more as he can’t move even the an inch after that attack. Firefly sees his chance and shoots forward, wings glowing white. He strikes Atlas across his chest once more and a cut is being formed. The paralysis’ tension stops and Atlas moves his hand on his chest, investigating the not to deep cut. In the meantime, Firefly touches down, panting heavily. Next round will probably decide who will face up against a new foe.

[color=#FFDD11]Darn paralysis ruining my wonderful combo...
Alright Atlas, I'm done thinking creative. No point in coming up with strategies and combos when that darn paralysis keeps ruining it. Facade, then Rock Slide, then another Facade. If he goes airborne, then more Rock Slides, and if he uses Double Team then spread another Rock Slide out to hit all of them.

Talk about your interesting attacks...Yeesh.
Firefly, fly upwards and use Flash to blind him- swinging at shadows won't help his chances. Next, use Thunderbolt to aggravate him and finish with a Mega Punch. Go for the KO!

Round Eight
And as two very tired fighters are huffin and puffin on the battle ground, the ref is licking his fingers from delicious hotdog. Unions, ketchup, mayonnaise and how could he ever forget the special pokésauce. NJAMMY! Wait a minute… pokésauce. Isn’t that food for a pokémon. Gurgle… Uuum is it normal to have foam around your mouth?
The unlucky Pinsir looks towards his foe as he speeds up in the air, glowing a radiant light. The light slowly grows brighter until. FLASH! A huge explosion of light occurs. Aaaah, my *gurgle* eyes. Atlas stands their silent, damn white light go away. Not to mention the *gurgle* paralysis that has struck once again.
His sight taken away, being motionless… This is not good in the midst of a battle. But knowing is half the battle and Atlas knows his foe is airborn. He also knows that there are rocks lying around that he could use for a good attack. He moves around with hands forward in the position he thinks the rocks are, and he’s glad he touches up to a heap of rocks. He grabs a couple and focuses. A slight noise can be heard. A cackling of electricity. Atlas had got the time to gather energy for his attack and unleashes it now, striking the blinded insect. But the noise has betrayed the flying bug and Atlas tosses a couple of rocks toward his foe and Firefly is hit hard by some of the incoming projectiles.
As we draw a close to this round and most likely his battle, it seems that neither pokémon has a will to move. Seeing that his foe is a breath away of being knocked out, Firefly decides to finish this with his all and mighty mega punch. As he closes in, Firefly can feel his *gurgle*(energy) slipping away *gurgle*(from) him. In the meantime Atlas has loaded up his arms again and shoots his rocks forward. They hit nothing but air, missing Volbeat by a few feet on the left giving the flying bug the opportunity to strike and strike *gurgle*(hard). He does seem *gurgle*(glad) that he knocked out Atlas before his sight becomes black. Both pokémon are withdrawn as this ends *gurglegurglegurglegurgle* (damn it, I meant to say up in a tie although slightly in favor of Firefly). Now if you *gurgle*(excuse me), I’m of to find *gurgle* (a medic >_<)

Elec sends first, Ace sends and attacks, Elec attacks. This is the correct order I believe.
[color=#FFDD11]Well, good job Atlas. Its too bad that paralysis foiled so many attacks, but them's the breaks I guess. Return.
Alrighty, I'll be using Hailfire the male Glalie for the second round.

Interesting. I'll go with Gamabunta, my (M) Politoed. A fair match-up..
Gama, fire a Psychic in beam form to begin, then follow with Brick Break to soften it up and Mega Kick.

[color=#FFDD11]A water type, eh? Well blah Hailfire, that gets rid of your STAB attacks. Ah well, you don't need 'em.
You've got the speed advantage, so lets start off with a Shadow Ball, use the ghostly energy to hopefully throw off his psychic concentration. Then use Leer to make him hesistate approaching you for those physical strikes. Finish with an Earthquake, shake him up if he's far away. Alternatively, if he's already right in your face, take a nice chomp with Crunch instead.

Just to clearify, is it allowed to have the same pokémon fight in a gym match and in a normal match because for some strange reason I suddenly realised there might be a rule forbidding this although I could have made it up...
I'll PM a mod and work on the reffing so as soon as I get an answer I'll be able to post it.
Gamabunta is not allowed during the time off him being in the gym battle. So unless he is out of that battle I would like for Ace to send out another pokémon
I see.Ok then, for my second non-evolving Poke, I'll go with April, my (F) Delibird. Do your best.
Take to the sky with Fly to try and dodge whatever he throws your way. Next, divebomb him with Double-Edge, then use Aerial Ace.

[color=#FFDD11]Ice pokemon battle, woo. And quite an odd pokemon, always fun to battle.
Alrighty Hailfire. The bird wants to take flight, does he? Well, let him then. Meanwhile, use a Defense Curl to ready yourself for his physical assault. Now, I want you to meet his charge with your own Headbutt at the same time. Lets see just how well ramming into a heavy chunk of flying ice works. Then, hunker down and take that fast attack with your icy armor, then give him a powerful Crunch in reply.

Will have the reffing up tomorrow. School is taking up my time. Which idiot does a test of the entire year(only 2 months but in high school it piles up FAST), the day before vacation...
Ace64 vs Elec Man Exe
Both trainers call out to their tired pokémon. Although knocked out by different circumstances we do have a tie on our hands. A red beam hits each off them as they turn in to energy before they return into the ball they came from. Both fighters reach for a similar ball and throw them out.
From out of Elec Man’s ball a larger ball appears although this ones colors are different and it has spikes on top. It shows his frosty blue eyes behind what appears to be a mask. The creature is identified as Hailfire(confusing name if you ask me), a good specimen of a male Glalie. Whatever that is.
Out of the Ace’s ball a same-colored (as the ball) bird emerges. Grasping his tail, it looks more like a bag. Santa anyone? Although she is named April I would have picked December if I would name her after a month. As the temperature drops a little with the arrival of the two new species, we go on to round 9.

Round Nine
Giving each other cold glares, neither of the fighters freeze up (I’m so witty). So the Santa impersonator flaps his wings and takes to the sky. Strangely he never releases her grasp on it’s tail. Hailfire starts to spin around dramatically as a ball of yellow energy forms around him. That should somewhat temper with the foes attacks.
The jolly bird swings down, apparently steaming. I think Hailfire is on the naughty list. But the round pokémon doesn’t take this so lightly and charges forward as well. April lands a couple of blows on the floating face before she’s knocked back by it’s head.
Taking advantage of his flying type, the Ms Claus decides to strike with glowing wings. Forget Rudolph, April should be leading the sled tonight. With the glowing wings April once again swoops down and hits Hailfire on the only body part it has, the face. Annoying, Hailfire looks at the smaller-then-him bird and thinks ‘chow time’ as he opens up his mouth and takes a good bite somewhere in the middle of the body. A whimpering bird can see what the big floating head has eaten so far. This includes some RAM memory, a football, a paper bag and a plastic bag (he couldn’t make up his mind at the cash register) plus a bit of grass and a big chunk of wood. Frightened the flying pokémon manages to free herself and lands a safe distance from the dangerous ball of ice.

[color=#FFDD11]Eating bags again Hailfire? Tsk tsk, you know they give you indigestion. Birds, on the other hand...
Oh, right. The battle. Hailfire, blast that bird with a Shadow Ball to start with. Then summon up a Rain Dance, to create some difficulties for her if she tries to fly around again. Finish up with a Water Pulse, take good advantage of the rain and drench her spirits. If she attempts to use a fighting attack on you, then use a Flash on the approach to blind her, then get out of the way.
