While Phoebe is currently chilling out in the main hall, Fuji decides it’s time to bust some doors down. Moving at a fast, determined gate he passes through the left door, hoping that his trainer’s guess was correct, and correct he was. Just in front of him is Phoebe, who at the moment is acting like she didn’t notice him coming in.

Roaring, Fuji charges into Phoebe, tossing her through a door with his massive Strength, making her collide smack dab into the door’s opposite wall with a loud thud, and she too takes as nasty trip down the stairs – though not before releasing her Shadowball through the door that she just came through. However, the attack is blocked by a clear, evanescent shield that shimmers away upon the Shadowball’s contact, leaving Fuji unharmed.

Phoebe, meanwhile, is faced with not one, not two, but three sets of identical doors. One in front of her, and one to the right and left of her. Which one to choose? Hmm…

Phoebe, he's right - we don't know the layout like they do...

But they've forgotten one thing - you are a Ralts, and Ralts can sense the emotions of people and other Pokemon. Use that to your advantage; use Fuji's emotions to find him, and then use Psychic to flip him on his back. Then, send back a Shock Wave to deal some extra damage, and end the round by relaxing and gaining some energy back.

I guess behind behind a maze of doors and away from the opponent isn’t so bad after all – well, at least for Phoebe anyway. Using her Psychic powers, she uses her Psychic and her other sensing abilities to locate the turtle’s mind (of whom is in a very relaxed state). Grunting, she manages to flip the turtle over, though it’s obvious that distance is affecting the Psychic’s power.

Fuji, meanwhile, is in a very unhappy pridicament. He squirms, trying to get himself to roll onto his stomach so he can get up again, but he’s finding it very difficult. Unbeknownst to him, a single bolt of electricity is racing up the stairs with a very lethal intent. The Shockwave uses its heat seeking abilities to lock onto Fuji, and has no problem leaping up stairs nor going through the door. The electric attack hits Fuji without a hitch, and its only at the end of the round that he manages to right himself. Seeing that Phoebe is not present, he relaxes.

Behind the walls of doors, Phoebe is doing the same, closing her eyes and enjoying the respite.

With a heavy heart, the fire tortoise follows the path through the castle that he knows all too well, going through the door that he sent Phoebe through a few rounds previously. Growling, he spots the Ralts, and rushes towards her.

Phoebe squeaks in fright, and begins to use her “Pinball Whiz” attack, bouncing off the walls like a giant…well.. pinball with her Psychic, but Fuji pays no heed to the move, and the damage it’s causing him. Already, he can feel his insides begin to feel like fire, building with intense pressure and energy that threatens to burst out any minute…

And five seconds later, it does.

The trembling dragon-roar of the explosion blasts the room both Fuji and Phoebe were in to pieces. The door is blown off its hinges, pictures are vaporized and burned, and the two Pokémon in the midst of it both faint at almost exactly the same time… and the rain splutters to a stop.

Talk about going out with a bang.

*Taking another Pokeball from his belt, Master of Paradox throws it, calling forth... a small cat with a coin on his forehead. The cat Pokemon purrs and rubs up against his leg.*

Good kitty. Now, you see that ghost? Begin by tossing a Shadow Ball at it, and then spit a Water Pulse. Get up the stairs a ways, leap out, and close the round by Biting it.

With a spectacular double knock out having just occurred last round, both opponents release their new contenders. A rather big-in-girth cat, and a possessed doll.

Vivian’s zipper mouth turns upwards in a demonic grin, and she veers her course towards the cat, a loud, shrieking moan filling the air as she darts in front of the cats face (of whom was conjuring the Shadow Ball). The Astonish scares the heck out of the Meowth, and the Shadow Ball is released prematurely, harmlessly (well almost harmlessly) clattering off a nearby wall, destroying a rather expensive looking picture in the process.

Grinning, Vivian again shows her ghostly prowess as she vanishes into thin air, leaving the Meowth Water Pulsing at nothing but still air. The ghost quickly reminds the Meowth of her presence by smacking him at the back of the head, sending his pudgy form tumbling.

Pudge spins around, hissing. Not wanting his foe to escape again, he lunges, his darkness enhanced fangs digging into the Banette’s ghostly flesh, causing her great pain as she writhes, finally flinging him off and burning him with wisps of ghostly fire…

Well, in ASB it works along the lines of disabling the opponent from moving or attacking for an action or two (depending how long the concentration can be kept up) but usually only an action. Like freezing the Pokémon via psychic means, if that makes sense.

Vivian, Blademaster, you needn't worry about that painting. It was just a replicia for the insurance fire... wait... you didn't hear that!

Pudge, try to wreck Vivian's concentration with a Shadow Ball before the Disable kicks in. Assuming that works, call down a Thunderbolt, and then leap in and Bite again. If it doesn't work... well, it depends on how long you're frozen.

Snickering wickedly, Vivian begins to glow with a purple aura, trying to stop the fat cat in his tracks with Disable. But Pudge, faster despite his weight, lugs a fast Shadowball in the Bannette’s direction. It smacks her right in the face, making her screech in fury and anger, while Disable’s concentration shatters.

The Meowth cowers a bit as he notices Vivian’s change in mood, and quickly surrounds himself in electricity. Just then, the Psychic picks him up, and slams him into the floor just as the Thunderbolt jets off. It scrapes past the Bannette, its trajectory slightly off because of the Psychic, but even though she got off mildly, she can still feel the irritating sparks dancing about her right arm, leaving a rather numb feeling in its wake.

Deciding to give Pudge what’s coming to him, Vivian decides to attempt to fire her own Thunderbolt, when she becomes painfully aware of a pair of very sharp canines burying themselves into her right arm. Pudge tries to hang on, but is quickly thrown off by the following Thunderbolt, and is quickly reminded of the burns covering his body.

Darting forward, the possessed Marionette puts on a wicked zipper-grin, throwing up her arms and emitting a cold screech that would send shiver’s down anyone’s spine. Pudge yowls, half-way into his Faint Attack, managing to overcome his startlement and fear to strike the ghost-type Pokémon with his Faint Attack.

Immediately afterwards, Pudge summons up a ball of Ghost-type energy, throbbing with netherworld energy. The Banette is also conjuring up an energy attack of her own – but hers of a less supernatural kind. Both ball and streaks of electricity go off at the same time, and both said attacks hit their respective targets.

Fur bristling from the electric attack, the little cat Pokémon leaps forward in a burst of speed. His jump carries him towards Banette, but his Aerial Ace is stopped abruptly in mid-air, halting forcibly by a Psychic attack as Vivian psychicly redirects the Meowth’s force, sending the unfortunate feline straight into a nearby wall with an unsympathetic slam, leaving the Banette completely unharmed, while leaving Pudge bruised along with his already painful burns.

Ghost and cat lock eyes and round 15 commences with Vivian levitating herself high up into the air, hoping to get out of the way of the kitten’s reach – but no manner of levitating can help her dodge Pudge’s blast of water, vibrating with Super Sonic waves. It hits the Ghost-type’s body, making her shudder and her head spin ever so slightly.

She manages to ward off the impending confusion, sending forth a strong bolt of lightning down at the cat, only to have it hit and break against a transparent shield the Meowth conjured up at the last moment.

Now taking the offensive, Pudge’s creamy white fur bristles with static energy as he shoots off a long, powerful javelin of Thunder. The electric attack cuts right through Vivian’s Icy Wind, striking the Banette’s body with a vengeance. Her ghostly form, wet from the water-type attack, only enhances the move’s power, sparks dancing around the marionette as she screeches in pain and annoyance.

The little Meowth is a little better for the wear. His burns aren’t quite as hurtful as before – thanks to Vivian’s Icy Wind. Though the attack was quite chilling, and the Meowth will be moving rather slowly for a few turns, his burns have receded to the point they’re more of a dull, slightly painful, throb.

Electricity once more ripples through the air as the little cat sends a Thunderbolt in the Ghost’s direction. Infinitely faster and easier to conjure up than a Hyperbeam, the Thunderbolt hits Vivian just as she begins to slowly conjure up a Hyper Beam. The electiricty makes her muscles twitch and she shudders violently as she wills her muscles to obey her.

With extreme difficulty and energy, she launches her Hyper Beam. The powerful attack slams Pudge in the chest, sending him clear to the opposite side of the room. Stunned and dazed, it takes him awhile to get up, and thusly unable to attack first. Vivian, tired and worn out, can do little but relax from the energy consuming attack, while Pudge crouches closer to the floor. Building up speed (as much he can from his slowed body), he pounces, using the speed and power to jump upwards, but he fails to reach the Banette, missing entirely and landing on all fours on the lavishly covered flooring.

Growling, and certainly not happy, Pudge knows he can’t perform a Bite either with her so high without some sort of assistance, so he decides to relax trying to ward off the chill that has overtaken his body from the Icy Wind, his cat-eyes never leaving Vivian’s marionette form. Thunder is crackling around her body – but this time, the exposure to energy is to much. Her muscles freeze and refuse to obey, and the coming Thunder fades into only a few harmless sparks.

As the playfull Banette tries to put up a Disable at Pudge, he fires a deep black and purple ball right at Vivian. She gets hit right in the face and shrugs. The paralyze kicks in.

The now smiling pudge fires off another ball and Vivian gets hit again. Although the pain is killing her, she smiles. She smiles because an electrical wave is forming between her ‘hands’. Suddenly her face turns deadserious (lol) and she fires it off towards Pudge. Pudge looks scared and tries to run away, but the widespread wave caught him and paralyzes him.

Vivian doesn’t stop her assault and immediatly turns up to capture Pudge in a psychic web. Pudge screams it out when her bones are being crushed by the powerfull attack. When Vivian finally lets go, Pudge drops down. He gets up and fires a Shadowball with all his might, knocking Vivian out cold. R.I.P.
