Thaddius down, Abom wing cleared. Now moving focus to Plaguw wing and Heigan + Loatheb. Thaddius is an awesome fight.

Well I saw Nef for the first time on Sunday. That shit is cool, Chromaggus is fun too (whack a mole dispelling.. it's a nice change for whack a mole healing).

58% first time we saw Phase 2 (note: no flask for mt or anything like that), went pretty well until a lock turned nef on a fear roasting the mages/locks (mt/ot missed fear, lock apparently had overtaken tank #3 aggro wise).

Really really looking forward to Expansion as a shaman (my god, new enhancement.. I need a goddamn cold shower).

Nef got squished this week, after only about 10 attempts he got wtfpwned, Nef is noob.

Also did the thunderaan event today I frapsed the kill while playing like a goddamn scrub (seriously, I burn my entire mana pool in one Thunderaan fight, but can finish Nef with mana to spare, GG).

If anyone would like to see it: http://rapidshare.de/files/36838654/...eraan.wmv.html

Note: 21 people, half of whom are in blue gear (theres about 3 of us with anything beyond MC gear, and about ~10 with MC gear). Not a very good fight, but an ok fraps for anyone who hasn't seen the event.

For anyone wondering why theres 3 of us with BWL gear, yet I'm in a nef-killing raid - my guild has two parts, one from the US and one for AUS/NZ, the raid for the AUS/NZ part collapsed, it turns out that some of us can make the US time raids though (note: not inhouse raids). The kill is to get the NZ main tank his Thunderfury (when our raid collapsed, he was stuck on two bindings, we used our shares of the raids bank to get the mats for the orange sparkly).

Grats, Leon, the first Nefarian kill for any guild is always a major achievement and should be applauded. Well done. Get decent drops for the first kill? Once you kill Nef, he's easy to do again. I personally think Vaelstrasz, Chromaggus and Firemaw are the 3 annoying ones in BWL. Nef is just learning it. GL in AQ40 if you go for it before the expansion comes out.

I actually only got to be part of a Thunderaan event like a bit over a month ago. Kiety, our rogue leader, had been sitting on the Garr binding for about 7 months and was about to give up on the idea of ever completing it. On a day we didn't have enough people rock up ontime for Naxx, we went to MC instead for a Geddon zerg (fighting him in the tunnel instead of Garr's room is quite amusing). Kiety blew me up just before the kill, then bloody goes ballistic finally getting the other binding. Thunderaan is a very simple boss. I heard he was originally going to be an MC boss, but he's laughable. Funny thing was Kiety decided to respec daggers that day. Boy did he change his mind real quick, lol.

Currently trying to learn the Heigan fight. God, that lava splash pattern is a killer. If you lag even a bit, you're screwed. Same way any lag problems ruins a Thaddius encounter. Heigan drops fairly quickly but that damn lava, argh. Finally got some decent attempts, people going AFK while clearing Plague wing trash just before him is a death sentence. ANY trash between Noth and Heigan repops with 10-15 seconds of dying. Only upside is, only thing left in that wing after Heigan is Loatheb, no trash in between.

I just started playing on Friday on someone else's computer and account (which is a good thing because it'll restrict my playing time and not get me too addicted). I'm a Lv.11 Human Warrior in the Runetotem realm and unfortunately, I didn't know that being a warrior meant dying a lot. I wanted to be a Nightelf Hunter but my friend refused to let me create one so human warrior was the next best thing. I'm still slaving away at the quests and am currently in Westfall trying to kill a shitload of Defias thugs so that'll keep me busy for a while

Yeah, the loot was actually very good (but no damn Lok'amir il Romathis, grr)
Bloodfang Chestpiece, Dragonstalker's Breastplate, Crul'shorukh, Ashkandi.

Warriors went ballistic, the really funny part is our only warrior who really wanted Ashkandi (by some stroke of luck, we have only one ms warrior) had to go to a family function of some sort so it ended up on our mt (he then tanked Onyxia with it).

Razor seems to me to be the hardest fight in BWL, Vael isn't as hard as people say (heck, we did it with 3 warriors this week, 5 good rogues ftw), Chromaggus feels harder than Vael to me but maybe thats just because I cure manually rather than with decursive (I do it quicker by hand) and yes, Firemaw is a bastard.

Probably starting AQ40 in a couple of weeks (time to iron out the kinks in our Chromaggus and Nef tactics so we can 1 night bwl).

Naxx sounds like it was designed around Americans with 56 as thier standard latency, I really don't have much interest in going there myself (loot aside, it doesn't sound very exciting, that said, I'd like to see Patchwerk).

Good luck with slapping it though, just remember to support paladins who want Might of Menethil so I don't find myself eating that damn thing in PvP >< (Itemisation is getting ridiculous imo, theres almost no skill involved with using top end gear in PvP, it's just lol2shot).

TML: It doesn't matter where you play, you WILL get addicted.

That is good Nef loot indeed. You got the dkp for Lok'amir if it drops in the next few kills?

Truth be told, I never enjoyed Molten Core or Blackwing Lair. I didn't enjoy instancing until Ahn'Qiraj. Day 1 was an awesome feeling. They finally mixed up strats for bosses and trash and gave the place a unique music, feel, lore and graphic.

Actually, Naxxramas is the one instance I truly enjoy now. AQ has turned into a one night instance for my lot now, we did a 5-6 hour clear on Sunday with Jom Gabbar from Ouro andf Scepter of False Prophets from C'Thun being the highlights. Naxx is awesome. I will admit it's hard to get loot there but I've picked up 3 things so far, mainly from patience and guile. I've pretty much decided to avoid tier 3 (only the helm could possibly be a decent upgrade on my current items) until it goes down in price and hold out for loot from Heigan, 4 Horseman and Kel'Thuzad. The 3 things I really need are a healing neck (Heigan), a better trinket (4H) and a much better healing weapon (Kel'Thuzad).

I did have the same latency concerns as you, Leon, but it's turning out fine. The 300-400 latency is fine for me whenever I do cruical fights like Patchwerk or Thaddius. However Americans are complaining about latency issues with Heigan. That lava splash is harsh.

Naxx truly feels like a challenge though. For me, AQ only became a challenge at Huhuran. Naxx was a challenge right from the start. Convention was thrown out the door for boss fights, Alchemy became bloody important, class specificity was making Druids damn important. As for boss fights I've seen so far, here's how I rate them and their loot:

Instructor Razuvious - Fight = 8/10, Loot = 7/10. Priests learning to tank. About time they put Mind Control to good use. Razuvious running his mouth is always amusing. T3 boots are a good upgrade for any class, Idol of lol is just sad, healing wand is a beaut, rest is so-so.

Noth the Plaguebringer - Fight = 10/10, Loot = 7/10. My equal favourite fight in the game. Even if the raid is decked out and has uber dps, it's always a close encounter, it's just the way Noth is. Brilliant mix of cleansing, burst dps, add control, positioning and burst healing. Also my guild leader's favourite fight. His loot table can be a little upsetting. Good offhand, T3 belt works for most classes. Rest is so-so.

Anub'Rekhan - Fight = 5/10, Loot = 4/10. The kite at Locust Swarm and Impale are the only things that make this fight remotely interesting. His loot is awful as well. T3 bracers are a pretty weak upgrade for some classes and only Band of Unanswered Prayers is worth the loot trouble.

Grand Widow Faerlina - Fight = 7/10, Loot = 6/10. Bit better fight, mix of cleansing, mind controlling, avoiding aoe and hitting it hard and fast. However her loot usually disappoints. Widow's Embrace and Widow's Remorse can bring a smile though.

Maexxna - Fight = 8/10, Loot = 8/10. This is a good fight. Plenty of well timed cleansing to do, HoT heals on MT, dpsing walled people down so they don't die, timing the enrage right. Aside from the crappy Pendant of Forgotten Names, T3 gloves are sweet along with the awesome Wraith Blade and Maexxna's Fang.

Patchwerk - Fight = 9/10, Loot = 8/10. Classic fight. I don't give it 10 for 2 reasons - Liking Patchwerk can get unhealthy and because it only takes one clownish healer to ruin it for the other 39 people. Consumables via Major Mana and Mageblood Potions get painful if someone keeps noobing it up. However, those 7 minutes are some of the most intense a healer will ever face. Downing him is always an awesome feeling. Decent loot table but Severance is a bit of a joke considering the weapons already in the game from Nef, Twin Emps and C'Thun. Wand of Fates and Band of Reanimation are nice, along with the T3 shoulders.

Grobbulus - Fight = 7/10, Loot = 7/10. Okay, is he an epic vendor? Yes. Does he drop decent ones overall? Yes. That's why I afford him a 7. Yes, he's bloody easy. But it's still fun. Days of playing Frooger, Battleships and Connect 4 come to mind when you fight Grobbulus. Simply place the debuff aoe patch behind his trail and the room will always have enough free space. Amazing how many people can forget to do that, though. End of Dreams....yum.

Gluth - Fight = 8/10, Loot = 6/10. Nice conception for a fight. You have to have enough faith in just one healer keeping 37 other people alive while all the other healers focus on the tanks and hunters keep bad dog in shape. It's fun to actually be told that you MUST use Hurricane for once! Random of T3 Bracers/Belt/Boots is okay but his non-set loot can be frustrating. Digested Hand of Power...What clown would ever spend dkp on that?! You couldn't even give that piece of crap away! Claymore of Unholy Might is also an insult. But Rime Covered Shoulders and Gluth's Collar are good.

Thaddius - Fight = 10/10, Loot = 9/10. Now this is fun. Frankenstein and electricity flying all over the place along with well-drilled coordination. If people can remember the simple cycle, this fight becomes quite doable. And the loot after is damn good. T3 helm is uber for any class, Leggings of Polarity, the Castigator....ka-ching.

I like Vandaar Stormpike.. when I'm tanking - it's pretty fun trying to hold aggro off an unruly mob on a boss style mob. Infinate Rage vs Infinate Aggro, it's good stuff.

Ignoring Dark Edge (which, even with Might of Menethil and Corrupted Ashbringer is possibly the best PvP weapon out there, gogo insane proc), none of the weapons from those bosses really beat Severance (MS wise, even for PvP Fury), it also has almost 3x the drop rate of any of them. Claymore is in a similar category.

The cloak from Anub is also excellent (+hit is surprisingly valuable for tanks), and I doubt you'd have many warriors say no to the bracers either

    BIG NEWS FOR PATCH 1.13!

The rank system for the honor system will be banished at this patch and replaced by the token system. The need to grind to Rank 14 via months of endless PvP is no longer needed.

e.g. To get the Grand Marshal's Stave, all you need to do is get spend 20k honor points and give 20 Arathi Basin Tokens. Then the weapon is yours! Similar prices for ALL RANK 14 WEAPONS! Rank 12 and 13 epic armor is even cheaper!

Here's the other trick - the limit to tokens you can collect will be raised from 20 to 100!

Prepare to get good PvP gear very easily!!!!!!!!!

If I were you, I'd collect 20 from each faction in preparation!

You do understand it's going to take over 1000 kills, unique targets, highish ranking players, to get 20k honour now?

The other thing is, warriors got screwed, iirc 30x AV tokens for 2h weapons

After like 3 weeks of trying to remember my TPM Password, re-activating my old e-mail address, resettings its password, then resetting my TPM Password (right after registering "Craig2") FINALLY I can post again.

Citrus Crush I don't understand how you can enjoy noth so much >< Maybe its because you are a healer, when we do noth.. I basically just stand on a pile of bones killing the assigned tank's skeleton... Alright, next skeleton.. OMG! Kill a different type of skeleton! Alright, this time kill the CASTER skeleton. Ok, 1 more skeleton. OK! Now you can kill the boss, OMG BLINK STOP! Ok, boss dead.

I'd say most of the fights in Naxxramas are pretty freaking boring. The ones that actually keep me sharp and playing are Gluth (I'm a hunter...so i'm either tranqing, or kiting zombie chow.. or both.) Thaddius ("STARE AT YOUR DEBUFF!") uhm.. and recently, Four Horseman..

Today I took my first auto shots at Kel'Thuzad.

Anyone hear about that guild Overrated being banned for skipping from Skeram to C'thun? They were #1 US Horde.

The server I am on (Illidan) is interesting, because we have 4 Guilds that are at Kel'thuzad. On the horde side Blood Legion and Team Ice, and on alliance we have Saga and Warpath(me!)

Blood Legion surged ahead and killed Kel'Thuzad a few days ago, and some heralded Blood Legion as the "new #1 US Horde" after Overrated was banned. The #1 guild on the server was previously held by Saga, but having a 45 player roster has been biting them in the ass. We hope to beat Saga to Kel..

This is a mostly dominated-by-druid forum... You will all be happy to know I am switching to my druid in expansion! I'm thinking about going for a 0/34/27 build. Balance interests me quite a bit, but I don't think I would spec for it. It'd be a bear tanking / healing build that I think will be pretty competant in PVP. a Natures Swiftness Max Rank Healing Touch will be quite the powerful force when it is bolstered by Empowered HT, and the feral talent that increases your heals by your strength... even in hybrid, druid PVP gear.

One of the main reasons why I am drawn to a Druid is how you can multiplay, even more so in the Expansion with more alloted talent points. Levelling up and the new quests giving you all sorts of good gear gear for different specs excites With some of the focus being shifted to 5 man content, someone who can tank, dish out some DPS but still rel

atively mainheal a 5 man (Maybe I should be an engineer for some jumper cables..sigh) should be pretty useful ! Not to mention on a druid, PVP is much.. much different. When I play my hunter, maybe its because of the gear I have...but it feels like cheating. I run up a flag, and aimed shot someone.. multishot... most of them they are dead or mostly dead.

I think last Warsong weekend I ran more flags on my druid than I have ever ran on my hunter, escaping from the horde with shit like nifty stopwatch and impending skull fo doom is quite fun It must piss them off, too. My Druid is named "Regrowth" ( it was previously named 'Tirisfal' before it was changed... I couldn't think of a name for a couple days.. lol ) they pretty much know that a druid has taken the flag. Who else would name themselves Regrowth??

Of course my druid is a faggot night elf, i'm grinding my ass off to get rank 11 on him for a horse...screw the kitties!

Raz, I think we could use a World of Warcraft: Take 3...or lock this one and move all conversation to the burning crusade thread.

I will post new shots of my characters soon

I can see why you like Gluth so much and I don't Craig. For Gluth, Hunters are essential because of tranq shot and the damage. Whereas Druids - they are the most useless class in that fight. We heal the wrong eprson, we derail the entire attempt. Only a Priest can heal the raid, we only get to heal 1 tank and then Hurricane the zombies when Gluth wants to eat them at decimate. It's so boring for Druids. Noth is fun for Druids because we have to decurse very damn fast, hot heal spam anyone who needs it, watch out for the arcane exploder adds because they smash Druids pretty hard. Patchwerk is pretty much our bane and our time to shine all at once.

My guild's progression has stalled because 5 people quit and a few others are MIA for unknown reason. We finally had out first proper raid for the first time in over 2 weeks today. However our server's progression has really stalled, but Alliance are still dominating. Eminence are still the only to clear Naxx and they have 1 9/9 tier 3 tank, 1 8/9 and 3 7/9. Hitsquad are 12/15 and still stuck on 4H, Elementium are 11/15 and still on Gothik, we (Inquisition) are 10/15 and haven't tried Loatheb in 2 weeks. For Horde, Phase Three have cleared 3 wings and are 11/15 and are on Gothik and Nurfed, although they wish other guilds didn't know it, are also 11/15 but have beaten Gothik yet failed to down Thaddius, then it falls pretty sharply compared to the Alliance.

There's a lot of voliatily in most guilds. 5 people quit Eminence on a whim but their spots got quickly replaced. Elementium's #2 tank who is 7/9 tier 3 suddenly quit 2 nights ago and is eBaying. Hitsquad has attendance problems, we've had extreme attendance problems for 2 weeks but it looks like it's finally easing, Elementium has pinched a lot of players but are losing some as well. Phase Three pinch and leak some over and over and are really getting a lot of hate on the Horde side of Blackrock. Nurfed pretend they're the best but they're suffering a severe case of denial, plus their recruitment is non-existent. I think most players are praying for the expansion. Even though January 17 is the set date, most people wish it is sooner.

Druid talents for 1.13 and expansion look awesome, I'm going to go for 47/14 for levelling, not so sure what to once instancing is back on. If you're gonna go with your Druid, Craig, you're going to have to appreciate you're not gonna have the killshot glory and that you will get targetted a lot. You will be able to escape most classes but you'll probably hate Priests and Warlocks as much as ever, although you'll probably have a bit better chance against them than you did as a Hunter. However the expansion is gonna help. Cyclone is gonna cause so much havoc as will the tricks the larger trees have in store. Here's my spec for levelling to 70:

    http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/...01000000000000

We did have 1 raid during our 2 week blemish, a 4 Dragons raid. I managed to score Deviate Growth Cap from Lethon and Ring of the Unliving from Emeriss. I'll put some CTProfiles links in my sig for my current healing and feral gear lineups. If we get another proper raid tomorrow for C'Thun and Naxx, I'm gonna take the C'Thun quest item for the healing neck and hopefully get a healing mace soon as well, getting sick of not being able to use Noth's Frigid Heart. Then I'll go after a bit of Dreamwalker before the expansion.

If you guys have a similar link thing for your gear lineups I'd love to see them.

And I agree with Craig, Raz. We're gonna need a Take 3 soon, if not now.

Well, I ground out WSG Exalted on my warrior last week in anticipation of the patch, and where is it? I really wish blizzard would give us an ETA.

On the flip side: the WSG Legs are practically impossible to replace until the patch comes, on a level with Conqueror's IMO, only really large upgrade is Carnage or Rank 12 (and rank 12 are a pretty minor upgrade too).

My buddy and I in WSG bumped into a warrior from conquest with an Ashbringer tonight, lucky it was 2v1 and he isn't actually very good (read: he needs interrupt buttons), gear really doesn't scale properly at the moment, stamina needs to increase more (thank gods for BC haha).

By the way LE, do you know Mightyal? gnome warrior from blackrock who I think was in one of your old guilds... he hits like a semi trailer going at 100km/h ><
