Appeals are all well and good, but they can only get you so far. For the semi-finals you are battling it out for a place in the final two and a chance at the grand prize! It is a simple 1-1 battle, no time limit, with no banned moves. The refs for each match have already been confirmed.

The ref for this matchup is MeLoveGhosts. He will decide who attacks first and who posts first.

The arena is a plain standard, outdoor arena. It has a fine grassy ground.

We’ve come here today to witness the grasspokemon showdown! The winner will go the finaly of the Grand Festival. Elec Man is a veteran who is known for having accurate reffing skills, a good array of interesting pokemon and an acchieving coordinator. River on the other hand is a weird young lady who has a random and fun team of thousands of pokemon. She has won many contests and was one of TPM’s most wanted refs! Let the match begin.

*Round One Begins*

The ref flags of the match and both pokemon take battle stance. Devros concentrates completely on his body and bulks it up so he looks bigger and stonger. Kusair on the other hand goes a more defensive way, she creates a shiny white armor around herself, protecting her from status inflictions.

Then, the bulked up Breloom goes in for a giant kick. He rushes forwards, takes a giant leap in the air and collects power in his foot, just before he could reach Kusair, she smiles and creates a red armor around herself. The foot and the gut make contact and Kusair gets blown backwards. Not as much as Devros that is, the red shiny armor was a Counter attack and had made quite the impact on Devros.

Devros, unsatisfied combines toxic poisons in her body and aims for Kusair. Kusair however releases an eye-blinding flash and makes Devros fire in the wrong direction. The Sludgebomb burns a hole in the grass.

[font=sylfaen] Good Kusair, move to a new location to confuse him some more. You know where he is so once you've moved shut your eyes and use Earthquake to bounce him around. Then use a Secret Power, followed by a Dragonbreath. If he tries an Attract or Swagger, Roar at him. Look away then attack at any Flashes.

Good first round Devros. Now then, start off by hunkering down and taking that quake, your not particularly vulnerable to it anyway. After the quake is subsided, use Mind Reader to get his location without relying on your sight at all, and that way the quake won't disturb you. Now that you've got a good mental lock on him, use a Mach Punch to dodge his attack (you know where he's aiming it) and get all close and personal, that'll be unexpected. Aim your punch at his gut, see if you can't knock the wind out of him for a bit. And finally, throw a powerful Sky Uppercut at him. If you can, try to jump over the dragon flames.

Kusair starts the round, by running to a different location, jumping up and crashing into the earth, staring an earthquake. Luckily the grass and Devros type protected him for the highest damage. Devros is still out of shape and uses Mind reader to locate Kusair exactly.

Kusair gets ready to fire his Secret power attack, but out of nowhere the green pokemon, Devros slams his fist into Kusairs belly, hurting it even more. The secret power attack goes right over the two pokemon, doing nothing. Then, Devros, powers up his foot and beats up Kusair into the sky. When he’s in the air, Kusair is suffering, but manages to get one good lock on on Devros and fire a Dragonbreath. Devros lays on the ground, hurt as Kusair falls down next to him, battered.

Devros is running towards Kusair in a rather strange way. Trying not to be seen and yet attacking isn’t the perfect combination. Suddenly Kusair Roars as loud as he can and Devros shivers back. No False Swipe.

Kusair turns around is circles, faster and faster, until his attack is raises! Devros shakes off his fear and cuts Kusiar hard, Kusair grunts. Devros isn’t willing to stop and cuts stronger and more powerfull on the same spot. Kusair really screams now, the cry is a torment on it’s own. He looks back at Devros with anger and releases an attack boosted, swift, Aerial Ace. Devros feels the wind cutting by his side and cries out in pain aswell. Devros feels intimidated.

Alright, Devros smiles at the offer and tosses in a powerfull Sludgebomb. The bomb hit the weak grassy hide and made it’s damage. Kusair however, is rather pissed and sends a fury of never-missing stars at Devros who made contact what so ever. (duh)

Both pokemon then sit down and decide to relax a bit, they both need it. Finally Kusair is the first to stand up and fire a strong purple-ish stream of dragonflames. Devros can just avoid the center of the attack, but gets hit by some sideflames. He then rushes forwards, towards Kusair and hits him in the belly again. Kusair falls down.

[color=#FFDD11]Good Devros. He's in pain on down on the ground, so act quickly and hit him with a Stun Spore. Slow him down a bit. Then, I want you to hit him hard with a Hammer Strike combo. Start with Seismic Toss to hurl him up into the air, and then use a Sky Uppercut to slam the lizard right back down to earth with great force. If the combo is foiled, then just split the moves and use them seperately. In case of roar, fire off Sludge Bombs until you feel up to approaching.

[font=sylfaen] Alright Kusair I want you to Relax the first turn. You're still protected by the Safeguard for 1 more round, so take the oppertunity to get up and get your bearings back. Then use Aerial Ace to zoom around and hit him from behind. Then use it again to the same spot on his back. Should he grab you, grab him right back, and Hyper Beam him to the face. The Relax the last turn if that's how MLG ref's it, or zoom at the probably stunned Devros with an Aerial Ace.

The round starts off with Devros firing a Stunspore towards Kusair, who just gets back up and relaxes. The invisbible white armor protects Kusair from the powder. Devros grunts.

Then Devros runs forwards to grab Kusair by the arm, but suddenly in a flash, Kusair dissapears and reappears behind Devros, smashing into him. Devros turns his back and kicks Kusair into the sky using his uppercut. Kusair regains his control again in the sky and turns around, diving down towards Devros, collapsing into the ground with Devros below him, a succesfull Aerial Ace.

Erm I don't mean any offense MLG but I have a bit of a difficulty with your reffing. Two rounds ago I hit Devros with one Aerial Ace and did 13% damage. The stats were the same (+1 A, +1 D for Devros, +2 A for Kusair) but this round I hit him with two, and only did 14% damage. Oo''' Like I said the stats haven't changed, so I really think I should of done more to him with his 4X weakness to Flying. I'm sorry to you both but I er, contest. *nods*

No biggie MLG, Happy belated Birthday to ya as well. ^^ Now, now Kusair,

I want you to use Escapeguard, Quick Attack and Safeguard. Use Quick Attack to turn away and zoom as far away from Devros while using Safeguard. Get that defense back up no mater what. Then use Dragon Claw to meet any attacks he makes on you. Same Subs as before, Roar and look away, but use in the place of Dragon Claw only.

You can run, but you can't hide.

Ok Devros, she wants to restore that shield. But we don't want any of that, now do we? So, you need to Snatch it. Since its a curse, running away shouldn't help her avoid it. Then, it depends on what she's going to do. You need to Counter the Dragon Claw, and with your other free action give her a Stun Spore dusting to get rid of that speed advantage. However, if for some reason you need to be close to use Snatch, then use a Mach Punch + Snatch combo to steal away that shield, then use Stun Spore.

Kusair starts by running away to somewhere, just away from Devros and tries to set up a Safeguard. This, however, isn’t working very well since Devros waited until completion of the shield and then snatched it from her hands! Devros smiles and prepares for some fury by the green dragonlike pokemon.

Fury he gets, as Kusair is running forwards with her hand/claw bundled with energy. She unleaches the dragonforce attack and Devros flies backwards, but mere seconds after that Kusair aswell as a succesful counter attack was used. Devros isn’t finished yet, painfully gets back up and throws a stun spore coat all over the fallen hero. Kusair crawls over the floor.

Eep! Sorry dude I didn't realize how much time had passed. K Kusair we are not in a good spot but let's try this. I want you to Relax until he attacks you. Then if he tries a Sludge Bomb or any long distance attack answer with Dragonbreath to incinerate it(the sludge) and attack him. You don't have to get up, so sit there. If he tries a physical hit, use Counter, just sit there. Then Relax again. If he tries any funny business with status attacks (Attract, Poisonpowder, etc) don't look at him and use Safeguard instead.

Ok Devros, this energy thing is really causing a lot of problems. But lets see what we can do. I want you to start off with a Spore. Hopefully being paralyzed will slow him down enough to let you hit before he manages to raise a Safeguard. Then go ahead and Relax again. And then, if he's sleeping get in there and smack him with a Dynamicpunch. If not, then burst into Fake Tears, make him feel bad.

*Round Eight Begins*

Kusari, exhaustion and paralysis plaguing her body, watches her opponent through narrowed eyes, waiting for her opponent's next move so she can act accordingly. Devros does not fail to deliver, shaking his mushroom cap and sending a cloud of poisonous spores flying. Kusari tenses, moving her arms in an action to erect a Safeguard, but just as she begins to do so, paralysis kicks in, rendering her body totally paralyzed, and utterly helpless to defend against the spores that makes her body heavy and tired with each intake of breath. It takes a few seconds, but eventually, the lizard behemoth falls to the ground, sleeping soundly.

Devros the Breloom sighs in relief, feeling his energy ebbing away as well. In order to rectify this, he plumps down on his rear end, and closes his eyes, taking a much needed break from the all-out brawl that seems to be finally nearing its end. Three minutes pass this way, with Kusari gently snoring, Devros relaxing.

But, as with every battle, the break ends all too quickly, and Devros reluctantly picks himself up, his whole body feeling refreshed, though not for long, if the match had anything to say about it. Allowing his fist to glow with a focused chi passed down through many Breloom generations, Devros takes off and his spring like feet. His sleeping opponent has no way to counter the move, and Devros' fists make contact with Kusari's head. The hard punch sends Kusari's head snapping back with a rather sickly crack that jolts Kusari awake, seeing stars, with a head filled with pain and confusion as she tries to make sense of the arena around her, completely addled and confused beyond all reason.

BTW, thanks for stepping up and volunteering for reffing Saffire, much appreciated. But you've got a whole lot of reffings on your plate, don't overexert yourself

Actually, Kussari's health was 19 last round :/ I forgot to copy that in when I did the Reffings, as I copy and paste each opponent's stats after quoting the last round. I forgot to do Kusari's at the first, so it was the original round's beginning stats. So, it's right now. And it is 7%

Ah, right you are Saffire. And Copy+Paste is the way to go for reffings, indeed. No sense writing it out a second time.

Alrighty Devros. That was some excellent luck, but the battle isn't over just yet. Keep your wits sharp. Your energy is still low, so start off by Relaxing (and close your eyes just in case she tries anything funny) twice. Then, get in there and use Brick Break, hopefully for the knockout. If she tries to use Protect or Detect for her final action, then Relax instead.

Kusair I want you to use Focus Punch to settle your addled brains and focus your mind. Then, of course, thwack him. If your feeling to paralyctic, or really muddled the first attack, Relax and use it next turn. Then Counter the Brick Break. No moving here, tis not needed.
