Right! With all the trainers running around like chickens with their heads cut off, this Ref will get a battle up! A little confusing maybe, but all's good. They dodge the hecklers and general mayhem and get to the Indigo Stadium mostly intact. It is empty as many people are figuring out their er, OL lives.

The two trainer look to the Ref, who nods, and they toss their Poké's. With Silencer, a Sneasel named Asuma takes the stage. A Haunter and Bulbasaur, Shikamaru and Ino respectively, take their places on the side.

Houndoom_Lover is not far behind and releases her three, a Houndoom ironically enough is the first batter up, named, er, Mephistopheles, and from here on is going to be known as Mephi! A Snubbull and Chikorita, also respectively Grand-Sama and Sherman, take to the feild, glaring at their fellow side-liners. With a coin toss, the Ref points to Silencer to post his attacks first. The Ref hopes she survies this madness.

Alright Asuma, let's get in close and start with a crush claw. Then get furious and use some fury swipes. Finally we'll finish off with a Slash. If he feals like taking advantage of his type advantage take some revenge with faint attack

Well this is sure to be a repetitive round. With Asuma's sub he is going to be doing a lot of phasing out. Asuma watches Mephi and immediately gets ready to disappear when he sees Mephi powering up a Flamethrower. Mephi sucks a vacuum bag worth of air, holds it, and then releases a torrent of fire. Asuma concentrates then phases out and rushes around and behind Mephi. Mephi stops, and looks confused. He thinks he hears something, flicks an ear at it then is bowled over sideways. He snarls at Asuma when he stops, Asuma just salutes.

Mephi looking disgruntled gets up and fires another blast of fire at Asuma. Asuma once again disappears and this time he slams Mephi from the back. Mephi is knocked arse over teakettle and yelps as he lands wrong on his front right paw. Mephi glares at Asuma, getting very irate now, but Asuma looks bored.

Mephi has a slight limp as he turns around and he switches gears. He takes a long time holding hi flames this time and when he breathes them out, they are super hot. Asuma figures, hey its fire, I'm weak to fire, I no like. For the last time he fades out and this time swipes Mephi upside the head. Mephi's fall on his butt and snaps irritably at Asuma. He just leaps out of the way. The tag-ies are looking on with interest.

Now, now Mephi is NOT a happy doggy. Er wolf, yeah. He is snarling at Asuma, but he just looks bored with the whole preceding. He watches calmly as Mephi howls and growls about the pain Asuma will endure if her tries to use an attack twice in a row. Asuma shivers but simply accepts this. He raises a claw and curves it as much as he can. His fist starts to shake with the withheld power. Then he smirks evilly and rushes at Mephi. Asuma comes up right under Mephi head and slams his fist home. Mephi flips over backwards and lands with a crash and a yelp. As he slowly gets to his feet, he is having real problems breathing.

Next Asuma watches uninterested as Mephi howls to the sun with various chants thrown in. As the sun comes out and pours down its warmth and heat, Asuma thinks this is bad. He starts to bounce around, and chats himself. The Sun is too weak and the clouds pour in. They get very dark and a silence descends over the field. Everyone looks around when with gust a wind, the rain pours down.

Mephi snorts and shakes his head, sending a shower of water in every direction. Asuma isn’t much of fan either, but its better then the sun. Mephi snaps his jaws before in taking air. A brief hold and he fires at Asuma. Asuma narrows his eyes and zips to the side. He comes around, sprinting his legs off and slams into Mephi’s side. Mephi grunts but is not knocked over this time.

Oh Mephi is not in a good mood. He has been twacked mightily hard and all he wants is to get his revenge. He sees Asuma coming but pulls his own disappearing act. Asuma comes running but tries to grab at nothing. He crashes into the ground and is then swept up into the air by a right side slam by Mephi. He grunts as he hits the ground but quickly gets back up. Mephi is feeling a little better about finally getting a hit on her foe.

Asuma is first off the bat and runs to Mephi again. He raises his left arms and swipes the giant dog across the chest. He howls and tries to summon up and happy thoughts he can. They're not many and he draws heavily on his one hit so far. He leaps at Asuma and tossed him over his shoulder with his head. Asuma crashes into the ground, but is no too badly hurt, as Mephi wasn't particularly happy.

Asuma rushes once more at Mephi and gets two swipes in on his face before he is slammed from the left. He skids and bounces on the grass and looks at his attacker. It is Grand-Sama, grinning about finally being some use. Then Sherman comes in from the left as well and bashes his head into Asuma. Asuma yelps and his hit one final time by Mephi himself and he looks like one battered Pokémon by rounds end.

Let's rain, let it rain let it raaaain. Oh right that's supposed to be snow. Though um not recently *arghs* Anyway! So Mephi does try to get his clones out but Asuma is just to fast for him. He fires an Ice Beam at his feet and they quite effectively solidify his feet to the grassy arena floor. He splits off but can't move his feet worth a, err, Psyduck. The doubles are there but it is quite obvious which is the real one, as he can't move.

The next round Mephi the clones disappear as concentrates and phases out. It is enough to get his paws free from the ice. He runs at Asuma, and he looks displeased. As he can't do Focus Punch he raises his claw in waiting. Mephi slams into him just as he swipes downward. Mephi howls and Asuma grunts and is tossed back wards. Mephi reaches to his shoulder and licks his wounds.

Mephi turns his head and growls at Asuma. His HP is much lower then Asuma and he feeds that into his attack. He waits to see what Asuma will do. He is not disappointed as Asuma clenches his claws and they starts to glow with crackling white energy. He grins maliciously and takes the few short steps to Mephi and slams him. He lowers his head, and charges at Asuma, his pain and the recent attack supplies the power to it and Asuma is ruthlessly slams into the now basically mud field, beaten up quite thoroughly.

Right, Mephi got 4% damage from half damage of an Ice Beam. Then 7% from a crush Claw and 20% from a double power Dynamic Punch. So 31% damage.

Asuma got 3% from Faint attack. Then he got max damage I allow for the Reversal. Mephi has taken a LOT of beating this match and the Dynamic Punch did not help. So I figured that he was greatly disadvantaged and so would deal out as much damage as he could. So total of 35% HP loss.

Mephi is not a happy doggy. He is soaking wet and very nearly out, by an annoying Sneasel no less. He snarls at him me marbles not all quite there, but decent enough. Asuma does not look concerned. Asuma clenches his fist and starts to zoom at Mephi. He is concentrating on his fist, and is not as fast as usual. Mehpi doesn’t like the look of this and starts to focus on zooming away. Just as he is phasing out, Asuma reaches him. Asuma kind hits him, kinda doesn’t. His fist and shoulder connect but with not as much resistance as is suspected. The next second Mephi vanishes. Asuma looks around and about five seconds later Mephi come flying out of his phase and crashes into the ground. Out for the count. Asuma looks confused but shrugs it off. He runs over to his Haunter teammate and he comes floating onto the field in his stead.

Right, Mephi got about half damage from the Focus Punch as he was phasing out and half ‘here’ and half ‘elsewhere’ if you get my meaning. So half damage from Focus is 8% x 2 = 16%. He also got hit by the quick attack and got 2% damage from that, knocking him out.

The Ref apologizes for her lateness; she was hooked on her new video games. It was unlikely she would be pulled away from them bar using a crowbar. So Houndoom Lover sorrowfully returns her mighty dog and calls out a smaller one. The grrrrrrirific Snubbull. She energetically calls out her attacks while Silencer sighs. He calls out his and Haunter sweeps forward to Snubbull. He tries to look into his eyes but is being blocked by the growing almost clear ball. The ball sparks and crackles, not letting Shika get a clear view. He shakes his floating fist in aggravation before blanching. Well as much as ghost can blanch without phasing out. The ball of ghostly pain soars toward him, merrily staticing away. He yells in fright before being slammed right in the face by it. He shouts and claws at his face, in great pain.

Now she shakes his head clear of the pain and glares menacingly at the annoying pup. It barks joyfully and Shika takes his chance. He looks deep, deep into his eyes. He wavers where he stands and barks once more sleepily before falling to the ground, a snoozing away.

Shika cackles, oh this is just prime. He floats over the slumbering doggy and places his hand ever so gently on his head. He focuses and tries to twist all his dreams into ghoulish images. He frowns and keeps trying but it is just not working. Finally he backs away frustrated and glaring at the dog. His ghost type attack just can’t get a hold to his normal type brain, the thread just slip on through. He huffs and crosses his hands and if he’d had a foot, he’d be tapping it. The rain finally let’s up and the sun comes peaking through the clouds.

All confusion has been rectified and so on with the battle! Snore will only work on the on field Pokémon and so he tries Rest. Since Sama is well, sleeping, he can't very well fall asleep to fix himself. So that just doesn't work. 'Maru cackles and takes full advantage of this gleeful fact. He takes careful aim and ka-SPLATTER. Poor Samma has been drenched in that gooey yucky poison mess.

Next up Sama is just snoozing away right now, taking a break. Not for long though. 'Maru concentrates and a couple balls of bright blue flame appear in from of him. Bursting into existence from thin air. When he thinks he has enough he sends them on their way. They crash into poor Sama's hide and the super hot fire makes him come to yelping, and clutching his head. He snarls and rushes at 'Maru. His jaws crackle with dark energy and they somehow are able to gain purchase on 'Maru's corporeal form and do him great damage.

Now 'Sama is not happy, oh no he isn't going to be satisfied with a sweet smile and an apology. He wants REVENGE! Mwahahahahaa! Er yes . . Anyway glares at the offending up and picks him up with his uber angry mind of doom. He twacks him here, he tosses him there. All in all, Sama is not a happy doggy. When he is finally released, he digs into the ground, panting, and not to happy.

Shika starts right off and swoops over to Asuma and taps him on the shoulder. They switch placed and Asuma takes up his position on the field. Just in time to be sent flying through the air. Sama bursts through the ground and tackled Asuma. He grunted as he hit the ground and spared an evil look for Sama as he got to his feet.

The next second he launches himself forward, raising his left hand as he runs at Sama. He sets it straight and skids to a stop as he swings. It slams into the puppy and Sama yelps as the claw slams into his side. Then he disappears and Asuma is left looking around. He has just enough time to start to worry when he is crashed into from behind. He kisses dirt and huffs, sanding up a cloud of torn grass.

Sama now sets up curing himself of his ills. He takes a deep breath and a deep gong starts to be emitted from his mouth, when a horrible screech rips across the area. It is the most horrible sound, a gong with an almost too high to hear screech. Sama stops before he is able to fully complete the attack, clutching his ears. When the horrible noise finally ends Sama looks moderately better but not cured fully of his ills. He is still clutching his ears while Asuma looks satisfied.

So once more the arm goes up and the sharp-clawed fiend of DOOM flies toward the growly puppy of foeness. He gets to within a few feet of the doggy when he turns to the left and disappears. This has been a popular trick in this match. The number of times these two are disappearing, it makes Houdini look like an amateur. Oh, right. Yes the puppy of grr-arg zooms around in the ethereal area of invisibility and pops one upside the evil weasel-like-thingy. (Ok there is only so many ways I can describe Faint Attack and I'm running out so excuse the oddness)

Now Asuma is quite peeved to have missed his target again and spins around, his other claw up this time. Just as he is about to crash down on Sama, he leaps forward and licks him all down his face. Asuma shudders and leaps away, desperately wiping at his face, absolutely disgusted.

This time Asuma zooms at high-speed and slices at Sama with both claws; deeply angered and quite disturbed. Sama yelps and cowers, Asuma looking pleased. He slowly gets up, wincing and um, well I guess you could describe it as a giant spit ball (as I have no idea how Snubbull knows Water Pulse) and hurls it at Asuma. He is splattered but not confused.

Asuma is mad. So mad in fact, that he is ticked. No, not inhabited with little bugs that make you itch and sometimes hallucinate very strange things. Like blue fire cracking loud lights, that speak sagely, and are, in fact the knowers of all things internet-y. No. I mean angry, as in if glares could kill, Grand-Sama would be his very own Funeral Pyre, angry. So it should come as no great surprise that when Asuma summoned up all things furious in his mind, Sama was sent tumbling arse over teakettle. In fact, had the teakettle existed, it would have joined him in his aerobatics.

As such when he finally landed with a mighty thud, he was greatly shaken up and very bruised. Asuma was mighty pleased with himself, and feeling much better for having got some of his own back. Sama wobbled to his feet and glared at all three Sneasel's staring him down. Thankfully Shockwave does not require the presence of ones wits when used, or Sama would have missed horribly. As it was, the bolts of lighting were charged and fired, all striking very nicely into Asuma. Making him growl with annoyance.

Asuma shakes off any lingering twitchiness and then . . . gets an overdose of sugar. Well he might as well have! He zips at Sama with such speed that before Sama has a chance to get anywhere near something that is called 'away', he is tripped up and makes intimate contact with the ground. Asuma is pleased with his work, when Sama abruptly is no longer making strange noises into the turf. He blinks, confused, and then is send crashing to the left, jarring his shoulder and wincing as he skids.

Sama is snarling, very angry of being made into the fool twice in a row. He wastes no time and calls up his last spicy diner encounter and it bursts into fiery life and inch from his nose. He shapes the angry flames into a vaguely man-shaped form, and shoves it forward with a huff of air. Asuma looks at it terrified before he remembers his own attack. He hastily gets his feet under him, and only just gets away, the fires licking at his fur as he vanishes. Sama howls in anger and once more graces the grass with his face as Asuma thwacks him.
