I dont really wanna say. When sending the teams off I did often think "wow, that's gonna be a tough one to beat". At the same time I thought some peoples Pokemon might be easier to take down.

All 3 water starters final forms are lurking among peoples teams. A couple of people have shinies. And there are some Eeveelutions as well!

I'll say nothing more since a lot of the excutement is in the element of surprise among the teams. What will your opponent send out? A mighty Tyranitar or a miniscule Corsola?

Wait until Round 2. Then it gets exciting.

Indeed. I mean Octillery is based off an artillery weapon hence all the projectiles like bullet seed and etc. But why can Manectric learn FLAMETHROWER in D/P? I'm sure Electrivire can as well. :-s

Yah, Whiscash with Spark is wierd. It's body shouldn't even be able to conduct electricity being a ground type. *shrug*

As for Flamethrower on Octillary, thats why Octillary rocks . It learns at least half of the different types in the game, maybe more.But its not like its the only water type to learn Flamethrower (Gyarados does as well off the top of my head, maybe others), so its not that wierd. Besides, Octillary is supposed to be like the projectile king (illary = Artillary, and his natural moveset is pretty much all beams), so its fitting that he has most projectiles. I just wonder why he doesn't have Shadow Ball and, a bit more obscure but still fitting, Zap Cannon.

Rhydon with Surf is just crazy. Of course, so is Nidoking / Nidoqueen and Aggron. I suppose water doesn't harm them unless its forcefully applied via attack, but still doesn't seem like the best idea to submerge yourself in your weakness.

I never ceased to be amused watching them fly up in Stadium games. On that note, one of my favorite things to do was to teach Mimic to a Persian and copy Fly. XDXD

I don't think Whiscash with Spark is as random as it seems. In the first WarioWare game, there's a minigame where you light a city using a spark from a catfish. Maybe it's some Japanese folktale or something.

I'd be afraid of a fish that can shoot steams of fire, freezing beams, and rapid-fire rocks. Plus, it can couple as a Stun Gun for those non-lethal jobs.

So: Random Tourney! Competetors, how are you feeling? Are your teams as you expected or not? Let us know! I for one would be terrified that my opponents were keeping their best Pokemon under wraps. Its kinda interesting because on one hand you dont want to reveal your best Pokemon in case you want to use it in a later round...but at the same time you need to GET to said later round so....it's a pickle.

It's also exciting due to the actual magnitude of the teams. All random teams are single-evo's and final evo's so there are Metagross, Typhlosion, Swampert, Vileplume and Poliwrath lurking in peoples teams!

Despite not competing I am looking forward to it and I hope everyone else is, too. I would think we could do another in the future.

Also on topic: after The Tiny Tournament we could perhaps try a Legendary Tournament? There would be SOME restrictions on Pokemon like Lugia, Ho-Oh and Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza due to their size. But how about including:

I'm going to be working on the new D/P Attacks as of today so we can fine-tune them for ASB. All new D/P Pokemon's names are released, so all that is left is working on attacks!
