Cool beans. Lessee here... Hypnotik, start off by hitting that bouncing snake... drill... flying worm... geez, whatever the heck Dunsparces are with a nice, healthy Taunt. Nothing like attacking someone's self-esteem early in the morning, eh? See if you can get that in before he Astonishes you, as I don't want that little risk of flinching stopping Taunt. Next, Thunder Wave him while he's sitting there immobile/doing something other than Screech; while he's immobilized, nail him with Brick Break. That oughta put some hurt on 'im.

Welcome to the forest by the lake, isn’t it grand! Such peaceful majestic wonder this lake side meadow gives us. Such…such…dude…its grass and water…how dull is that I say? Anyway, not my choice of battle sites but it is for today’s battlers. Phoenixsong steps forth, garbed in a red winged outfit and followed closes by a pudgy tapir. Her opponent greets her friendly as he holds a strangely fat serpent with tiny wings and a drill like tail (Weird much…). Muddy leaps from DarkestLights hands and squares off against Hypnotik, Let’s Get It On!

Gearing up right from the get go the strange Normal serpent slither in a burst of speed that can’t be tracked very easily. The Drowzee is thrown off guard by this technique and quickly searches for his foe but he easily makes himself known by tackling Hypnotik in his unprotected backside to face plant him into the soil. “How’d that blubbery snake move so fast!” thinks Hypnotik.

Shaking bits of grass from his body (Stubborn grass stains!) Hypnotik turns to his opponent with his hands cupped in front of him. A sudden surge of blue electricity grows between his palms and as he rears his arms back to throw it Muddy opens his mouth, uttering a horrible squeal that reverberates throughout the arena. The sound attack disturbs the Drowzee’s concentration and he lobs his Thunder Wave over Muddy’s body.

Frustration is kicking in for the dream tapir and he pounds his fist into his hand to show he will beat the living snot out of this bastard Dunsparce. Muddy remains cool and collected as Hypnotik rushes with his fist ready to clobber him but inches before initial contact can be made Muddy illuminates his eyes a piercing color of fear. Hypnotik locks with this death gaze and freezes mid swing, unable to move against such a frightening appearance. Muddy gurgles with joy as the living statue of his opponent.

Yeah, I know the field is generic. DL wanted a quick battle, though, so I went with the fastest, simplest battlefield I possibly could. My apologies for the uninteresting terrain.

Hypnotik struggle with his locked joints and manages to relax enough for semi normal movement. Taking his chance he drops into a defensive stance, arms crossed in front of him, and chants in his native tongue. From the air a golden wall of energy forms and instantly vanishes leaving behind it defensive effects. Muddy plays witness to this maneuver and with a tooth smile he lunges for Drowzee and chomps on his arm! The attacks stings greatly but his barrier absorbs half of the punishment.

The psychic slings the snake to the ground and rubs his arm which is now lined with small teeth marks. He buckles down again and raises another shield this time of a soft violet hue and again it fade to nothing to leave its defensive effects. Muddy decides to play this game as well, but now own raise his Special Defense but Attack as well. He closes his eyes and mediates to reach a higher plane of conciseness simply by calming all his thoughts.

Now fully secure in defenses Hypontik bursts with psychic energy and uses his will to physically rip a hole in space time and look into a future event. Happy with one he has found he quickly sends a Psychic blast through and closes the portal. Muddy has no clue to what has happened but while an opening is here he strikes with a loud yawn and as he does a yellowish mist come forth and surrounds Hypnotik. The slumber pPokemon suddenly falls to slumber as he staggers and drops unconscience….

Muddy beams as he has the obvious advantage right now, and with Hypnotik is dream land who’s going to stop him eh? The past my friends…the past… Muddy gathers potent electrical energy to paralyze the Drowzee but a hole tears in space time, opening a portal from the past with a small glimpse of a sneering tapir on the other side. The Psychic blast collides with Muddy and throws him for a loop and as he lands Hypnotik springs to his legs. Under Sleep talk he murmurs to himself and claps his hands together just to extend them outward, releasing his trademark ability, Hypnosis. Now Muddy is the one over taken by slumber.

The Drowzee slouches and continues to murmur again but Muddy does nothing but snore up a storm. Hypnotik drops down into perfect lotus position and begins a deep Mediation, which causes his physical strength to rise.

The title of sitting duck has changed as Muddy rolls over in peaceful dreams and Hyp’ pulls a fist back and focuses all his energy to it. Normally Focus Punche never reach maximum potential for obvious reason for nearly “Perfect” concentration. This special moment however deems suitable for the attack to cover his entire right fist and extend a bit up his Bicep. Hyp’ rushes forth and swings low for the snake and clobbers him with impressive force, enough to fling Muddy away like a rag doll into the lake. Rudely awaken with a swollen jaw and trying to stay afloat, Muddy shrills with surprise as Hypnotik falls to his back asleep…

Muddy’s name is literal as he snakes back to the edge of land after is unannounced flight. The serpent fumes as that no good tapir sleeps in perfect peace. Muddy flashes white briefly and in a circle 5 copies of him appear to confuse Hypnotik later.

Muddy continues on the offensive by gathering a blacken ball, tinged with violet, into his mouth. In sequence all of his clones do the same maneuver to keep up their trick. Hypnotik rolls over and scratches his ear just as he is blasted from all sides by Shadow Balls, although only one does real damage.

Jarred to consciousness, the sleeping pokemon finds his bearings and stares all around him at the new playmates he has acquired. In the back of his mind he remembers his attack plan, but who should he hypnotize? He directs his waves to his left and as they touch the copy vanishes! Muddy lunges as if on cue and strikes Hypnotik in the back of the neck, as well as the other clones grabbing on to various body parts doing no harm. Hypnotik flails about, knocking the other Dunsparces into oblivion and tears Muddy away from him, taking a chunk of his flesh with him….

The serpent keeps on the attack as his body crackles with sharp blue electricity. The impending paralysis cautions the tapir to respond accordingly with a barrier. Waving his hands in a rhythmic fashion, a bright green, swirling dome of energy manifest around Hypnotik and fade away to leave is effects on his body. The Thunder Wave escapes Muddy as a speeding ball of coiled lightening but the Safegaurd harmlessly absorbs it.

Discouraged a bit Muddy opts to replenish his energy and leaps head first into the earth, spinning like a drill and boring a tunnel. Hypnotik sees an opportune time to send some discomfort to his enemy and bound over to the hole, spewing from his nostrils a thick black gas that chokes Muddy in poison.

Satisfied that Muddy wont be relaxing as he barely can breath in his self made trap, Hypnotik focus and tears another hole in Space/Time to release an impending Psychic blast, a sick grin on his face…

Mwahaha, loverly, Hypnotik. Simply loverly. I imagine that Muddy won't be hanging down there very long, but let's take advantage of this while we can. Head back over to the hole and Taunt him; he won't be able to see you, most likely, so make it nice and loud. Maybe diss his momma or somethin', I dunno... just make sure he hears you loud and clear. You'll probably take a hit, but so be it. Teleport clear across the field from him after his first attack; I'd like to see a Dunsparce catch up to you in an action. Finally, Protect against his last attack.

The utter jubilation written on the psychics face beams from ear to ear. Hypnotik skips over to the burrow, which smokes with his lethal toxins, and ready to scream some nasty insult to fuel this worm to combat but a glowing umbra fills his eyes. Without any chance to think the tapir is blasted right in his face by a speeding Shadow Ball which is closely flowed by Muddy leaping out.

Shocked (and a bit freaked by the speed and determination of this creature) Hypnotik snaps his fingers and in a whoosh of light he vanishes into thin air. Muddy snarls, “Coward..” he thinks to himself. He focuses inward to his darkness, a predatory ability to hunt any prey to all ends of the earth with no escape. Muddy’s scaly body covers with black ooze and he levitates inches from the ground targeting Hypnotik. While a great distance away catching his breath, Muddy closes the gap in seconds and smashes in the Drowzees stomach taking his breath away.

Rising up shaky Hypnotik shivers a bit at the unrelenting power of Dunsprace and erects a white cube of Protection for his sake and sanity. Muddy grins at how intimidating he can be and simply curls up and take a break from the action.

Inside his shield Hypnotik feel’s the safest he’s ever have since the beginning of this bout. Muddy growls and darts at the psychic to attempt to Astonish him but he only manages to bang into the Protect. Hypnotik takes this chance to talk mad smack by Muddy’s mom and a unpleasant “Gangbang” situation (Oh snap! No he didn’t!!)

Rage clouds all judgment to entice the snake to strike for Drowzee with teeth barred. Light encompasses Hypnotik and he vanishes with out a trace much to the annoyance of Muddy who snaps his jaws around air. Hypnotik appears a good 30ft away from his opponent keeping a keen eye on him.

The tapir sighs with relief at the chance to finally catch his breath Muddy still teems with hate for the foul insults he had to endure. Forgoing any type of rest, Muddy uses it's little wings to zip over to his distance adversary and tackle him in the stomach, grinning devilishly.

Both opponents feel fatigue growing around them and with little time remaining they must give their best for the rest of the battle. Hypnotik clenches his fist, gathering a latent leeching ability but as he concentrates a spinning ball of shadows fall for him. As a precaution from this type of attack, Hypnotik waves his hands and erects a white dome over himself, blocking the Shadow ball completely.

Muddy is already in mid-charge of another Shadow in hopes of making his foe waste energy. He fires it and bounces off the continued Protect that surrounds Hypnotik. The shield flickers lightly as the longer Protect is used the more energy is needed and eventually it becomes less resilient.

Muddy’s strength is running low as he manifest his last ghost attack which is half its normal size but before he can use it a psychic blast tears through a dimensional worm hole and plows Muddy into the ground.. Beads of sweat fall from Hypnotik’s brow as he looses his concentration and in turn loses his Protect but he grins exhausted and takes a slight rest for himself…

Fatigue in normal circumstances mean a lack of energy to complete a task but a brand new technique now in play will find being tired ones greatest asset. Muddy heaves from exhaustion and closes his eyes building up a monumental about of flashing white light. As the energy begins to leave his body and draw up floating over his head as an orb his ears catch the berating taunts of Drowzee. The anger that Muddy feels over power his attack summoning and he cancels it out to ram Hypnotik with his body.

Injured, Hypnotik stands fast watching his opponent and getting a second wind. With even less energy than before Muddy create an even more massive floating ball of white luminance which he spring up and head butts at Hypnotik. The sphere, about the size of the beach ball roars and strikes the Drowzee square in the chest which drags him a good yard away before reaching critical mass and exploding, throwing Hypnotik across the field.

With nothing left to give, Muddy falls in exhaustion and does the only he can do, relax. Hypnotik with a little energy left groggily get up and shambles over to Muddy clobbering him with a punch that saps his life away through a leeching spell.
