It is May 1st and the beginning of the Diamond and Pearl takeover! ASB is now being fitted with the latest DP stuff so check it out and prepare to catch all these new species!

I got Shinx (Needed an electric type bad) and was going to evolve it straight away with my Diamond, but in the end opted to get an extra Pokemon. I got Stunky since it's quite badass and its evo learns flamethrower. I WAS going to get Piplup but its evolutions don't look very fast.

Question for you Chris (or other mods). Obviously, pretty much every pokemon is getting a plethora of D/P moves or moves it otherwise couldn't learn before.

How do we go about the transition? Can we use the new attacks (or old attacks newly learned) immedietly in every battle, or should we stick to the old attacks in old battles, and wait until we start new battles to use the new attacks?

I don't see why you couldn't use them immediately, but if Chris or Becca disagrees, we'll sort it out.

I also got a Combee because Vespiquen is awesome.

Also guys if you're getting Burmy/Combee remember that Female Combee evolve into Vespiqueen NOT MALE. And Male Burmy evolve into Mothim but female into Wormadam.

Anyway I have my Shinx and Stunky. I quite like the look of Snover. Ice and Grass go together nicely for Contests methinks. I also want to evolve Murkrow into Honchkrow....hmm. I think I'll get a Snover soon.

I actually might head into the Safari Zone again.

Snover is very cool (pun intended ), but that type combo is horrible, at least as far as defense. 7 weaknesses, 1 of which is a double-weakness, and few resistances. Almost Parasect bad.

I reckon you're right about contests, though.

Anyway... I chose Carnivine, because its just awesome. Venus Flytraps rock, and its got a sweet name too.

Can't think up a good name for it though. It needs a cool nickname to go with its coolness... its Blade temporarily, though.

It is technically not a legendary Pokemon but it is bred from Manaphy. So what does anyone think? Should we allow Phione in ASB?

There's absolutely no reason not to include Phione. It is not a Legendary, it has a very limited movelist, it can breed, and it doesn't have any possible means of evolving into Manaphy. If there's no other reason to keep it out of ASB than aesthetic value, then I'm totally against banning it.

Alright new start for me, put up some of my pokemon up for trade. This is the first wave, prehaps there'll be a second wave. Trying some new pokemon, a new team.

I'm thinking about the two dinosaurs, the sand hippo, Toxicroa and probably Bronzer.
