*eye twitches wildly*
My parents didn't want me to come home immediately after school let out because the house was having some problems. (It flooded a few months ago - don't ask - and the repairs still haven't been completed.) So I stayed at a friend's house on Friday night, went to his graduation on Saturday, slept there again that night, and drove home Sunday. Hence why I haven't been here.
I came home to find that the entire right side of the house was completely devoid of furniture (and was mostly inaccesible). Note that the right side includes the living room, the guest bedroom, my parents' bedroom, and the master bathroom. The remaining portion includes the kitchen, my bedroom, a small bathroom, the laundry room, and the attic.
My parents have been using my bedroom since theirs has no bed. This left me with, much like poor little Harry Potter, the attic. There's a couch up there with blankets and a pillow. Yay. Real comfortable, considering that the air conditioner doesn't reach the attic, thus leaving me completely susceptible to the 80-degree heat coupled with wicked humidity. And that's the temperature at night.
Of course, the workers really went at it today... er, it's after midnight now, so I guess that would be yesterday, wouldn't it? Anyway, now none of us can so much as step foot inside the house. To make a long story short, my family is staying with my grandparents, I'm lodged in the tiny second guest bedroom, their computer is so old and buggy that it can't even read forum text correctly, and there's no way in heck that I can get anything accomplished until at least late tomorrow; it'll probably be more like Thursday before I can even set up my computer in the little boiler room back home.
I spent most of the day trying to go completely insane so that I could laugh at the whole thing, and I'm left longing for the attic. But maybe the fact that I'm slightly smiling shows that I succeeded.
