Try and counter the clones with a huge wave of surf from your lake. Then, finish off anything that's left, or, try and stop up Pidgeotto with a widepspread blizzard. Hopefully, that will be hard to dodge. Finish up by slamming the defenseless bird with a Rock Slide -- It should be easy pickings, as Pidgeotto does not learn twister until 4th generation.

Battle
The two trainers arrive at the calm meadow, hoping for a good battle. MeLoVeGhOsTs throws the first pokeball out into the short grass, and out of it emerges a Pidgeotto. She crows and looks around the nice arena keenly. The challenger chucks his own pokeball, this one opening to reveal a strangely named, and uniquely colored Totodile who flashes a toothy grin toward the bird. Both trainers yell their commands, and the ref officially starts the battle by shouting "Begin!".

Taking first initiative in the battle, Mercury spreads her wings and flits a few feet off the ground. Once airborne, she closes her eyes for a moment, channeling additional energy through her muscles. Her eyelids shoot open and she soars at a high speed, dashing around the arena. The flying type moves so fast that her body seems to split into three, resault of a clever use of Double Team. The trio continue their flight, but Jesus doesn't seem all too impressed. Raising his arms as his eyes shine, Totodile takes control of a large mass of water from the central pond. A sizable wave is formed, and then rushes over the grass toward the 3 Pidgeotto. The small flock fly away from the approaching wave as it crashes down with a thundrous splash. As the aquatic attack seeps into the earth, Jesus still sees two birds fluttering, and lets out a somewhat disappointed groan. Seems he didn't kill two birds with one... uh, wave.

But its Mercury's turn for disappointment when she recalls her next order. Creating a wind, she can do. But unfortunately she lacks the dragon energy to embue the storm and create a proper Twister. She glares at her trainer and lets out an emberassed cry. Jesus chuckles with evil intent, opens his jaws and inhales deeply. The little gator gathers energy from his core, creating a powerful sphere of frigid energy between his sharp teeth. He blows with all his might, sending a potent chilled wind out in a wide cone. Icy chunks and flakes of snow rush onward with the gale, and the spread of the attack leaves even the speedy Pidgeotto nowhere to run, or fly for that matter. Both Mercury and her clone are overtaken by the onrush, the clone vanishing instantly in the disturbance while Mercury herself screeches as the freezing gust bites at her body. The chill blows around her, pelting her with chunks of ice for a moment, before Totodile runs out of breath and the wind dies down. As he catches his breath again, he smiles.

Shivering and with no direction, Mercury simply waits it out, hoping that she can perhaps do something to avoid the next attack thrown at her. The bird watches intently as Jesus digs his claws into the ground, looking for something. It doesn't take long before the water type locates his target, and quickly rips up the large stone, then hurls it at Pidgeotto. She swiftly soars out of the way of the incoming rock, then lets out a suprised crow as a second narrowly misses her. The projectiles of various size keep coming, but Mercury uses her speed to avoid each of them in turn. Reluctantly, Jesus halts his attack and looks on at his opponent with some annoyance while dusting his hands off.

Still, the little Totodile is feeling rather good about his start to the battle. He glances toward his trainer, eagerly awaiting orders, while Mercury gives a relieved sigh. With the battle just starting, only time will tell where the battle goes, and the trainers think their hardest for the upcoming second round.

Jesus, attack her directly! Hit Pidge with a rock slide, then follow up with a powerful ice beam. Finish with another surf. (After the first attack, retreat to the lake for your next two.) If he tries to come in close for an attack, use swords dance to create a makeshift air whirpool, to power yourself up and get that fool outta your way.

Gust and blow back the rocks in Jesus' direction. Then Faint attack and dissapear before he can locate you to shoot you with Icebeam. Finish up with Mudslap before he can reach the pond. Blind him.

Battle
The battle is just starting up, but that's not stopping the trainers from going at it with aggression. They each issue their commands, and both the bird and the crimson crocodile give cries of acknowledgement.

Hoping to recover from her somewhat emberassing first round, Mercury flutters in midair, waiting for the little gator to make his move. Jesus seems happy to oblige, and he again rakes his claws through the ground, drawing up a pile of stones. He grunts as he lifts them with his short arms, and then hurls them toward the waiting Pidgeotto. She nods and starts to thrust her wings through the air, kicking up a potent wind that blows forward. Potent though it may be, air is rather ineffective againt solid and heavy stones, and the gust can't prevent the boulders from hurtling through the air and slamming into the pidgeon. The series of hard projectiles pummel her, leaving painful bruises across her body. Just managing to stay airborne, she groans with each flap of her bruised wings. Jesus' mouth widens to a grin once again, starting to really feel on top.

Totodile intends to keep the pressure on, and his grin opens to gaping jaws as he gathers more ice energy from the depths of his body. Sphere of ice pulsating in his mouth, he cackles to himself as he steps back slowly, inching his way toward the deep pond. But before he can release the icy streak, Mercury lets out a crow, and then melds her body into the shadows, vanishing from view. Quickly and silently she soars through the air, passing the lizard and coming around from behind. Jesus still retains the gathered ice energy while whipping his head from side to side, trying to locate the bird. He's taken by complete suprise when Pidgeotto reappears, a faint darkness still encircling her body, and tackles him from behind. Stumbling forward, he inadvertantly releases the frigid beam harmlessly onto the ground, creating an icy patch which he promtly falls on and slides across. Mercury laughs as Totodile pushes himself to his feet, rubbing the back of his head.

She doesn't waste much time on laughter, though. As Jesus rushes toward the water, Mercury uses her boosted but fading speed to swoop down in front of the red water type. Spinning around, she runs her left wing through the dampened dirt from last round, and swipes a nice blob of it right into Totodile's face. He stops abruptly, hunches down and raises his claws to his eyes, trying frantically to get the soil out. Eyes stinging, he can't see Mercury, but he knows that she's in front of him, and raises his arms again to summon forth the water. A wave rises from the small lake and rushes over the land toward both pokemon. The bird hears the rushing mass of water and uses the last of her boosted speed to get out of the way, and the aquatic attack topples over just in front of Jesus. Though the wave has already toppled, the water sloshes over him, and he opens his eyes and lets it wash the mud out. With bloodshot but cleaned eyes, he turns around and stares at Mercury with malice. She feels a bit disheartened that he can see already, and sighs.

Even with his eyesight remaining a bit blurry, Jesus knows that they'll clear up very soon now that the particles washed out. He anxiously awaits the next round while Mercury looks toward her trainer, who rubs his chin in contemplation.

Battle
The two trainers waste no time giving their orders, and both Pidgeotto and Jesus give coherent nods as they look back toward one another.

Mercury acts first, pulling her wings back. She gathers an air current around her soft feathers, giving them a sky blue shine. As she concentrates on building up energy, Jesus runs toward the slightly blurry bird as fast as he can. His jaw is just open, and within his mouth a very faint darkness flows between his sharp inscizors. Unfortunately, his speed is lacking, and before he can reach his target Mercury has gathered an ample amount of power for her attack. She powerfully thrusts her wings toward Jesus, blasting out a thin, concentrated pulse of air. The light blue air blade speeds down and slams Totodile, nearly blowing him off his feet and causing him to wail in pain. He's left with a vertical bruise down almost his entire body, but he shakes his head, ignoring the pain, and keeps rushing at Pidgeotto. He leaps up, fully opening his jaws and snapping down hard on Mercury's neck. The water type snarls as he holds on to the bird with all his strength, despite her cries and struggling. Satisfied with the damage done, Jesus lets go and drops to the ground. Pidgeotto's eyes are closed in pain, doing her best to fight off the sting.

Despite the wound, she's still plenty strong, and turns her attention groundword. With her opponent just below her, it takes mere moments for her to strike as she powerfully beats her wings and rushes toward him. Mercury crashes full force into him, knocking him to the ground with a yelp. She uses the momentum to speed over the grass, causing it to sway as she soars past. Jesus grunts and pushes himself back to his feet with his arms, spotting Mercury as she circles back around comes to a stop facing him. He stabs both clawed forearms into the ground and flicks the dirt aside until he finds a number of stones, which are hurled by the crimson gator toward Pidgeotto. She soars around the first, but each subsequent rock smashes into her. With each hit she's knocked back a bit, letting out a squak each time. The bird lets out a sigh as the barrage ends, but she's still rather battered, and Totodile shakes the dirt from his hands, feeling good.

Without hesitation, Mercury extends her wings a second time, again drawing up flying energy over them. Jesus prepares his own attack, taking a deep breath and building up as much icy energy as he can within his mouth. Both pokemon charge for a few moments, and Mercury is the first to gather enough power. Her wings are again thrust forward, unleashing a second blade to cut through the air. The knife of wind speeds at Jesus, and in a bit of a panic he releases his own energy. He blows out a swirling cone of frigid wind and ice, hoping to deter the blade. The two attacks collide, but the concentrated gale cuts through the rush of cold air and bears down on Totodile. The red lizard is bowled over, which cuts his attack short as he smashes against the ground, screwing his eyes shut. Pidgeotto gets tossed about by a portion of the strong blizzard regardless, and screeches as small ice crystals cut into her body and wings. The rush of freezing air passes by and leaves Mercury shivering, wings numb and injured, making it a bit more difficult to fly.

Jesus gets back to his feet a bit more slowly than before, arms over his bruised chest, as he looks toward his trainer. Mercury waits for her trainer as well, though she just listens as she tries to shake the frost from her wings.

The trainers don't miss a beat as Round 4 begins. They yell their orders to each pokemon, and the 2 battlers nod and glare at one another for a moment before acting.

Mercury breaks the stare, as she closes her eyes in concentration. Beside herself, a pair of identical Pidgeotto suddenly flash into sight, her defense against the inevitable incoming attacks. She smiles, feeling fairly safe, as Jesus widens his jaw. Chill energy masses between his tooth-lined jaws, forming into an orb which is surrounded by a frigid mist. The brilliant blue sphere shimmers in the sunlight, and Totodile lets out a cry as the energy jets outward. A few thin, jagged beams encircle one another to become a single concentrated ray of ice which cuts through the air. The swift beam closes in on one of the birds, and there's a moment of tension as either trainer wonders if its the real one. The tension is cut just as the illusion, and the beam juts through the pigeon without pause. Shimmering, the ghostly visage fades away as the icy beam shoots off into the sky, eventually fizzling some distance away. Both pokemon let out a sigh, Mercury out of relief but the red Totodile out of exasperation and annoyance.

Though she's avoided the first attack, Mercury still feels a bit threatened so close to the ground. She and her clone flap their wings and soar upward, rising higher and higher while keeping the little aligator in her sights. She slows as she reaches a substancial height, at ease in the sky. Jesus' head follows Pidgeotto as she goes up, wondering just how he's going to manage to hit her all the way up there. He raises his arms as he summons up another massive wave from the lake, pushing it as high as he can manage but unfortunately still woefully short of the bird. He grunts and struggles, trying to push it even higher, but getting the heavy water to such a height is nigh impossible even for the water type. Mercury smiles to herself as Totodile growls and lowers his arms, letting the water crash back into the lake and creating a surge of water that flows over the natural barrier and soaks the ground nearby.

High in the sky, the two Pidgeotto still flutter confidently. But Mercury knows its about time to go on the offensive with the most powerful attack in her repitoire. She unleashes the entirety of her flying energy, letting it engulf her entire body in a a shining aura of blue. The glow becomes so intense that she pratically appears as a bird shaped mass of energy. Jesus doesn't like the looks of this, and he opens his mouth and gathers up frost for a second freeze ray. The ice sphere pulsates, reaching a good size, as Mercury and her clone start their attack. She folds her wings and dives groundward, energy streaking behind her as she becomes a mere blurr hurtling at Totodile. Faced with the pair of dangerously fast birds, he makes a split second decision and unleashes his frosty attack upon one of the swiftly approaching avians. The shimmering bird and frigid beam connect for a moment before the pigeon vanishes without a trace, just as before. The ice juts upward unhindered, but Jesus doesn't have much time to be disappointed as Mercury spreads her wings at the last moment. She skims over the ground and then crashes into Jesus with an incredible amount of force, instantly stopping the frosty blast. The croc lets out a scream as he's carried by Pidgeotto's momentum, aura of wind energy overtaking him and further injuring him even after the initial impact. With her wings spread wide, Mercury winces as she uses them to slow herself and let Jesus fly back, gravity kicking and and bringing tumbling across the earth. Some distance away the water type comes to a halt, howling in pain and lying there on the ground. Pidgeotto slows herself, brilliant glow fading away.

Exausted by the attack, Mercury struggles to catch her breath, yet feels good having given her foe a good bash while avoiding damage herself. Totodile just lies there in pain, intense bruise already visible on his side. Mega Horny looks at his injured pokemon and then glares at MLG, who just snickers.

Oh, and a reminder, if a pokemon hits 0% energy it'll spend 1 round to "recoup". It can still attack during that time, but attacks will be weaker, the pokemon will be slower to react, and its defense will be weakened. After that, it'll regain 25% energy and continue as normal. Hitting 0% a second time means a KO, however.

Battle
Round 5 is upon us, and the trainers are keeping the heat on in hopes of a win. Both of them shout their attacks rather loudly, getting caught up in the frenzy of battle. Mercury lets out a cry in reply, while Jesus pushes himself to his feet and nods.

Not wasting a moment, Mercury swoops down to the damp ground. She swipes her wing through the soil, and then flicks her wing forward. A blob of mud is flung at Jesus, who has little time to respond with his intended counterattack. He raises his arms to draw up the water, but gets struck in the face with the muddy projectile. The gunk spatters into his eyes, throughly blinding him and yielding an annoyed grunt, but he continues on with his attack despite the visual impairment. With his arms raised, he creates a large wave that surges over the bank of the lake and rushes forward. The tall wave approaches Mercury, in the process flowing harmlessly over Jesus and helping to clear the mud out of his eyes. Pidgeotto isn't so lucky this time, and she isn't able to get airborne in time to avoid the tidal wave. She gets blasted by the water as it crashes down on her, knocking her down and shoving her along with the current. Its momentum stops and the water starts to soak into the ground, leaving Mercury in the mud. Coughing, she flits her wings and throws droplets in every direction. Jesus scrapes at his eyes, still plagued by a bit of mud.

Though soaked, the bird is resolved to keep on fighting. She flaps her wings and takes to the sky as she eyes her blinded adversary. And with that, she beats her wings and starts to pick up speed, soaring straight at Jesus. The croc is oblivious to her approach as he tries to clear the last bits of soil from his eyes. Sheer speed leaving behind a wake of disturbed air, Mercury speeds at Totodile and crashes full-force into his head. The blow sends the water type hurtling back into the mud. He scrambles to his feet, eyes still slightly muddy, and aims toward the direction of the attack. He inhales deeply, building up a mass of frosty energy. After a few seconds gathering energy, he blasts out a cone of freezing wind accompanied by icicle shards and plenty of snow. The frigid attack spirals forward, but unfortunately accomplishes nothing but chilling the air, Mercury having moved to the side while the attack built up. Jesus hears no sound and wonders if the bird has become a popsicle, but then he hears her chuckling playfully. He growls and scrapes the last bit of mud from his eyes, turning to the side to see Pidgeotto fluttering safetly there.

Starting to feel quite tired, Totodile makes for the lake, hoping to dive beneath its surface and rest himself. But before he can get more than a few steps, Mercury flaps her wings and soars into his back, smacking him with swift agility. He stumbles and nearly falls over, hissing with pain, but manages to keep upright and keeps on running. He reaches the lake in short time and leaps up, diving in with enthusiasm. Submerging to a respectable depth, he lets the cool water soothe his sore body and takes a breather. Pidgeotto flutters over to the lake and looks down, just barely able to see him deep beneath the waters surface.

Both pokemon wait, neither engaged with one another for the moment. Mercury flutters about, knowing that the croc will have to come out some time, but Jesus isn't even considering emerging as he floats calmly and enjoys the water.

With Jesus down in the lake and Pidgeotto overhead, the trainers shout loudly their orders for the sixth round, especially Mega Horny, who practically explodes his lungs screaming. The two pokemon give nods in reply and then face off.

Going on defense while her opponent hides in the deep, Mercury once again shuts her eyes tightly in deep thought. Her body seemingly splits into 3, all fluttering about aimlessly above the lake in waiting. But the birds' wait is just about over, as Jesus swishes his tail and swims up to the surface. He opens his strong jaws and a frigid mist starts to form between them, eventually massing into a growing sphere. Floating on the surface of the water, Totodile lets a jagged, glowing beam of ice fly toward one of the 3 birds. The pulsing ray cuts straight through the Pidgeotto, and it disappears a moment later while the icy blast flies off into the sky harmlessly. Jesus shuts his jaws and breaths heavily, really starting to tire out and getting quite annoyed at his opponent's multiplication tricks.

Mercury grins, clone still floating by her side. She looks down at the tiring water type, and knows its ready for her to do some damage. Her beak opens, and she fires a swarm of sharp, star shaped energy bolts. Like dozens of tiny comets, the glowing stars shoot through the air and bombard Jesus relentlessly. He gets pushed down into the water a bit as the spray of projectiles slice at him, leaving him with minescule cuts over his body. The barrage cuts off soon, and Mercury closes her mouth while still looking down at Totodile, just under the surface. He cringes for a moment, then shakes the pain off and resurfaces with a splash, mouth already open. Again he draws ice energy from within his body, gathering it into a throbbing sphere. As he cries out, a few cold streaks shoot out of the ball, swirling and jutting through one another to form a single blast. The target this time is the left-most Pidgeotto, but luck isn't with Jesus this time either. The frosty ray again finds no solid matter, and pierces through the illusory double just as the first. Jesus breaths very heavily, at this point completely fed up with the bird.

Though she's now feeling a bit threatened without any protection, Mercury goes right on with her offense. Beak opening a second time, it glows for a brief moment before she unleashes another swarm of sharpened projectiles. Again Jesus finds himself attacked with numerous stars, each one causing a small but sharp sting. He lets out an injured scream, but the water does well enough soothing his fresh wounds. He's able to fight off the pain and, though feeling utterly exausted, a third time opens his jaws wide. An icy mist curls between his teeth, icy orb again growing in his mouth. The freezing beam is again blasted forward, this time hitting its intended target. Mercury takes the hit to her left side, and the chill cuts into her while a layer of frost forms around the impact area. The frost increases and starts to turn into a crystaline layer of ice around the joint for her wing. She cries out, and struggles to keep airborne with her wing partially frozen. Awkwardly, Pidgeotto makes her way to the shore and lands, unable to stay in flight. Jesus cracks a weak grin, while gasping for breath.

With Jesus nearing complete exaustion, and Mercury's wing chilled, both pokemon are in a bit of a tough spot. But their trainers think about the next round, remaining confident.

Battle
Mercury stares on intently toward her opponent, who stands weak and breathing heavily while awaiting his trainer. The bird turns her head back toward her trainer as the ghost lover gives his commands, then glances back as Jesus nods to his own trainer, though he looks somewhat confused.

To start off the round, Mercury raises her head to the sky, eyes closed with concentration. A soft orange glow surrounds her body as she beckons to the sun. Already the clouds start to disappear, soon leaving the sky completely clear and the sunlight brightly shining down upon the arena. The bird stands basking in the sun, heat starting to melt away the ice around her wing, presumably the intention of her trainer. She opens her eyes to gaze at the exausted lizard, who has his eyes closed as well. Nervously wondering what he's up to, a feeling of relief and confusion washes over her as she sees him starting to glow just as she had. His prayer to the large fiery ball does little good since its already beating down strongly, but Jesus nonetheless finds himself expending the last of his energy. Eyes drooping, he falls to his knees, feeling completley drained. Mercury watches him hawkishly, ready to take her chance.

But she has a problem of her own. Though the ice is starting to melt away in the heat, enough time hasn't past for it to be completely cleared off her wing. She tries to flap her wing to get airborne despite the ice, but can't even manage that well enough for flight, and certainly won't be able to move at a blinding speed for her attack. Letting out a distressed squak, Pidgeotto starts to peck at the icy buildup. Though exausted and barely able to stand, Jesus stands opposite the bird and sees an opportunity. Pushing his limits, he grunts as he stands up and starts to trot toward the distracted pigeon. The water type knows he won't be able to muster any sort of speed, but he's intent to make due with what he can. He ambles up to Mercury, who is still engrossed in ridding the ice and obviously to his approach. He lashes out with one hand, stabbing the bird with his small, sharp claws. She lets out a suprised cry at the minor sting of Jesus' attack. The gator steps back cautiously, gasping for breath and weary of the annoyed glare that Mercury just gave him.

His weariness isn't without cause. The bird lets out an angry chirp, and then opens her mouth. A sphere of glowing yellow forms in her beak, and then she unleashes a torrent of pointed bursts. The ninja star-esque projectiles cut through the air and slash across the helpless Totodile, causing him to screech in pain and screw his eyes shut. His body now covered in tiny cuts and scrapes, Jesus folds his arms over his chest and groans. Fighting the pain and exaustion both, he lets out a grunt and opens his own jaws. A glow not unlike Pidgeotto's, although dimmer, takes shape in his mouth. He blasts his own Swift attack out, quickly giving Mercury a taste of her own medicine. The swirling star rays cut across her feathery body, leaving her scraped up a bit just like her opponent. She whines a bit, but feels a renewed confidence as she feels her wing finally losen up. Majority melted or pecked away, the last shards of ice fall to the ground and shatter, leaving Pidgeotto unhindered and ready for flight.

Round finished, Totodile drops back to the ground. He tries to tap into the last of his energy reserve and get one final surge, but isn't quite there yet. Mercury looks toward her trainer confidently, awaiting her next attacks while spreading her wings freely.

Battle
As Round 8 starts up, both trainers watch their pokemon intently. After a few minutes of thought, they each issue their orders to the respective pokemon. Both give slow, but confident nods.

To start off the round, Mercury shoots an intense glare at Totodile. But the glance soon turns from anger to pleasentness. Her expression softens, and she starts to coo cutely at the little gator. Seeing her wings spread, grinning at him, Jesus suddenly feels weak at the knees. He now notices that the bird is actually quite pretty. His mind wanders as he admires her beauty. Though still ready to battle, as he opens his jaws and draws in a breath, the state of his mind doesn't allow him complete concentration. The gathered frosty energy between his jaws is rather minescule, his thoughts completely tattered by both Pidgeotto's move and his own exaustion. Even still, he blows out a severely weakened rush of wind and snow. The attack is warmed by the heat as it rushes toward Mercury, but despite all the weakening she lets out a pained cry as the chilly gust blows over her feathers. Ending rather quickly, she shakes her wings and shivers briefly, but recovers in short time. Opposite her, Totodile is still rather preoccupied with the bird, but his body does finally summon up his final rush of energy. He feels his strength return, and is ready to go again.

Mercury pays it little heed, however. She's quite ready to go on the offensive, and spreads her wings to take to the air. Totodile further admires her as she lifts herself up, and even watches her eagerly as she starts to beat her wings rapidly to attack. Faint waves of dragon energy eminate from her as she flaps, and they combine with the blowing wind to form a pinkish whirlwind on the ground. The swirling vortex picks up grass and dirt as it starts to rush forward, straight toward Jesus. The storm overtakes him quickly, lifting him up and whipping him around within the storm. He starts to get a bit dizzy as he spins around and around, dragonic energy causing a mild burning sensation as it encircles him. The storm lasts only briefly though, and it soon blows itself appart. Pink energy dissipates into the air, while the dust, grass, and Jesus himself are all dropped to the ground. Smashing into the earth with a thud, he lies there and groans before digging his claws into the dirt and pushing himself up. The water type shakes his head, then sucks in a breath. Drawing frigid energy from within his body, he forms a sphere in the center of his jaws. A cutting beam of frost is blasted from the crocs jaw. Mercury takes the hit dead on, shrieking as the chilly energy blasts her chest. The jagged cyan beam keeps at her for a few moments, then dissipates and Jesus closes his mouth. Pidgeotto tries to block out the pain.

Having already worked herself quite a bit with the prior tumultuous combo, the pidgeon flutters there unable to pull of another attack this round. Totodile lets himself look the bird over a bit more, then tries to focus on drawing up another icy burst. The pulsing sphere of ice is weaker as before, still unable to focus completely, but it'll suffice nicely. Jesus shouts as he fires the ray of ice at his flying-type adversary. Small streaks of blue jut about one another to form a concentrated laser of ice, which streaks through the sky and smashes into Mercury. Another loud screech is heard as a frigid chill overtakes the Pidgeotto. The sting of the ice cuts deep, causing a good amount of damage to the flier before it ends. Jesus finds himself starting to tire out again and really wishes the bird would just fall, pretty though she may be.

An amount of frost has formed on Mercury's body, but the warm sunlight already is melting it down, leading to water dripping off the bird and falling to the dirt below. She winces, really feeling the pains of battle, and her opponent doesn't look much better. Jesus is already breathing heavily, and under a deal of pain himself. Neither will give up, but it seems one may be forced to very soon, and the trainers plot to pull the victory out from one another.

As Round 9 begins, it's clear that it may not last very long before one of the battered pokemon falls. And with that knowledge, both trainers give their commands with gusto, and the wounded creatures nod.

Already nearly free from frost, and with droplets of water dripping from her feathers, Mercury moves to finish this battle. She pulls her wings back and focuses her mind on her internal energies. Her power manifests on her wings, a shimmering glow of cyan creeping over her ruffled feathers. The power masses for a moment, and then Pidgeotto performs a single powerful wing flap which sends a very thin and almost invisible blade of air cutting through the sky at Jesus. Exausted and eyes almost closed with pain, the crocodile doesn't even notice the attack speeding for him. That is, until it smashes into him. The powerful blast of wind knocks Totodile off his feet as he yelps in a genuinely suprised manor. Jesus smashes into the ground, head feeling faint and his stomach stinging fiercely. Only by sheer willpower does he not succumb to the pain, and weakly moves his left hand over the gash as he slowly gets to his feet. He knows that he needs to go on the offensive with haste, and takes in a deep breath. Though still hindered by the bird's grace, he draws up as much water energy from his core as possible. It all masses just inside his jaw, and hand still over his cut, he thrusts his head forward and unleashes a brutal torrent of chilly water. The attack is impressively large, particularly from such a small pokemon. Mercury gets blasted by the immense jet of water, and the sheer force alone makes it impossible to resist the current. The bird gets forced back by the potent stream, and becomes completely drenched as it splatters, cries of pain being muffled by the rushing water. When the attack finally ends, Jesus drops his stance and gasps for breath. Mercury skids across the ground, chest bruised and wimpering in pain.

Like Totodile, however, Mercury isn't going to give up. Fighting off the pain, she gets back to her feet, then spreads her wings and takes to the air. The pidgeon knows its time to finish this, and quickly. She sets her sights squarely on Jesus, who isn't a particularly hard target since he's exausted from his last attack. Grinning, Pidgeotto beats her wings and starts to soar toward him, picking up speed quickly. In moments she's flying at breakneck speed, and leaving visible wake in the air behind her. Letting out a squak, she closes in on Totodile and leaves him no time to react. Mercury collides with her injured opponent, momentum making the blow quite painful. The crocodile flies back, eyes closed tightly with pain, while Pidgeotto peels off and soars upward. Tumbling back after crashing into the ground, Totodile lets off a noticably weak grunt and then falls silent. When he skids to a stop, he appears immobile, and Mercury slows down and assesses her fallen opponent. She lets out a cry of glee when she see's him lying defeated in the grass.

With the first bout decided, Mega Horny mumbles something as he holds up Jesus' pokeball, using the red laser from the sphere to pull his defeated pokemon back to safety. He thinks about what to use next as MLG glances up towards his injured but victorious bird, giving her a smile. Overhead the intense sunlight starts to wane, whisps of clouds starting to return.
